Good service, but rushed me through. Now I need to follow up on paperwork, exactly what I was trying to avoid. The instruments seem to be good quality. I dont know enough to tell. When its not the back to school rush, they take the time to explain and are a wealth of knowledge

I had a wonderful experience there. Eric was very knowledgeable in the violin and helps me on knowing the differences. He also was able to replace my Precision tuner quickly and at a great price too. Great service!

I took my Selmer Pairs Mark VI alto into Marshall Music in Portage MI needing at least the neck receiver widened to fit snugly in the neck tenon. The Repair tech while checking noticed it was leaking all over and I new that was true before hand and he offered me and incredible quote to get it sealing and playing right. I told him I’d love to but can you get it done by Wednesday (it was Thursday when I brought it in) and he said yes and I left it in his capable hands. Suddenly Monday I get a call saying it’s done and I can come get it and immediately I jump in the car and go get it. From the first note playing it, it just rang and buzzed with life while before the sound was stuffy and dead. Altissimo popped out easily and the bell keys were smooth as well. If you need work on your Sax take it here they know what they’re doing and really care about their craft as well. I would recommend 100 times over. Thank you Marshall of Portage for the incredible service and making my life as a Saxophonist much easier.

I received great information pertaining to my 1983 accordion that I have for sell. New condition, crisp movement, played very little in church.

If you have a child interested in music, I would highly recommend Marshall Music. They offer lessons and have a rental plan for instruments that puts your rental credit towards an instrument of their own. If they dont like a particular instrument the rental credit can go towards another. Its a win win👌

The school of music is great. They have a wide variety of teachers who handle new to experienced, young to old.

Very helpful! Needed my childs instrument repaired, especially for her concert the following day. Although it would take a couple of days to repair, they were able to provide her with a loaner clarinet during the meantime.

A very well ran business. Nerver have experienced a problem here. Just beware that you should comparison shop as sometimes their prices are a bit high. Weve always supported local businesses and understand a reasonable price difference, but were not willing to pay 35% more. So just be a wise shopper and compare.

Good place to get your music stuffs. I get trombone related things here. I am currently renting to own a trombone. Its 30 some dollars per month, and its about $1,000 to pay. This is the best place I know of in this area for music things.

I like Marshall School of Music thats why I do business with them. The teachers are awesome especially my sons piano teacher. The store sells instruments and teach lessons in this location.

Renting my violin was a pain. Also guitar lessons werent great either. It was too fast pace when I was 9 and it shouldnt be when its 1 on 1. Otherwise a great place to buy instruments and sheet music.

Came here to rent to own my sons FIRST musical instrument. The workers were helpful, knowledgebase was above par and so was the instrument! Thanks employees! Keep up the great work!

My son is a new band member and the cork on his clarinet needed replaced. I was able to bring it in and have it done in 15 minutes, AND they fixed a small issue with a screw that was loose without charging me.

Service in here is really poor. I feel as though every time I arrive and need something, I am ignored. recently went in to purchase music I know I could find easily online. I want to support community business. After spending 10 minutes without any help and unable to locate the books myself in their unique styled organizational system, I actually STOOD in the store and ordered them in 30 seconds on Amazon. Sorry Mashalls, but what gives?

Great service if you buy the instrument from them. But when we brought in our marching baritone that we bought elsewhere, were told you get what you pay for. Well we would have paid them for one but when we were looking for one they couldnt seem to even bother ordering one for us.

We have had great instructors for piano and guitar lessons. I would love to continue with them, but will be finding lessons elsewhere due to the incompetent scheduling department and management. After having 2 students enrolled for months, they double booked the time slot that had been offered to us. We had waited all summer for that spot and accepted the time slot as soon as it became available. They never once apologized or admitted their mistake. Im disappointed that they value the business of the new student that was booked in our spot over my 2 continuing students.

I brought my oboe by because one of my keys was loose and wouldnt stay in place. I specifically told them what the issue was, and they said they could fix it and have it ready in 3 days. I got it back about then, and they didnt even fix what was wrong. When I looked at the form that tells you what they repaired, it only said fixed some pads from leaking (none of the pads were leaking). Waste of time.

They are always friendly & willing to help, if i need it. Great atmosphere, a broad selection of music, as well as instruments. I love it there! :)

Helpful staff. They werent able to help me with my old banjo but were knowledgeable enough to suggest another small shop in the area that was able to help with the custom work I needed.

This is the BEST music store around. They can special order what other stores wont or cant. Every time Ive shopped here it has left me with a smile on my face!

Told me to pay up front after they didnt even know exactly what was needed for repairs. How can you accurately price something until you get into it? Then found out they didnt clean out the instrument as was asked to do by us. Which has in turn caused the same issue again, broken sax pads.

Very quiet music store. Mostly centered around private lessons and school bands.

Marshall Music is a great place, but most of their piano arrangements for pop songs incorporate the melody, and they lack an accompaniment part.
