I was invited to Giselle by russian. A very nice theatre which transported for me somewhat a gone Russian area with classical architecture. Seats and view to stage was very well and a relaxed audience. Very impressive was the arrangement on the stage in conjunction with a great lighting. Finally I have to stress a wonderful performance of the ballett dancers. Even as a less expirienced visitor you could see high level Ballet.

Worth watching any one show. I watched the ballet sleeping beauty. You can buy tickets online with seat selection even from your own country before arriving in Russia. I did and I didnt have to stand in queue at the ticket counter. Plus, with advanced booking, I was able to select a decent seat near to the stage (if you buy late, only distant seats or costliest seats may remain for sale - Ballet is all about visuals and seat selection is most important.) The opera hall is gorgeous, though not allowed to take photos. Do wear your best dress underneath your warm clothing (if visiting in winter). Nice arrangements for security and cloak room.

This is one of my favourite theaters! Anytime being in Novosibirsk, I try to visit it. Perfect orchestra and ballet dancers, as well as opera singers. I do recommend the theater to everyone.(The tickets are available online).

We went to watch Big Waltz The music was great indeed! And the theater was georgeous! We purchased the cheapest seats (600rubles per peson) but it still gave us a really nice and close view of the stage! Plus the staff were fluent in English, and when we asked where our seats were, one male staff memeber walked us to our seats. We felt so much kindness of Russia! Thank you!

The chairs are comfortable. We sat in the middle rows of the stalls - you can see everything.During the intermission, you can not only visit the buffet, which is not very expensive by the way, but also enjoy the exposition of theatrical costumes, as well as get acquainted with the history of the theater and the construction of the building.We watched Tosca. Fascinating scenery. Special thanks for them. I liked everything: the orchestra, the work of the actors, the costumes, the sound.The theater left only pleasant impressions.
НОВАТ - это безусловно наша гордость! Ни одна постановка ещё не привела к разочарованию, только восторг и авации. Шикарные декорации и костюмы, мастерство на высоком уровне.Если говорить о самом театре и о комфорте для зрителя, то сравнивая с такими мастодонтами, как Александринский театр или Мариинский, предпочтение отдам нашему НОВАТу. И это было для меня удивлением. Здесь супер комфортно, не душно, 3 часа представления пролетают на одном дыхании.

Im not a cultural person who is awake yet, so I didnt watch ballet because I thought I would just yawnI only looked at the outside of the building because it was a landmark. I was passing through and finally got inside. We went to the Spartak ballet. We thought it would be hard to see, but the seats are very correctly located, which can be seen from anywhere in the auditorium. The performances are gorgeous. During the intermission, you can admire costumes from other productions in the aisles. On the 3rd floor there are models and dolls, I liked it very much. The staff is polite, courteous (but masks are insistently asked not to take off during seating).
I am convinced that NOVAT is the best opera and ballet theater in the country! Wonderful performances - in a few days I was able to see 2 ballets by P. Tchaikovsky and listen to the opera The Barber of Seville - only convinced of the highest professionalism of the artists, musicians, and the entire staff of the theater! Excellent acoustics, very beautiful internal and external architecture of the theater ...And, unlike the Bolshoi and the Mariinsky, prices are very affordable here, therefore, people with modest incomes can watch the performances, and this is very important: high art should be accessible to everyone ...In general, NOVAT is a diamond in the constellation of the best cultural institutions of our country! In 2005, a reconstruction was made, after which NOVAT became the most modern equipped theater in our country.Located in the center of Novosibirsk, it is one of its symbols and invariably ranks 1st in popularity among photographic objects in the capital of Siberia.The main structure of the building is a huge dome with a diameter of 60 meters and a height of 35 meters. The design is unique: it supports itself without buttresses, trusses or columns. The average thickness of the dome is 8 cm. That is, the ratio of the thickness of the dome to its diameter is 1/750, which is 3 times less than that of a chicken egg (the ratio of the thickness of the shell of a chicken egg to the diameter is 1/250)! At the time of construction, it was the largest dome of this type in the world. But only one cash desk works for card payments, all the rest - cash payments! I find it very inconvenient.

Being on business trips, so far only 2 performances _ Spartacus on January 28 with Anna Zharova and on Romeo and Juliet on August 3 with Ekaterina Likhova.
