This place is amazing. Gets right to the point on what needs repaired, prioritizes my fixes for me and told me what my options were. If they arent the best bang for your buck, theyll tell you. Everybody in the building is incredibly knowledgeable about everything theyre doing! Highly recommend this place.

Had my truck for 13 day to change a master cylinder the floor. Truck went in with a brake problem no check engine light come out with check engine light. They quoted me 580 and then changed to qoute to over a 1000. Brakes do work well. They left the filthy paper mat in the truck paper mat in the truck now I have an old tuck and its messy but bad customer service. Had high hopes I mean its Aamco they are well known company

I did not have a good experience when I came to this particular shop located on Black canyon highway Im not sure if its a certain way other individuals get treated but my experience the times that I have been there has been very unsatisfying, the manager is rude when he is having a bad day but the way the work that is being done is unacceptable, and they charge for labor spent that was not devoted to fixing your vehicle. I had to file complaints on this shop but since the manager stated something different then my complaint was not valid because obviously the customer is not right. I read other other reviews stating that the manager and their experience was wonderful and I am grateful that they had that experience but in my case every time that I went there this was not the case I had to go to another shop to have a my car fixed after they stated that it was nothing that they can do after taking my money and not ornery their warranty. I was cursed out by the manager and called out my name over the phone I guess he figured that I was below the age of respect because he was upset for whatever was going on in his life. But I am old enough to have a audio file of the manager cursing me out and talking to me in a very disrespectful way when it came to me asking about a vehicle that was within his shop, if you have a good experience that is good for you enjoy your day

Wendel and his team are fabulous! A transmission warning light came on while driving over from San Diego, they did a detailed inspection and explained everything in detail allowing me to make an informed decision. I left there feeling reassured all was ok with car, and they did not charge me for their time. Totally trustworthy and highly recommend them for your mechanical needs.

This location does not honor the appointment times set. Ive got a warranty on my AC unit which was over 2000.00 dollars. Now I having issues and my man took the car in for a 9am appt and he sat there for 2 hours when a older man came in 20mins after him and did not have an appointment and that man got serviced before my car!!! I called to find out why that happened and the guy Wendell dismissed me and hung up meanwhile my man witnessed all of this and said there wasnt a lot of people in front of him like he said. It was the guy that was helped before me only. Not to mention theyve had my brothers car for 2mos and still havent fixed it!! SMH. Ive called and left multiple messages with the corporate office and only received a voicemail once. Ive left more messages with the customer service Supervisor and he still hasnt called me. Meanwhile the location didnt even look at the issue. They looked at other stuff we werent there for. I will never use Aamco again. I will use Mikes on Longview and Indian School. At least he is honest and fair at pricing who honors warranties.

Wendell is an incredible guy! Hes positive and easy to talk to. When he explained the issue with my car, he made it easy to understand and answered all my questions.Chewy the store mascot dog greeted me at the door like a gentleman. Hes a lovely German Shepherd Dog whos super sweet.

Gabby and Lalo were very helpful and took care of my issue with my truck right away with a friendly mannerism.

Feb 21: The owner, Wendel, is highly knowledgeable about transmissions and other car components. If he doesnt know something he is willing to spend whatever time it takes to get a difinitive answer. I originally met Wendel a couple of years ago after my wifes cars transmission imploded. It was previously rebuilt by a shop in St. Charles, MO that only offered a local warranty. We had it rebuilt then drove it to Phoenix (her job changed) and made it about sixty miles away. Wendell and company were able to quickly identity that the previous shop had installed the pressure plates backwards. I now come here for all maintenance and repairs. Also, Wendell has a German Shepherd dog, Chewy, who is a calm and happy dog. Come to get your car fixed and hang out with Chewy.March 21: Had front rear lower control arms, fuel pump, and a couple of headlights replaced. Hung out with Chewy... Love that furry guy.To amend my first review, almost all repairs, Wendel doesnt have a tire shop... So for tires & wheels, he is happy to give you a referral.

Started off a bit rocky but in the end I am happy with the outcome. Monty went above and beyond when it came to me telling him I had a camping trip coming up. They made sure everything was in tip top working order with my transmission rebuild and my vehicle did great towing the whole time!

I have taken my wifes car here not for transmission issues but for overheating issues that I had been trying to fix myself for about a month with little success I took my wifes truck to them and they got it done with in 3 days mainly because they were super backed up this has to have been maybe last year some time but never the less I was having overheating problems with my car this time and yes I had been trying to fix it for the the past couple of weeks again with little success I brought it to the team here and they got it done with in the day like I was schocked how quickly they identified the issues and recommended a fix and applied it successfully the manager Wendel was great very very knowledgeable man and the team well theyre experts in thire field very very happy with the service, time and most of all the cost and they have more than one way to pay, easy pay, snap or you can apply for there credit card. I will definitely be using them again and highly highly recommend them for anyone that is having car problems 😁

Do NOT go here. They have had our car for THREE months. Always an excuse from Monty the so called manager. High turn over as we were told guys quitting left and right and no one qualified to fix our suv. This is completely crazy. As a family of 6 we need two cars! Oh and the only reason we went here was because the first time they fixed the transmission it broke again because of their poor quality of a fix. Run as fast as you can from this location. Never again!

Update to my prior review wish I could give them less than a 1. I clearly explained how much I was willing to spend to fix my transmission. Because I had a 2003 Saturn ION they took it on two test drives told me there is a problem with transmission. Something I already knew. I clearly asked how much for a new transmission before they tear it apart. I got no price. I was told I would save money by refurbished parts. My girlfriend said refurbished parts mean they would break down later. She was told not so. I was under assumption they could fix my transmission with refurbished parts for 1,500 dollars. Unknowingly to me they tear my transmission apart at 800+ dollars then tell me my car cant be refurbished and to fix it would be 4k. Now my car is at AAMCO broken worst then I drove it in. I must find a tow truck to take car to junk yard and still pay AAMCO 800+ dollars.

If you are expecting to get phone calls from this place, you will be waiting forever because Monty doesnt make phone calls. You must call him if you want ANY information. My stepsons transmission went out in his car a month and a half ago. I called around to see who could install another one for the least amount of money and in the least amount of time. Monty told me he would do it for $1100.00 if I got him the transmission and he could do it immediately. He sent a tow truck to pick it up and I called him the next day to make sure he got it which he did. He told me he would check it out and get back with me. A week later I had heard nothing from him so I called him. He told me that he had a few cars ahead of us (contrary to what he had previously told me). About two weeks later I called again because I still hadnt heard from him. He told me he needed me to come to the shop to sign some paperwork giving him authorization to look at it (I had already given him verbal authorization to pull the transmission to see what was wrong with it). When he finally got the transmission pulled, I called him to see what was wrong with it. He told me that someone had taken out the wrong bolt and the transmission was trashed as a result. I drove over to look at it and he had given me information about the wrong transmission, (ours hadnt even been disassembled yet). It turned out that the transmission really was trash, but had not had the wrong bolt removed. (They never could tell me what was wrong with the transmission, I asked and was told I dont know. I got him another transmission,as well as a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and flywheel (ours I was told had several cracks in it, (I found one crack) and was also told that the clutch was trash, but it still had LOTS of life left in it). A month and a half later, he finally got our car back together. He nickel and dimed me to death when it came to the installation and a bill that I was told would be no more than $1100.00 turned out to be $1550.00. When he made a copy of my stepsons drivers license, he forgot to give it back to him. Instead of taking 5 minutes out of his day to make a simple phone call to us to let us know about HIS mistake, he let my stepson think he had lost it until he finally decided to call over there and see if it was there. They did good work as far as we can tell, but customer service at this facility SUCKS!!!

Before going to this location, I read a bunch negative reviews. I thought I should avoid AAMCO especially at this location. However, I went there and took my 4runner for an inspection. My first encounter was with Monty. His customer service was excellent. When I was sitting there, I was thinking about a big bill and a list of items that needed to be fixed. In contrary to my perception based on the negative reviews, they were really honest about their work. Their offer for the repair was much more reasonable than many other repair shops in the area. They were quick to finish the work on my car...very professional. A big thank you to Monty and his mechanics.

I had my 2007 Corvette automatic transmission rebuilt at this location. It was completed within little over a week for a reasonable price. I was referred to AAMCO after my transmission started to have problems. I had my transmission rebuilt and I could not have had a better experience. With the rebuild I received a warranty for parts and service and a free inspection after ten days to ensure everything was running smoothly. The staff were extremely friendly, communicated with me every step of the way and gave me multiple options to choose from for the rebuild at different price ranges. They made sure I understood what was wrong with my car and what to expect after it had been fixed.

I went to AAMCO for the first time looking for affordable a/c service for my BMW. I experienced great customer service from Monty Richards, who is the manager. I was treated not like a customer, but a friend and they got right down to business on what my car needed. My experience here with the office manager Monty was EXCEPTIONAL!! Very Genuine and friendly place. What another mechanic at a different location diagnosed as a failed a/c compressor, Aamco diagnosed as a small pinched a/c wire that was very simple to fix. Stopped in to get an A/C check done. The manager Monty was there to help me out. Got the car in and inspected in a timely manner. They do know what they are talking about when it comes to repairs. I highly recommend stopping in and getting your vehicle inspected before any major problems happen.

Was quoted $3,800 by Monty only to have the final total balloon to close to $5,000. Furthermore I even provided my own filter and fluid and was appalled to see that I was charged for parts I provided (close to $500)!!! After scrabbling to get the money together I left the shop and experienced the exact same problem they claimed to have fixed...not even a mile/5 minutes from the shop! Now they have my car back in the shop and have received no status updates but expecting another monster invoice as this wouldnt be a proper auto repair nightmare without it. The least they could do is offer me a rental.

Wendell is a good guy. The work and price was good. When I got home I noticed grease on my hood. It looked like they used dirty water to wipe down my fenders and hood. I didn’t go there for a car wash but to have my transmission serviced. Wendell said that he has his guys clean up their mess. My question is why don’t they use gender covers.

Wendell is amazing!!! These guys are just simply the nicest people you will ever meet. They basically rebuilt my whole car for under 5k. The go the extra mile every time! Just today my car completely died and they stayed after hours just to look at it and get it fixed to have me back on the rode again! I love these guys like family and will only go here for all my car needs!

I dropped my car off Monday for them to look at. Called every day to see what was wrong they never gave me an answer. Want to pick it up Friday then comes to find out they never even looked at my car.

Went to transmission serviced. And turned into a big mistake. To top it paid for serviced and the guy behind desk. Didnt even have change he had to write me a check for my change .went to deposit the check in my bank account .the check bounced. How sad is that.

This was my second repair with AAMCO. The shop fixed things that another car repair place had cut corners on which caused my car to need additional work done. Wendell is always upfront with the estimate and communicates with the customer every step in the process. They currently have a C rating and its going to be getting worse. this business is a ripoff, they will tell you a price for an estimate to fix your car, then while your car is apart, they will charge you double to put it back together while holding your car hostage until you pay. Go to an honest, more reputable mechanic.

Had the transmisson rebuilt . switched out the alternator and fan belt an stuff . they did a really good job thanks to the mechanic Jeff & Monty for helping us out for the billings and prices . and great customer service .would highly recommend⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hunter and Wendell are awesome. I took my car in due to the check engine light being on. The repairs needed ended up being way more than I could afford. They had payment options and even when that didnt work they were able to get me all of the paperwork I needed to request a waiver thru the state. I turned out to be a very needy customer but they were awesome and helped me the entire time. Cant say thanks enough , I just found my new mechanic!

I have to write this post in hopes to help any others. I took my car here about 2 months ago with a problem with my car shutting off and shacking when I turn my car on, and when I picked it up today (2 months later AND $3,000 charged, it still has the same exact problem. I paid $3,000 dollars to have my car in their shop for 2 months to only leave with it having the same exact problem. That was a waste of time if I am going to be completely honest to have my car in this shop to only leave with it having the same problem and on top of that be charged. $3,000 dollars. They couldn’t even offer to give my money back or some money back since nothing changed. I am stuck with more finances and still a broken car which is not right. That is not professional, and definitely not how you keep long term customers. On top of that, they do not call you with updates are call you back at all when they say they will, they don’t keep their word. It’s not a good business. I started off liking this company due to the customer service skills that monte has but that only turned out to be vain due to what was fixed in the end, which was nothing, and a charge of $3,000 dollars. I do not recommend this place for repairs. At least reimburse for what you can do and show that you guys have some type of care. Thank you.

I was told I needed new rotors and pads for my vehicle with a cost of $999.00 I went to another service mechanic who told me I didnt need new rotors, resurfaced my old ones replaced my pads and changed my brake fluid for $490.00 it saved me $500.00 I will not be going to this place again

This was the second time I brought different cars to this AAMCO.A very friendly and helpful group and my vehicles were fixed and in a timely manner. They also provided transportation so I could get home and back to pick up my car. Very satisfied

Requested a quote for transmission service and was denied because I had my own parts that was required to be replaced in my transmission and because of their policies they are refusing to work with anyone unless they fully purchase the parts and service it scamming people from as low as $1,150 to $2,200 without tax

We have a mechanic who comes to the house and does our car work, however we came to AAMCO and Wendel for a second opinion and I am so glad we did! He was willing to work with us to get the transmission fixed and is still working with us to fix the timing belt so my 2004 Chrysler Concorde LXI is back in working condition with no worries. I am going to start coming to these guys for all my car needs. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible. I have never worked with a company willing to do what it takes to get a car fixed. If you have ANY issues this is where you should go. If every AAMCO works like Wendel and his group then I will use them forever. My husband does not necessarily praise anyone, he is a born cynic and doesnt trust anyone but himself but he is touting Wendel and his crew all over town. Thank you guys for all that you do and you have no idea how much we appreciate it!

I came to this Aamco from San Diego after a desert trip that was hell with the AC not working. Wendel, a stand up, honest to god, straight shooting owner and service writer that straight up told me all that he knew and all the possibilities that could be more expensive before charging $1. In the end, it was his integrity that sold me (and should sell you) on having him make sure my drive back was without sweat. Sure enough, one of the potentialities existed and just as sure, his remedies of tricking my car to blow cold gave me the comfort I paid for. In summary, if you want honest, complete, and thorough work done on your car, this is the place; Wendel IS the Man that you CAN TRUST and WILL STAND BY HIS WORD when it comes to whatever you need or want done on your car. I brought my car to get a second opinion after picking my car up from community tire and they surprised me of what they found my car was never was toch community tires just reset it aaaco transmission was so friendly and and humble and wanted to tell me how they can help me fix the situations they really seem like they care .

I wish I had read the reviews on this place in regards to being a dishonest business. I have never wrote a review on a business before but I feel obligated to warn potential customers to go to another business....they will cheat you if they feel they can get away with it. Im not a mechanic so I was a great target for them to scam. I am out over $3,000 closer to $4,000 in repairs and I had no choice to tow my vehicle out of there because I made the trip to their shop to pick up my car and I sat and waited for my vehicle to be brought out but the guy came back about 15 minutes later and told me theres still more repairs that are needing to be done and it could cost over $1,000 more! I traveled over 150 miles to pick up my car because they said it was ready and that was a lie! I towed my car to a shop in Winslow and he fixed the starter and put in battery for 400.00 and the car started but wouldnt move and he said the transmission is not working. I called Aamco to tell them what happened and I asked if they could fix the transmission since i paid for a warranty and the car is running now....but he said my warranty is expired. i feel so violated and scammed. They are very dishonest and they should not be operating a business like this....they need to be shut down. The corporate office for Aamco should realize hes damaging the companys name.

I have been taking my 2002 Ford Taurus to them since 2015. The staff has been very friendly and answers any question I might have. I have some ability and knowledge of cars, I wouldnt go anywhere else, nor would I recommend anyone else. They are knowledgeable, informative, and straight with their customers. They dont try to milk the customers and are honest about whats necessary and you can let go until you can afford it. In my opinion, the owner owes these guys lunch at a bare minimum. They are friendly, professional, and I cant stress this too much, they are straight up and honest with the customer.If it wasnt for Wendel and the rest of the AAmco staff, I dont know what I would have done about my transmission.
