I came to get a half pound of peanut butter breath and left with much more than just weed. I left with a sense that this was a place to come back to. Richard was such a great help and so informative. I felt heard and appreciated, and they were very interested in my pizza champion story. I will be back.

If you care about your meds being grown with care (and without pesticides) this is THE PLACE to shop. Amazing selection of everything you could want at a dispensary. Great prices. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. No weird food dyes or corn syrup in the edibles. I feel like this is the only dispensary Ive ever shopped at that actually cares about my health, and not just making money off of what is hype. Dont waste your money or time at other dispensaries in the Portland area.

Very home spun little spot that makes you feel like youre visiting an old friends place. The staff were kind, friendly and fun, and made some solid medicine recommends. Its all organic as well, I believe, so products are priced accordingly. Gorilla Glue is 🔥!

Very welcoming. Wonderful variety gorgeous buds. I keep coming back, the budtenders are really attentive and are super patient. The experience is worth the trip. Update: I was able to head down to Home Grown today and talk with Richard about my clones and showed him some pictures of the plants. We both agreed that somewhere along the line the clones had been nute burned and Richard took care of me with an exchange and quarantined the previous ones. I picked out some new clones and theyll go right out into the garden with some fresh soil. Richard was very helpful and I am glad everything got sorted out. The new clones I recieved look very nice as replacements. I was also in the market for some flower and Richard pointed me towards Garlic Mints which he said is his current favorite. Richard is very informed on all things cannabis related. I am very satisfied with the level of communication and service at Home Grown and Ill be back again when Im ready for more clones. Thank you so much for helping me feel good about this years grow.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I didnt want to leave this low review because the people I interacted with were very helpful and friendly and the buying exp was nice but the product is just not good. I recently purchased 4 clones and transplanted them into some 20 gal containers. Within 2 days most of the leaves of 3 of the clones were bleaching white and dying and the fourth was curling badly. I have tried to contact homegrown through their webpage to ask for some help on what they were giving their clones and that I am very worried that these little guys are going to be stunted because of the bad shape they were in but sadly there has been no reply to my email attempts. I have grown many plants in the same location and have never had issues with growing anything on my property. These symptoms are from either/both over fertilizing and/or light burn and usually manifest later as the leaves develop so I had no way of knowing they were going to do this. I have spent the past week and a half babying these clones and flushing them and so far most of the new growth is coming in green and healthy but I am not at all satisfied with my purchase. I do recall several of the clones in the bin were not doing great but that doesnt usually indicate that everything is bad. I was really looking forward to growing some purple giggle bush this year but I might have to start over if these little clones dont take off within the next 10 days.

One of the best dispensaries in Portland if not THE best! Everything here is organically grown, plus they sell all sorts of herbs and stuff. Its a 2 part store with an herb shop and dispensary. This weekend they had 6 different $29 ounces of good organic stuff! I ended up coming here because I went to 3 other shops and smelled nothing but chemicals with a slight cannabis oder. The market is flooded with nasty stuff. Dont smoke poison. Seek organic

Extremely disappointing clones. To start from the beginning, I ordered clones during the early spring, thinking theyd arrive in time for the planting season. I live in Corvallis, but Id heard enough good things about Home Grown Apothecary on the web that I thought it would be worth it to have my girlfriend pick them up (she lives in Portland). They told me theyd arrive at a decent time (early May). When the time came, they told me that they had mixed up my order and that it wouldnt be ready for another two weeks. This was obviously disappointing, but it seemed ok because theyd still arrive in a good planting window. When two weeks passed, they called again and said there was an emergency on the farm and the clones would be delayed another four days. I understand that growing can be unpredictable, but on top of the original two week delay it started to put me at the end of the best planting season.When they finally arrived, I asked my girlfriend to pick them up. I called ahead, and they told me that her name would be sufficient to pick up the order. When she arrived, they acted confused, and wanted proof of the order, and finally called me on the phone to verify. Again, this isnt unreasonable, but its not what they said to me on the phone, and it made the pick up unnecessarily stressful.Now the clones have arrived. It they were good clones, all would be forgiven, but thats not the case. They very small (4 and 6 inches tall, one with a stem about an eighth of an inch diameter, on a little larger maybe 3/16th of an inch). One has a decent stem, the other looks weak and contorted. Theyve obviously been transplanted recently. To top it all off, one has aphids on it (the golden lemons, if youre reading this and trying to clean up your grow).Ive never written an online review, and Ive never asked for a refund for anything, but Ill be calling Home Grown Apothecary once they open. Ill update this review if theyre response.tldr: Clones were three weeks late, were sad and bug infested, stressful experience.Image are of the two clones next to another one I bought from a different dispensary (in Corvallis) for the same price a couple days ago (just planted). The other image is of one of the aphids.EDIT: They gave me a full refund, so Ive updated the review to say that their customer service is excellent.

I love this place. They have a great selection and a healthy feel. It doesnt feel like a weed store but, they have good product. The have some other herbal products which is nice when you want to get other healthy stuff. Mostly I just like the people there and respectable atmosphere. I always have a good experience.

I’ve been smoking for 4 years and have been to many dispensaries in multiple states, and this is without the doubt THE BEST one I’ve been to. I live near 3 dispensaries in walking distance, yet I’d much rather take the extra time to go farther out to Homegrown Apothecary for their top service and product quality. I get excited every time I have to go because the energy of the employees and the atmosphere is welcoming and uplifting. Every product that I have tried is superb. Everything is organic, largest range of cbd, an apothecary of herbs, knowledgeable employees, delicious product, and all things needed to make it an amazing experience. Whether you’re just visiting Portland or you live around town, I highly recommended coming here!

This is my favorite dispensary in Portland. It is super unique and beautiful. A Truly Portland experience. They are a woman owned business, which won me over right away, But in addition to that they also do ONLY organic cannabis, and have no weird chemicals in anything. And they took my collection of doob tubes I had been saving up over the last year and are going to recycle them! Highly recommended, its bound to be your new favorite spot.

Sold me a vaporizer that stopped working after about ten uses; second time this happens to me in portland, you would think people care about sustainability here.

This is my favorite dispensary in the PDX area for medical patients. There are better rec shops, but as far as an actual medical relationship with their patients (NOT customers, patients), no other dispensary cares about its patients as much, at least in my opinion, and all of its products are top notch across the board. Its recreational prices may not be the lowest in the city, but thats (@ least from what I can tell) to help offset the incredible costs incurred by the bulk deals they are able to give to medical patients they work with, where they seem to not make much of anything, and are just about getting medications to a patient who otherwise wouldnt be able to afford it. Its a truly wonderful place to support, and I shop here any time I can afford to, even if its not one if the bulk medical deals. A caring staff who know what theyre doing.

Went in today to get some of their advertised Holy Widow for $39. After fighting traffic for an hour to get to their location, the counter person said their media person was on vacation and they dont honor their prices online and immediately tried to get me to buy something more than twice as expensive. Never going back if they are going to bait and switch. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Recently found out that my body and immune system cannot handle any inorganic chemicals due to glyphosate poisoning, and it’s been hard trying to find cannabis that actually helps relieve some symptoms, without also giving me different ones. I was so happy to find Home Grown and meet their knowledgeable staff- it felt like I’d come home! The flower was the best I’ve had in my three and a half years in Portland. Also, as a practicing herbal and energetic healer, the non-cannabis section is an absolute dream as well! It’s not easy to find such a wide array of organic medicinal herbs, as well as people who know so much about them. My wife and I stopped in to find something for an injury I have been dealing with since Dec 1st of last year. I am sick of taking Norco and Tramadol and wanted something else. The staff here was AMAZING!!! I have never met a better trained staff working in cannabis! I grew in Colorado for a local dispensary and NONE of our budtenders knew much at all. The experience here was awesome! I usually get discriminated in public being transgender and this was one of very very few where I was treated with respect and dignity.
