This was a good vegan place with a ton of different options. It was also healthy and had some unique dishes. Very unique restaurant and loved the ambiance while you eat. Overall, great place for a vegan breakfast!

French press coffee, waffles with berry compote, and a division scramble. Had some delicious vegan sausage across the top of the scramble and some sourdough toast. Great smells. Tasted good. My wife had waffles and a latte. We left with a cookie, as well. Service was quick, even though we had a little hiccup with my son not wanting to sit in the restaurant initially. The staff was nice and one of them offered him a sticker, which calmed his anxiety a little. Good times. Would recommend if you are vegan and want a savory or a sweet breakfast. The French press coffee was fantastic. They also have lots of delicious baked goods at the counter. First time here, and I would totally come back.

I went to Nectar Cafe to see a local artists exhibition and was greeted by incredible smells at the door. I hadnt researched the cafe before I arrived (I wanted to see the art more than anything) and was pleasantly surprised by what was on offer. Nectar Cafe has an awesome juice menu, and lots of great looking pastries as well as a soup option. From what I could tell, they seemed to offer something for people of all dietary leanings. The staff were friendly and the service was efficient. The location is solid; its right near NE Broadway and Sandy and theres lots of parking nearby. Theres also some nice street art on the nearby walls. They have a really lovely space (including a pink disco ball and groovy tunes) that looks perfect for non-pandemic times when tables and chairs can be set up and people can hang out. While it seems like they have pivoted to accommodate for COVID restrictions/ precautions, Im certainly looking forward to warmer months when the pandemic is hopefully behind us and I can enjoy the weekend mimosas sans mask. I really appreciate that they support local artists, the show I saw was really nicely curated and presented in the space. I look forward to seeing who they host next!

You had me at vegan berry compote waffle 😍I came here with my friend for a final brunch before my flight back home. We had originally wanted to go to another brunch spot with some vegan pancakes but they required reservations and were all out until the afternoon. No dice. Undeterred, my friend pulled out her phone and found this gem!I got the berry compote waffle (was debating the Elvis waffle bc of the peanut butter but if you are a berry fanatic like me, you won’t regret the berry compote), and wow YUM. I think my friend got a half of the savory waffle and mushroom which was actually quite good too but mine was better :) I took away the other half of my order so I had something for lunch/dinner on the plane!My friend also got a smoothie but I can’t remember which one. I do remember that I got the wellness elixir shot, which I was apprehensive about but wanted to try because “it must be good for me!” It actually tasted pretty good to my surprise, and the apple was great afterwards to help with the spicy cayenne (thanks to the server for recommending it!) would also highly recommend that for a good wake up shot.Anyways, yum I’m actually happy the other brunch place was all reserved up so I could experience this delicious berry waffle and also feel better about myself with a good ole healthy shot. I liked the kind and efficient staff. A man who seemed to be houseless? or at least was suffering from some emotional turmoil was given free food and the gal waiting on him listened very well and was just all around nice. I am not a vegan, but did enjoy the food. The gluten free pastries are also good, though the peanut butter and choco chip muffin was a bit dry. But the berry bar is amazing.

Just n egg breakfast sandwich was great. The special sauce on it was tasty. Had the apple waffle and it tastes just like apple pie.

Fast, friendly service. Delicious food. Fun ambience with local art. Was craving a tofu scramble and the Portland Scramble really hit the spot. All of their fresh juices and smoothies are fantastic. Something on the menu for everyone!

One of the worst dining experiences Ive had in recent memory. Waited around 40 minutes for our food watching other people who had ordered after us receive theirs. We asked our server what was going on and they informed us they forgot to ring in the order but not to worry because it was being made on the fly. After what was probably another half hour and watching another table receive their food after our on the fly had been put in I told our server to just refund our money and keep the food to which they seemed very annoyed at. The only thing they did for us was give a free pastry for me and my partner to split while we waited. Do not recommend this place for anyone.

Possibly one of the best (if not the best!) vegan gems of the city. It should definitely be on the short list of any local or venturer, regardless if youre vegan or not.Also vegan (& gluten-free) Belgium waffles...just saying 😋

When I saw large hot cocoa on their menu I was skeptical bc most places say 12oz is large for hot cocoa. When I say the mug was the size of my face! And there was so much good foam.I may go back just for more of their troughs of cocoa lol.

I’m really surprised Nectar is at 4.6 stars. It’s truly my fav brunch place in Portland. I’ve been coming for about 5 years and everything is sooo good, especially their pastries and waffles!

Pretty good! They have a selection of gluten-free baked goods and they can make decaf. The people working there were really friendly too!Only complaint was the Breakfast Burrito was kinda bland. Ill definitely stop in and try some of their other dishes though.

Coffee is rlly good too!!I got the brussel sprout salad to go and veggies were fresh, seasoning on point, and service kind! and they are not cheap on the size. highly recommend to anyone with or without food allergies / diets. They label everything and everything is vegan but the taste is not compromised!!! 🌼🌸🌻🌿💕They also use compostable cups / takeout ware and are for the people, so highly recommend as well supporting a good place run by good people.

My favorite place in Oregon!!! Love the atmosphere of this small place, stuff is very friendly. Smoothies are well combined with all good ingredients, very tasty. Had their potato pancake, it’s the most awesome breakfast I had. And the Apple pancake was awesome too. Anyways, easily a 5 star place. Now every time I come to Portland I’ll visit this place!

Stopped in last week with a coworker and had the most amazing cup of coffee I have ever had. I work two blocks away and have now discovered my favorite stop for coffee! I have come in a few times since then. The barista was really friendly as well and it felt refreshing from previous experiences I’ve had here. I didn’t quite catch his name (overheard MAYBE Eric? Elrich? Derrick?). The food has been a hit or miss for me. I have probably had over half of their menu items by now and have found continuity with the wraps the most, but that also isn’t saying much. It gets really busy in the morning so I tend to avoid until around lunch time. Overall, I didn’t feel compelled to write a review until my coffee experience and I have now raved about this place ever since. I highly recommend going in on a day when that person is working, his coffee skills are out of this world.

Tried this place for first time and ended up stopping by multiple times during our trip.We ordered housemade chai, ,bf burrito,jalapeno waffle sandwhich and panini pressed sandwhich w spinach ,banana bread,pumpkin brownie.Loved the chai,desserts and panini pressed sandwhich and waffle sandwhich.The bf burrito portion size is huge but somewhat less flavorful compared to other VG burrito we have had somewhere else. I was amazed to see how creative they have been with every single VG menu item.Portland has amazing food options for vegans and vegetarians.

Horrible service. Ive been coming here for years and always enjoyed my experience. Just came in today and felt profiled by the lady at the front counter with the collarbone tattoo. Avalon who took my order over the phone was cool. But this person who cashed me out was rude, ignored my questions that I asked directly, and kept glancing down at my necklace with a certain type of look on her face (this necklace is relevant to my ethnicity.) Not going to drink the smoothie I ordered because now Im not sure if she spat in it based on this service. Will never come here again.

Really tasty vegan options! Now that we are beginning to venture into town a bit as Portland opens up, we will definitely return here to try things beyond the classic waffle and waffle-sausage sandwich, both very good.

A friendly Portland vegan staple! Food is always good, but I especially like the variety of beverages. I usually get a lavender chai, but the juices are also very refreshing. I also appreciate the kombucha and mimosas! The baked goods are delightful, my parents are always excited about the carrot cake when theyre in town. And of course I enjoy the plants, plants always get bonus points from me.

The food was really good and generously portioned. The vegan menu has several things I want to go back and try. My girlfriend and I were very happy with the food. The vegan sausage had some nice spices in it and waffle had crispy outside and soft inside. There was a service snafu but was very accommodating when rectifying the situation. I will be going back at some point in the not too distant future.

The potato waffles with the gravy was an interesting nice find. Their service was bad though, took a long time to get our food prepared and served. Even getting salt and pepper on requesting twice took them good several minutes.

I got the Portland scramble and it was pretty tasty but I paid like $2.50 extra for avocado and they forgot it. I get it, mistakes are made no big deal but this isnt the first time they got my order wrong.

Im always hesitant to order food from vegan places even though I follow the diet, vegan meats and dairy products dont sit well with me often, taste horrible or have a ton of sugar to cover taste. I ordered the just egg and chz sandwhich with spinach and was pleasantly surprised. Very tasty. Also ordered a chai, and a peanut butter smoothie. Both were also yummy. I will be ordering from here again in the future.

Great plant based offers in a warm, cozy space with sumshine and plants all around.We were sad to learn after eating here that there is dairy behind the counter (cream cheese and milk). Felt like we couldnt justify contributing to low-key animal suffering so will not return.

Ive only eaten here once. I had the huge almond sausage waffle sandwich with maple cream cheese and it was SO good. I couldnt even believe the cream cheese was vegan as store bought cream cheese taste like playdough too me. I will definitely be going back here again and again!!!

This is the first place we stopped at after landing in Portland and the vibes were so positive and the food was DELICIOUS! The staff were all adorable and I hope I can come again when I visit Portland! I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was bomb!

Vegan, Gluten-Free paradise! Service was quick, attentive, and upbeat. Food doesn’t ascribe to the stereotypical “bland, flavorless, rabbit-food cuisine” that most “Vegan” restaurants serve. Our two dishes were flavorful, complex, and consumed ENTIRELY! Not a lick left on the plate! One of the best vegan spots in the city IMO. Prices are especially reasonable for downtown (approx $12/plate). No wait time, and option to dine outside. WONDERFUL!

While the juice & smoothie was delicious, unfortunately I was not pleased with much else... We called in our order & waited the time they said it would take. Over 20 minutes after we ordered by phone my partner went inside to pick up the order & waited over 30 more minutes inside. Other customers were getting free drinks because of the extensive wait when my partner had waited even longer. Nothing was offered as compensation to us. By the time we got the food & drinks, my smoothie was like juice. The avocado I paid extra for was brown & not edible.

I came here and ordered their waffles. Holy hell and geyser was it delicious. I really like their mushroom waffles (add maple syrup). The umami contrasted with the sweetness of the syrup is like having little mini flavor leprechauns dancing around your taste buds.Their a small store front and the inside can get a little warm but their outside seating is very nice. The prices are a little steeper than other vegan restaurants Ive been to, but no too bad. Id definitely recommend checking this place out if youre in the area or feeling the need for waffles.

The staff is so nice and they’re pretty fast. I got their “Not pulled pork sandwich” and it was as messy as it was good. So if that’s something that’ll bother you, just grab some extra napkins. I drank their Zesty juice, which I also enjoyed, but be warned, the ginger is strong in this one. I also liked that they made it when I ordered it, rather than just having it sitting in a fridge. My friend got their Hollywood scrambled which I tried and also thought tasted really good. We unfortunately didn’t try their waffles, but one of the other customers told us those were the best so trying those next. It’s a cute small place with a few tables outside as well.

No pastries in the large case seen in photos aside from a one muffin and two berry bars. It is below 70 outside but they have the door open making it cold. Server wasnt very friendly. Maybe I came in on an off day but didnt get a very good impression. I changed my order to go while waiting because I just didnt feel comfortable. Would one star but appreciate that vegan coffee shops exist so giving two.

Ive ordered food from here a few times through postmates. While the food has always been good my orders have been off every time. Small things that I excused because I to understand that mistakes happen. Today though being the 3rd time with a mistake I asked my postmate to go back and called the cafe to set my order straight. The woman who answered was genuinely kind and understanding explaining how the mistake could have happened. I was a bit hangry and might have sounded a bit terse. She was cool, calm and made sure the order was fixed. Great selection of options of food. You cant go wrong with anything!

I LOVE this restaurant! The food, staff, and atmosphere are all wonderful! Plus, they take COVID-19 safety seriously. Nectar Cafe is one of a VERY short list of restaurants I feel safe going to. I highly recommend Nectar Cafe!

This is the second year in a row we have hired Nectar Cafe to come out with a coffee truck for our elementary school staff appreciation. They are amazing. They are fast, friendly, AND they have the most fun options. If you have an event, want to appreciate your staff, etc I HIGHLY recommend going with Nectar. You will not be disappointed. We look forward to having them again next year.

This is our favorite place to eat in all of Portland. Our favorites are the breakfast burrito and the potato waffle. They are to die for. Also, amazing and friendly staff. They also have a ton of pastries and drink options.

Wonderful service! They follow social distancing and enforcing masks extremely well!! A customer decided to make a scene because they asked politely for him to wear a mask and they handled the situation super professionally!! The workers here and what they serve are above and beyond!!

Nectar Cafe is an awesome vegan place to eat and drink (try their Carlton drink--its phenomenal!)I have a weekly group there; the cafe is not quite big enough for large groups but mine is small and they do have a large table in back to seat at least 5 people.They have the most delicious desserts! Give them a try--you wont be disappointed.

Really fast service; I had the Portland breakfast scramble and it came out quickly. It was also delicious, filling, and well with the money and the drive out to the location. Clean outdoor seating, friendly and accommodating waitstaff.

Very disappointed in the no wearing of gloves or masks when I picked up my food yesterday. cold and dry.... Plus the hand off lady wasn’t nice at all.
