Zero stars if it was an option.Substandard product and even worse customer service. We had a 3rd party vendor (Euroclad Windows) of theirs in Kelowna, BC Canada sell us and install a 20’x8’ multi-slide window system. This was actually recommended to us by the vendor, not quite sure how looking back. This system has caused nothing but problems from day one. It does look good, but that’s where it stops.Upon first inspection by us during construction of the new build, The windows hardly slid and they wouldn’t lock. During construction and shortly after move-in, the installer had to come back 4 times to try and address the issue. It was never even close to addressed; usually they just slapped some lubricant on it. Needless to say a brand new product shouldn’t need that so soon. We now have third party opinions that there is excessive friction and the frame is misaligned from improper install or faulty product. Soon enough after each visit, the windows wouldn’t slide properly again. My wife has been unable to even open the windows at points.Once a tech was there, and wanted to film me opening and closing it. I had to pull so hard to close it, it finally let go, and ripped the fixed pane right out of the screws attaching it to the frame.Eventually, after about 7 months after move-in, the sill (bottom track) warped and lifted right off the subfloor, leaving it beyond repair.Long story short, this product didn’t even last us one year, in both function and parts.Western has done ZERO to help us. Infact, we can’t even get ahold of them. I’ve emailed many times, called many times, left voicemail etc. to no avail. The third party installer tried to say they aren’t making the vinyl multi-slides anymore after such a short time. We said that is not our problem, install an aluminum system then at your cost. They have only offered to replace the sill, and we said if this doesn’t address the sliding issue (main function of the windows) as well, then this is unacceptable. They even offered to refund the system, however won’t fully uninstall it. They just grab the window panes, and leave the frame installed and a giant hole in our house. It’s going to cost us $6k in a reno job to go this route, plus the added cost of similar window systems that have since gone up in price. So much for a 10 year warranty, when you can’t even have it replaced and restored back to intended working form and condition.DO NOT touch this company, I’m not sure how theyre even in business still.

Theyre dedicated to their craft, I dont think anyone walking in will doubt that, but they talk big a game about being non judgemental (my words not theirs), friendly, and ACCEPTING.... Ill let you judge that yourself because that was not my experience with them personally.

This company is based out of Phoenix. While our hospitals are overflowing with coronavirus victims and our teachers are petrified to return to work, this company is forcing employees to work in offices when the work can be done remotely. Dozens of employees have caught coronavirus and the company has not provided any type of meaningful response or instituted any kind of work from home policy. Please do not do business with them.

We had 2 sliding glass doors installed less than 2 years ago. The sliding glass doors both work flawlessly. Our problem is with the handles, screen door hardware, and sill plate. Our handles both started rusting within the first year. Rainbow glass and mirror in Maui took care of the first handle within a couple months. Now we have been waiting since January to have our screen door wheels replaced, (they have rusted through the aluminum frame) the second handle replaced, and Western Windows is also supposed to be supplying a new stainless track guide for the screen door. The wheels on the screen door have eaten into the aluminum frame completely. For more than $16,000 dollars for two doors installed and a ten year warranty I hoped for more durability and better warranty service. Local installation company put the blame on Western Windows not following through with the replacement parts. Id appreciate it if Western Windows would contact me directly. Im tired of the run around and just want my doors fixed properly.

I am an architect and a builder. I ordered three six figure 7000 series window packages. Terrible product. Terrible craftsmanship. Terrible handling of orders. The windows are not square, hinges are not attached to doors, install is a nightmare.

This company is requiring all employees to still work in the office despite 30 confirmed covid 19 cases in the workplace. The employees lives are being put at risk as well as their familys lives all to make money. It seems their products are poorly made and installed based on reading the reviews. Avoid this company unless you want covid.Update now over 40 people have Covid. I wonder if their insurance companies know what a law suit this is going to be?

Edited: We were disappointed with the doors we ordered from Western’s new simulated steel line, which had thick stiles and looked nothing like the simulated steel sketches in the brochure. David Stearns from Western went above and beyond to make sure our concerns were taken care of. One star for the doors and five stars for David.

Strongly suggest you avoid this company. Clearly great at merchandising their product, but the final outcome does not live up to the standards they advertise. We purchased a $9,000 pivot door (first mistake) which look great as advertised. Their relationship with the local distributor was dysfunctional at best (AVI in Nashville). The door arrived two month after committed (delaying our overall construction) and upon arrival was defective (pivot point top to bottom was off by one inch). Had to be reordered and reshipped and took another month. Weve been in our house for 6 months and have repeated problems with the seal on the bottom (being replaced for second time), and found the locking mechanism impossible to operate. Reached out to WWS and they told us to work with the local distributor (Again, AVI who is terrible). They can feel free to reach out to us at btim21459@gmail, but likely they will post an apologetic retort and make no effort to correct our situation.

Well... just when we finally thought our Western Window Systems problems were about to be solved, we now find out that one of the trapezoid windows in the kitchen was fabricated backwards. This is now 3 windows in our project that have to be reordered. Oh, and did I mention that in spite of all the issues being on Western Windows side, they are unwilling to rush production of replacement units. For something as custom/expensive as these windows are, youd think there would be better quality control and certainly better customer service when addressing problems. Not impressed... We ordered tens of thousands of dollars worth of windows and after windows came out with issues locals reps have not been responsive for months.*****Reached out to WWS via FB following Lauras reply to my review, but nobody contacted me.**** 5/23/19***Heather whos a local rep came out to see the situation after the 3rd installer crew attempted to fix all issues. Hopefully WWS can expedite remaking one of the window frames that was completely missized by a local dealer. Currently the project has been delayed 10-12 weeks due to window issues; hopefully the new window frame will arrive soon so that the entire construction wouldnt be set back in the schedule any further.

Quite possible the most disgusting purchase experience I have ever had to go through, mitigated only by the partner that has to deal with these people on our behalf. It took these Muppets two years to replace our damaged panels.. panels damaged within a month of being installed as The outside frame/glass interface wasnt sealed. Basically water hitting the window wall would run down the wall enter the outside of the frame, hit the metal track under the window pane then wick back along the track and up the inside of the fir cladding. After 20 months of complaints and trying to get these idiots to own up they finally agreed to replace our window wall panels, they informed us that they had now changed the locking mechanism and asked us to measure (even though they had all the measurements on file) the locking mechanism so they could ensure that the locking mechanism trued up. Alarm bells are ringing right..Did so, provided pictures.. 3 months later almost 2 years to the day the thing was first installed new panels are installed and the lock doesnt line up and we cant lock our house now.Our installer has been superb through this entire process, Im not mentioning their name anywhere here as they have been nothing but helpful and accommodating and all our other windows they installed at the same time have had no issues. I also dread to think how much time and energy they have wasted trying to deal with these idiots at Western Windows..Id say if you live in the desert or your window wall is going to be completely under cover and no chance of getting wet then great.. the wall itself looks fabulous from both inside and out.. the build quality looks amazing will certainly make your house look really nice.. but god help you if you need the window to actually be functional and stop rain or secure your house.. I guess build quality is secondary to build look in this case. Steer clear.. thats almost 15K and two years of my life I wont ever get back..I could go on ad nauseum here as to the communication and lack of ownership and number of ways the company tried to weasel their way out of this from stating installation instructions included information on sealing the window pane yourself (they dont) (and who the hell buys a window you have to seal.. isnt that manufacturing) we put in 14 Millgard windows at the same time and none of them have had any issues whatsoever.. no additional sealing no anything just installed done thanks very much....I waited to see what the final job looked like when they replaced the panels before doing the review.. but that they couldnt even get the locking mechanism right and now our home isnt secure just sent me over the edge.. so yeah this review is written at a time of personal angst and should be taken with a pinch of salt but if you summarize:We Purchased 2600 Series Wood Clad Window Wall System2 years for a warranty replacement identified within 6 weeks of product fail.2 years for a replacement that doesnt fit properly on installConstant finger pointing and trying to absolve ownershipNever bothering to come onsite to see the issuesNot responding to mandated requests in a documented timelineandA product that just wasnt and likely isnt built properly..it was time to voice and hopefully help someone else avoid.. If you chose Western and live anywhere that has any sort of water falling from the sky (so 99% of the planet) cross your fingers! If this is what American Manufacturing will become when it all moves home .. then id suggest leaving it all in China!
