Great spot to buy American! I love that they have so many made in US products. In general, Grainger is very high quality. Just wish they would stop with the whole Mask Mandate BS.

Thumbs up to the guy who helped me at Grainger Industrial Supply!My AC was not functioning on the hottest day in Portland history. After my diagnose, I suspect the capacitor in the AC compressor/fan needs to be replaced. Google told me Grainger Industrial Supply may have it.However, it is sold out (so many ACs in Portland were down from the week before so it is so hard to get the parts). Surprisingly, the guys did extra help by calling other electric parts retail store on my behalf. I went to the other store (literally the competitor of Grainger), bought the capacitor, and fixed my AC. It saved my familys life on that day (120F).

Extremely friendly store!I was looking for a voltage converter for a foreign appliance, and online searching led me here.They did not have the specifics needed unfortunately (they dont carry Step Downs/transformers for 100v, the Japanese voltage), but they were very welcoming and even helped me look up where to get it online.Wouldve loved to buy something here, definitely a store worth visiting!

Dont buy anything from here. Big company does not care about little customer. Their store is located so far out and their hours are ridiculous - 7:30a to 4p and closed weekends! If you are a little guy, they wont care about you, just the sale. I bought a 2 buckle to repair my camping equipment, turns out its too big. Went there on a Monday, a day they were supposed to be open... turns out they were closed due to COVID, but reopening the next day! Took the afternoon off to do that. So now, its past the 30-day return. Now Im stuck with 2 buckles that are of no use. Ill buy from somewhere else.

This was the first time I needed something so quickly I came to pick up my order and I made my purchase the night before! The staff was very welcoming and did an excellent filling my order so quickly they brought it to my vehicle the first minute they were open for business!

I walked to this Grainger store store, looking for a needle in a haystack.I was trying to find a compressed spring to fit a 23 year old car.Chrysler had discontinued the part I needed, and I thought Id give Grainger a shot.I walked into a busy showroom, and was greeted immediately by an associate named Ethan Young.I showed him the old part. He studiously, and patiently searched the catalog. After about 15 minutes, he found EXACTLY what I was looking for.This young man is a Customer Service Star!

Pretty frustrating to have placed an order in April for pumps, receive multiple emails that they were being delivered 5/22 (which is tomorrow) then get an email this morning saying the order was canceled. If the item and amount was not available a month ago, it should not have let us place the order and pay. We are in Portland as well, and producing hand sanitizer, these pumps were very important. At this point I could have ordered, and received from someone else if we had known you did not even have anything in stock.

Quick curbside service. A bit overpriced. They had what I needed though.

I was looking for rosin paste, I bought something which could have been rosin paste, but he couldnt identify it for certain because he didnt know how to perform a proper search for it online. He wouldnt allow me to search for it, nor would he accept my suggestions. I searched for it later on a computer (I didnt have any data on my phone) and found it was flux which is always acidic, where as rosin is only acidic when heated. I needed it to do some soldering. Too bad you know who is gone. They always had the good stuff (for electronics).

They only list their main number. They refuse to transfer to local store even though they offer store pick up. It really depends who you get on the phone. Once they take your order (got your money), follow up is very poor. The person who answers the phone has very little product knowledge, and some of them get very defensive. It is very frustrating to work with when their staff , and it is very inappropriate to be in a argumentative situation.

They charged me twice for a purchase then after going back into the store and being told I had to wait until after the weekend for it to refund it still did not refund. When I called to follow up the next week I was told that I had to wait up to 30 days. Each person I spoke to blamed something else and said there was nothing they could do and the last ‘manager’ I spoke to said it was my bank that had charged me twice not grainger so it was my problem. Which is completely untrue.This company doesn’t care about its customers. I try to shop local but everything they have is available from Amazon cheaper. I would never go back to this store after what has happened and the way they’ve dealt with it and in particular the way a manager spoke to me.They also sold me fasteners that didn’t fit a bracket when I purchased them as a pair and specifically told them to make sure they were right together (as it had been incorrect in the past). I know I’m not alone in my grainger dissatisfaction as while I was sitting in the store for 2 hours trying to have my problems fixed I had the absolute pleasure of hearing plenty of other unsatisfied customers each with their own unique grainger debacle.Don’t shop here. Stay home and squeeze lemon zest into your eyeballs it will be far more enjoyable and refreshing.
