Ordered a pair of ballet slippers via the web due to Covid. Was unsure of the sizing so sent them a question. They responded very quickly and helped me decide on what pair and size. Unfortunately, due to my error, the shoes were just a little too tight. Emailed again and they were right back with an answer. Returned the shoes and received the new pair within a few days. They were courteous and provided great customer service. Very satisfied with the experience I had dealing with them. I highly recommend The Leotard!!

As an adult absolute beginner to dance, I was pretty clueless what ballet shoes to buy other than the first pair I bought elsewhere were causing me pain. The woman who helped me find shoes very patiently let me try on many pairs, helped size me and tracked down another color from a still packed shipment. They are very kind and knowledgeable here!

Im so happy we found this store. My daughter had bad pointe shoe fittings at two other stores previously but The Leotard was able to help her find the right shoe and the right size. We live out of state but still buy from The Leotard and have them shipped to us. Im so glad to finally have found a dance store with knowledgeable staff and excellent customer service.

Recently visited the leotard for the first time for a pointe shoe fitting for shoes that aren’t available to me where I live several hours away. I was just so blown away by what a wonderful experience I had, that the least I can do is leave a review. A lovely lady named Jessica helped me to try on many different shoes in many different widths, sizes and vamps. She really took the time to listen to my description of how the shoe fit and sincerely cared that I leave the store with my dream shoe. I am a tall man with large feet and out of the five times Ive purched dance shoes from here theyve only had to order a pair once.

This is a great shop for dancewear in Portland. The staff is helpful and patient, which I really appreciate when buying dance shoes. Im a novice dancer, and buying shoes for it is pretty new for me. Getting the proper fit is really important, and their expertise in fit helped me through the experience.The shop is right next to a bus stop for the line 6, which makes it really convenient if youre taking transit. And they offer discounts on shoes and tights for dance students.Great spot. Ill definitely be back next time I need supplies.

Theres a great selection here not only for the dancer for the yoga person or for the gymnast or is there for somebody that just loves to dress in style. They have wonderful flexion here of exercise clothes leotards and they have a nice selection of things really not related. You have to check the store out its very clean the staff is wonderful and it just has some neat things in it. The prices are excellent Ive paid more money for less quality items at other places for sure. Everything seems to be made of quality material and and you know you get what you pay for.

Great staff, been buying Pointe shoes here for years. They helped get sizing perfect. Now I just call and they mail the shoes out quickly. Stop here first before you order online, sale prices are good!

The person helping us at this store was very awkward and didnt know the stock well, but the selection of shoes was excellent and we walked out of there with a pair we really loved.

I live in Vancouver, WA but I didnt have time to go shopping so I was shopping for tap and ballet shoes, tights, and a leotard online. I found awesome prices on The Leotards website- better than most other websites I found for discount (and not discount) dance supplies. I ended up getting all of the items in the mail two days later with free shipping! I tried everything on my daughter and its all great quality and fits as described. I have previously been into the store for my own ballet shoes, tights and leotards and everyone was extremely helpful (even despite me being clearly a dancer for exercise only- I was pregnant and overweight but no one was rude). I will definitely purchase my future dance supplies from The Leotard.

We have been purchasing dance wear and tights here for years, but today was a big day for us -- my daughters first pair of pointe shoes. The staff was incredibly attentive and patient. We tried on shoe after show to make sure we had the perfect pair. The prices are competitive and we left knowing we got not only the right pair of shoes for my daughter, but a good deal, too. They have a huge selection of all things dance and their staff is kind and knowledgeable. It was a great experience.

I have shopped at The Leotard for over 10 years and I wouldnt shop anywhere else for my ballet clothes! The staff are always friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable (especially for shoe fittings)! The store is usually well stocked with different sizes and styles, but if they are out of a particular style or size, they are always willing to order it for you! Great, well established company. They find me for my first pair of point shoes years and years ago at their old location. Now Im in there every six months getting my growing girl sized and fitted for her flats for class. And we never walk out with an extra pair of cute leg warmers from the sale section.

The gal who helped me choose a shoe was great. She was very encouraging and spotted that I needed a size smaller because the leather would stretch. She was also helpful in picking out a new pair of spanks! I love these guys!

She has changed shoe brands and sizes, and the staff have been very helpful and knowledgable for shoe fittings, trying many pairs until she finds the best fit. Ive been coming here for dance clothes and shoes for 8 years and have always been happy with the people working there. However the parking is fairly small so if you have a larger vehicle you may have to park down the steeet

The sales person accidentally charged me for two pair of pointe shoes, thats an understandable mistake. But when someone makes a mistake and takes money out of my account, I shouldnt have to wait 3-4 days for it to go back in.

Service is great, found the shoes I was looking for at a good price. Browsed around for other things but I thought everything else was a little over priced, at least for our budget. An 11 year old doesnt need a $35 leotard, found it at target for $12.

The leotard has everything I need for teaching and dancing ballet. They also have everything I want my students to wear for my classes. The staff is always friendly and helpful and if they dont have the item I need they order it promptly.

I was visiting the area and found a dance to go to, but I had not brought any ballroom dance shoes, got on line found Leotards Dancewear walked in 10 minutes to closing the salesperson was very kind and helpful even though they were doing closing things, I walked out with a pair of dance shoes. They are very well stocked in all sizes. I was very pleased with the shoes and the service.

Was referred here by my dance school for my first adult class. I had doubts that I would find adult plus sizes. Not only did I find XL (and 2xl) leotards I found them in several colors and cut options. Also found bottoms that fit and up to 3x size tights. Very helpful staff and they took their time fitting me for shoes and showing me different options. I am very pleased with this store. Plus they had parking!

The counter staff was so helpful when buying shoes for a Zumba Fitness class. When paying for them, the person helping me asked if I was an instructor. When I said yes she offered the stores discount to dance instructors. Made me all the more happy that I had dropped in on a whim to see what they had. I will go back!
