Pretty good place. Huge and has a great selection of almost everything you could want in a hardware store (and some things that seem very oddly out of place at a hardware store). Had a bit of trouble finding specific bolts I needed thought...

A stocky gentleman with a fresh haircut name Eddie helped me and as many times as I’ve been to Menards and when I say that I mean I’ve been here over 100 times he’s the most helpful I have ever met. So quick with his computer work to look up what I needed and It can be Found. I told her yeah John and he deserves a raise if any of his Management sees this. Take him in to consideration.!

First time going as Im from Virginia and we dont have them. Very well layed out and easy to navigate. Great prices as well.

My son and his friend went around 9pm and we loved it. Plenty of room to browse as we were not there for too much. We ended up buying an indoor light fixture for our foyer at a very reasonable price. And I was also able to pick up some other items on my list that I thought I would have to go to another store for........nope. I found body wash, foam hand soap, set of 4 cranberry ombre mixing bowls ( which are super cute), and some beautiful live plants for my front porch and deck. Thank you Menards. We had a hassel free great time!!!!!

Best place for hardware. Dont like that rebate checks have to be spent only at Menards. Some companys actually offer rebates where they send you a check but, menards take them.

Its odd how the workers dont really know all about the store. Ive told customers where something was cause the worker doesnt know. Sad come on Portage stop acting like you work somewhere else. Even the manager failed to tell me he was the manager after I fell on the 2 inch platform they have the doors on. Then The manager acted like he was in twilight zone. I hurt myself bad and portage Menards refused to pay

Assistance is very good. Supplies very good.Registers are getting better.At register has been rude in past about pushing one thru before complete transaction and bagging before starting next customer, even after a$200.00+ purchase.

Menards in Portage is clean and organized. Everyone was wearing a mask. Usually there is someone at the entrance for a greeting and to make sure customers had masks on. There was no body this time. Menards has array of items. Staff was friendly and busy.

Menards is my favorite big box store hands down. I live in Tennessee, Menards doesnt have any stores there. The nearest one is on Paducah, KY 75 miles away. We dont hesitate to make the trip to shop there. They have everything for the home yard and garden. They have everything you could think of. We love Menards and when we are here in Indiana we visit the Portage and Valparaiso stores several times during our visit.

Also need a 50# bag of corn and couldnt lift it, she not only put it in my cart made sure to find me a carry out !! Best employee Ive ever encountered.Asked the cashier and she said she thinks her last name was Greshum (sp)

No complaints shopping here love the huge selection and props to the men and women who gather carts I know an employee there amd hes always in a pleasant mood and always up for a conversation 💪✌😂.

I had an issue with a return, the ladies at the return desk were not helpful. The customer service from the GM Dave was amazing. Excellent job handing he situation , he was polite listened to reason and very knowledgeable about the product. They need more employees like him.

I love going to Menards for the variety of products for my home and garden.

I always find what I need when I go into Menards. Sometimes you find things you didnt expect a hardware store to sell. Some if the associates really dont know the store too well but those like Eddie do know alot and he has been helpful several times while I had shop there.

Excellent sale items we love shopping menards. Purchased our front load washer & dryer from Menards. We enjoy the big variety of merchandise that Menards sells. We gave four stars because Menards needs power wheel chairs in there stores, and more then just one powered wheel chair. That is our only complaint.

Getting like home depot and Lowes when shopping and looking for help and no one is around to help...hopefully it fixes as this pandemic lessens up. I love this store more than the other 2 stores but hate wasting time wondering around looking for help

When we went to have breakfast this morning my son-in-law and I I was filled with joy and happiness the food is excellent the waitresses are friendly and attentive I cant think of a better restaurant to go to.

Had ordered online for a later pickup. Two boys at the pickup counter were NOT going to take my purchase up front for me, HAD to suggest they take it for me. Then try and get someone to put it in my car!!Other than this issue I have no complaints.

Did not carry the size pex I needed. Had to go back to home depot to get the items needed.

A shout out to Mike who works in the flooring department. He was very helpful answering questions and explaining different features and suggested uses on different types of flooring. A five star employee. Marsha DeGaetano

I came here to pick up a few pieces of lumber for a set of stairs I was building. I purchased the lumber and went back to their lumber shed to pick it up. An employee directed me to the appropriate sizes upstairs. I went upstairs and rifled for about half an hour to find straight 2x4s, no biggie its my fault Im picky. I then went to the 2x6s and there wasnt a single board that didnt need major work to be remotely usable. I asked an employee if they had some more (most of it was wet but it rained the night before) and he said no, so I tried to leave and change my lumber order. The gate guards told me I cant leave if I dont have whats on the receipt, so I was put back in line, and went to the building supply counter to change my order.They told me to go to the front of the store to have the difference refunded and have the order changed, the front of the store said building supplies had to do that. I got tired of being told to go to the other end of the store to fix it, and put the wood back and tried to leave again, security said they had to search my vehicle to allow me to leave. I went to the front desk and got my refund and left. This whole scenario was absolutely ridiculous, I was literally buying 8 pieces of wood, and had i not been honest and told them that I was going to grab another dimension the whole masquerade of inefficiency wouldnt have happened. If you need lumber for a project dont waste your time coming here.

Had what I needed, the staff was helpful and checkout was quick. Prices were great for what I purchased.

I like going to Menards because they usually have what I am looking for. The store is always clean and well organized and the employees are very helpful. I also like the 11% rebate they offer because Its like money in the bank and when the rebate comes in the mail I have the rebate certificate to spend at the store when I go back plus whatever I spend it on I will get another 11% rebate on what I purchase.

Requiring customers to wear masks is absurd. Other stores in the area are not requiring a mask at all. The virus is less than half the size of the average weave on a cotton mask. I have a lung condition that causes it to be very difficult to breathe with a mask on. Without fail I get a migraine every time I wear a mask. My migraine medication cost $900. Im assuming that if I shop in your store youre going to cover that then right? Im an adult and I have the right to take my own life at risk if I so choose. Shop at your own risk! So just stop your virtue signaling already. Dont tread on me!!! Furthermore most of your employees and nearly every customer didnt even have the masks over their nose, so thats not going to do them any good.

It seems to be a smaller menards but had what i needed that the lical menards did not. Clean store and the inventory was correct on website

The only PROBLEM I have is they have 2 electric chairs. I am on oxygen and have neuropathy in my feet, and the chairs are being used or 1 is charging I think they should invest in a couple more chairs, I know that they should have the money to invest. Thats a win win for us both. MenardsMakes money and us handicapped spend money, because we can shop longer.

They have everything you need for projects and maintenance of your home. Went on April 26 and the garden center was in full swing already.

The store is open and clean. Usually well stocked even in the middle of a sale. Whenever I need help or just look lost the staff has been very helpful in straightening me out. Ive only ever had one person passive-aggressively mutter about my 5 year old not wearing his mask. He had just taken a drink from a bottle of something we purchased. That chick needed to chill.Anyway I absolutely recommend going there. They have groceries and home improvement things galore.

Its fine that you cannot bring in young kids. But to charge to have someone shop for you then bring it to your car ids outrageous. Other places do not charge for this service. From my understanding its at all the stores. This the only complaint I have about them.

I had a return they took it back with no problems, they had what I was looking for I was in and out in no time.

Definitely not shopping here again. Left here for quite a while and became a regular at home Depot. Decided last week to try hear everything went good, was in a hurry for a few things tonight then got held up over 45 minutes for the customer pickup. The guard at the gate had a nasty attitude and held me at the gate for 20 minutes cuz he said they were full back there. Two vehicles left while I was waiting and I have the receipts with the long register receipt stapled to him so I know they werent there for curbside pickup. When I got to the curbside pickup there were no cars there at all.

Was looking for outside round rocks. Asked 2 people dint know.

Found what i needed and offered advice for my projects. Though everything i need from here is always in the paint section.

I buy most home improvent products here, they have a good selection of products at a reasonable price, I just ordered my bathroom and bought most everything there, and I have to say that when they have their eleven percent off sale that is an inducement to buy there, so I guess I can say I am a satisfied costomer

Found what we needed in a timely manner. 4-5 cart attendants outside under the cart Corrals on their phones, never rounding up carts or asking anyone for assistance. Money well spent management, well done!

Everything was great except for the mask. Your not saving the world. If your so worried about the virus and people getting sick shut down your store till there is a cure. Dont put money above public safety. You big box stores are Hippocrates.

Good visit. Wouldve been slightly better had I been able to find everything I was looking for. They were out of the spark plug I needed for my lawnmower, and I couldnt find a small siphon pump. But I got most of what I needed and checkout went quick.

One of the cheapest places actually for cat litter and it works great. I used to buy tidy cats but now I buy the Menards brand works just as good! Employees in there are always super nice and helpful.

Never enough scooters (electric carts). If you want disabled people to shop & buy your products, then get more scooters. Otherwise Ill just shop somewhere that has them.

The Check out lady was very rude and had a big time attitude. Plus one of the stocker boys l asked where any item was and got told Like i know not what l was expecting from Menards usually l always get friendly service but not this time really really bad service this time.

We have spent a lot of money at this store especially over the past couple of years. We bought most of our new kitchen here, along with many other materials, doors and appliances. I have to tell you, we were completely satisfied until yesterday. We went to pick up a door that was ‘around back’. I brought a person with a truck as my car wasn’t big enough. That kid at the gate could NOT have been more rude if he TRIED. I’m telling you this for your own sake. We can shop anywhere. I’m sure other customers would not appreciate his rude attitude.

Always got what I need at great price

Very rude employee hall monitors (mask police). Masks are not proven to help. Plus they are not required by law, and are illegal to wear if you happen to be carrying a concealed weapon (Indiana state law). Sad that a store tells there employees to tell there customers to violate the law. I was asked to leave, so I left all my items right there, and went to Lowes to purchase them there, better selection cheaper.

Clean. Courteous. Professional. I really appreciate the extra stringent COVID response requiring all shoppers and employees to wear a mask. Only request is to have chlorox wipes at the entrance for customers to use if they voluntarily want to wipe down the carts before use. Beautiful store inside and outside.
