Im super happy with my experience at Hometown Furniture, my fiance and I just bought our first house and have no furniture and needed something asap. Im an interior designer at a furniture manufacturing company so I know how badly this industry has been affected by shipping delays and supply shortages. But I knew I could buy something off the floor at Hometown so thats why we went. If you order furniture these days, youll be waiting months so its great that they have the option to sell you what they have in-store. If you need a piece of furniture today and dont have time to wait months, this is the place to go, they have a decent selection considering its not the biggest store and amazing prices compared to regular retail furniture stores.We chose to have our sofa delivered and it was delivered in 4 days, at the exact time they told us theyd be there, and its still in perfect condition like it was when I picked it out in the store! Shopped around for a new living room set. Hometown Furniture had the best price plus no interest or delivery fees. Due to the pandemic the furniture took a while to get but that was expected. Furniture arrived and is exactly what we were expecting. Great customer service from start to finish. Highly recommend Hometown Furniture!!

Tried to support a small business during the pandemic; however, we were very disappointed with our experience. We ordered a dining table set with an estimated delivery date of 6-8 weeks. 8 weeks passes, and we havent heard from the store, so we followed up. They informed us something was backordered, but it should be shipping out the next week. A few weeks pass again with no communication, so we called the store again. We were then told it had actually just shipped out the week before and delivery was taking anywhere from 4 days to 4 weeks. After 4 weeks passes, we had not heard anything once again. We called the store and they said yes it did ship and delivery is taking about 6 weeks. So we waited a couple of more weeks and still had no table and no communication from the store. We called the store and they said it should be here any day, but they hadnt heard from their trucking company yet. 4 and a half months after we ordered, we finally got the call that our table set was in. A week later, we got the table delivered but not without issue. They showed up within the time slot; however, discovered they had forgotten to pack something in the truck, so they had to go back to the store and come back to our house now after our time slot. Very frustrating experience as we were told multiple different delivery times that didnt end up being true. Really, the store has no idea when something will be delivered, and they cant get updates. The customer has to be the one to initiate contact, which ends up being pointless because the store doesnt have any tracking on items you purchase from them. If we had known this when we were shopping for our table set, we would have gone somewhere that could provide more reliable information to their customers. All we got from them was a thank you for your patience and thank you for your understanding. Understand the pandemic is affecting multiple industries, but customer service could have been stronger.

We just moved and have bought a lot of furniture from a couple different stores. By far the best customer service and the products have been fantastic. I have now purchased a living room set, dining room table and a cabinet. Showroom is limited, but their online selection and pricing second to none.

Our living room and family room couches and love seats were purchased at Hometown. We also bought several LaZBoy chairs and a dresser. All the pieces are of excellent quality and I believe we paid a good price. Although the material for our couch has been discontinued, we worked with Hometown to get an ottoman for the set. Pieces usually arrive before their estimated time. Salespeople have always been professional and courteous. I also like supporting a local merchant.

I am absolutely stunned by the response I received from the sales person at this store. I ordered a table and chairs for $665 on 12/22. I never received an estimated delivery date and no contact from the store whatsoever. So today I decided to call and cancel the order as I found it for a cheaper price anyway. The response I received was to be transferred to the sales person and what happened next was outrageous. I was told that now there will be a 25% restocking fee! Never once was I informed of this and I was told that it was store policy. I told him it says nothing about a 25% fee and there were boxes on the invoice that weren’t checked nor was my signature on that area acknowledging anything. Right above customer signature was blank! His response was that Hometown Furniture can’t explain that to everyone and it’s normal. My options were to accept the 25% restocking fee or I could get myself a lawyer for $2000 and fight the fee. This to me was an extremely disgusting scare tactic to get me to accept this punishment. Russ was 100% unwilling to help with this as I’m sure it would have resulted in a loss of commission for himself and the store. Because of this I had to open a dispute with my bank since nothing was ever received nor was any contact made to me by this store. This was by far one of the worst experiences I have had purchasing furniture. It was absolutely absurd for the sales person to treat me with so much disrespect and threaten me outright with legal action. I’m very saddened and disgusted by my treatment from Russ and his combative and threatening attitude and the lack of communication from this store.

I have been ordering from Hometown for 5 years now! They are amazing and I recommend them to everyone! I have purchased 3 sectionals, two beds, bedroom set, entertainment center, kitchen table and chairs and end tables. Best prices around and customer service is second to none. Stop in and see them, I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

The folks who run this place are extremely friendly and understanding and they do their best to find you the absolute best price relative to any other major store in the Chicago area. At the end of the day youre not going to find a better price at any other store. If they can find it, they will get it for you and it will be at the best price possible

Everyone here is simply wonderful. They took their time to listen and help us figure out some things that we hadnt thought of before. They carry many different brand names of furniture. Its literally a one stop shop, and their prices are by far the best.

Love the customer service, u walk in and they greet u hello from their desks, but dont bother u till u ask for help, they carry name brands and u can customize. Just really good people and good prices!

Some kids dropped off the couch and sliced the bottom of it open while in a big hurry to unpack it. Its a sectional couch they put together, about a year after two of the pieces fell into place while my friend was sitting in it ao it obviously wasnt put together properly. Just buy your couch online for cheaper without sales tax and unpack it with someone you know, your better off.

When they have the tent sales you can find a good bargain

Shopped recently at a sale they were having. TV Stand, coffee table, two end tables. When delivered they forgot one end table, the coffee table was used, damaged, filthy and they made huge mess assembling the TV Stand. TV stand had parts not lined up right. Doors would not close, dragging on the shelf below it. Just looked horrible. The only positive is that my refund check cleared within 24 hours.

I just recently stumbled onto this local furniture store here in town. I was overly amazed that they carry such an array of brand named pieces at such low prices. I eventually made a decision and picked out a few pieces for our new addition to our home. The people there are really relaxed yet helpful. A huge contrast to the big box store with the barely knowledgeable commission chasing sales people that seem to only want to have anything to do with you if they feel you are a SALE.. Once our furniture was delivered to our home, we noticed there was minor damage to one of the sofas. I called the store and instead of being pushed aside or given some other number to call, they jumped right in and within a week we had our sofa repaired without headache & worry. I will surely be recommending Hometown to all my friends & family.Im positive we will be back when we start on our family room makeover.
