A fantastic game store with a ton of gaming options and other merch. The person working there was fantastic and she knew a ton about the product they are selling. It is also just a cool store to browse around. If you have any interest in card, table-top, or board games you gotta come by and some of your shopping.

I really like this store. The employees are always very friendly and helpful. I am fairly new to tabletop and board games in general, so I was very satisfied going here and getting the help I needed.Some games are a bit overpriced, more so than simply small local shop increases, so keep an eye. Still, overall a great shop with great people.

This had become our new favorite shop to spend our money and time! Great store, awesome owner. So many board games, card games, DnD, Warhammer, Magic, Pokémon, you name it, they got it! Weve been several times with friends and recently starting going on our own for minis, paint supplies, and DnD campaign books!

This is a really great local game store. Very nice and clean, and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.Multiple rooms with board, book, and card games, puzzles and second hand games. They also have miniatures, painting and hobby supplies.Prices can be higher here compared to some on line stores but the great staff and cozy store more than make up for it.

This place has DnD mini singles and a very impressive range of products in stock. There are a handful of in-house DMs that run games. Check out the back room for used games. The only negative is theyre on the expensive side, BUT youre paying just a bit more to keep a local business open. I think its a fair trade off.

Amazing selection of games and accessories! They have pretty much every game and every expansion that I have ever heard of and more! The staff is very friendly, engaging, and eager to help. Went into this store on a whim after eating lunch. Coolest store Ive ever been in. I didnt even know what 90% of the games were. I still got lost for about a half hour just looking at everything. I would say if youre into anything game related, this store has it. Cant wait to take my 10 year old son there. They could charge admission just to walk around and Id pay it.

Huge selection, priced slightly more than average. Purchased $100 worth of products. Customer Service could be better. Was rudely yelled at about mask(after mandate lift), didnt have mask available. Was told owners rules, but hopefully they are not telling staff to be rude.

This place has a ton of games! And the rooms that you can rent out for a game night are freaking amazing. I just wish they would host other game nights that you dont have to rent a room for.

Tons of games and accessories for games here. The place definitely has a feel about it. From the Billboard to the back of the store, it feels a little like a Harry Potter type store. The prices were on par, and the selection was MUCH bigger than I expected from the size of the store front, but it is a very deep showroom. I will be back soon. Oh, and they require masks right now, after the loosening of protections to Level 1.

I am from out of state and wanted to find a place with DnD Dice, Magic: The Gathering cards, and unique board games. A simple search on Google Maps gave me this little gem, and it did NOT DISAPPOINT!I was greeted when I entered the establishment but left a distance for me to take everything in. After spending some time looking at dice, the gentleman at the counter came out to see if I needed any help finding things. I told him I like to find strange and unfamiliar board games, of which I already saw they had a collection of about 100. However, the gentleman points me to ANOTHER room FULL of board games that are USED, EXAMINED, REPACKAGED, and AVAILABLE FOR SALE! I WAS SO HAPPY!There must have been over 300 board games in that room. Anything from strategy to family to luck games. Im sure if you spent 15 minutes here, you would find a game you like.All in all, I spent over $100 and I feel that I got every dollar out of my purchase. I know they carry other things also and have an Escape room, but thats not for me. :)To wrap it up, GO, BROWSE, BUY!

The wandering Dragon is an amazing place to purchase all sorts of gaming items from dice, miniatures, and more. The place is beautiful on the inside, every item is neatly stacked and placed. The staff has been super friendly and are always able to help. On multiple occasions they were able to help me pick and choose what items I was trying to look for. The Wandering Dragon is a fun and friendly place to find your hobby needs!

Selection is best in area!! Probably one of the biggest board game selections I have seen. Tons of dice and other role playing accessories as well. Service is good and they know what they are talking about and provide good recommendations. Only reason it received 4 stats is because prices can be a little better on some stuff!

I really want to love this store, but price gouging leads me to having to price check literally every product I look at. Much is overvalued, even the water. Also had a poor prerelease event that wanted 11 extra dollars over competing stores to participate. Those 11 bucks get you both a smaller prize pool, and the employees running it not being available for questions during play. Its hard to ask for 36 bucks for a pre-release with 1.5 pack prize pool per head when a competing store the town over offers 2 per head at 25 bucks entry. Id feel less burned if it didnt feel like the players had to run a third of the event. Good place when the prices are fair though, nice selection. But steer clear for play, other places are cheaper, have a bigger prize pool, and are probably more involved.

This is a really awesome shop! It is a small business and has a huge variety of games and puzzles. Also, within the space is tiny bird shop owned by the same people.

Too few of these stores exist. As an avid ornithologist and DnD player this is my dream come true. Large selection of figurines for games and HUGE selection of board games. Beautiful space, clean and smooth layout.

This place has possibly the biggest selection of board games of any of the other ones cal game shops in the area. They also carry a good selection of RPG books.The owners are nice and the place is big enough that it does not feel overcrowded.Their used games section is a bit pricey, but not terribly so.The semi private game rooms are nice for RPG groups and the big room in the back for card games is large enough for a decent number of players.

Wandering Dragon is my favorite game store on the face of the Earth. Great staff, great owners. Wide selection of board games, card games, RPGs, miniatures, paints, puzzles, and gaming bits like dice and sleeves. I love going there to browse and everyone who works there is always friendly and helpful. Its also fun to see what might pop up in the Dragon Cache! Ive scored some out of print titles a few times!

EASILY the greatest nerd store Ive ever come across in my whole life. The owner was fantastic and the variety of stuff is MIND BLOWING. And any of those numb skulls who gave it a below five star rating were straight up intoxicated. COOLEST SHOP EVER!!!!

This place is amazing. Well stocked on all kinds of board games. Rooms to play privately with your friends as well space to play card or miniature games. To top that off the decor gives the impression that your about start on great fantasy adventure. I suggest that if your in the area come and see for yourself.The only reason I gave a 4 star rating is that they have a limited stocking of large scale tabletop miniature games. Although this was a bit of a disappointment to me, this place was still worth the visit ( and future visits) as gamer who’s been in the hobby for 30+ years.

I play d&d here and its awesome. The staff and owners are super friendly. My daughter plays in Pokemon tournaments here. They have an incredible inventory of new and used board/tabletop games, among many other things.

The best board game shop in America!They have 4 rooms of board games, entire library of ttrpg books for many systems, and they have an extensive collection of Warhammer minis /scenery props (also ttrpg).I have not bought a board game from Amazon in over 6 years bc of this shop!

Its a neat store with lots of interesting games. Very new to table top RPGs so it was fun to see all the variety. Have to say though the prices were much more than anticipated. We meandered about the store a bit and saw they have a few private rooms for gaming sessions too.They also have some neat things for the yard to attract and feed birds.

This place is the best! Im a novice gamer and it can be intimidating walking into a place like this, but they are always so friendly and engaging that I leave in a good mood ready to dive into whatever I got on that visit. Id give it 6 stars if I could. Supporting places like this over saving a buck or 2 on Amazon is sooooo worth it! I needed a gift for my nephews a few years back and they set me up with the perfect gift that they still play today! Thats the type of thing you dont get shopping online. GO TO THE WANDERING DRAGON!!!

Im not even into games or a gamer and I spent an hour in here the other day.Very cool place. Puzzles, bird feeders, stuffed animals and just the excitement of hearing people enjoying their games in the game rooms. Very nice decor. Friendly and knowledgeable young guy/staff. This is easily the best game/gaming store I have ever visited. The Front end of the store offers a great selection of games and gaming accessories and none of them are hard to see or hard to access. The owner of the store and his staff are all friendly and helpful. The back end of the store offers many individual rooms for gaming sessions and a large around to accommodate a larger gaming event. I, myself, had played games there and run events. The store offers a good atmosphere for doing so and it’s definitely different from many other venues in that regard. The rooms are more homey then Spartan and everything is well lit and comfortable. I would highly recommend checking out the store If you are looking for games he would not find in big box stores. Though pricing on the games is usually the MSRP price, if you are a return visit or you can safely assume you will get a 10 percent discount. The owner will also order things that you want that she may not find in the store at the time of your visit.

Absolutely love this store! All the gaming things you could need from side to figured and paint to every board game and then some! They even have an interesting selection of bird food, bird baths, wind chimes and all kinds of stuff!

THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! The private game rooms are big enough to have 8 people gaming comfortably. The selection of games, cards, dice and figurines is SO WIDE it took me forever to look through it all. The food selection is really nice too; they have a good variety of snacks and drinks. I havent done the escape rooms yet but Ive heard nothing but good things from the people I know who have done them. Definitely would recommend and definitely going back myself.

Really great experience here having a game night with cousins. Rental rate for rooms were very affordable at $5 per person for 4 hours. We had brought our own games, but their selection was so numerous and varied we tried out three new games. Had a lot of fun with all of them and had many more we wanted to try. Nice that they have drinks and snacks to put on a tab to settle at the end. Only slight downside was food from partner restaurant. It was just ok, not really the shops fault though. Just hoping for more options in the future. Overall a great way to spend an evening and I highly recommend.

The environment here is so accepting to everyone of any gender or age. My personal favorite room is the discounted game room and everything in it is marked with its history. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly!

I love this place! I find games I cant find anywhere else! I havent tried their escape room yet, but I hear its really challenging. I really like that they rent rooms out in case you dont have a place to host your tabletop RPGs. Their selection of miniatures is extensive!

Walking into the shop had a pleasant and warm feeling, and this time the associate at the counter was very welcoming and friendly. I spoke with him about honoring the discount that was given to me and without even flinching, he went forward with it with a smile.They have a very nice miniature and paint selection, and they even had the DND Books I was looking for.They also have a beautiful selection of board games as well as deck builders and if you ever go to rent a room in the back but get a little hungry/thirsty they do have a reasonable snack area in the front.I am finally changing my rating of the store from a 1 star to a 5 star! I WILL be returning to this place very soon!!!

What a great find! My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of state, looking for things to do, and stumbled across this gem. Their Rise of the Game Master escape room was top notch! We are avid Escapers and loved the game-themed room, which is only fitting that it is located in the back of a game store. Solid puzzles, encompassing theme, great atmosphere! We got out with just the two of us (dont read that as easy, we worked for it!), but I cant imagine there being more than 4 adults in that room without getting very, very cozy. Our personal Game Master was very nice and easy-going. Thanks for the last minute game!The store itself was clean, covered wall to wall, floor to ceiling with games and nerdom paraphernalia, with a wide selection of games and gaming supplies, and friendly staff. A couple side gaming rooms and lots of space in the back for tournaments. If we lived closer, this would definitely be a favorite haunt. If were ever back in the area, we will definitely swing by!

Great shop. Im from Iowa and just happened to be in the area so I stopped in. I love all the hard wood and the overall layout. Theres games everywhere. Theres no wasted space. I loved the themed game rooms in the back. Ill drive the 4 hrs it take to come here again.

This is my go-to gaming store in the southwest suburbs. The place is decorated nicely, and I like that they offer free tables in the big room in back or private rooms at $2-$5/person. They have a good selection of games in their free-to-play shelves so you can try before you buy. I also like that you get 10% back in their rewards program. The owner has always been nice to us and takes the time to make sure were making an informed decision when buying games we havent played before. Easily the best all around gaming store Ive been to outside of Chicago.

I have been shopping here for years, and will continue to do so. They have the best selection of games that I have encountered-they seem to have everything in stock. They do a great deal of organized play events that I wish I had time for as it is a beautifully decorated and well maintained place to game. I haven’t yet had a chance to try their escape room, but have heard good things. Owner is there more often than not, and he and his staff are very knowledgeable about games old and new.

Definitely the premier board game shop in the Chicagoland area. Owners are friendly and knowledgeable, and the environment is great, its not a sterile and blank looking building. Board games literally cover the walls, but in such a way that it doesnt look cluttered. You can rent rooms for $5 a head for 4 hours, which isnt a bad deal. Prices for the games themselves are $5-10 higher than youll find online, but Im willing to pay that extra little bit to support local businesses, especially ones that have as much love put into them as this one. Highly recommended.

Best game store around! Owners make it a point to get to know their clientele and their gaming interests and treat people more like friends, not just customers. The store is beautiful inside, and rooms are available for renting for private gaming sessions. They have an excellent selection of games to purchase and some open box games to play as well. And if they dont have a game in stock, theyll order it for you. Prices are a little higher than some other stores or Amazon, but its totally worth spending a few extra bucks to support a local, family-owned business, and they do run pricing specials periodically throughout the year. These folks have poured their heart and soul into this shop, and it shows. Great place to visit for your gaming needs.

Favorite gaming store I have ever frequented. Not only is it not your typically shop that does the minimum and has a cold sterile feeling, but is warm and inviting. Kevin and Laura (Owners) are always friendly and greet people by name. Huge selection of board games and willing to order in the one they may be missing.For Friday Night Magic they also seem to attract the best crowd of friendly players who are a blast to play with.

Great shop for the experienced or beginning gamer. A full selection of tabletop games and accessories to chose from. Role-playing, CCGs, board games, and more. Store offers play in private rooms or a common play area in back. If your looking for a game that is not out of print they probably have it. Prices are reasonable. You could probably save a couple bucks buying on Amazon. But those couple bucks keep places like this and the community that arise from them alive.

I stopped in once last summer while on vacation and was really impressed by the shop as well as the people. I even signed up for their email list despite being in the area maybe once every other year. I was very happy to see that the Unsale saved The Dragon and hope things only get better going forward. Looking forward to stopping into this lovely little shop again next year.If you are in the area and like games, be sure to stop in - you will not be disappointed! :)

Great store. They have anything you could need for Tabletop gaming. Which includes books, miniatures, games, paint and much more. There rooms for playing tabletop games are a great size. The employees are friendly and helpful.
