Hidden neighborhood gem! The Place is friendly, cozy, and offers a great selection of cider, beer, and wine. Theres a ton of beautiful plants and comfy chairs up front that make for a super inviting spot to have a drink and read a book. Feeling more social? Pull up a chair at the bar and chat with the bartender and co-owner David. There is also a patio area out front with covered seating if you want to enjoy your drink with some fresh air.

Did a good job of accommadating a large crowd in a small venue with outside seating.

Overall, this is a nice place to go to have a few ciders with your friends. I could even see coming several night and becoming good friends with the bartender. This isnt a place you come to party but a place you come to socialize with the people around you. I think their prices are fair and habe a large selection of cider.I would go back or recommend!

A beautiful, cozy space tucked away in SE portland with a great selection of cider, small batch brews, and wine. Highly recommended for vintage collectors, plant enthusiasts, and artists.

What a pleasant surprise. Was walking around and came across this garage door open with a bunch of plants, had to check it out. Sat with David one of the two brothers who recently opened the cider bar and had a blast. Great cider selection a few beers and wine. Will be back, this place is awesome!!

4.5 stars! The Place is a nice hole-in-the-wall tap room. Limited seating, limited taps, as well as knowledgeable staff and a good sized selection of both cider and beer. Pleasant atmosphere. The only negative (as well as additional positive) is that the stairs leading to the (single stall) bathrooms has no hand rail. Be careful when going to void your bladder!

Definitely a hidden gem of Portland! I ended up here over the summer when I was searching for Basque cider, which is not easy to find in the area. I ended up at The Place PDX, which at the time carried 3 different imported Basque ciders (the Isastegi is great btw, and I hope they restock it in the future!). Great prices. The online ordering process was super fast & went smoothly. Overall, super cute spot with a great selection of hard-to-find ciders. If you have something in particular you’re looking for, or just want to try something new that you won’t find anywhere else, check them out! I definitely will be back!

I come here, at least, weekly. Its always a very welcoming space to hang with friends, do work, homework, whatever it is. The owners and staff are very friendly and carry the best cider in town. I highly recommend hanging out here. Beer and wine options are stellar as well! All in all, my favorite neighborhood spot. Has a patio if its a nice day to hang outside. I also come in for the bottle shop goods - great selection of beer, cider, and wine. Some acquired advice, give the Peckhams cider a shot. Its unbelievably good.

Very cozy. A nice escape. Perfect place to grab a drink with the girls. While I wish we had been given mkre.of an explanation of the drinks on the menu (there was no description, just a lot of names), we picked the safe option (Marionberry cider) and both really enjoyed it.

Very friendly manager, great selection and they host cool events. I just went most recently on the fourth of July and they were grilling dogs and corn. Like a home away from home

I love this little neighborhood bar you feel like youre at a friends house rather than a bar. The staff is so friendly!

They have a great selection of ciders in their fridges and I was recommended a french cider which turned out to have an amazing, pure unfiltered apple flavor. I also got a lavender lemonade beer for my friend which was a big hit. I look forward to coming back when I have more time and sitting at the bar for a few hours.

Great spot to have a drink in a light bright space. Quaint with lots of options for anyone... Highly recommend!

Felt like a cosy living room warmed up with hanging plants and my grandparents furniture-- just loved that atmosphere. Any cider lover like me has the duty to check that place out: the selection of ciders on tap is pleasantly diverse (the cranberry is objectively the best, in my very unbiased opinion), and there are way more in the fridges that I havent had a chance to try yet. I did see some Chouffe in the fridge for those who cant betray beer and appreciate Belgian quality. That place will definitely see me back soon.

The Place is amongst a small number of venues in Oregon who list Aaron Burr Locational Ciders from Wurtsboro, NY. It is testiment to the commitment of the owners to seek out and offer some of the most compelling ciders on the planet.

This is my favorite spot in Portland to try new ciders both local and hard to find imports. They also have a great selection of wine and beer.
