Nice showroom and really nice people! We ended up going in a different direction for our couch, but would have totally bought one from them. The sales folks were really helpful and very low pressure, which is critical for me. Looking forward to going back when we need some other things.

Customer service was superb. We had ordered a leather chair, and it arrived but with a squeak in the base that we couldnt get rid of. Asked if they would replace it, and they said Yes, with no issues. While waiting, we decided that another color would work better, and they changed the colors with no problem. Finally, we decided that we really needed a loveseat instead of the chair, and they applied the value of the chair to the loveseat so we only paid for the price difference.Hattie was very easy to work with, and always very pleasant.

The ordering process was easy. It was going to take 30 days to get my furniture. They let me know of the change in schedule my product was being delivered earlier than expected. The delivery was easy as well. They unwrapped my furniture took all the wrapping and that was it. Love my new furniture!!

Dania of Portland has beautiful furniture. I purchased one of their lounge chairs. The person who assisted me was terrific. She clearly knew the product. Helped me make a decision on which chair to purchase. I came back 3 times before I made a decision and never felt any pressure. I ordered it in a color that is done in Norway and it should be delivered soon.

Recently bought a Lorus leather loveseat from Dania Portland. Customer service was excellent - there to answer questions, but gave you the space to move throughout the store at your leisure without being overbearing :D Couch is beautiful, comfortable & well designed. It took a couple of months to ship, but arrived earlier than originally expected. Pickup process was super easy even though we needed separate delivery up to Vancouver, WA. Highly recommend.

I bought a coffee table and two end tables. The end tables were back ordered, which was fine. They arrived earlier than expected (yay!), but when I opened them after they were delivered, one was damaged. It was reordered, and when it arrived at the store my salesperson put it in her car and delivered to my door, picking up the damaged one. That was to save me from paying for another delivery service. Good customer service!Also, each time I called the store I was able to get someone live who could help me. I’ll be a returning customer.

Customer service and satisfaction guarantee here is a joke. Could have been a simple fix for an expensive new couch. Their advice was to fluff and rotate cushions instead of helping us with a suitable fix. Very nice until they have your money.

Loved their furniture! They have very modern things. Very different than what you will find at the furniture stores in town. At first I thought that it was going to be super expensive but it ended up being very affordable and better quality than anything I have seen. I like modern furniture and they had a lot of things to choose from.

Great selection and very friendly. Nearly all my furniture of from Dania. Docked one star because the chair I purchased most recently was the last of its kind and therefor a floor model which was discounted and non-returnable. Only a few weeks later I realised that the chair had been broken and repaired with glue. The glue separated and a piece of wood came off the chair making it unstable.

This is the best furniture I have found in Portland for a huge selection of high quality, well built, solid and stylish furniture at very reasonable prices. For example there is a huge selection of beautiful and functional coffee tables in the $400 - $700 range.

I love the table. I am blown away at how cool this table is. It can seat 6 or 20! I LOVE it. The walnut color is very nice and it does get some water and heat damage so be careful with it, but it is beautiful!!

I was greeted by a friendly employee as I entered the establishment. The showroom looked very nice. However, I did not see much that caught my eye. It looked like an upgraded IKEA but with well built furniture. Prices were a little high for some items. I did see a vase that I liked, but I would rather get an antique piece with real history.

Weve purchased many things from Dania and always had a positive in-store experience. I would suggest however that if you need delivery you request Topline Delivery. They are a small, locally owned company and their folks are outstanding. Too Big For My Car consistently uses inexperienced delivery people who bungle their way through delivery - which explains why its a less expensive option for Dania. Support decent wage jobs and local companies by requesting Topline if you shop at Dania (or anywhere else for that matter) and need delivery.

Unusually good service. We knew what we wanted, walked in and they were very helpful. Didnt try to up-sell or anything. Then they called to let us know the delivery was going to be delayed by a day and then called the next day to let us know that it ended up on time after all. The communication was just really refreshing. The actual design of the furniture is tame - little bit of everything at reasonable prices. Quality seems to be high for the price. I will be going back! Keep it up!

Great store and great customer service. We like the modern Scandinavia styled furniture (which isn’t for everyone) but believe it’s a timeless look that we will not get tired of. Most of the items in the store will cost a little more than a typical furniture store but items do go on sale. I believe you get what you pay for and think the furniture is fairly priced. Worked directly with the store manager, he is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Stellar quality and service! I am beyond satisfied with everything I purchased here. Shannon, Jan, and the entire staff are so helpful. Sure it is more expensive than Ashley and some of the other standard furniture stores. Dania is higher end than those stores, they dont sale the same the items. You may be able to find a similar look but the quality sets Dania apart from the others. I purchased a couple of pieces from Ashley and I am paying for it after the fact. 5 deliveries of the same bed and they still cant get it right. My custom couch from Dania was delivered within the quoted 6 week timeline in perfect condition. It was well worth the wait. It is a beatiful and comfortable couch that was manufactured locally. Everyone comments on the dining table/chairs and patio furniture I chose. They are both unique and tasteful. I am so glad I found Dania!

Nice store with a great deal of selection of Euro type furniture. They also carry some local (Oregon) brands of furniture too. We purchased a bedroom set and are still very happy with the quality and finish of the furniture. The sales folks at Dania are helpful - my only disappointment was with the Dania folks who helped me load the furniture and mattress into my rental truck...they could have been a bit nicer. Overall, I can recommend Dania if you are looking for more modern, high quality furniture.

I went of to Dania Furniture to buy some more bookshelves.....as had bought some in the early 90s there. They were very helpful and I got a new bookshelf....but when I had trouble putting it together....they came to my home and helped me finally put it together. I love Dania and have purchased half of my home furniture there, including everything for my outdoor patio and bedroom. Their selection is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful. When I need something but am overwhelmed by the world of home furniture, I just go to Dania to pick out something I like and trust that it will look good in my home at a reasonable price. I definitely recommend this place to others!

The showroom was clean, good quality furniture but expensive. The coffee table we got has been holding up good with a baby and two dogs. The dude left us alone and was very helpful when we had questions. Your customer service is light years away from anyone in northern California.

My wife and I searched across Portland for a mid-century modern style sofa and sofa sectional and found both items with high quality and reasonable price at Dania. Many retro furniture boutiques we visited carry new and refurbished sofas that look attractive but have inner springs or stuffing that felt crunchy, like sitting on a box of cereal. Danias furniture felt comfortable and well crafted. The helpful store manager, Jan, was full of information about furniture construction, fabrics and leather. Danias subcontracted delivery service did a fine job installing in our house.

I have ordered a number of pieces through her and found that her information on availability and shipping times is always accurate.I ordered one particular table from Dania and found that the hardware to put it together hadnt been included in the box that it came in. Dania sent one of its employees to me at 6 pm in Clackamas, 9 miles from Portland, to deliver a set of hardware to me. Amazing!!Thank you Dania!!

After 6 months of looking for furniture we could love... And really bring our house together... We happened upon Dania.We loved their selection and the store manager personally took a lot of time to consult with us. He helped us plan our space out so that we didnt crowd it and pick the right furniture for us. We went there looking for a couch but also needed a few other items. We ended up purchasing Everything we needed to furnish our living room and dining room in one shopping trip and got our furniture delivered within the week!This is the way it should always be. Easy, affordable, and one stop with a great sales experience. We will be back when it comes time to furnish other rooms.

My rave is about customer service. Im a therapist, and Ive used a recliner for my clients which I bought at Danias over 30 years ago. It barely shows wear although thousands of people have sat in it. Last month something snapped inside and the right side slumped. It was unusable. I took it to the service department, and asked it if could possibly be fixed, although I doubted it could be. To my great surprise and delight, Kelly repaired the recliner, and at no charge!!! Thats customer service.

Great experience shopping for living room furniture recently. The sales person was very nice and knowledgeable, no pressure, but super helpful. Store had many options both low and high end on the price and a wall of upholstery options which is great when you are looking for something specific or just want to peruse options We ended up buying locally produced Stanton couches which we love! Fast and super curteous delivery. Highly recommeded!

My niece reminded me Dania has helped us in the past when I purchased a daveno, in a lovely red. We will utilize Dania as eeded.I appreciated browsing until we found the bed and frame. After which getting the bed and a high comfortable sized chair that can be used at a computer I completed my purchase.The employee was efficient and professional.Delivery and setup was speedy by TooBigForMyCar.I recommend Dania.

We support local business with our local dollars, but we expect a reasonable value for our dollar and that defects will be managed to protect the reputation of the retailer. Unfortunately, this has not been our experience when going to Dania over many years, and many pieces purchased for our home and business. You may as well shop ikea, because you cant count on quality being the rule at Dania, and you cant count on them standing behind products in the long run. We have a desk chair that appeared to be leather, but was actually leatherette. Be warned: Dania no longer carries the manufacturer and only provides manufacturers warranty. When the chair delaminated, they offered no assistance, except providing the manufacturers name and the name of the product. We also own two real leather benches that have buttons in the upholstery. They sit on each side of our dining table and get equal wear. One bench started losing buttons right away, and was replaced on warranty. As years went on, only one bench continued to lose almost all its buttons, while the other has lost none. This is clearly a defect, given the equal use of the benches. Dania no longer carries this brand, either, and will not pay for the buttons to be put back by a pro. Long and short of it is, you may as well go to Ikea, pay less, and plan for your furniture to be disposable in 5 years, because you cant count on quality to hold-up at Dania, and they will not stand behind it. You will pay more at Dania for questionable quality. Were bummed.

Bought a leather couch and chair here 7 years ago. Within a year the couch sagged in the middle and cushions ripped. We are not big people...it just is wimpy material. Within two the mesh structure under the arm of the chair ripped so it sagged. 5 years in and the bonded leather is flaking like crazy. Quality has much to be desired. At least we got it on sale but wont be coming back.

I had just moved to Portland, excited to furnish my new home. I didnt have a bed, so I started with that. I went in to the Northeast store location, excited by the floor models and lovely furniture. I came back the next day and selected a beautiful bed and mattress. As I was currently sleeping at my daughters I was anxious for a quick delivery. I was told it would be about 2 weeks. I gave a sizeable deposit, $500.After 2 weeks I heard nothing, so I called. The original lovely sales person was not available. Told I should never have been promised the product in 2 weeks... Something about the manufacturer being slow , but as I purposely chose a Portland made bed, that didnt make sense.But I accepted, and waited.Another 2 weeks. By now I had moved in and was sleeping on the floor of my new place. I called, and eventually went in, to be handled by an amazingly surly manager who simply stated there was nothing he could do ...I canceled my order and requested my money back. The kicker: a hefty cancellation fee, and the money had to come from their mothership in California. I waited at least 2 weeks for that too....Happy ending, I bought a great bed on sale at Macys. Delivered in 4 days, no delivery charge and on sale. Not as glamorous as the made in Portland beauty, but suitable. The sad part, I intended to furnish my entire home, bit at a time. Ive never been back to Dania. Great concept, lousy lousy service.
