Ed and John at Hometown Garage do such a good job at taking care of my car and taking care of me as a customer. They have real integrity and Im so happy I found them. Do NOT go to the big guys across the street -- theyre NOT good mechanics and charge ridiculous prices. Go to Hometown Garage-- they are great mechanics, charge fare prices, and treat customers well.

Awesome service, they send you a text message link that tells you who will be working on your vehicle, what is wrong with it, what needs immediate attention, what can wait and what they are fixing which is pretty cool. The staff is very professional, hard working and honest. Definitely my go to place.

The entire experience was great at Hometown Garage. It was nice dealing with the actual owner of the business--I knew he would want to make sure I was happy. They did a very thorough assessment of the car and gave me some recommendations of work that should be done, but there was no pressure to sell me the work. I ended up having front brakes done on their recommendation and the work looks and feels tremendous. I definitely recommend the friendly, competent folks at Hometown.

I went in for an emissions test last week. It was easy to make an appointment and I was in and out in 20 minutes.

I needed a brake job and they were able to take my car the same day and get it back to me in that afternoon. I was very happy with the service all around and they even switched my snow tires over to All seasons at the same time.

Had some front end work done on my trailblazer, and it still was noisy after a few days, took it back and they fixed it the next day. Great service.

The communication and diligence from their end was unparalleled. I thought I needed a Transmission rebuild and was turned away by two other shops. Hometown Garage did a thorough inspection and discovered it was just the head gaskets that needed to be replaced. Substantially less than I feared, and they were communicative along each step of the process with updated quotes. I got the truck back over a week ago and I have not experienced any lagging issues from before these guys worked their magic. Highly recommended!

Once again Hometown Garage has done and excellent job with my truck repairs. They quickly informed me about the worn and damaged parts that needed replacement. They invited me in to see the parts and the extent of all work needed. Ed work out a precise estimate for me and stuck to it after the job was done. John called me a day after I was back on the road to check on the patient and I told him how well the truck was driving now. John and Ed are the most down to earth, honest, good old Connecticut boys you can find and they never get tired of my questions when Im asking about advise on caring for my truck. Honest, friendly service! I brought my car in to get new rear brake pads. I was told last year by a different service center that I needed to replace the rear brake pads soon. In fact they suggested I have them done at that time. I declined last year so when I started to hear some intermittent squealing just recently, I figured I it must be time to have them replaced. I brought my car to Hometown to have the work done and was shocked when they called me about an hour later to tell me the brake pads didnt need to be replaced yet b/c I had 50% left!! Talk about honest service! How often does that happen?! I am sure if I had taken my car anywhere else, they would have just done the brake job even though I didnt need it. On top of it, Hometown didnt even charge me for their time! I am pleasantly amazed and very appreciative of their honest and friendly service and plan to bring my car back for all my future service needs! Thanks Hometown!
