It was great!! I loved taking my two granddaughters in to select books. It was fun watching them browse through the wonderful childrens department. Thank you!!

I have bought books from Barnes & Noble for years. They can get you a book in a timely manner. The service is great!

Yay for books! The customer service and supervisor where very generous to honor a coupon when circumstances had previously changed. They truly put the customer first and did the right thing even though they didnt have to.

Nice selection of books for all age groups. Love browsing through clearance for books for my grand children. Erg

The guy was super nice who checked me out and they had a great deal going on; I got 4 books for $30! Only downside is that theyre facing a bag shortage and I had to carry my book stack around for the rest of my trip which makes some things a little more difficult. Still loved the trip though!!

Its time to put the furniture/chairs back in so people can sit down and relax when theyre reading/studying. They took all of the benches and comfortable chairs out at the start of the pandemic and it doesnt seem like they have any plans on returning them. The cafe is also closed with seemingly no timeline on when it is to reopen. Why did Paul Singer buy the company if hes going to run it into the ground? Why not invest in it and make it the best bookstore in the world? I just do not understand the business strategy or the pathway for success. Its disappointing because it could be great.

It was a very pleasant experience. The associate who assisted me was very helpful in showing me different games and books. The cashier was very patient and pleasant as well. I had a gift card and she had no troublelooking it up for me.

This is a great place to visit, almost like the library except you can buy the books! They actually have more than books, games, puzzles a lot of amazing things! Please visit you may become addicted 🙏 ✨.

Great place if you like being oppressed and brain washed! No mask orders in this area yet they require masks. My family was told to leave if we wouldnt wear a mask even though we have a religious exception! They clearly dont care about all thier customers only a select group. This is a violation of ADA and civil rights acts! I will be contacting my attorney.

The cafe there had rude kids working and she gave me a half a cup of foam with my cappuccino I paid $5 for a half a cup of cappuccino.

The store was very clean when entering, the Starbucks is a great feature if your have an SO that likes to drink coffee while you browse the many selection of books ranges from all ages. The store even has a select range of toys as well or activities for all ages.

It shouldnt be required to drive over an hour to get to a bookstore and then be ignored by the associates working there. Until you get to checkout. Was there 4 hours with my family, 5 people total passed several associates and none offered help or even said hi, excuse me, please move nothing. It was as if we werent even there until they saw money and then the cashier was more than helpful to ensure the sale. Upon coming home we looked up the books on Amazon and we would have saved 62% on our purchases. Guess thatswhy they cant keep more stores open. Bad customer service + exorbitant prices= the internet will shut this store down too. Though I doubt the Corp. Cares anyway.

So the hours are inaccurate. They close at 8pm. Not 9pm. Sure wouldve been nice to know this before driving a half hour to get there as they were closing.

Couldnt find a book to give to my sister as a gift so I called B&N and they had it. I was able to complete my transaction and pick up the book literally within 5 mins of calling and placing the order. Book was in excellent condition and staff was professional, helpful, and kind. I cant wait to come back and next time find a new read for me!!

Staff was super helpful trying to track down what I was looking for. They called 2 other stores to find it for me.

New management...nothing like previous workers...not helpful, very quick to be Rude...weve been dedicated return customer for 3 years. The new management let it be known this year is gonna be DIFFERENT...no special help...so our $1500.00 purchase is not wanted!!! Is it cause of COLOR?!?!

I live in Terre Haute and do not have a bookstore equivalent to Barnes & Noble. I am a history buff and love the variety!

We stopped here cause my daughter received a Starbucks gift card and wanted a coffee while we shopped around Metropolis. Even though there is a Starbucks in barnes and noble, they not accept Starbucks gift cards.

Have a great selection of vinyls, only problem i had was the Starbucks inside. My drink had chunks of what was the consistency of curdled milk.

On Friday, August 21, after the store just opened, I had a passive-aggressive experience from the staff at this B&N and it was obvious on why I did. As I was waiting for my SUV to be repaired at a nearby garage, I visited B&N to look around and I eventually bought something. But, as I walked up to the Information desk in the middle of the store, the employee, with a terse tone asked, what are you looking for? I stated that I was looking for the audio/visual section; he pointed to where they were located. I went over to a display that had CDs & DVDs and looked around (not only was the location changed from the last time I visited, but some B&Ns have ceased even having a section). After watching me for several minutes, he walked over to me and again with a terse tone, pointed to the other sections that had more items. After finding a DVD that I was going to buy, I looked for others within the same subject matter (the NASA missions, especially to the moon). Then, I noticed the woman that was working the Cafe counter came over to the section and began to hover and watch me, pretending to clean and straighten up when there was nothing to clean nor put back in its place. After observing this for several minutes, there was another customer that was in the same area and she barely noticed him; however, she eventually came up to me and wanted to know what I was looking for. While she did assist me (they had no more of the subject in-store but would have to order it), I went to the front and purchased the DVD. After I walked out the store, I walked back in to address the woman working at the Cafe. I mentioned to her that I felt she was watching me in the CD/DVD area; she insisted that this was her area that she was responsible for and apologized that I felt that way...Considering that I was the only African-American in the store explains the attitude and behavior...The store nor Corporate has responded to this complaint, and I dont expect them to (not that it would make a difference if they did)...

A Book Lovers Palace. It has comfort for the body, a helpful staff for the temperament, and books aplenty for the mind. It helped that I got there early. They had both books I was looking for in stock.

The staff are very friendly. They have a couple of comfy chairs and you can check out books before you buy them. I wish more book stores in the area would have a seating area. When I visited I had to laugh to myself because apparently a customer was giving the clerk all kinds of trouble over the phone. But he took it like a champ. I hope his day improved.

Post your new hours online so that people who travel to your location because it is the only one open dont get there thinking they have a couple of hours to browse, and then get told they have to leave.

Love this place. It is one of the few bookstores left after Amazon has forced almost everything closed. We are very happy to support this place anytime we can. It is a fun place to browed, it is super clean, had very friendly staff, a coffee shop, and of course every type of book and accessories you can imagine. Please support Barnes $ Nobels if you appreciate books!

A store for book lovers of all ages! (And for coffee lovers too - theres a Starbucks inside!) Employees are friendly and helpful and their selection of books and magazines is unrivaled. I love their childrens area in the back of the store; theres a little stage and chairs and benches so kids can put on a show! This store is inside the beautiful Perry Crossing outdoor mall with tons of shopping and good food. Come check it out for yourself!

I always feel at peace here. Kind staff, good coffee, and the ability to peruse books and nerd stuff at my leisure.

I have a nook(two actually) but it is still nice to look through real books. This Barnes & Noble is very nice and clean. There is plenty of space between the aisles and they have plenty of cozy chairs yup look through the books youve selected. The staff is always pleasant and helpful without being overly intrusive and annoying. I do get the feeling they truly love selling books.

Was looking to add a Blu-ray disc to my movie collection. Best Buy claimed to have it at a lower price, but they couldnt locate it. Barnes and Noble had it at a higher price, but located it immediately. It was delivered to their store a day earlier than expected by a day. I completed my collection! I could say I wished Barnes and Noble wouldve priced match, but Im just grateful for their help.

I love this place and it has a very nice atmosphere

Calm atmosphere with a little bit of everything for everyone. Lines are smooth and efficient. Staff offered help. Plus, the in-store Starbucks is friendly and has many tasty treats.

I love this place. The selection of books is huge, and they also have educational toys, games, and music. All of the employees I have encountered are wonderful, but one woman in particular is awesome. She works in the childrens section and always has suggestions that turn out to be great.

Its good to look but the price is too much

I was disappointed to see a fourth of the store was a toy and novelty store now. Also, i enjoy books, and Barnes and Noble has always been too expensive for my liking.

I forever pray bookstores can resist the soaring flight that is Amazon, because theres something great about having the book in hand to look through when youre looking for something altogether new to read. Plus theres awesome journals and coffee table books that youd never find otherwise.

Such a great places to leisurely browse through magazines and books. This is particularly nice, perhaps due to it being a newer facility or perhaps its just keep nicer. Either way we tend to visit this one when were are in the area.

The gentleman who helped me find the category of books I was looking for was new. He pointed me into a direction he thought, and went to go ask another employee. I didnt expect him to come back but he did and took me right to it. He also offered to look up what they had online as well. Very well taken care of as a customer, he didnt even try to sell me any trinkets or addons like at the register. Spent more time saying no to things I didnt need than to process the actual purchase.

Everyone is so willing to help when ever you need something. But are also willing to step away from you when you don’t need them.

Nice selection of books and games

I went in to buy a magazine that had an article written by a relative. It took a short time to find the magazine. I went to the checkout at clerk changeover time. I told the person who checked me out why I was buying the magazine. She takes the same one, and said she would read the article when she got home. I do not normally go to this store. It was a pleasant, quick experience.

Really enjoyed the store. Loved the coffee shop and my favorite things include the magazines and leadership books.

Have you ever walked into somewhere and you know that thats what heaven is? The smell hits you and you know, youre home. You can find ANYTHING here. I mean not EVERYTHING, but just about every subject. I get my cookbooks from here so my boyfriend takes me often so I cook more. I dont even care. This has been my favorite place since I was little.

Whats not to love about a bookstore? It is clean, welkept and the staff is friendly and helpful. They also have a Starbucks inside as well so you can buy a book and read it while hanging out with a good cup of coffee.

Nice place

This is 1 of my favorite places to buy journals and books. I found 3 very nice journals today.. The line for the register was a little long, there was only 1 cashier, a couple minutes later another register was opened. The employees are very nice and helpful.

This is one of the few good bookstores left that is anywhere near this location. The store has a great selection, and I can always find a good deal on something interesting. Theres a Starbucks, as well as a decent media section with DVDs and Cds, and a few stocked magazine racks. The game section always has something unexpected as well. Ill definitely be coming back again!

Love this place. And, they had the book I was searching for.

Barnes was always second tier, after BORDERS, but since borders has been closed for a lonnng while, Barnes is the place to go if you want a physical book. I have a membership and go enough during the year that it pays for itself and more. Dont get the membership if youre a casual reader because the cost per year is low for it, youll just be wasting that money if you dont go that often.

Quiet and nice place. Youll be able to find what you want or order it to pick up latter.
