I ordered a centerpiece for my aunt and uncle to wish them a merry Christmas. The clerk I spoke to to place the order asked me some basic questions.(Clerk: Would you like candles? Me: Uh, I guess? What do most people do? Him: Would you like roses? Me: Sure? Youre the professional, could you just make it pretty?). Clearly, I was unprepared! I gave them an amount for how much I wanted to spend, they informed me of the delivery rate, I affirmed I understood and I told them when Id like for it to be delivered. What I didnt share is that my aunt worked as a florist for a number of years and is understandably more informed than most folks about flower arrangements. I figured if it was good, that would be nice but mostly, its the thought that counts, right? Well, aunt was over the moon both at my thoughtfulness and the quality of the arrangement. Direct quote from her: I give it an 11/10! And shes not one for false praise! She specifically called out the freshness of the roses, the balanced multiplicity of bows and the general balance of the centerpiece. Ill be a repeat customer.

I ordered a carrot cake (my partner’s favorite flavor) for his birthday. I ordered it a couple days in advance since I couldnt be there. The day it was supposed to be delivered they called me at noon and said they were out. I would have at least appreciated a little earlier of a notice so I could make other plans. I understand that maybe you are understaffed, but then dont promise something you cannot deliver.

We had a death in the family and live out of state :( Not the best circumstances but everyone here was very helpful and patient. They answered my questions and delivered the arrangement on time! The good: the flowers look great! The enchanted spring bouquet looks exactly as advertised. The flowers are very fragrant, once the packaging was removed, and have stayed beautiful for days! I couldn’t ask for better flowers than the ones we received.The bad: (disclaimer: these were delivered the Friday before Mother’s Day, so I understand they were busy) the flowers were delivered almost an hour after their 9 hour delivery window was supposed to be closed with absolutely no contact about the lateness nor any apology or even admission of lateness on their part; the flowers smelled like cigarettes when we finally received them. Granted it was just the wrapping/packaging that smelled, but it’s rather disconcerting when you go to smell the flowers you just received and all you can smell is cigarette.Based on flowers alone, I would order from this shop again, though I hope they get some new delivery drivers.

Portland Florist Shop did AMAZING work on my wedding flowers! I reached out because I read a different Google review which said that everywhere else was overpriced, but that these guys quoted her $100 less than any other florist in this area. I second that! The owner might be very brief/blunt via email, but I had a fantastic in person consultation experience. My bouquet was MORE than what I hoped for and our 21 ft. arch garland was gorgeous. Everything was extremely affordable AND Portland Florist Shop was able to accommodate our order a month out from our wedding. I highly recommend them! They will take care of you!

Was intending on purchasing flowers here, however after speaking to the employee on the phone who was EXTREMELY rude and could barely contain his impatience I decided not to spend my money here. I understand they sounded very busy but this is a poor excuse when i was looking to spend over 100$ on an arrangement and delivery and ended up going to VIP who treated me very well and I spent double what I was planning because of the awesome service. I suggest figuring out the customer service problem here because I will not spend money places that treat their customers with disdain and anger for no reason.

I ordered funeral flowers for my dear grandmother. It was important for my grandmother to have the most perfect flowers for her funeral, since she was so special. I ordered a casket spray, a floral spray, a couple of floral wreaths, and a floral casket insert. Lynne took my order, and she was very knowledgeable in creating the best flower arrangements. The Portland Florist Shop was able to make and deliver the flowers on time. I was impressed how beautiful and fresh the flowers looked. The colors were perfect! This was my first time ordering from the Portland Florist Shop. I will be ordering from them again!!

This photo is taken a week after the flowers were delivered. They are still as beautiful as the day they arrived. I am so pleased to be able to enjoy them for so long. I cant wait to see if they will last another week.

The shop could not find my delivery address so I had to cancel my order and go with a different flower shop. Unfortunately this meant my flowers were not delivered on time. The address given was correct and the other flower shop had no problem finding it.

My wife was having a rough week at work, having ordered flowers from Portland Florist Shop in the past, I knew exactly what to do. I called around 10 in the morning and asked for a bouquet with lillies to be sent to her job by 5, it arrived on time and was absolutely beautiful, it made her day and it didnt break the bank in the process. I ordered an arrangement for a dear friend and the shop was able to accommodate my request during thanksgiving weekend which I was grateful for. The flowers looked even better than the picture on the website so I was pleasantly surprised! My friend loved the arrangement and cried when she received it. Received an anniversary arrangement from daughter and grandsons --absolutely stunning, flowers fresh and fragrant. Delivered on requested date despite frigid temps, gusty winds, and freezing rain!. Arrangement wrapped in cellophane to protect flowers. Portland Florist is absolutely the best and definitely a return to vendor.

They forgot to do their part, so the flower arrangement I ordered for my mothers funeral never came. I dont get a redo on this one. She was buried today. So disappointing....hard to even put into words how sad this is.Edit to respond to owner : wrong!! The funeral home let you know the service was canceled for Monday. The person they spoke with said she would reach out to me to reschedule. I had no idea if any of this. She admittedly forgot to reach out to me because valentines day was so busy. Glad everyone got their valentines day flowers. My mom was buried without any. The person admitted to the funeral home that it was her fault because she did not reach out to me. A sincere apology and a free arrangement would have been thoughtful and kind. Excuses? Not so much.

This was my first time ordering flowers ever. Maybe my expectations were set a bit high from the website photos, but I felt a bit underwhelmed by what I got vs what I saw on their website. Overall, the flowers we received looked good, but not quite the grand display I would have liked. Overall, I would likely buy flowers from them again, but only in person, so I know the quality of the flowers matches how I feel about the one I am giving them to.

Ordered online and the date I had asked for some how changed so I called and they were more then welcome to change the date and I was able to pick my order up a couple hours later and my girl friend loved them!

Put in my online order for a dozen roses and a box of chocolates at 3pm and requested delivery before noon the next day (knowing that was a tall order during Valentines week). They arrived at 10:30am the next day as Id hoped. The standard size bouquet was a lot bigger than I expected and quite fragrant and beautiful. My wife quickly became the envy of the office. She was delighted! She also said the chocolates were truffles and super yummy. Thank You Portland Florist Shop!

I got online to order a plant for my friend for sympathy at about 1:30 in the morning after getting off work. I wanted it delivered later that day. The website was pretty easy to navigate on my cellphone in the dark. I perused options and picked a nice plant rather than a bouquet. I checked out via paypal and went to bed. By the next morning I had a confirmation email with my order details and information to call if I needed anything. Under my order it said “as similar as possible” and I just called to check that they would send the actual plant ordered just so I would know for sure what was being sent. In the checkout process there was a spot where you could specify you wanted the exact thing you ordered. I think this statement is mainly for mixed bouquets when one part of what is pictured might be out of season or unavailable. The person on the phone located my order and confirmed that was the exact plant they were sending. I got a call and a text from my friend later that day thanking me for the lovely plant and the picture she sent showed an absolutely gorgeous plant. I was very happy with the process from beginning to end including the speed at which the delivery took place. Would definitely use again for local deliveries!

My husband passed away just a few days ago. Earlier, this afternoon, I was working at home, sorting through his things. Unexpectedly, the doorbell rang. I was stunned when, opening the door, there was a smiling woman almost hidden behind the biggest, brightest, most lavish floral arrangement I have ever received. There were lots of yellow and orange roses, complemented by rich purple and delicate lavender flowers and lush greenery, and it was just gorgeous. Turns out it was from my employer, and all I can say is, it warmed my heart. The bouquet is breathtaking, and Mary (who delivered it) provided just the right degree of friendly empathy. My husband would have simply loved it. Portland Florist Shop -- and Mary -- clearly know what theyre doing. I would wholeheartedly recommend them!

I used the Portland Florist Shop to order a fresh flower cake. I wanted to work directly with a local florist rather than use one of the big online companies. I found their website to be a bit clunky so I was a bit worried but I could not be happier with the price, delivery and the product. The shop called my sister when she didnt answer her door. I appreciated that they were so conscientious. My sister told me she had never seen anything like the cake/flower combination it and it was stunning. The cake was white with raspberry filling with a beautiful design in the frosting. The flowers appeared to be growing out of the cake and were a stunning combination of dark purple tulips, variegated greens, etc.. The flowers were actually in their own container and my sister can now enjoy the flowers since the cake was delicious and they ate it up in one sitting! The photo on the website does not do justice to the actual product. Im sorry I cant upload the photos! I highly recommend Portland Florist shop and would not hesitate to use them again!

My fiancee and I decided to get married during the COVID pandemic. With little notice, we called Portland Florist. They didnt have most of what we wanted in stock and couldnt get much due to supply chain issues and the recent Mothers Day holiday. They were sympathetic to my plight and worked with me to create the arrangements needed. They were easy to work with, reasonably priced and very transparent. The arrangements were delivered on time and were beautiful. I highly recommend using Portland Florist for all your flower needs.

This morning at about 3:30 in the morning as I was dealing with my insomniac of a toddler, it suddenly hit me: Time got away from me, and today is my moms 50th birthday. I had planned on sending her a surprise bouquet of flowers, and yet I didnt put in the order. Feverishly going to dozens of floral delivery sites, and seeing the prices for same day delivery of even a tiny bouquet, I was about to give up. Finally, I came across Portland Florist Shop and was excited to see it was locally owned and operated for many years. I ordered a bouquet and not only was it delivered in the early afternoon even though I ordered it just hours prior in the middle of the night, but the bouquet is gorgeous, and was about half the price of many other similar arrangements. I ordered a valentines gift for my fiancé but I was told it would be delivered in time for Valentine’s Day then it snowed so they canceled the delivery date and told me I would have it the next day ( 15th ) so I waited and got another email saying it would be here when the snow melted and i got a text saying it would be here late afternoon ( today )and never received it . I sent a text message but never got a response back this by far the worst way I could receive a gift not reliable

I ordered one of the bouquets that came in a yellow pitcher for my MIL and she was so happy with them! The pitcher they came in was so full she had to split the bouquet into another vase to water it, I was told so many times how beautiful it was and how talented everyone at the shop must be. Such a disappointment. I called today about sending a potted plant/potted floral basket to my mom for Mothers Day. I have ordered things from here for her for many, many years and have always had the most amazing help with picking something out for her, as I live across the country...and my mom lives like a mile from this shop. In the past, I have called in and the people helping me have either been willing to take the time to tell me what is available and ask what my mom likes to help recommend something that would be great for her, or I have even had people offer to take a few pictures based on what my moms tastes are and send me pictures so I can pick out something great. So I can see what I am ordering before just blindly spend like $150. I just called and the woman I spoke to was just flat out rude. She had no interest in helping me in any way. Offered no suggestions, said the stuff online wont look like what is actually delivered other than it being flowering plants or not, but colors and types of plants will just be random. I told her right at the beginning of the conversation (and several time throughout the short call) that I was from out of town in Chicago and asked if there was any way to pick out something from their selection...if shed be willing to help me find something just right, she informed me I would just have to come in and see in person. I again said I was out of town and could use some help and she said, Well you could come into the store No descriptions of what is available, no offer to help find something based on colors and preferences. Just a snide remark that if I wanted to pick something for delivery I could come to the store myself. Sure, Ill just jump on a plane so I can come to the store to be sure I am spending my money on something my mom will like. So RUDE. I will have to find a new florist to help with holidays after this. Very disappointed as I have always been so happy with their help in the past and only shop here for my mom.

The Portland florist shop has a good selection of flowers and gifts. They also promote the neighboring businesses with adds in there shop. It is a little awkward interacting with the staff. Their skills are definitely centered in flower design and not customer service. While picking flowers you can see and hear a staff member organizing deliveries. Nice flowers, strange experience.

The people were nice and helpful. The selection available was not as large as I was hoping. But it is winter. Ultimately I got what I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. Good experience.

I live in the UK and my parents both still live in Portland. So, I am very far away! So glad I discovered the Portland Florist Shop. I ordered flowers for my mothers birthday in March, and just now again for my fathers birthday in May. Website is great, easy to use, doesnt get discombobulated by non-American billing address (believe me, thats a thing!) Flowers are delivered on the day requested, and look just like they do on the website. My mothers flowers literally lasted for weeks and weeks! They were both very pleased with their flowers from Portland Florist Shop and I will definitely head straight for them next time I want to send flowers from a distance. Highly recommended!

The owner, Lynn, is so very helpful. My bouquet of brilliant flowers called Sugar n Spice is holding up for almost 2 weeks! The design had a large amount of flowers, they did not skimp at all. Even the greenery was quality, fresh and not a bunch of filler that makes a mess and falls apart. I cannot give enough compliments and kudos. No, this is NOT a paid endorsement. I have ordered locally and both service and quality has fallen short. So glad to have found Portland Florist. Even though I am out of their area one of their designers went out of his way to deliver my order on his way home. What service!! I cant wait til I see my next arrangement.

Ordered flowers for my wedding from this shop. They were fine but disappointing because they were significantly smaller and had less flowers than in the photos on their website. I couldnt even believe they were my flowers because they didnt look anything like the pictures.The bouquets were mostly cheap filler flowers instead of the roses we ordered. Really disappointed with this business and would not order from here again.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my Grandma, whod recently lost her sister. Im told the flowers did not arrive fresh, and only last one day! While $60 for a bouquet isnt a huge amount, Im disappointed that this company lacked the integrity to honor its advertising! I wont use them again!

They offered no condolences, only excuses that they were busy today. I would expect that a flower shop would have planned appropriately for this holiday.Abominable customer service, terrible attitude, no flowers for my wife on Valentines Day.

Well i have used Portland Florist shop on numerous occasions. My daughter always tells me how wonderful the flowers and the service is. I live in South Africa and my daughter in Portland. I have never had a problem and i will continue to use them. I find the website great.

I dont do a lot of reviews because any one can leave one. and just anyone can leave a bad review just because they feel they can.I ordered my wife 2 different types of flower arrangements one for our wedding anniversary and one for her birthday witch is on the 12th a few days later. Now i made this order at 6am and when i got home at 630 the stuff was not there so i was a little upset so I called and left a mesg. and the sent a email also tell them I was upset and i wanted a refund. within 15 minutes i got a call and Lynne told me she was sorry the van broke down and she was still out delivering but she would be happy to refund my money. I told her its not a problem and i understand if you are out please still bring them. thank you Lynne the flowers were perfect .now here is to the long story just because you see a bad review it doesnt mean that it is the shops fault it just means that no matter what they were willing to do was not going to make the customer happy i deal with it daily. I could of got on here and left a bad review but when it comes down to it things in life happen cars brake down, people get sick but by 8 the flowers were there and my wife was happy thats all that matters and lynne went the extra step and made sure they where delivered and not said she will just do it tomorrow. After the PRO people failed me miserably, I found Portland Florist Shop. I do not live in the area so I shopped on the website. I was amazed at how many different beautiful creations they offered with delivery and completely reasonably priced. The best part is true customer service. Lynne had a question about my order and called me, unlike the PRO people. They just cancelled my order. Lynne called and we totally worked it out! Next time I order flowers in the Portland area, no question about it, Im coming directly to Portland Florist Shop first.

Just dont, its that simple.I placed an order by phone for delivery on Valentines on Feb 13th at 09:05. When Valentines day arrived my order wasnt delivered to my wife and when I checked my emailed receipt the amounts didnt match the quoted price. I then attempted to call them 18 times that day and had to resort to going into the store and was told they DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE ON HOLIDAYS. After 40 minutes of verifying and checking the details they confirmed I was billed the incorrect amount and that my order wasnt even prepared, so agreed to refund me. 3 days later (today) I discovered they hadnt even started a refund so had to contact the store for the refund yet again.(Oh and a customer before me had been waiting 2 hours for an order before leaving empty handed)Here are some excuses I was given;Its Valentines day and are very busy...We dont have time to answer our phones...We show you collected your order yesterday...We have been working since before midnight and so are a little rummed upThey have to check the full days transactions for the amount as their bank is not in the same time zone and when I offered to look up the time difference was told they didnt know where their bank was located...And my personal favorite...Some stores imitate us, are you sure you ordered from us?

My siblings and I ordered a modification of a funeral arrangement. It spanned over two feet and was beautiful, yet masculine -- to represent our outdoorsman father. The staff & owner were very accommodating and easy to work with. We were very pleased with the price and will definitely return to this shop in the future.

The wrong flowers were delivered for mothers day. Mike called & spoke with Lynn, she apologized & said that the arrangement ordered would be delivered today. The shop is closed, no answer on phone, email, etc. UPDATE: the arrangement was delivered. It was the right one. I apologise for the way I said things, but you couldve avoided all this by getting it right the first time. Sorry you cried, sorry we both cried. Im sure thats not why you got in the flower business.

So I didnt buy any flowers there yet, but I did go to their coffee shop the other day and was very impressed by their barista! Grace put a smile on my face for the rest of the day, such wonderful customer service!

Came in 30 mins before getting dinner with my mum for Mothers Day. They asked me how much I was willing to spend, and they whipped up a bouquet in less than ten minutes. Far beyond my expectations for the extremely reasonable price. Will order from them again.

I ordered an arrangement on their web site to be delivered the next day. It was delivered to the right place at the right time and it looked just like the photo on the web page. The flowers were fresh -- the lilies hadnt opened yet. Nice job.
