A before and after of a restored painting my parents had done by a French painter in the Alps just before I was born. From years of smoke damage, Jason Jones brought it back to life. This one came to life thanks to him. I am so grateful to him as this was pure sentimental value. He’s also a great artist with his own work and sells other restorations, it’s his multiple skills and talents that produces great results. Thank you Jason!

We have a beautiful, intricate, wood sculpture we purchased in Africa almost 40 years ago. It was terribly faded by sun exposure & we were hoping Jason could restore it. He exceeded all expectations & the sculpture looks good as new! He was fair and reasonably priced- completed the project on time- pleasure to work with. If you need fine art restored, Jason is the person to call.

We have used Jones Sculpture two times recently and have been thrilled with Jason’s work. He is precise, careful, and so knowledgeable about art and how to repair it. In our case, we had major damage for two antique sculptures and and mirror that were damaged in transport. Jason repaired all of the pieces to their previous state. We call him the miracle worker! I had a fairly expensive ceramic of a mother and child that I bought in Hong Kong some years ago. After leaving it in the cupboard for several years, I finally brought it out to place on a display area. It has dimensions of about 11 high with a base of less than 2. While dusting my display area, my finger just flicked it and it fell, breaking an arm and hand off plus some other small pieces. I was distraught. I found Jones Sculpture Studio on line and called and spoke with the owner Jason Jones. I soon got together and left the pieces in his care. When I picked it up this week, I was absolutely amazed. Jason repaired it perfectly and I couldnt have been happier. I would recommend Jason without reservation to repair any type of damaged art work.

My mom recommended Jones’ Sculpture Studio to repair my Lladros as she was very pleased with the repair he did on one of hers. We had a difficult time connecting due to my working odd, long hours and a missed connection at the shop. He came to my place of employment and picked up my pieces which needed repairs. I am super happy with the results. One needed a piece glued on, the other needed a flower petal crafted and applied. He also noticed one was missing a lock of hair which he crafted and attached. I am very pleased and highly recommend this shop.

I searched for several years to find someone that could repair a badly damaged, very old Foo Dog. I finally found Jason of Jones Sculpture Studio but was rather embarrassed to send him the box containing the cracked and broken sculpture, even with pieces missing. He even took the time to keep us updated on the progress of the repairs. Thank you Jason!

Jason Jones repaired a precious antique for us and may have saved our relationship as well! We found his website online and it looked like he would be a good source for repairing my partners antique oil lamp that I accidentally broke in many places. Jason did not disappoint! We went to Portland with lamp and pieces carefully wrapped and arrived at his amazing studio. He was gracious and took the time to explain in detail his process and what he could do for us to repair the lamp. He also took us on a tour of his studio and artwork which are alone worth the trip! True to his word, he repaired the piece before Christmas and included a nice written explanation of its possible origin and age. We were both amazed at the careful and impeccable work he did to repair the lamp - truly amazing! I recommend Jason for anyone who has a treasure that needs restoring or repairing. He is a remarkable resource. (Did I mention his fees are most reasonable, especially for the quality work he performs?). Thank you, Jason!!- Cathy Kerr

If there is anyone out there searching for a class act person who brings life back to precious things, look no further. I had a wood sculpture of Pinocchio that I have had for 30 years at least. Through the years, Pinocchio came in contact with tobacco smoke, mold and mildew, and everything else in between. After doing some research, I stumbled upon Jason’s website and saw a light at the end of the tunnel. The others I spoke with didn’t seem to have the know-how, and I couldn’t find any reviews or feedback from customers which I tend to rely on, but after looking at the reviews on Jason’s website and then having a conversation with him, I knew I found the right person. He is competent, knows tons about all art platforms (and history too!) and his prices are very reasonable. Thanks Jason!

I had a great experience with Jason Jones of Jones Sculpture Studio, after doing lots of research and reading online reviews, I settled on hiring him. My girlfriend had a multi-colored ceramic sculpture she made in Art school, and was very sentimental to her. At some point it got dropped and was broken in half, and she kept it in a box for many years. I brought the pieces to Jason, and I was immediately impressed by his demeanor, knowledge of sculpture and art repair, as well as his immense studio space filled with repairs in progress and his original works (which are pretty amazing!). He quoted a fair price and had it repaired and ready to go in 3 days, just in time to put under the Christmas tree. Jason was able to put the sculpture pieces back together and color match, so well that you would never know it was ever broken. You will see the reaction in the photos how surprised and happy it made her! I highly recommend Jason for Art repair/restoration, I couldnt be happier with the result. Thanks Jason!

We have now used Jason for 3 western-style (seamless) porcelain repairs. His work has been so good that, when we pass the repaired pieces, we both always say Wow, I cant believe he did such a great job!Our first repair was a large statue of white porcelain Guanyin (Kanon in Japanese) which had broken fingers. After we met and I paid half up front (quite normal, the fee was less than many East coast shops), soon enough Jason wrote to tell me that the remaining fingers were poorly made replacements (my eyesight is bad, so...). So glad he caught that! Next, he sent us photos of a mockup of how new fingers would look. We saw some need for changes and sent him a drawing of what we felt would be right. For the end product, he made some minor adjustments from our design based on how the stubs of the existing fingers were angled, so as to keep as much consistency with the original look as possible. In the end, looking at the piece, it is perfect, absolutely stunning! Note that Jason uses hexatal in his porcelain repairs, which is great because this chemical fuses porcelain like new (or better), and has the refractive index of glass, so it does not show at all, even under a black light.Jason himself is a wonderful and jocular person and I really love working with him. He is tremendously flexible and shares our respect and honor for works of art that have lived and will now live well beyond us. We are so happy to have found someone local, so we dont have to ship to the East Coast, who does fantastic work! We are using him now for kintsugi on another piece, and even a bronze repair. Cant wait to see the results! One note, if you are not accustomed to working with artists and restorers, I would caution you to be patient. Good work takes time and is not easily estimated. As the work progresses, some things are easier, some harder than originally expected. I recently got a 6 week estimate on kintsugi being done in New York and didnt actually get the piece back until a year later! Jason is good about answering email, so, if you need an update, just ask, he is always right there to respond and update you.

After the death of my father the family house was put on the market. Oil portraits of my 2 sisters and myself, painted by my deceased mother (died at 33 y.o) when we were 2,5,7 y.o.were given to me to find someone to clean them and reframe. I found Jason Jones Studio. Working with Jason has been truly a pleasure. He is personable, kind, funny, sensitive, attentive to both me and my story and to the restoration detail of my paintings. A true artist himself he has that keen artists eye that was essential in cleaning these 50 y.o. paintings that had hung in a very moldy house. I also had him frame them in his style using poplar wood that because of its light color and weight it is easily stained perfectly to bring out the best color in each painting. I am also a tree lover. Poplar is symbolic for meditation, compassion, mindfulness, element of water. The frames and paintings are stunning, the colors are bright, the paintings have evolved to an updated earthy look. I highly recommend Jason Jones Studio if you have art to restore. It was an educational and interesting journey with Jason and these very special paintings.
