About the only car parts store I use. Parking can sometimes be a bit tough cos of businesses next door.The have a 10% discount for current and former service members with proof of service like VIC Card

I was a little hesitant because of some reviews, but I will definitely recommend and give them my business in the future. They got me in quick, I was missing hardware which was entirely my fault and I overnighted from CA - they spent the time and checked with the MFG and told me what I needed to order. Great experience!

Parts need to be a little bit more cheaper they too expensive

Almost everyone at this location is VERY unfriendly and have always get the feeling that helping you is the last thing they are there to do. This feeling has been my experience over years in doing business with this location

I just wanted to commend Jeff, who works at Baxter Auto Parts. I had a tail light out. I bought the parts that I needed for the repair, and proceeded to (outside the store) to replace it myself. Easy, right! I got the cover off, then I couldn’t figure out where the light bulb went. I went back into the store and Jeff was kind enough to come out and me. He, not only, showed me where the bulb went, but put the whole thing back together! THANK YOU, Jeff. Your help was greatly appreciated!

Four employees on duty and not one acknowledged me or offered to help. I tried to find the filter I needed but nope. I left and, again, not a single employee said hi. 1pm today. 11.2.20.

The guy behind the parts counter was incredibly rude. I asked for some basic details on my vehicle and was immediately met with an attitude. “I guess I could look that up for you”. Usually get better service. I’ll be going elsewhere from now on.

A auto part store that actually has everything in stocks.

I needed to do an oil change on my vehicle and I needed a specific tool to get the oil filter off. Places I called told me they probably had the tool I needed, but I would have to bring the part into there store. If I could get the part off then I wouldnt need the tool. Lenny at Baxter knew that and helped me get the tool I needed. I probably paid a little more, but it was so worth it. I had everything I needed for my oil change that day & didnt have to wait for it to be shipped to me. Thank you everybody at Baxter!

After going to other auto parts stores in N. Portland, because they are closer ,and having no luck with my problem, I went to the Hayden Meadows store because in the past they had more knowledgable people there. I was not disappointed. I was directed to Kevin with my problem and he consulted with Roy and they came up with exactly what I needed.Fabulous customer service just like the good old days. Other places, if its not on the computer, they are lost.These guys are old school and werent afraid to go in the back area and dig out what I wanted. Could not be happier.

From a ladys point of view These guys are the best in town! Knowledgeable and helpful and charming. Seemed like a lot of older men shopping too, so they must think so too. Family owned.

When it comes to getting what I need and advice, HOLY MOLLY you can not go wrong here!I own 4 cars. I go here for anything. I dont care if they charge a little more. They have went out of their way to help me and my family no mater what. AND THEY DEALT WITH MY MOM.DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO DEAL WITH MY MOM? LOL. :-)I forgot the dudes name but he has a beard. HE IS AMAZING! The place even has a machine shop.When I need the right part, they go out of their way to make sure I get it. I mean they take their time. Please dont be in a rush. They are there to help you if you are patient.I love this place. But I have many good experience in Portland with the parts stores. Some not so much. But its more about the people at the stores, not the stores themselves.Many times, I went in and asked for a part and they asked why? I told them and they said it might not be your problem. Yup, they were right.Yea, I could get a lower price someplace else. Sure. But I am not willing to risk it when it comes to my cars.They do Military and vet discounts. Have a nice open parking lot with tons of space to park your car.They also have all those parts that other stores just dont seem to carry in stock.If you have a Town and Country minivan, chances are they got your part in stock. And they know the right part you need.And they are the only people I know that sell HID kits and other items like that IN STORE!

It is really great to be able to get help from someone who is willing to think about the question asked. I came in looking for something unusual but the gentleman who helped me thought about it for a second then got exactly the part I needed. The guys at the other national chain store couldnt even listen to me long enough before concluding I didnt need the part I was after but needed something else that hadnt been proven to be failing. Thank goodness I wasnt so naive! That would have cost $$$ and not solved the problem. Turns out $2.50 spent at Baxters gave me the answer! Problem solved. Thanks again!

The guy who helping me was amazing! I cant say enough good things about the service. Both my headlights went out and the guy checked both my fuse boxes before confirming it was the headlight bulbs and then he changed them for me for free. So thankful for the help I received today!! If im not mistaken there is an employee named Doug that works in this location and we were having some car trouble on Saturday, as we were from out of town we needed the problem fixed right away. He helped us with the parts we needed and even went as far as to come out to our car and help us loosen the spark plug with his own tools. THANKS DOUG :)

The New girl isnt very helpful and seams to hate being there. I was waiting in line for Kevin or Donald to help me wile she was on the computer doing something If you are going to hire new people make sure they actually want to work and help the customer. I hope she gets canned soon.

I am an out-of-town visitor so I had to find a quick auto store to visit. This place was a little bit out of the way and difficult to find but it had what I needed and had good service and support so I would have to generally recommend it.

Baxters is the best around....

The Baxters side is kind of over priced. I only come here because Central 4 wheel drive moved over there and I like working with Jim. Hes never in a rush and always has great ideas as to what will work best for your truck.

Today seems too be a lot of auto parts store Many of them of China garage that dont last.I started too go too Baxtor because my local store I had been going too for 30 years ended up selling me one too many parts that didnt even last a week.After going too Baxtor I havent had any failer in the parts.I just picked up a Brake master cylinder and easy bleeders.They worked very well for a person who doesnt have a helper too pump the brakes when bleeding.The only problem I have is the counter guys not all . Failed too get me the part when I asked and 7 hours past when I returned. He said they dont make any for my Jeep. I call that b.s. you just dont want too do your job. So minutes larter he comes out with a newer parts book . Funny how they have the part.My question is if your sell me a brake master cylinder, why dont you try too sell me or show me a new part like a easy bleeders. If I wasnt a Diesel mechanic I wouldnt have known.

Just go to this Baxters. its location means never have I had to wait and I always get an answer. AutoZone is ok for those who need a car and try to to keep it alive. Baxters is for people who not only use a car cover and hit the dragstrip with there car but know how to keep it alive. This Baxters anyways is the best auto parts store ive been in BUT I am heavily addicted to any car thats fast and clean.And I have worked at the big three auto parts stores. Point is if you go to the dragstrip to RACE no watch..you go here.

They only get one star. I was having a battery issue I called them told him I was on my way for parts.well I barely made it there my lights are going out raining and dark windshield wipers and windows wouldnt work anymore I pulled right in front of the door at 5 minutes till 9 p.m. they close at 9. The look on there faces when I pulled up is what you would expect at a fast food joint at 20 minutes to close. Lol There was three employees all three of them standing right by the door amd pointed at the clock or the sign as I walked up I open the door said I made it, I called earlier about it part. Not one acknowledge me like glad you made it or some thing.I only needed a few simple Parts I was there 5 minutes maybe 6 at the most. I had asked him if any of them lived at Hayden Island 1.5 miles away, thiking maybe follow me home so wasnt sure if I was going to make it they all said they didnt which is fine no problem. We all pretty much walked out together two of the three walked out with me I open the hood and my truck died, batteries are dead because I had a bad ground terminal I couldnt tighten it. When it died I said damn I turned and looked at them they turned their backs and walked away they know all I needed was a jump start and I wasnt about to ask them who would think I would need to ask they are Auto Parts salesman. They drove away in three vehicles not one of them offered to give me a jump start I have cables and you know five minutes of their time. Guess thats the difference between big city and small towns. It just seemed you know being a customer of theirs that one of them would have asked if I needed assistance or something you know. I know I would have helped a person like that Ive done it many times throughout my life. I have shopped here 3 or 4 times prior to this and I give Baxters one star.

I bought a 5 qrt jug of Mobil 1 and an oil filter for my MK6GTI, The price was $52.00 and change.That seemed a little expensive so I looked up online pricing. $36.00 oil and filter.33% mark up over available pricing, seems high. I will definitely shop before buying next time.
