There were 5 of us, including a 6-yr old, a 17-month old, and me with my cane. We were seated in the perfect spot for my group and drink orders were quickly taken. The food was delicious and filling; I even took part of my meal home and had it for dinner.The atmosphere and decor are family friendly.There is handicapped parking and easy access to enter the restaurant.I will definitely go back again.. and again.. and again
A good decent diner, price is affordable and service is good.Update: 2/05/21 - Here for breakfast again, the service is even better than the last time. The steak was surprisingly good. It is better than the low end steak from famous steak house. This price is so affordable. Earn another star from me.
Omelette was hard as a rock after I asked that is not be overcooked. Also they charge an additional Service Fee that is added to your bill without explanation. I left a good tip even though my waitress never came back to ask if everything was fine and the coffee was weak. I have eaten there before but this was my last time. Dennys is better!!!And nobody goes to Dennys.....
Edit 9/5/21When my daughter walked through the door Sandy asked her how many way in our group and walked away from her it was not until 5 mins later when John came up to us that we got seated right away ( Thank You John) when I asked him what took so long he was not sure. I asked our waitress ( Marci ) who the other lady was that my daughter spoke with first she gave me her name as Sandy over heard her name she decided to come over tho the table when I asked her what happen she spoke in a very nasty tone and started walking away from the table when I said something to her about her not caring about the customer and her attitude showing that because she didnt care enough to have a conversation about it and she needed to change her attitude. Sandy needs to know it is never appropriate to be disrespectful to your customersMarci on the other had did a great job I very pleased very attentive to us even tho by the time we left the place was getting packed as I heard her run around the place she was very respectful to all of her patrons and You should be happy to have her as an employee.
3 rounded over plates of food, 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, and a tip for $30! No where in Florida can 3 people eat for $30!! Omelette is very juicy, home fries needs butter, plenty of grits, bacon cook to perfection. Didnt appreciate the ice cold coffee when its suppose to be hot coffee.
As a server myself it takes a lot to write a bad review but they deserve it. If you cant do your job stay home no customer ever deserves to see a server walking away shaking their head because I didnt want to sit at a uncomfortable table or booth covered in Sun, Im trying to spend my money at small businesses, not so much anymore. SMH disturbing

The food was delicious. I had breakfast. Eggs were cooked perfectly. My favorite was the pancakes. They did not taste like they were made at a chain restaurant. The staff was so friendly with a great sense of humor. I was there around 11 am on a Friday.

The food was good. Took over 2hours cause the sever was horrible. Staff took forever to get us our drinks. Couldnt get orders right. Missing stuff from the orders. We were a party of 9. Had 2 tables. Will try again.

I wanted to love it, but I wont be back. Firstly, I will say I was provided good service. The short glass of OJ was over priced at almost $3. The breakfast food we ordered was nothing to be desired. The eggs were cooked well, but the home fries, chicken fried steak, and gravy were all very bland. I dont normally add salt to my food, but had to in order to create some taste. It all looked so good, but just tasted terrible. Sadly, I wont be back. I was really hoping it would be great. It just wasnt.
This place has been here for a bit. Your basic breakfast and lunch food at a fair price. Nothing stands out from here. Just very basic. Booth or table seating- small bar seating in front. Wait staff is nice and the place is clean. Nice place for lunch. Expect to spend around $15 with tip.

I came in and almost are closing time on Sunday. This is my first visit and the staff was courteous and helpful. The food was good and the prices are reasonable.

Love the place. You have got to try the Mexican omelet. Used to go there quite often when we lived in Pinellas County but now we are in Pasco County and only can stop in when were down that way.
It is always refreshing to go to the Egg Platter. We enjoy food there all the times and take friends and family! Highly recommend:)

Just ate there for the last time ever! Finish my whole plate of food except for hash browns and dump them into the to go box and see a big black hair on my plate that was there underneath my food the whole time! I tell them at the front counter and all I get is oh so sorry about that. Still charged me full price!

I ordered the Mexican Omelet,l w/egg whites, all my veggies well done before in the Omelet (including jalapenos)....its was delicious! Honestly one of the best omelets Ive had! The chef puts salsa on top, I got a massive amount of potatoes with it...didnt touch it cause the omelet was soooooo good. Service was good and the food came out fast. Havent been in here in such a long time but will definitely revisit soon!
A classic restaurant with which I grew up with, stayed mostly to how I remembered it. I ordered the sirloin steak which came with onion rings, a salad, applesauce, and rice pudding.The salad was good, plenty of variety in its tomato, green pepper, onion and cucumber, the Italian dressing was nothing special. The onion rings were good, not super crunchy, but tasty. The applesauce was as you expect, great, and it was a good finisher. The steak was a little over cooked than what I asked and it wasnt very well seasoned, but it was juicy and had a good taste that I preferred it without sauce. I didnt try the rice pudding but it did look appealing.It helded upto my memories and expectations, Im glad to see it back as it was gone for a little while and Im going to visit again.

I really like this place and the wait staff are wonderful. Its always crowded but little to no wait. Its good home made food only you dont have to cook and its clean and local. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you cant go wrong here.

Food look good but havent tasted it yet..Was gonna leave a tip after I called my order in but when I received my order I didnt get toast.I told the waitress she proceeded to grab the toast with no glove after she been taking Customers order so I told her nevermind and the reason why..She didnt offer to put any on or offer to wash her hands..then the other lady Kathy was cashing me out and she asked the waitress if I got my toast.She told Cathy I said I didnt want it.I said yes I didnt want it because you wasnt wearing gloves she also said ok..wow really..Covid-19 is running rapid and no one is wearing gloves or washing hands

This wonderful family business has daily specials, a nice variety of meals to choose from, and an amazing wait staff!They take their social distancing and mask wearing seriously, so you wont have to worry about you or your familys health being compromised.Located on hwy 19 (34th street) in St Petersburg, close to 275 and only 15 minutes from our beautiful beaches, this restaurant is ideally placed. Its far enough from the beach to not be crazily overpriced like many tourist traps, but close enough that you dont feel as if you have to take away time from your day just for a long drive.I recommend getting their coffee and one of their many omelettes. Both are top notch (definitely try the Philly!) and you will leave happy and full.

Ive been going to Egg Platter for years now and up until my last two visits the service and food was great. But a couple months ago when I went with my friend Bonnie service was slower then the seven year itch food was ok but not what I remembered from years past and it was always a regular stop for me. Today I went there with another friend. It took forever to get sitted and when we did the server ask about drinks I order iced lemon water and decaf coffee. My friend and I sat there for 15 mins and no drinks yet. Our server had disappeared we asked several others about our drinks with no response and even a manager 3 times after 20 minutes we left. Mind you they were not busy every customer in there had drinks and food and there was at least 5 servers on duty. This is a place now that I will never recommend or even go back too. There are to many other places way better such as..... Trips Dinner in St. Pete or Seminole, Busy Bee in Pinellas Park or Skyway on 4th street in St. Pete. Stay away from Egg Platter please.
