Since moving to the valley 8 years ago, I’ve been coming to Dr. Gong’s office and continue to be very happy with her expertise, her staff and the entire operation. I have keratoconus (a condition where the cornea bulges outwards with a cone shape) and the treatment is custom fitted rigid gas permeable contacts. Dr. Gong does an amazing job fitting me for my lenses- I can’t see much without them - and her staff and friendly, knowledgeable and caring. Shout out to Karen, office coordinator, she’s the best! She makes you feel heard and is so helpful. Highly recommend!

I used to be a customer of desert view vision North. Their office combined with Accent Eye Care.I recently purchased a pair of sunglasses and with not happy with them for multiple reasons. The customer service provided to turn my first experience around wowd me and I was totally satisfied with the choices and final outcome. In addition, I messed up and came on the wrong day for an appointment and they were able to accommodate so that I did not have to make another trip.I am happy with the care provided at this location and will continue being a happy customer . Staff is awesome.

Dr. Gong and her staff are amazing! My daughter loves working with Sam. My daughter is very smart and intelligent, but seemed to be struggling with reading. As a mom I knew something was not right. I took my daughter to my optometrist and said her vision was fine (20/20). I took here to an eye specialist and I was told that she did have a weak eye, but that there was no need for therapy. Then, my daughters friends mom told us about Dr. Gong and how amazing she is. I took my daughter to Dr. Gong and the service was much better than the other specialists office. Dr. Gong diagnosed my daughter and recommended vision therapy to strengthen her eyes and reading skills. Vision therapy has had such a positive impact on my daughter. I never would have thought that vision therapy would help improve reading skills (tracking and eye strengthening). My daughter has been scoring 100% on her reading comprehension tests since starting therapy, and she reads faster, too. Everyone in the office is kind and caring.

5 stars is not enough to describe the care my son received at Accent Eye Care. Every employee went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and they are each experts in their specialty. My son had a concussion in 2018 that gave him headaches and double vision. The double vision was so extreme he could not read/write for months and his pain was uncontrollable. Accent Eye Care used gently techniques for vision therapy, so his headaches would not increase, but also treated the problem. Every visit felt like visiting family. Front desk staff always welcomed us with smiles and knew our names. MD Gong took time with us and explained all results in detail. Our therapist, Dodi was empathetic and encouraging. My family was blessed to find such experts during a difficult time in our lives. My son is completely healed and I truly believe his eyes are stronger than before the concussion. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

My daughter has been going to Accent and we are very pleased with the service. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I would recommend them to everyone.

My husband had a huge sliver of metal in his eye. They got it out quickly and whr so amazing! Great care friendly and so professional. Also we have no insurance and the cost was less than I had expected. They took great care of us and we are now customers for life!

I gave 1 STAR because Karen is very nice. BAD COMMUNICATION FROM THIS OFFICE!!! will definitely be seeking a new office next year. And the bad part is i came over with Dr Meier’s group.

I am forever grateful to Dr Gong, my vision therapist Sam, Karen, and everyone I got to see/work with at Accent Eye Care and Sports Vision Therapy over the past year.I was rear ended in a bad accident in August 2018. I was treated by a neurologist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and other health professionals for my injuries. After two months of persistent double vision, and the sense that my vision was worsening despite all of the therapy, my OT referred me to Dr Gong. The office staff was helpful and caring when I scheduled my evaluation, and took time to ensure I felt comfortable with the evaluation process (four hours of testing the first visit, followed by results two days later). I was able to fill out the detailed intake forms and submit my insurance information at home.When I met with Dr Gong and team for my results, we found that I had lost vision in my left eye as my right eye had moved vertically in the accident. A treatment plan was outlined for me, with a vision checkup (retest) every 8 weeks. I asked if Dr Gong thought my vision issues would improve through therapy, or if I needed glasses. This is where I was won over: she explained to me that she believed my sight would come back if I worked hard, and to save the money and hold off on glasses as a last resort. I appreciated her frank advice!I started vision therapy with Sam, and loved working with her. Sam, and the whole office, was very attuned to my needs, and extremely supportive through my journey.I’ve seen a couple reviews bemoaning the cost of vision therapy, and would like to note that I would have paid any amount of money to get my vision and independence back. Eye health is so important — at 33 years old it was worth the investment in my eyesight to save thousands down the road with life-limiting vision problems. Additionally, the office informed me of all costs and options up front. They truly want people to understand before they commit.It took a year but I am happy to report I’m back to 20/20 vision in both eyes, and NO glasses! All of my symptoms (headaches, double vision, blurry vision, difficulty reading, etc) have greatly improved.I would not have been able to make a full recovery of my sight without Dr Gong, Sam, and team. Further, Karen and the entire staff were a highlight of my week because they truly cared and treated me like family.I highly recommend Accent Eye Care and Sports Vision therapy for all of your needs.

I absolutely love this office! I wish my doctors office was as professional, organized and aa friendly as this office. Dr Gong is amazing! The front desk staff greet me by name every time i have gone there and they are super friendly. The techs there are so professional and friendly you can tell they have great moral there. I definitely recommend this office to everyone. I drive from the east valley to go there and i wont change.

I happened upon Accent Eye Care in a roundabout way! I had been to several very good doctors looking for better eye sight but could not find the right combination of skill and patience in a doctor. I have been a patient of Dr. Gong for more than two years now. After the many attempts I went through with other doctors, Dr. Gong found a manufacturer that makes lenses that are both comfortable and provide good vision for my condition. But that is only half the story! What is even more important is that Dr Gong and her staff are an absolute joy to work with. She and her staff are very professional and warm at the same time - I am always greeted with a warm smile and caring disposition. I highly recommend Accent Eye Care for not only for a highly skilled doctor, but also, a great experience.Bill

I have tried other eye doctor offices and no others come close in comparison. Contact fitting for me is a challenge, and I have tried another contact specialist but I wasted my money. After several fits from the other doctor, it still felt like putting broken glass in my eyes.Dr. Gong and her staff are amazing! She is able to get me a perfect, comfortable fit where no others can. I know why my eye surgeon sent me to her, telling me she is by far the best there is!!

Not a great experience twice. I should have asked about their protocols with this covid19 situation. Good at check in available wipes. Terrible on the rooms you go to different rooms and no disinfecting after another person was using the same things. Saw a nice dr. Then at the end the main dr comes in looks at the chart asked if am not doing dilation then says lets walk to see if there is a therapist available. Leaves me at reception (where if you look on their web they supposedly have many receptionists) after about 40 minutes I get help just to find out I need to schedule the therapist another day. So basically she led me to the reception to check out with out even telling me. Next time in with therapist (by the way awesome therapist wish she would work at another place, since I wont go there again) I timed my check out which was 50 minutes. And this are just some of the main things.

Dr. Gong and her team do an incredible job or diagnosing and recommending exactly what you need to keep your eyesight clear so you can avoid headaches and vision problems. They have all the most current, expensive equipment to make certain they get it right. They offer corrective therapies and even have their own eyeglass center where they make some types of lens on site in under an hour. Dr. Gong is very down to earth, personable, and a specialist in her field. Its great knowing this 5 star team is there when I need them. I get my vision checked annually and I am never disappointed. A couple years ago, I was given some great news, my vision actually improved and I needed a less intensive eyeglass. Surprise, surprise - she said it sometimes happens!

Ive been wearing glasses since I was 6 years old and have been to many places for exams but this place is by far the most comprehensive and caring. I love the fact that the staff examining my eyes were perfectionists ensuring I recieved a contact prescription that was a perfect fit. They clearly informed me of my insurance allowance for glasses so choosing a set of frames was easy and quick. I will be returning for all of my future eye care needs.

I was pleased with the service and attention received at Accent. This is my second time returning and I will continue to use them. I was seen by an intern (sorry I do not recall his name) but he conducted a thorough examination along with the tech who managed a few of the tests, too. It seems they keep up with modern technology as I was given a few tests with some of the newer equipment. Dr. Gong came in at the end to ask if I had any questions and I had none.I would recommend Accent Eye Care.

Dr. Gong and her staff take very good care of our family. They are friendly, professional, and communicate well. Especially when it comes to eye care for our young children, I appreciate Dr. Gongs expertise as a doctor, patience, and how she puts kids at ease.We moved further away but still make the longer trip to this office because of the high quality of care we receive.Also, there are lots of frames to choose from at reasonable prices, and Tiffany, the optician is very helpful in picking frames that are flattering. Sometimes it is difficult to choose frames when you cant see them well without your glasses, but she helps guide you to a pair that will be fashionable and fit well.I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Gongs office has always exhibited the highest standards of courteous, professional and accurate medical eye service for me and my family. A recent detached retina event was promptly acted on and resulted in saving my vision in one eye. Dr. Gong swifely diagnosed the issue and referred me to the appropriate opthomologist for surgery. The staff also at Dr. Gongs office has always been helpful in explaining the various options and directions for further treatment. Highly recommended.

Dr. Gong and her wonderful staff have provided my vision care for the past 2 years. I have never had a more thorough exam, nor a more caring practitioner! It is clear Dr. Gong is passionate about providing her patients the best possible care. This philosophy trickles down to her staff as well; the customer service is incredible! The people at this facility are incredibly kind and helpful. They were also able to get me an appointment within a few days from initially calling and the equipment seems to be all state-of-art. Full eye exam required dilation.The only con was there was a lack of follow through. I was inquired by the initial prep-examiner if it would be okay if the lead intern could start the eye exam and the optometrist would come in towards the end of the eye exam. I was okay with that, but I didnt see an optometrist.Also with the glasses I was told emphatically it would take less than 2 weeks. It took 3 weeks, which isnt a big deal, but I had to call 2-3 times since no one was following through on calling me back. Example- The glasses shouldve arrived today, but they will be in tomorrow and I will call you tomorrow when their ready to be picked up. (Tuesday) I didnt receive a phone call so I called 3 days later (Friday) and they said they got in today and theyre ready to be picked up. Again, not a big deal, but someone out there might be interested into the details of this type of information.Again all very nice people.

Took my six year old daughter in for an eye exam and everyone working there were very patient and made her feel very comfortable. I was told everything that was going on in full detail and they were very thorough with her examine. thank you

I am so very fortunate to have found Dr Gongs office. I was experiencing a vast array of symptoms following a brain injury sustained in a car accident. I was so overwhelmed with the depth and breadth of my injury and from the moment I called to set up an appointment I was reassured, I had found the right place. Their leading-edge technology identified my deficiencies and allowed the therapies to be specific for my needs. Extraordinary information is revealed in their assessment process. Alaina conducted my therapies and was masterful, empathic, compassionate and specific. We have been able to track my progress and continually adjust to meet my needs. I cannot say enough. I am so appreciative of Dr Gong and her amazing staff. Truly a God send.

I was referred to Dr. Gong after a sudden shift in my vision. My original optometrist thought I just needed a new prescription for contacts; however, my vision never changes in a matter of 5 months so I sought out second, third, and many more opinions as the change in my vision was so drastic it was painful and impacted my day to day activities.My vision went from mediocre, not horrible, to so terrible I refused to drive in just that short time.I was extremely skeptical of vision therapy and truthfully almost didn’t do it.After a few months of working with Dr. Gong’s team, I’ve made a significant improvement in my vision and am so grateful for her and her staff. I cannot thank them enough. I’ve not yet completed my therapy but thus far, their work has been life changing.

Dr. Gong is great along with her rotating residency students under her. She clearly is teaching them correctly on how to treat/diagnose patients. Ive had two full eye exams here and was satisfied each time. I would recommend her to my family and friends. Staff is friendly and accomadating as well.

I am so thankful we were referred to Dr. Gongs office by a teacher at my sons school. She diagnosed a significant vision issue in our son that we were completely unaware of. Through lenses and vision therapy, his progress has been incredible. Everyone at the office goes above and beyond to be of help.

At Accent Eye Care you walk into a professional yet welcoming office.....and the same can be said for the staff. Dr. Gong asks questions and listens to yours. The diagnostic equipment is state of the art. I believe this extremely important especially now since I am categorized as a senior citizen with increased risks for vision issues.

I’d like to express my sincere gratitude to Karen for her compassion and understanding. Although I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gong’s for many years, I’ve never had a serious vision problem until suffering a concussion in December of 2018. The level of care and genuine concern for my well-being from Dr. Gong, Karen, Samantha and all staff has been outstanding. I’d like to note that when I first started vision therapy I was extremely confused and quite emotional due to the injury, many medical offices would just do the minimum and be happy to see the emotional patient leave. Definitely not the case at Accent! Karen has on many occasions taken time out of her busy day to speak with me about my ongoing symptoms, progress and treatment options. I feel that I’m genuinely supported by Karen and the rest of the office staff which is comforting and very much appreciated. I can’t thank Karen enough for introducing me to Dr. Norman Doidge’s writing which helped me understand my condition and the road to recovery. I have to say that I’ve learned more about the brain and its healing process through my discussions with Dr. Gong, Karen and reading Dr. Doidge’s books than from my treating neurologist.Thank you as always for the outstanding, above and beyond care and compassion. Went here about a year ago. I had an appointment but still had to wait 30 minutes to be seen by an intern who was rushing the exam. When I received my glasses the prescription didnt seem right. I was told I would get used to it. Well sure I got used to it but that doesnt make it right. Just got an exam else where and they had my left eye over powered and my right eye under powered. Not to mention the prices here are outrageous. After insurance covered about 70% of the cost I still paid over 300 out of pocket.I would not recommend going here.

Amazing, caring staff! I am so pleased with the therapy services my son receives. I love how friendly the front office is. Dr. Gong is thorough and truly cares about her patients wellbeing. The assistants that work with my son are supportive and dedicated. I am so grateful to Dr. Watson for referring me to this office. I drive 45 mintues every week to bring my son, it is worth it!

Everyone is rude and talks down on you and doesnt communicate anything then acts like its your fault. If it wasnt for the fact that I need dr gong I would never come here again. TERRIBLE SERVICE

Where do I begin with the excellent care and service from Dr. GONG, her Interns that she mentors (Brett) and the crew , her whole staff are Exceptional . I have been going to her for over a year and this year my eye condition went south and we are not talking Mexico by the beach, anyway she and her staff have been caring and restoring my eyes to were they were they use to be. HANDS down this is the best medical facility to provide the best care to the Windows to our souls, which would be our eyes for those of you who dont get that phrase. Considering all that I have gone through there no other Doctor that I would entrust my eyes to.She and her whole staff are Bona fide simply the best..

Been coming here for years and they are the best! One of the few businesses that truly appreciates the customer and goes above and beyond to provide great service and quality eyewear. The eye doctor was very friendly but the prices of the glasses are freaking ridiculous. I got the cheapest that I could find which were $200 and wasnt even name brand (covered by insurance, but still). My glasses broke in two weeks after my toddler threw them off my face onto the carpet. My glasses also took two weeks to come. Not worth the money, find someone else.

Dr. Gongs staff worked hard to earn my daughters cooperation and were very patient with her when she refused to look straight ahead because she did not care for the bright light shining in her eye or the sudden puff of air that blew in her eye. People please call your insurance company before you do Vision Therapy with this office.My son needed vision therapy fir his right eye. His first two visits were covered completely by my insurance. The last five or so therapy sessions after were not. I have never had a problem with my insurance covering anything but the claims kept getting denied. I cancelled the remaining therapy sessions I had planned until the billing was sorted out with my insurance. Turns out they were being denied because my insurance stated that I needed to do 12 weeks of home base therapy and show little to no improvement before he could step into the office and get therapy from a Profesional. The front office did not state this at any time during our visits. Also Regarding HIPPA......The lady, Karen, has no problem stating your business to the entire waiting room. Very unprofessional.So call your insurance. They wont do their jobs trying to understand what your insurance covers, thats why that ask you to front the money for so many sessions.I would like to add, the therapist my son was awesome! Very patient and very understanding. Never had a problem with the Dr either. She was very nurturing. The front office could definitely use an overhaul. Its sad that this is how a Dr office is managed.

For anyone who has vision problems, this is the place for you!My son wore glasses but needed to strengthen his eyes. Dr. Gong prescribed vision therapy and now he has 20/20 vision.Ive worn glasses and/or contacts for the past 53 years, lived in three countries and there is know one I trust more than Dr. Gong. After several rounds of RK and an injury to my eye Dr. Gong was able to restore my vision.

You seriously questioning if I was ever a patient. I have been a patient for near 10 years!

My son and I have been patients of this clinic for 2 years. NOTHING has ever gone smoothly either year. They are seriously overpriced and painful to work with. They will not own their mistakes (sons 1st year perscription was incorrect). All of our appointments were completed by soon to graduate INTERNS with Dr. Gong popping in for 2 minutes to review and approve their work - gotta hope you are getting the best in class - but how do you know? I will NEVER return to this office and highly recommend others look elsewhere for their eyecare needs.

I dont know if Dr. Gong is not aware of how the records and billing part of the office is run, but its a mess. They screwed up my bill and I spend hours trying to get everything straightened out, to no avail. When we went through the details together, I pointed out that, based on their own records, the bill didnt make sense. They said that they would research the problem and call me back, but would forget to do so. They also said that they would talk to Dr Gong about the problem and call me back, but that never happened, either. Horrible, horrible service.
