The best staff, value , worth driving all the way from Scottsdale to Velo Bike Shop, all was done in 10 minutes while I was waiting, bringing them two more bikes for repair, special gratitude to Tommy , nick name (MacToob} he was wonderful, thanks for all.

This is the third time Ive taken my E-bike to be serviced there. Tommy did a great job, I know these bikes arent easy to work on, but he even said to make sure he works on it next time which made me feel welcome back. Thanks Tommy.

Truly great shop. I’ve been in a few times and the employees are soooo helpful. They even helped me seat the bead on my tubeless tires because I didn’t have a compressor at home. Very knowledgeable on quality components and always happy to give you their recommendation with no sales pressure. My go-to for any future bike needs.

I called about 10 shops in Phoenix needing help with a warranty claim and a very fast turnaround while visiting from out of state. They came through where others failed with great, friendly service. Not even my original point of sale but treated me like my local shop.

Solid group of dudes working there when I was in. Very friendly and helpful, answered many questions and explained the work that needed to be done. Nate took care of me and went the extra mile to make sure I was getting exactly what I needed to get my new tires on the road.

Well the experience wasnt too bad they helpfulness was great but the lack of organic organization is another thing

They are very nice and helpful. I bought my first pair of biking shoes and locking pedals here and Nick was very helpful. He taught me how to use them and he even held up the bike for me while I practiced clipping and unclipping the shoes to the pedals. He put the pedals on for me and even did a quick check of the bike. Thanks to his quick lesson I was able to ride home safely and easily.

Regroup at the Summit and again at the bathrooms. Bunch Ride again North on Central back to The Velo. Return pace can be Spirited! Donuts provided. Coffee, Cambucha and other refreshments available for purchase in the Coffee shop. Allways a Great Time! You get back what you put in to it!

Super nice guys. The shop was clean and organized. They added my pedals I bought from somewhere else at no charge when I picked up my bike. Definitely recommend them.

Garbage customer service. Dropped off my bike employee said they’d give me a call in a day or two. Didn’t hear from them... called a week later and he said it’d be done day after tomorrow. Went to pick it up and my bike still hadn’t been touched. Do NOT take your bike here for a tune up.

Thomas was excellent, fast, professional, courteous. Had new tubes installed in less that 5 mins! And helped me with a stem issue too! A+++++ Definitely go here!

I honestly had high hopes for this bike shop. I brought my bike in on Monday and asked for some help with a tune up, a new seat, and a helmet and if it was possible for under $200. The person that was helping me was very friendly and made the experience great, but didnt seem to listen to my needs for the bike to fixed up and be able to ride. He promised me that it would be finished by Friday, but when I came in today it seemed that the bike was untouched and that the order had not been placed for a full tuneup in the invoice. The confusing part is that I guess I was confused with another customer and called on Thursday stating that the bike would be finished by the end of the day (Thursday) or Friday, hence why I came in today. Honestly, all of the employees were super nice; however, it seemed they were not listening to me with what I needed and I was instead offered items that were unnecessary and did not offer a transparent experience. When I brought up that I was called yesterday, the initial response was dismissive, until I brought up that I had a previous conversation with a specific employee. The expectation was not lived up to with this bike shop for me and the service was nice upfront, but seemed to not be the most truthful experience. I asked for my bike back to walk back home, because at this point it was not worth the money to spend at this point. Upon walking out the service manager asked me if they could put on tubes, but I insisted that I do not need the service. As I was walking out, another employee said that theyll hook me up next time when I have the money/budget. I appreciate this, but looking back on it, it seems a little condescending.

I took my e bike to them for a simple brake adjustment and the guy working on it took off the back tire and rim and he couldnt put back on he beat on it for over an hour Finley got back on and it was good to go i took out side and it wouldnt go the guy told me it wasnt his problem he ended up causing alot of damage called the shop they acted like they new. Nothing the bike is not running

Everyone I’ve talked to or worked with here have just been amazing!! Super friendly, very helpful! Makes you feel really important from the moment you walk in. It’s little things like the effort they take to know your name. The second time I walked in the shop (after just browsing the first), they greeted me by name! I love how they took the time to go over all my options and got me setup with my dream bike!! I really appreciate how meticulous they are as well- when my bike came from the factory, they could’ve easily slapped it together and walked it out the door, but they went through and ensured the cables were perfect and everything operated as smooth as possible! I definitely recommend them! Trusting all my bikes to them for maintenance and for all my future purchases!!

As someone brand new into cycling, this shop made me feel absolutely comfortable with the whole process. Im not going to lie, I was a little intimidated going in there as Id never even been on a road bike before. I was 90% sure I would just fall over the moment I hopped up onto that tiny seat. Instead I found a bunch of employees who filled my head with awesome knowledge and built me into an excited cycling enthusiast. Highly recommend this LBS.

Great shop with an excellent selection of bikes. Customer service was top notch!!! Jace did an outstanding job making sure I had everything I needed along with the purchase of my new bike. Even more he explained they offered a free tune up with the purchase of the bike. Something I did not know but was definately a bonus. I only gave it three stars because there wasnt a huge variety of bikes imo. Mountain bikes seem to be the main thing there. Also, I did not utilize their bike repair service, and for allI know its amazing.

UPDATE: The manager called me and offered to put on the correct brake and apologized for my experience. They did a great job the second time around and were very pleasant. Don’t be afraid to speak up if they hand you back something you’re not satisfied with!Original Review:Probably great service for all the fancy new bikes you see in there, but not the best for vintage bikes. They don’t seem too concerned about preserving the bike’s integrity. I needed a cantilever brake replaced on the front of my vintage mountain bike, and the work order ticket even specified “cantilever”, but they ended up putting a v-brake on it that’s totally different and is extremely hard to open for quick release. I called and they gave me guidance on how to open it, but it takes me about 3 minutes to get it open whereas before it was instant. Also, the new brake pads snag on the wheel rim on every rotation and make an annoying noise, which means they weren’t properly adjusted. I’m not happy with the work they did and kinda wish I had taken the time to DIY instead.When I initially went in, the first guy who spoke to me was hurried and condescending, but he passed me off to a more chill mechanic. There are plenty of nice guys that work here, but they just don’t seem very stoked to be there. I have been in before for quick adjustments and got the same weird vibe. I only go back to the Velo because it’s in my neighborhood, but this was the last time. :(

These guys do impeccable work. Ive brought two bikes to them thus far; great workmanship. Both bikes were not in good working condition when I brought them in. Utilizing there basic tune-up service, both bikes ride perfectly and shift like butter. Also they hooked it up on the PRICE!! Both bikes were fixed for under $100. New chain, break cable, balancing, lube. etc! PLEASE CHECK THESE GUYS OUT!!! You will not be disappointed!

Most bike shops turn their noses up if you roll in a bike that costs less than $2k. These guys don’t do that. 5 stars

Took my Cannondale Mountain Bike in for a tune-up as I was having trouble shifting as it was slipping and skipping gears. Just 24 hours later, they texted to say my bike was shifting properly and I could come pick it up. And best part, they only charged me for a derailleur fix and not the full tune-up. Loved the honesty and they have a new customer now!!

Went into The Velo today with my girlfriend and had a great experience. Top notch service and at no point did I feel like they were trying to sell me merchandise I did not need. The owner and his employees are incredibly friendly and I recommend this bike store to everyone! 5 stars plus!

Velo bike shop is fantastic. The bikes they sell run the gamut but primarily cater to upper-end selection, meaning the bike you get will be of high quality. The shop has a super modern, aesthetic design with a connecting espresso shop to match it. The staff are all active and experienced riders so theyre knowledgeable and happy to provide advice (from bike selections to pedal stroke technique!). Jason is one of the best guys you could buy a bike from. Hes knowledgable, honest, and fun to talk with. I went in to buy a bike and he personally took me out on several test rides to make sure I picked the one that was best for me. Great experience. The coffee and artwork is good too!

I sat and watch an employee go from one of the bike boys to a complete employee of the month material. He went straight to treating the child like he was the only one in the room whos opinion mattered and the child was ecstatic.

Made two visits to this place today. First visit was to get a new set of headset bearings, the guys there were super knowledgable and I was in and out of there. Second visit was to get my back tire fixed/replaced. The guys made some recommendations and were very nice, helpful and personable. The best part was when one of the guys opened up a box of chocolate covered strawberries and shared them with the other employees and myself! Good times! To sum it up; theyre fast, friendly and very fairly priced when it comes to replacement parts. RECOMMENDED!

Best bike shop Ive used in a long time. Very honest staff... not only are they very knowledgable about their craft but they will also give you an honest assessment of what you need based on your situation. On two separate occasions theyve given me much more than what I paid for and theyve been very kind & helpful. Shops like this help to build community. Its a valuable resource to have.The kombucha bar attached on the east wing of the shop is also a great place to chill and the staff there are also super friendly. One of the best spots in downtown Phoenix.

Went to The Velo for the first time this week. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I dropped my mountain bike off for suspension maintenance. Colton took great care of me. He kept me updated on the status of my bike and made me feel like I was top priority. When I picked up my bike, Colton took the time to explain everything he did and made sure my suspension was dialed in. I really appreciated the quality of service I received and highly recommend The Velo.

Came in to this shop with a derailleur issue on my mountain bike and the guy made a quick adjustment which fixed my problem, didnt charge me for it. Also brought my road bike in for a tune up and it rides great!! Good guys and great shop!!

Had my bike assembled here to preserve the warranty. These guys are really friendly and do good work and give great advice on components. Will go back when Im ready to upgrade my fork.

Walked in after my bike fell off my bike rack while driving from out of state. Freaked out that I might have just trashed my bike I walked in and when I asked for help one of the employees stopped his lunch break to come out and help. Thank goodness my panic was for not and all I needed was to get a quick fix but I walked out with the best service I have yet to get at any bike shop Ive ever shopped at. Not sure what the dudes name was but thanks man! The entire staff seemed friendly and the shop had a lot of great gear that I got to check out while I waited. From an out of towney, much appreciated!
