I gotta say… I’m beyond impressed!!!! Today, I walked in there looking for a laptop for starting my gaming studio/channel and accessories, and RICK from the electronics department helped and even searched for the last Alienware gaming laptop there was for like 20 minutes, he was beyond helpful, knew exactly what I was looking for, was extremely honest about what to get and stay away from and literally just walked me though absolutely everything I needed to know. GIVE HIM A RAISE!!!! He is the PERFECT salesman and deserves the raise!! Thank you Rick!!!!!!!!!

Quick service. Polite workers. Always able to get help when needed without a mire than a 10 minute wait. Workers are consistent with checking customers that may need help finding what they are looking for or have questions. The deals are great, and workers are willing to hell you find the best deals. Workers are quite knowledgeable about the stores products and rarely need to ask if the product you need is out of stock or in back at all. Best store for your electronic needs, as well as many other types of products, accessories, or appliances.

Oct/18/21...Had to buy a 4g cell phone in a hurry. Associate Gavin, was a great help. We will ask for him next time we need a phone, and that will be soon, as 3g is on the way out in a hurry.Weve bought many televisions, and computer stuff from Best Buy with great results. When we decided to modernize our stereo, we were looking around for Sony speakers when Jim, the Sony expert, rescued us. Shopping at the Portage Best Buy is a no brainer for most things you want, or need... Hopefully youll be helped by someone as knowledgeable, and professional as Jim.

5★ to 0★ in one transaction. Inexcusable. Unacceptable. And, really, unbelievable of my local, (previously) well-loved, (previously} reliable Best Buy.Disgusted by their refusal to make their errorS right without charging me an additional $500 over 5 years for my protection plan.Either I agree or I am stuck with a refrigerator THEY damaged upon delivery and then also screwed up by not having a replacement product on the truck the first time I followed their instructions to fix the issue.The truck arrived with a pick up order, but no replacement! This clearly wasnt my fault.Now, about 4+ hours of my t in, Im STILL trying to rectify their errors (first, damaging both doors upon delivery, second, missing replacement product on the truck when arrived for exchange), and, now, to fix the damaged did, Im going to be charged, overall, $500 MORE OVER THE NEXT 5 YEARS.This is disgusting behavior and unacceptable. I cant believe they wont make it right. I KNOW it can be done. Enter the request manually, put the doors in your back seat and come replace. Do NOT to me it cant be done. Youre human, and you CAN do anything necessary to rectify things. It sickens me that you wont.

If you can buy your electronics or get service done anywhere else do it. The phone customer service sucks! (Was on hold for an hour, to be told i have to schedule a service online myself because her computer wouldnt load the page).Scheduled a dash cam installation just to arrive and be told only the manager could hardwire install and he only works wed-sat. Why did you schedule me then?Tried to return the an item to be told it can only be put into a best buy gift card.Just take your money and service ANYWHERE else. I hate this place.

Purchased a computer for pick up and two monitors for delivery. Noticed it said pick up in 4 days. Called immediately and had it switched to today. Arrived to pick it up as was paid for at order. Manager confirmed 5 in stock yet refused to allow me to have one as their system said pick up Saturday not today. I instructed him Tony O that it was changed to today and confirmed by your employee. Still he refused and refused to cancel and refused. Said he couldn’t till Saturday. Called the 800 number escalated like a Karen to the manager who agreed with me he tries to call Tony O and nobody answers. He “refunds” my money haven’t seen it yet the makes me go back in and buy one again! Wait haven’t I already paid! 5 hours no lie and $4k invested now! I will be sure to inform my gamer friends of how Best Buy handles their customers. Oh and my Lefty’s Philly steak got cold before I got a chance to eat it. No one messes with my eats……no one. #takingbusinesselsewhere #eatleftys

I have spent the better part of a decade buying my electronics from best buy due to the convenience and customer service. I purchased a $450 monitor in January with a proprietary stand, and the stand broke from normal use in late April, less than 4 months after purchasing. I spoke to a best buy employee who told me my manufacturers warranty should cover the damage with no issue, but after spending hours on the phone with Dells customer service being pinged to every Dell office around the world to handle my warranty claim, usually having my call dropped and having to start over, I chose to just go in to my local Best Buy in Portage to speak to an actual customer service employee at the retailer I purchased from.Upon arriving, I explained my situation to the employee, who was very understanding and told me this isnt an issue in the least bit, she just needed a manager to type in her code. When the manager arrived, the first thing she asked was did you purchase the extended warranty from us? to which I said no, and before I could say anything else she told me to reach out to Dell then, she wasnt going to help me. At this point I tried explaining that Dell had the worst customer service in the business, and I think she took that as a challenge. She told me she always buys the extended warranty on everything she purchases from best buy (gee thanks, thats super helpful to me right now with my broken monitor). At this point I asked for her manager since she was obviously done with this interaction, to which she replied I am the manager. I told her she has a boss, go get her, or call the CEO for all I care. At this point Ill admit, I began to speak rudely, but honestly that stems from a manager in a customer service department stone-walling me about a product I purchased from her store not 4 months earlier. She straight up told me she would do nothing to support me, or reach out to higher level management, even after I explained that I was willing to purchase the stand, I just would like best buys help tracking down the part since Dell doesnt list it. If you cant help me because you dont have the ability to, then explain that to me and Ill be more than understanding, but to flat out refuse to help a customer is unprofessional, and speaks volumes of the management at the Portage Best Buy.I guess its time to move my purchasing of electronics over to Amazon, Best Buy seems to no longer care about customer service, the primary reason I have spent nearly a decade shopping there.

Most of the employees are friendly and arent pushy. If you have a question there is always someone nearby, which is great, unlike other stores where its impossible to track a person down.Every now and then, youll get an overzealous employee that seems like theyre a little pushy and trying to either get you to buy something you dont want or they try to upsell, but thats not always the case..some genuinely help and offer what seems to be honest advice and knowledge.Clean environment.

Better show up half an hour before closing at this location if you dont want to be turned away. Open sign stats off no matter the time of day to discourage customers. Staff here is absent and unwilling to help. Watching videos and on their phones instead of helping customers.

I love their price match program I use it almost everytime I go just show the cashier the same item on Amazon with prime delivery. Yesterday I went to buy another evga 450w 80+ white power supply and the price had jumped from 29.99 to 49.99 I was then approached by a store associate and I explained to him the situation and he price matched it for me for 29.99Excellent customer service and friendliness!

Clean store and theyre doing a good job keeping things clean and safe. Curbside click-and-collect worked as it should. Staff was friendly. Did purchase a phone accessory and had to return it because it had clearly been opened (even the packaging inside the packaging had been opened). Staff handled the exchange well enough, but item should not have been on the shelf.

Cant contact individual store. Very confusing experience and No idea whether to pick up product or not.Long story i was lucky enough to get a ps5 from a store 1hr away from my location.Got random call from store left on my voicemail saying glitch in system was sending out notification to pick up product but it was not actually ready to pick up.Called back but got sent to national call center. Individual store not accepting calls. Explained situation and representative swore up and down product had to be there. No possible way it couldnt be there. Never actually reached out to store to confirm.Next day not believing representative completely and not wanting to make hour drive for no reason, I called back again. Explained situation and this representative swears up and down unit is not at the store. Never reaches out to individual store to confirm.Bottom line the individual store could answer this question in 1 min. A new notification will not be sent out. No idea whether to go or not.Was going to buy 4 games and extra controller with it but Ill pick that up at different store. Probably from Amazon.

Paid over 1,000 dollars for a pick up order,when we arrived to pick up the product they refused to give it to us(product was in stock in the store) and when we asked for a refund we were refused again,they took our money without giving said product this is theft by any definition.I will be filing a report with BBB,do not do any business here,this used to be my favorite store and I have spent thousands here building a home theater and gaming lounge,however due to this whole situation I will not be returning and hope you choose to take your business to another more deserving company.

Recently purchased a laptop from this location (Westnedge in Portage). It showed online that they had one in their store. Come to find out, probably the only one they had was the floor model. Rich originally helped us, and then we ended up with Miguel. Rich was extremely helpful when explaining what we needed in a new laptop. We wanted to think about our options and once we decided, Miguel helped us. Thats when we were ready to purchase the laptop. Miguel couldnt find it in the store. Told us he was going to check a few places. Disappeared for about 15 minutes and came back helping other customers. Rich ended up finding us and finishing our transaction and ordering the laptop for us to have it sent directly to our home since they did not actually have one in their store. Their inventory was off. Still waiting to receive it in the mail. Rich was very helpful, so if you can find him in the store, make sure you have him help you out.

A gentleman in an Intel shirt not only helped but absolutely went above and beyond to make sure I left with a quality headset for a good price. At check out the cashier said she couldnt check me out due to me not having a mask on. BLESS HER HEART she doesnt understand the difference in cant and wont. Respect goes both ways and we should be respected as well if we cant or dont want to wear them. Staff NEVER asked if we needed anything, I was NEVER asked to leave or put a mask on until I wanted to check out. There is nothing at Best buy that you cant get at Target or another store and I will not be shopping at a BEST BUY ever again. Horrible Horrible place, staff and management.

Do not buy any large appliance from Best Buy. Especially do not pay for a 5 year replacement plan on top of it. Turns out ice makers that are built in to the door are “accessories” and don’t go under the lemon law. They have spent 1400 so far replacing an ice maker and will be doing it again for the 4th time next week. So far every 6 months of owning this Samsung fridge I have had the whole ice maker unit repaired. I am an elite member and buy everything through Best Buy but that changes now. By the time my 5 year warranty is up they will have 5k in repairs
