Brought in a HVAC blower motor to have tested.Tom was great, tested it and found the logic controller that’s integrated in the motor was bad. I got the replacement, took it home and installed the same day.Great service, having parts local and same day can’t be replaced!

As anyone in Portland knows, we are experiencing record-breaking heat. What better time for our blower motor to fail for the first time ever? We were fortunate enough to get a service technician to diagnose it but they did not have the motor in stock and would not be able to get one for days. DJ at Conrey patiently worked with me over the phone to identify the part description and confirm they had a comparable motor in stock. Just as I arrived at the counter to pick it up, my wife called fo inform me the service company refused to install a non-OEM part. DJ overheard the conversation and then told me, if I could remove the blower assembly and return, they could help me install the motor. Mission accomplished! My AC was not functioning on the hottest day in Portland history (June 28th 2021). After my diagnose, I suspect the capacitor in the AC compressor/fan needs to be replaced.However, so many ACs in Portland were down from the week before so it is so hard to get the parts. Luckily I found Conrey Electric and went there, bought the capacitor, and fixed my AC. It saved my familys life on that day (120F).Conrey Electrics inventory is so complete to have most parts available even when other stores were sold out.

One of my few reviews is about an electric motor store? Yes! An electric motor that runs the blower that heats the entire business failed on Monday. Heating company said they would arrive Thursday to diagnose, then order motor if that is what is wrong, then come back. I made one call, person on phone helped me pick out the correct replacement. When I picked up, he even reviewed the photo of setup and verify my installation plan was correct. -- This is after I spent over 2 hours online, the night before, trying to do what he helped me do in 5 minutes. Blower working and saved me $1,500 repair call.

Top service!! I had a fan motor on my warehouse heating unit malfunction. I took it off the unit and took us into Conrey and the pulled the fan and swapped all the parts onto a new motor in under 30min at minimal cost. These guys rock! On a 116 degree day the Run Capacitor on our AC compressor failed. They answered the phone a bit after closing and looked for the part. They didnt have the exact one I needed, but found a substitute, took payment over the phone and hid it outside for me to pick up!!!

I contacted Convey Electric after my ancient bathroom fan motor went out and was cheerfully informed that they could find a replacement for the motor. I was delighted as I did not want to have to refit the ceiling to accommodate a new device.When I arrived I was cheerfully greeted by Jay Garret who took my old motor over to the work bench, removed the brackets and attachment shaft, took them into backroom, cleaned up the old parts and matched and attached them to the correct replacement motor and returned all to me within fifteen minutes. All in a friendly, professional and efficient manner! We also took a minute to discuss the various qualities of some of our favorite craft breweries! I highly recommend Conrey Electric!

First class customer service exists here! Not only did they have a replacement motor for a circa 1960 exhaust fan in stock, but they grabbed my old assembly, removed the brackets and assembled them onto the new unit. Plus they included a new fan blade. All of this while I waited for a grand total of about 5 minutes. These guys are pros.

After several failed attempts to locate a replacement blower motor for my 43 year old furnace, I went to Conrey and they said no problem, this is easy. They carry a wide selection of motors and fan accessories. They are one of the few places that carry round filter screens for kitchen exhaust. I have checked the two big box stores and a couple of other stores and none of them carry round filter screens.The time before when my wife and I went to get a replacement motor for the kitchen exhaust fan, I watched one of the guys behind the counter switch out a motor that was mounted for another customer.

After a shady hvac repairman said Id need to replace my furnace for about $3,000, I decided to try and fix it myself. Conrey electric took the time to help me find the part I needed and even give me a couple tips for installing it for only $7. Now my furnace is running smoothly again. Thanks for putting honesty over a quick buck, Ill be back when I need a real repairman.

My motor for the fan went out on my furnace. Come to find out the motor for my furnace wasn’t built any more and I couldn’t find the same motor anywhere! Took my motor to Corney Electric hoping they could help and help they did! They found another motor with the same specs. Since the motor wasn’t designed for a furnace they got me a ring they put on the new motor for me to bolt the motor to the original mounting holes on my furnace. Plus the took the old wiring off my old motor and splice the wiring with existing plug from the old motor to the new motor so the new motor was literally a plug and play installation. Corney Electric went above and beyond getting my furnace up and running again like new! Friendly and very helpful staff. When I have motor issues Corney Electric the only place I go! They’ve never failed me yet!

I was looking at a major repair on the electric motor for my parts washer, the company was telling me $2600 for a new motor. Shop Equipment referred me Conrey to look at it and I am so happy they did. Conrey was able to repair our existing electric motor for $275. They were fast, I was expecting a week it took 4 days which is major since I use it daily in my automotive repair business, and the motor works better then it has in YEARS. The customer service was exceptional, they explained the process thoroughly. I will be using Conrey for all my electric needs.

I was only in there for less than five minutes, but I was super impressed with the customer service! Super kind and helpful in getting me a bathroom fan motor replacement.

SCAM ALERT: These guys are super sketchy. I was repairing my AC unit and bought a fan motor from them. I gave them all the information they requested to find the part for me and bought the motor and the fan that they said would be correct. It was the wrong motor. I installed it correctly and it did not even start up because it was the wrong motor for my AC Unit. I called for help and the guy I was speaking to on the phone had a tone the whole call like he was annoyed he had to talk to me. Was not friendly or helpful at all. I took the part out brought it back to return it and they told me they could not take the return for the expensive wrong motor they sold me because it had been installed. Then I asked to speak to the manager and Tom Anderson came out and told me once gain he could not accept the return because it was not in the same condition as when they sold it to me (it was). Finally he agreed to take it back but said he was charging me a 20% restocking fee because that was their policy. So they sold me the wrong part I installed it and it did not even run then I returned it and was charged a restocking fee. These guys were trying to rip me off and every person at this company treated me like I was stupid. I have never had such poor service and been treated so badly so I am writing this review to help others who read this so you do not shop here and get treated poorly and ripped off like I did.

Saved us a HUGE amount of $$$. Our AC had gone out and my husband removed the blower from our unit and we took it to Conrey to see if it was bad. Wonderful service! Very knowledgeable about what they service and sell. Had a blower motor go out for a customer, took it in, matched the motor specs, had a cap to go with it, he even offered to help me get the old motor off the housing. Very good service and great prices. Highly recommend them.

These guys are top notch. I took in an old bathroom vent fan/motor/bracket that he said was out of production. But in 20 minutes I saw a brand new motor and fan installed on my old bracket that he rebuilt for me. Perfect fit, perfect price, and perfect courtesy/attitude/smile. 5 star establishment, saved our butts from freezing this winter. Took them my furnace motor assembly and they fixed it, repaired it and all I had to do was slide it into place and plug it in. Highly recommend.

I found them online and took my questions and motor there. They were quick and courteous and very helpful. I had my motor tested by an electrician before I removed it and took it in to make sure it was the issue. They looked at it and found the motor to be fine and it just needed an $8 pulley replaced instead. It was frozen on and they removed the old one and put the new one on and had me back on the road in about half an hour. I recommend them and will use them again in the future. I emailed Tom the owner about some refrigerator fans I had. He had an idea of what the problem was and asked me to bring them in. I brought them in when I was in Portland and indeed he had parts to assemble two new units on the spot. I left out the door with two new assembled units. Reasonable prices since they are one of few who specialize in this industry. Thanks for the help.

My kitchen fan started to make a grinding noise. I brought the fan motor into the shop and i was in and out in 5 minutes with a shiny new motor. It was much cheaper and easier than replacing the whole hood like the guy at home depo wanted me to do. The man at Conrey Electric was very polite and helpful, he said if i have any trouble to let him know and he would make it right. This is a terrific place to get your electric motors, our furnace motor stopped working and of course when I went to get another motor I learned the original motor wasn’t made any more! I took it to conrey Electric and they tried looking up my motor and couldn’t find it either! But they found another motor with the same specs. Only wasn’t set up to be used in a furnace. So they got a ring that went around the motor that would attach to my same furnace connection points and they took part of the wiring and plug off my old motor and spliced my wires to the new motor for me so it was literally a plug and play installation and didn’t charge me for any of their time making this motor work for my furnace. They really went up and beyond doing their absolute best to serve me and make sure I left with a new motor that I’d be able to easily reinstall in my furnace! If you need any electric motor service, I highly recommend Conrey Electric. I’ve used them a few times in the past as well and they have never let me down finding a way to get whatever I need for any situation for motors!

Im a HVAC tech and if you need a motor this is the place to go. After over 30 years working in one of the biggest industry of motors and dealing with these guys I totally dont understand how they have nothing but a five star rating. If you need a motor there is simply no other place better to go!

Helpful and friendly staff, willing to offer advice, a great place for electric motor parts - and Im sure repair if your motor is expensive enough to repair vs replace (140/hr shop rate). Went in to see if they could fix the motor of my pellet stove blower. Side note they dont make this motor any more. They where able to tell me it was the bearings and fixed it on the spot. Took about 15 min. This place saved me over $500. Thank you very much. If you motor on your pellet stove blower goes out. Take it to this place before you go out and spend more money then you might need to.

Freezing rain and the girlfriends furnace decides to give up the ghost, vintage 60s unit. Thought no way I was going to find parts, called them on a Saturday, THEY HAD IT IN STOCK. Well at least a upgraded replacement unit. Short travel to downtown area, short wait at the counter while he finished another customer. And wala, New motor bracket and even wire nuts. Couldnt ask for much more. And it wasnt much more than online retailers. Support you local businesses.

I had a 25 year old, original equipment small (1/8 hp)motor from an electric furnace with bad bearings. I was unable to locate a direct replace the online.I contacted Conrey by phone, emailed pictures and was assured they could do the repair while I waited on a drop in basis. I brought the housing, fan and motor all together and was met by a very pleasant counter tech.He knew immediately what the repair should be, went in the back, brought me an adapted 1/4 horse unit with the wiring completed and test run. I barely had time to look at the 1913 Fire Station next door.The final bill was $30 less than the estimate on the phone.Very pleased, will continue to do business with Conrey and will refer my friends.

Seems like a locally owned electrical supply house. They can source just about any electric motor and have a mind blowing stock of parts when it comes to repairing HVAC systems. I have used these guys for 15 years and will continue to support their local business. But, their customer service is IMO unprofessional and obstinate. There is no reason to be arrogant and condescending when someone is asking for help - communication is your job if you answer the phone, or provide any customer interface for your company. When dealing with them prepare for some major f*!#ing attitude. Its as if they hate their job and are taking it out on the (key word here) customer. They could be in a customer service training video as the example how not to conduct yourself.
