I hired The Heat Pump Store to install ductless mini-split AC/heating in both my and my dad’s houses. In both instances, the team there (including Rhonda and Brandon) was super responsive and professional. The work was high quality and the price was fair. Highly recommended!

Jamie the lead service technician is the reason this 5-star review is not a 1-star review like I intended. We had a very frustrating experience with the heat pump store that had us never wanting to use this company again and one person changed all of that, in fact I signed up for their yearly maintenance program. We found mold in our bedroom unit and called right away to have it deep cleaned. The Service manager who we talked to told us its probably not mold and sent a technician who took one look at the mold and said sorry I am not trained in doing the deep clean that you need to get rid of the mold I am here to do the yearly maintenance to the exterior of the unit . So at the end of the service which wasnt cheap we still had mold blowing into the room we sleep. The technician was friendly and professional and apologized for not taking care of the issue. We called to ask the Service manager why someone was sent that wasnt capable of dealing with the issue we specifically called about. I am sure this person has many strengths in life but customer service isnt one of them, we were met with a defensive combative attitude and a conversation that just went around and around and led to no resolution, I asked to speak with a manager and was told they would call me back and never did. We had to call back to schedule a person to do the deep cleaning, there was no effort to make it happen sooner for us considering it wasnt our fault someone was sent who wasnt able to get rid of the mold. We waited another few weeks. We had made up our minds that after we had the issue resolved we would never use the Heat Pump store again. Jamie showed up and without me mentioning any negative interactions we had with the company, he apologized and said he knows the issue we called about wasnt taken care of the first time and that it must have been frustrating. Just that statement put me in a new mindset and had me feel heard for the first time. He was so personable and his approach made me realize how crucial customer interactions are to the success of a business, Jamie is someone I would want working for me if I owned a company! Anyone with a few skills can make a customer happy, but to turn a customer around from very displeased to now a loyal customer is something not many can do.

The service was great! When scheduling, they were courteous and were able to fit me in to a cancellation spot right away. A female arrived to complete the service and she was so professional and skilled that I wondered why I have not gone out of my way to support women led businesses more often. I plan to use this business going forward and would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had the heat pump store maintain our mini splits last year, but this year we had them enhance our system. We added another heat pump and wall unit to our home. Awesome! This one word describes the team at The Heat Pump Store. Not only was their bid competitive, the work is top notch, the team was very fast and efficient, and did a great job. From estimating, planning, scheduling and installing, these guys were on top of it all. We went with a Daikin system with low wall units. The team was able to route the lines to our two zone system into the knee wall in front of the house and the system is nearly invisible from the front of the home. Also, it is nearly silent as well, both outside and inside.As always, go ahead and get your three bids for your job but you cant go wrong with The Heat Pump Store. Our 2nd floor too hot problem is now solved!

She even offered to come in when they were closed to let me pick up the heat pump and offered wonderful advice. My research paid off when replacing my aging heatpump system. Earl the salesperson educated me on the best systems to get out here and enabled me to get a smart home solution. The techs Mark, Todd, and Electrician Gerry were awesome and knowledgeable. They were cautious by wearing all face coverings and my place was left clean right after. Very disappointed in your lack of response to our urgent pleas for assistance during this brutal heat wave. You installed our system, so naturally we turned to you for service. Evidently, providing service is not as high a priority to you as selling the system. Fortunately, we found an AC contractor who is dedicated to customer service and provided quick response. We will not recommend your company.

Rhonda and Justin made the entire process of installing my heat pump so easy. They worked around my work schedule, showed up on time, respected my office during installation and kept it clean. We bought two single room heat pumps. One small for a bedroom and a larger capacity for the great room. We love them. But when we bought them we were promised that maintenance would be $137, per unit. But today when we called for service the quote was $437.00. significantly more Id say. Since the maintenance service was part and parcel of the sales pitch, it was clearly false. We thought until today that we loved these guys. But not anymore. Too bad.

Im mechanically-inclined and purchased the owner-installed, ducted cassette mini-split. Nate did an extremely-professional hooking up/start-up of the system! The routine service was also done with professional care.

Based on his recommedations he submitted a spot on bid. Our son did the DIY part of the job. Earls team came out and finished hooking up lines, charging the system, and making sure everything worked. I have waited a few months to see how the system works. It works well for us. Still learning on it but it is doing great. I would recommend The Heat Pump Store to anyone looking to go ductless. Was very happy with the sales and installation team. The install guys did a great job and when they left there was nothing left behind. Very clean. Price was fair .All our questions were answered. I feel GREAT about my investment in my Ductless heat pumps! I got this great house with baseboard heat... so affordable heating was top priority! I researched installation companies and even before I closed on my house I knew I wanted to work with The Heat Pump Store! They were fantastic to work with from DAY ONE! They came out to my house and evaluated my house and MY needs (I hate to be cold and work from home) and designed a system specifically for ME and my house that totally makes me happy! They always promptly returned my calls and got my work booked quickly and did the work seamlessly! We worked with Craft3 to finance my system and it felt like all I had to do was say yes and they took care of coordinating everything else! I even had to call them the other day with a question about my system, and they sent a tech out immediately! He did not leave until he was confident I was 100% comfortable with the adjustment hed made! Im happy with both The Heat Pump store AND my system they installed! The one and only thing I wish I did NOT have to deal with is calling and closing out the permits for the work... seems like that should be a given that the contractor do that.

Amazing, friendly, professional service from initial call to installation. Rhonda, our salesperson, is wonderful- friendly and knowledgeable.

This will be a long and detailed review so readers can understand the various reasons for only a two star rating.1) All seemed well with the sales process and picking the equipment for my needs. I would give that initial experience five stars.2) Upon the install date however, one of the head units for the ductless heatpump were not measured correctly for the wall space. This meant it needed to be mounted NOT where we had discussed which was annoying and intrusive to the room.3) The installation of #2 above was poor (see photos). When I reported this issue, I was told that was the best it could be and that I could calk it but that was about it. That is amature work at best.4) Two of the units were wired backwards and needed another visit to fix.5) The units are VERY LOUD! Popping, creaking, buzzing and the downstairs unit has a loud draining/gurgling sound when it is done with a cycle. Sure, thermal expansion, etc., but I have lived in both Japan and New Zealand with ductless systems and none were close to this noisy. When I had a tech come out to inspect, esp. the gurgling sound of the down stairs unit, they noted the popping was normal and they had no idea about the gurgling sound and would check with the manufacturer. THPS never got back to me. Why does equipment functioning relate to the rating of the company? B/c I was sold on this system in part b/c it was so quite. A wall mounted A/C from a box store makes less noise.6) This was installed over a year ago and last week, the final straw in all of this, I got a call from THPS stating my inspection was never completed. What inspection? Oh, you are responsible to scheduling and manage the inspection for the permits we pulled for your job and this permit expires the end of this month. What? So, $7000+ after state/federal discounts and I am managing the permits of the work you did? I guess I should have budgeted all the work hours I would need to set-up and handle the inspection. Ridiculous, and I was never told I needed to do this. Furthermore, if it does not pass inspection, what then?All my call-ins to the THPS have been one of a generally dismissive nature. I had accounted for all of the above but #6 as a buyer beware type of experience, but now with the permit inspection issue, I feel a duty to warn other potential consumers about these issues: sales tactics (its super quite, it will fit fine in the small rooms you are putting the units in); poor fit and finish (see photos, incorrect wiring which means they never cross checked their work); customer service (dismissive attitude about my issues and no follow-through about an ongoing one, e.g., gurgling sounds); and customer-responsible for project completion despite how much they charge (e.g., permit inspection).As will ALL reviews on the net, take this as you will. This was just my poor experience and based on the overall reviews of the business, looks like the exception.

From the first contact on the phone to our salesman meeting with Earl and ultimately a super clean and quick installation and us basking in our now heated basement our experience was top notch with The Heat Pump Store.They didn’t try to oversell us (like two other popular companies did) and they were so prompt in communication and getting everything done for us for our Christmas guests.The guys that did the installation were courteous, clean and friendly to our whole family, including our over loving dogs.I would and already have suggested the Heat Pump Store to others.Thank you Heat Pump Store!

We had to have a last minute servicing of our heat pump units due to the sale and inspection of our home. We received short notice that we needed to have them serviced by a certain date. Although they had a full schedule, they were able to get us on their schedule and come out for the annual service with pretty short notice. Jamie, the service technician, did a great job and was very efficient, as well. I highly recommend them for the Heat Pumps themselves, which they installed, as well as their great customer service.

The Heat Pump Store is amazing! I saved so much money with their DIY package and am able to keep the factory warranty on my unit. I had thought about purchasing my own mini split online and doing all the work myself, but I was alway worried Id lose the warranty. The best thing about The Heat Pump Store was they helped me pick out the correct sized unit, give you all the directions on how to install the unit and then come out to do the final hookup and charge the heat pump. It was a really great experience. Weve had this unit for about a year now and its just a life saver. We scheduled an appointment with Rhonda and she came over (masked and safely spaced!) and evaluated our home and made some great recommendations for a minisplit heating and cooling system (She even took the time to show us some features we didn’t know about on the previously installed Daikin minisplits in our ADU). Our first bid was through a company recommended by the electric company. Very high! And the bid from the Heat pump Store was substantially lower. Same product and the service was excellent. I sought them out after my neighbor used them to install a mini-split. I had it installed two years ago, the install process was very smooth. I recently had an issue with my unit, when I called I got to talk to someone in their service department who was very knowledgeable about the unit I had and was able to help me. I also recommend if you get a mini-split you arrange to have it service through them. They recently did a full annual service on my unit and did a very thorough job. It looks and runs like brand new again, well worth the money.

The folks at the heat store were quick to respond to my query about potentially installing a mini-split in my attic. A rep came and went over everything that would need to be done for the installation and gave me some options as far as different models and how much of it I might want to do myself to save money. In the end, I let them handle it and my new unit works flawlessly, which is pretty great during this already-scorching summer :)

I would not recommend this business. They really are interested in selling new mini splits. They dont seem concerned with repairing existing units. They put the wrong printed circuit board in my compressor, a and then told me I needed a new unit for $5000. I could order the same unit with free shipping for around $2000. I contacted another HVAC technician and he he immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it.

Ross at The Heat Pump Store is professional and courteous.Our mini-spit level/ductless A/C and heater had an error code we couldnt resolve on our own, so we called in the professionals. At first he thought it was a switch and the hose needed to be replaced. That didnt work, so he dig deeper to find the person who installed it (the previous homeowner) did it incorrectly resulting in the compressor failing.We are in the middle of other costly home improvements because of other work by the previous owners and the cost of a new mini-split is nowhere in our budget. We met at a trade show and after research chose The Heat Pump Store for installation of our Heat Pump split to solve a bonus room that was too hot or too cold.. they arrived on time, installed the unit very well sealed all openings to the outside and cleaned everywhere they were. They charged us what was quoted and were able to rush our request due to an out of town guest arriving. Our experience couldnt have been better and a topline unit cost us between $2000-$4000 less than 3 other estimates.

Trent came out to look into a water leakage. He was professional, knowledable, and most courteous. If all their employees are the caliber Trent is you cant go wrong calling them for service.

Brian really nailed it with sizing the system, placing the heads, etc. The install was tidy and everything has been working really well. Good product, great service. I’ve used them twice and wouldn’t hesitate to call them a third time. Oh, and they were the low bid :).

This was the most reasonably priced of all the contractors I contacted. they were on time, did the install for the agreed on price, and were prompt to follow up with any post-installation questions. Highly recommended.

We have had our system since 2014. The Heat Pump Store provided the only quote that made sense for our house. Others were cheaper but didn’t make any sense for our layout. We just had service out to check on the compressor and had prompt and professional service.

This was a great experience from beginning to end. I made one trip to the The Heat Pump Store to talk to a salesperson (Tim). I wasnt sold on heat pump/ductless systems just yet and Tim not only walked me through the workings and options, he also gave me a recommendation for another local heat/AC company to talk to in case I wanted to research a central air system instead. In the end, with 2 competing bids, heat pump vs. central air, I decided on The HP Store and a Daikin heat pump for my 2nd floor office and bedrooms.The installation was terrific - completed in one long day (8 am to 7 pm). I have nothing but praise for Nate and Travis and the rest of the installation team. -- Really -- Nate was incredibly patient in leading me through the operation of the wall units, listened to all of my questions, and gave me clear answers. Travis too. I confess I asked Travis a lot of the same questions I had asked Nate (and Tim), partly because he was so available, partly to confirm what I had heard previously and make sure I had things right.Because of the large amount of work involved (4 rooms, external unit, added wiring in basement), I had hours to eavesdrop on the work. Travis was a great team leader and teacher. Patient, laid out exactly what should be done and why, and when there was an opportunity for the rest of the team to make decisions, asked his assistants to come up with their best ideas. Travis was also the first guy here. 8 am, right on the dot. Lugged most of the heavy stuff into position himself, and then stayed after everyone else was gone to perform the final stages of installation (I had a completely working AC system the first night!). The apprentices were excellent too. Very considerate and well-mannered working inside and outside the house, and very attentive to cleanup afterwards.All in all, 2 gigantic thumbs up on the installation. Im really impressed by the ability of the The Heat Pump Store people to deliver the goods.

We had just purchased a condo on the Columbia River and had electric wall heaters... we were very cold and not looking forward to the upcoming winter. Our immediate impression was “we’re warm!!” We’re still smiling.

We purchased the Daikin Ductless System through Rhonda Durham. We got a great price and she is so knowledgable. She set up and was present during installation. She advised us on the most efficient model, where to place and walked us through operating instructions before she left the day of install.Her install team, including 2 capable installers and 1 great electrician, went above and beyond to meet our needs. They were fast and friendly....done in about 2 hrs.Rhonda did all the paperwork, perefficiency,mits, payment options, and scheduling of both the installation and the county inspection a couple days later.The inspector who issued final permit, said that everyone he has done inspections for, has raved about the Daikin system. He was here only a couple minutes, stating everything looked great.We are so happy with the ease, efficiency and look of our Daikin....wished wed done this sooner. Highly recommend both product and Rhonda....you wont be disappointed.
