I just had a baseline dyno test done on my Acura. Luckily I was able to get in pretty quick, only a few days needed to get a slot! Staff is really friendly overe here for sure and by the other stuff they have going on they are clearly qualified! Will be back again for tuning after some mods are done.

I sent them an email asking about a possible tuning solution for my vehicle. I know my car isnt a car that people normally tune and I wasnt expecting there to be a good option but thats why I reached out. This is the email I received:Hey Lucas, This is not something i can take on right now. There is not a known tuning solution for this car so I dont know why you are asking us.You can try to reach back in our off season as this may be something we can look at then.Very unprofessional.

I took my 2006 Tacoma into a local dealership recently. The dealership recommended work totaling over $4000. The main work was an oil leak on the timing cover. The truck had a handful of other things needed, including the steering rack being replaced (having almost 200k miles on the OEM piece).I decided to take it into VIP as a second opinion option.Not only did Zack and Jorge fix the issues, they pointed out that some of the work recommended by the dealership was unnecessary and even found an issue with the valve cover gaskets that the dealership missed. Their time on the job was as promised and pricing was well below the dealership’s sky high parts & labor costs at a bit over $2500.The quality of the shop’s work seems evident. My truck is fixed as well, if not better than the dealership would do.Their front office person, Nicole, kept me up to date and informed over the two days that they had my truck. She even handed me a thank you note for my business aside from the invoice itself. It’s good to have a bit of personalized service these days.Thanks to the entire crew for keeping my favorite vehicle up and running! I’ll be bringing my business here in the future.

Staff were friendly and very professional. Came in needing a brake job done on a Japanese imported car. Unfortunately they werent able to find any parts for it, to no fault of theirs, and didnt even charge me an inspection fee. Fantastic customer service from Nicole and the staff. Will definitely be coming back to get work done from them under different circumstances!

Im very glad I chose to bring my engine to the great people of VIP performance. They did an excellent job assembling my performance engine, installing and tuning it. I brought them a bit of a mess, because my block was not properly assembled by someone else (bearing clearances were way off) which luckily they caught, and were able to save the block, which needed machine work in order for the clearances to work, and put it together the correct way (actually checking the clearances). They were very good at keeping me in the loop for everything that was going on with it. They did a lot of work on my setup and Im very happy and satisfied with the results. I cant thank them enough for all their hard work. I highly recommend them for everything from an oil change, up to a high performance build for any car. You wont be disappointed with their work!

Unreal. I took my SUV in to have it evaluated for a longer road trip I was soon taking. It had a loud grating sound that I couldnt identify plus the engine light was on. The guy said he drove it around on the freeway and didnt hear anything and nothing was unsafe about it; just a loud transmission. I was so happy I didnt care that he charged me $100 to tell me that and I bought a new battery from them since it needed one. The window was off its tracks so I asked if they could fix that while it was there. When I went to pick it up they had only partially repaired the window and just left it like that. And because some things got stuck in the door panel and it took longer they jacked up all the labor charge on that so I had a half fixed window and double charges. Then when I drove it, it was still making the squeal in the vicinity of the front tires and the loud grinding sound at intervals of certain speeds. I called back as well as walked back in asking what that was. The guy at the front kept insisting it was just a loud transmission and all Mercury Mountaineers tend to get this. I have dated a race car driver and I know that each small vibration can be sensed with the foot on the gas pedal throughout the vehicle and a good driver will notice these subtle sounds and vibrations and I knew this guy was either lying or lazy or both. Sure enough it continued to become even louder and worse until it was so loud like a grating metal against metal and I took it into Sunset Tire off Murray Blvd exit on 26 west. They got the car running the best its ever been and did it quickly and without any excuses. They keep the costs down as low as they can. VIP should never have charged me the way they did for half finished projects and without caring to help me get my car in top condition. I felt like they needed their mother to scold them to get off the couch.

I had a terrific experience with VIP Performance. Went to them to have them install some performance parts on my 2015 Ford Mustang, a Blowfish Racing shifter bracket and a Mishimoto H-pipe. This was a bit of an unconventional request, and not your standard repair or parts installation.They did a perfect job, and took only an hour and a half to install both, much faster than I expected. They did a very clean installation, with no problems at all. The technician was very professional and friendly, and inspired confidence.The shop seems to have a reputation for mostly working on Japanese cars (which were most of the cars inside), but they certainly did a great job on my Ford Mustang with these two projects. I will definitely go back to them for any future work.

I trust any car that Zack has fixed, good guy w/ good skills. Trustworthy.

Nice people, good parts and service

This company is horrible, they don’t know anything about dynoing a Kia Optima Turbo Tuned E85. Telling me that Lap3 is the flaw on my car when matter of fact Lap3 Performance is way better than any tuner around here. If I were you I’d never ever go back here even after I was respectful an asked to be redyno or even get my refund back and the lady said no, and on top of it all she lost the thumb drive with my results on it. So this place is a very disorganized place.

Cut my cost in HALF from another local auto repair place. Amazing job, quick service and straightforward about everything. This place is a gem as are the people that work here. Found my new auto repair place for my 08 Honda CR-V!

VIP did a great job on my 96 Acura Integra!! Zach, Nicole and Jay have incredible customer service skills. Zach spent a lot of time on my tune to get it just right. They removed my old ecu that was chipped and tuned on Crome. I purchase a new Hondata s300 ecu and electronic boost controller from them. It took a few hours but he had to start from scratch with a new ecu building a good map. She runs amazing and I am thoroughly happy with my purchase! I would recommend VIP to anyone wanting a dyno tune or an engine build done! Thank you soo much Zach, Nicole and Jay!!

Very nice people at VIP. Patched a hole in my muffler delete section from a popped weld. As well as rewiring an aftermarket brake light that I wanted as a brakelight.Originally left a lesser review, due to having electrical issues after the work was done. I realize now that there was no way to tell what had caused the degradation of my rear wiring harnesses. VIP reached out to me after seeing my previous review and had a good chat with them. I am confident they would work with me to make me happy regardless of the root cause for my harnesses being bad. Sadly I already had a dealership install new harnesses.I would still reccomend VIP.Cheers

Good People at Vip, If you do work on your own car, let them know exactly what you have already checked or done, if not they will spend your $100+ dollars diagnosing things you already know. My experience was great but the outcome is disappointing. Thanks for the help Ryan, youre and awesome knowledgeable guy. Just wish I didnt have to pay $100 for info I already knew. I dropped off the car telling him about my misfire issues and let him know what I had already done, the only thing I didnt check out were my Injectors. He gave me a call when he said he would and let me know all the things that I diagnosed. He checked my compression, which I forgot to mention I did, and let me know the codes I had, which I knew as well. He confirmed that it wasnt my injectors so thats really helpful. I dont have enough money to have them service any further otherwise I would have let him do more.

I had recently taken my 350z to VIP for a valve adjustment. A particularly long job that many shops are reluctant to take. Their quote was very close to the standard hours to complete the job. (most shops said it would take much longer to complete) So it was easily the best deal in town. They had completed this tedious job in a reasonable time and did a Damn good job. They were very honest and even notified me of my excessively worn plugs and replaced them for free. If you have an issue with your car. Get a quote from vip!~Zack

Took my RSX Type S in to have the transmission rebuilt, in total I spent almost $1800 since my car also had all motor mounts broken and they replaced them, as well as a 3/4 shift fork.. In the aspect of that work, everything went great and smooth. But then I was told that the car would not start after work was completed. And they also informed me at that point that my car sounded funny when they received the car before work was done. Why they didnt inform me beforehand? My guess is as good as yours. The car started and ran fine before I put it on the tow truck.So, I authorized them to diagnose the issue, and I didnt have a problem paying for that. They called me back and told me the timing skipped and the compression numbers were low, which means the valves could be bent, and then said the only way to fix it would be to rebuild the whole engine or swap it for something else. I told them that I wouldnt be able to afford that since this transmission job was already drying out my pockets and that I would just pick up the car.Well, when I picked up the car I noticed they didnt even care to hook the spark plugs and wires back up, and left misc. nuts, bolts, and my oil dipstick on the front passenger seat. Also left behind my old bearings and synchros in a box on the seat. I guess when I declined the motor work, they just said f*ck it and left everything else the way it was. A couple of my friends were pretty surprised that VIP would of left it like that since they referred me there and we all have heard nothing but greatness from that shop, but I guess it just depends on whether your car is cool enough lol.At least they didnt charge me for the diagnosis! LOL

Went there for an alignment with a lowered car, and it was no problem. Other shops I called couldnt deal with lowered cars, but this shop said it has aligned even lower cars. They also fixed a few minor things free of charge. I definitely plan to go back whenever I need something else.

VIP is the best!

I took my Toyota T100 in to diagnose a #4 cylinder mis-fire and after two weeks and $771 of trouble shooting, they concluded that it had an internal issue with the cylinder and needed an engine replacement. I went to Ken Van Damme’s for a second opinion and they found the issue to be a faulty spark plug wire. It took them less than a day.I’ve trusted this place for several years now and believe they are good people, but no longer feel that I can rely on them for basic, automotive needs.

With the new owner Zack, I really appreciate the time he spends listening to me on how I want my car to be built. He completely rebuilt my transmission with custom gearing, made some changes to my supercharged charge pipe, retuned the car from 365 whp to 373 whp on a 2 1/2 custom exhaust... still quiet as heck. More performance goals are in the works as I type this out.Yes! he is young, Yes! he is always learning.... we all have to, to stay competitive! He is competing against bigger and more established businesses!!! I like the smaller shops! They have a lot too lose if we dont support them. Give Zack at Vip Performance a call.

Wonderful service. I was treated badly @another performance shop before I first came to VIP. Zach made it all better. He went over my whole engine top to bottom, noted the issues and corected them. Then he tuned my B16 on crome @ a respectable 250hp 176ft tq stil running 30 mpg!!!! @ every turn, Zach has been honest, respectful, and helpful. He has gone out of his way to make me feel like im a VIP and now we are about to tune my civic again, targeting 500hp this time around. Once again Zach has made me feel like my build is as important to him as it is for me!!! I would recommend VIP to anyone!

Called everywhere in town to find out who does fender rolling & thats including craigslist. Everyone was either booked til next month & so on. These guys squeezed me in the same day around 1 pm. I give that one star for that. 2nd one is their customer service. 3rd is for replying back to me the same day. As far as for the service on getting my rear fenders rolled. Wasnt too happy with the outcome of it. Was a pretty shady job. If Im paying for $100 & just for the rears then at least roll them equally the same instead of leaving it half ass that looked like someone used a blow dryer & just beat it with a small kids bat. Im pretty sure when it comes to dyno and modding out your engine they know what their doing but come on i mean fender rolling? Oh well only cost me a bill to find out...

I Have a custom baja bug with a WRX 2.0 turbo engine and an after market LINK ECU. It was running rich and after spending days troubleshooting I reached that point where I needed some help. I called Ryan who gave me a run down of services. We spent some time discussing the history of the car and the problem I was having. Its always a tough call going to someone you know only through recommendations but after our walk through of the car I felt confident Ryan would either be able to get me up and running or point out a bigger problem such as the ECU being fried. As it turned out he jumped on the car later that day and was able to find a loose connection; a much cheaper solution than a burned out ECU. I am now up and running! So by my account he was honest, he didnt sell me something I didnt need, gave me a rundown of all that he did to test my engine, and gave me some technical pointers as well. I am very pleased with the service at VIP Performance and would highly recommend them. I know if I get to the point where I need more technical advice/service I will be headed to their shop!
