I have been to several classes here and always walk away with a wealth of knowledge. The classes are fun and you legit walk away with an amazing product and tools for your next project (tools and/or instructions). Ive done candles, large knit, embroidery, and screen printing.

Did an art resin class here. It was fun and they did a good job of balancing sharing a lot of info and the time to actually do the craft. Im looking forward to more classes!

If youre at all interested in crafting, check out Assembly PDX and their informative classes. Ive taken both in-person (prior to COVID-19) and online classes and Ive enjoyed each and every one of them. Its a great value as you get to work directly with an experienced artisan to learn the best methods and all of the supplies for the projects are provided. Support this outstanding local business and learn something fun. Highly recommend Assembly!

I always have an itch to learn about new crafts/hobbies and Assembly PDX has been the perfect place for me to try new things! I attended a few classes in person pre-COVID and will be taking my third online class soon. All of them have been fun and interesting and have satisfied my artsy side! I’ve continued to pursue the crafts I’ve enjoyed the most and made more things long after the end of class (and have even been able to pass some off as gifts). Would definitely recommend Assembly!

I have taken two classes here so far and they have been so much fun. I took the Mounted Plant Class pre-pandemic and the the Kokedama String Garden Workshop during the pandemic. These classes involved making wall and hanging plants which I have been enjoying in my home. The instructors are great, you meet some cool people in the class and the environment is super fun.I love crafting so I appreciate someone else providing all the supplies, instruction and clean up.I have learned a new craft in each class. If you love crafting their class package is a great deal. I must note I felt 100% safe taking a class during the pandemic. They did a great job spacing out the workstations.

New to the neighborhood and just took my first class at Assembly PDX- making a cigar box lamp. I have some childhood baggage involving electricity (don’t ask) so I was a little nervous about this class- but I shouldn’t have been. The instructor was super nice and clear and moved at a pace that made sure everyone did things correctly but not so slow that we got got bored. The class size was great and everyone was nice and welcoming. There were snacks and drinks and aprons available. Also, I have a cool lamp now which is awesome. Definitely recommend Assembly for trying out a new craft!
