Very down-to-earth, helpful, open minded, and accepting people. I have been working on discovering natural treatments for my severe bipolar/borderline skitzophrenic symptoms. These guys were knowledgeable in various natural medicines other than marijuana. Im not looking to simply get high, but to enrich my quality of life. These guys opened me up to healthy alternative avenues.

Went to this bookstore while on vacation a while back. My wife was greeted with a smile. I came in a few minutes after and got the stink eye. I heard recently that this store is closing, dont know if thats true or not, but they blame white men for their failure. Blame Amazon they are killing small businesses all over the country. If you are vacationing in the coastal west stay out of the big cities. The country sides are beautiful, but the cities are trash.

Part of my impromptu Portlandia tour for my family, unfortunately it was closed! Next door was a really cool antique shop and after headed to Powells to find the secret hiding spot!

I really like this store for all the hard to find titles they had. The staff was really friendly and wanted to share info about all kinds of books they had in stock. You could easily spend an afternoon in there checking out all the books they had.

The only bookstore that can compete with Powells for my money. They have yoga and a cafe now and lots of other community events. Great place to browse or buy presents.

Its hilarious that these people that ran this place turned out to be exactly like the way they were portrayed in Portlandia. SO FUNNY that this dump closed. Too bad, i would have loved to travel there JUST to see the nasty people that ran it (shocker im a cisgender gay white male)

Shout out to the nice girl who was so patient with me when I was looking for lesbian detective fiction. This is a great community resource and I wished I lived closer so that I could participate more.

Unique in everyway, this bookstore is a gem and not just because of Portlandia. I sat in on an open discussion which expanded my views.

Woman at the register was surprisingly judgemental and extremely unhelpful when asked about books. Expected more from this place, very disappointed.
