I would first like to point out that I have not picked up my order yet. It is scheduled for a date in the future. However when I went there on Saturday 10/16/21, I was greeted by Megan who had to give me the best customer service Ive ever received from U-Haul. I have a SUV with a class 1 hitch (not your standard class 3 hitch) and was worried if certain things would fit or not. She got me a tape measure, we went out to my car and measured, she had me back up my car to the trailer and even connected it for me just to see how it will fit when the time comes for me to pick it up. She did all of this just to put my concerns at ease and did it all with a smile on her face. Seriously OUTSTANDING customer service. I hope this company realizes the type of employee they have here...

Pick up was a nightmare! I ordered it online as a mobile pickup. However, upon arrival the truck was blocked in by other trucks and the key was not in the lockbox. The facility was closed so we waited until we saw a man who was moving another truck that appeared to work there. I went to talk with him and I cant even begin to tell you how incredibly RUDE and NOT helpful this man was. His name was John and he had a shirt on that read general manager - I have been to this location a handful of time and never once received good service but this was by far the worst ever! If this is how management acts towards customers, I can see why the employees are trained to act towards customers. So frustrating!

I booked and paid for a hitch install online. Was contacted by staff and left a message stating I was double booked and the parts were not in stock. After 1.5 hours on the phone with multiple staff (including one that refused to let me speak to a supervisor) attempting to get a refund, a supervisor said the parts were in stock and they could do the install after all. Once the install was completed, the same employee who initially lied about them not being able to do the work forgot three of the seven items I paid for until I asked where they were. Terrible customer service and lying employees. No help from the off site customer service reps until the bosses got involved. Second horrible experience with Uhaul in a year. Filed a formal complaint with the company.

I rented a truck for a move to Sedona. While driving back from Sedona the truck began to sound like the transmission was going to drop out and the engine light came on and I was scared to drive it back to Phoenix. I sat on hold with roadside assistance for over an hour with no response. My friends that lived in the area drove over to help me and another of them called road side assistance also...on hold. We attempted to call this branch to see what we should do...diverted to the national line....on hold again. We were able to contact a very nice person at the Cottonwood branch who contacted her manager and they had us bring the truck to their location. She was very apologetic about the inconvenience. I figured I would be charged for the time I had the truck. No. They attempted to charge me for a 2 days, bump up the insurance and the mileage. I spoke with UHaul corporate and they were very pleasant and said they would look into it. I just received a call from I assume the mgr of this location. She was RUDE!!!!!!!!! No apology for my inconvenience. She proceeded to argue with me about the mileage and tell me there was nothing wrong with the truck. I guess I inconvenienced them. I was always taught that when an engine light comes on, you pull over and you certainly dont drive down a very steep mountain. All I wanted was a $40 credit, but she was so rude and seemingly put out that I will never rent from this branch again and hope to pursue this up the UHaul chain. She is certainly not responsible for Road Side Assistance, but she is responsible for the customer service at her branch, very disappointing. Oh, and road side assistance finally called me back when I was almost back to Phoenix, over 2 hours after the initial call.

I reserved a 10 ft Uhaul and auto transport at a specific Uhaul location well in advance, to use for moving out of state. At the last minute, Uhaul called to inform me that they didnt have a 10 ft truck available, but they would upgrade me to a 15 ft. at no additional cost. I told them I wasnt interested in a 15 ft. due to the cost of gas mileage. I was then sent to a different location (Peoria) that was further away to pick up a 10 ft truck. I was told I could go to the original reservation location (66th & Bell) for the auto transport, since I would not be renting it the same day as the Uhaul, as I had to pack it up first.Off I went to pack the 10 ft Uhaul to carry on with my move. A few days later, I went to get the auto transport hooked up to the Uhaul at 66th & Bell. As I was in my car being guided onto the ramp, it kept hitting something. I was told to reverse, move my wheels a different direction and hit the gas again. After approximtely 5-6 attempts, I was told my car would not clear the ramp to get on the flatbed transport. The bottom of my car was scraping and thats what I had been hitting during each attempt.My house had just sold and closed, Im alone with 2 dogs and I cant get my car attached to this Uhaul. The manager told me I can have 1 month storage, rent free. However, I have no helpers to unpack the Uhaul & no where to go. Motels are $200 minimum per night because its winter in Arizona and all the snowbirds are in town. I am then told the Uhaul has to be delivered back to the original location it was picked up at and I have no one to follow me there! (Peoria)I quickly hired P.I.T Crew Moving, who work local in the greater Phoenix and Surrounding areas. They called me within 5 minutes of my online request for help and arrived within 45 minutes. It costed $120 to move everything from the Uhaul into storage but they gave A+ Service. They were so great that they followed me to the other Uhaul, so I could drop it off and make sure I had my car. I gave them a $50 tip for there hard work and for going the extra mile to help me get this moving truck back.Heres where it goes bad. The manager, Erica at the Peoria location charged me $747.60 to have this Uhaul for 3 days. She said my contract was for out of state, but I stayed in town so she had to charge me out of town rates. I told her it wasnt my fault that my car wouldnt fit on the transport because it was to low. I told her reservations should have known that, prior to allowing me to book this since they asked me the year, make and model of my vehicle. She replied, saying that 66th & Bell has all flat surface on there property, so they struggle with this. However, if I had rented an auto transport from her location, they would have put my car on the hill in there driveway and my car would have gone on the auto transport without a problem. While crying, I asked her how would I know this information? She couldnt answer my question. I was so baffled, I didnt even know what to do, or say at that point. All of my things had been packed into a Uhaul, unpacked, and put into Uhaul storage. I was exhausted and should have been several hours on the road by now. Instead, I was panicking, wondering who to call and where to stay with my 2 dogs! Erica needed to know if I was ok with her charging my credit card. I told her no, not for $747.60. She told me what the next step was if I dont authorize it. Uhaul had my things in storage, so I had to allow her to charge it. This was a complete injustice to me through no fault of my own. I should have been charged in town daily rates of 19.99 per day, plus the gas mileage I used and thats all. My move and plans were destroyed that day. Uhaul has no idea what they did to ruin my out of state moving plans and set me back financially. Always ask WHAT IF questions when dealing with UHAUL and get it in writing. I will never, ever recommend renting any driving equipment from this company again. I feel like I was completely taken advantage of by that Erica who charged me this ridiculous rate.

Well the good new is I was able to rent a trailer from them. I got hassled by a manager into purchasing extra insurance and was told numerous times that the trailer was new and I would be charged for any ding or dent. Ive never been hassled using the 67th and Bell location. I will say that the ladies working there were very nice.

We rented a truck for two days. They told us to pick the truck up at 8:00 am. When we went we were told that we had to bring the truck back by 4:00 pm that day and the made us promise we would bring it back or she would not give us the keys. Their was another costumer there having the same issues. The manager had no customer service and wouldn’t handle the issues she would just have her employees deal with us. I will not rent from this company again the double charged us for two truck rentals when they should have given us the second truck for free. They have no costumer service they didn’t offer us any kind of discount for having to be back at 4 and picking another truck up when they knew we were moving two houses across town. I wouldn’t recommend this place of business to any family or friends.

I rented out a truck over this weekend. I was told when I went in to get it to bring it back the next day at 6 I didn’t fill any paperwork out which I thought was weird he asked just for the confirmation number so I gave him that and he gave me the keys. I brought it back the next day at 6 like he told me and nobody was around to assist me seemed as if they were closed so I left the truck and the keys in the drop box. Then when me and my bf got home he realized he left his wallet in the truck so I called the next morning they told me couldn’t find me anywhere in the system so I basically could of had a free truck. Then they call me later that day said they had the wallet we went to get it and all his cash was gone his credit cards and stuff were all moved around. Needless to say I wouldn’t trust this place they seem very unprofessional. Won’t be going back. 😏

This is easily the best uhaul location Ive ever been to. Theres a lady running the show there who really knows her stuff. Im in and out with a truck in 15 minutes without an appointment. Ive rented from them a half-dozen times and they always have what I need. Storage facility is great too: temp controlled for sensitive equipment and like fort knox. Big ups!

Anthony and Jesse were amazing. Customer service was beyond top notch. The process was smooth and timely. Pick up and drop off was easy. They explained everything thoroughly and went way over and beyond and out of their way to help us! I cannot express my gratitude enough to them. Too bad you cant give zero stars, customer service leaves a lot to be desired, took an empty propane tank to be filled, got 1 1/4 gal told it was full yet they put another 1 1/2 gal in the tank...again told it was full...same 20# tank that has had 4.5 to 5 gals put in when empty, which it was...then in a condescending tone the manager Erica Martinez rudely asked me if I was certified to fill tanks or took THE class... seriously...I would never recommend this place to anyone...I know enough about the process that the pump will shut itself off when the tank is full...not be manually turned off because some gas bled off at the bleed valve...WORST SERVICE IVE EVER RECEIVED ANYWHERE!!!!

I give 4stars because our rental went fine our equipment was good. we rented a truck and trailer here. this location sucks, they have no space to hook up a trailer and do a return. on top of that I dont like the attitude of the return tech. he blocked the entry way so our trailer was a barely out of the road then he had a truck parked reverse where you return at and I didnt appreciate the attitude we got when he told us to back up. everything else was good.

My mother in law rented a truck from this place to move to New Mexico, the service and price was very fair. However when she got to New Mexico her plans completely fell apart and she had to come back to Phoenix. Normally when you drive twice the distance allowed, and drop off at the wrong location you get charged accordingly, after all she broke the contract, right. In fact according to the normal standards, and the math of the U-Haul computer, her bill went from $400 to $1180. She simply didnt have it, and I was going to have to be responsible for the bill. The manager Pete, and the assistant Tim (hope I got the names right) were very understanding. They empathized with my plight, and adjusted the bill accordingly. Talk about great service! I will not hesitate to refer this location simply because of the great customer service.

The woman that manages this U- Haul business should be fired! A simple process of renting a truck and she made it more difficult than it had to be. Not up front with the prices. You rent a truck for 24 hours and this place keeps wanting to know when you’re bringing it back. She called me at 7:00 am when I should have not been called until noon.

Although we werent renting from them, they were very helpful. We were from out of town and had a flat tire and they tried to air it back up and when it didnt work, they allowed us to change the tire in their parking lot. Super helpful and very nice!

I just called this location and a male answered, which I didnt happen to catch his name. He was so incredibly rude and unprofessional. I asked for a quick cost for the storage units, and he responded with asking what my phone number was. I then said, why do I have to give my phone number, Im just asking a quick question for the cost..., and he said okay, well so am I. I then said, excuse me, I just wanted a quick cost on the units, I shouldnt have to give out my personal information, and he pretended to not hear me, responding with what, what I cant HEAR YOU NOW, and immediately transfers me to the customer service line. A child/female by the name of JOY then answers, and was extremely rude and sat in complete silence as I tried to explain what had just happened and why I was transferred to her, and she responded in a condescending, wished she was a sorority girl tone, and said, ...ummm....so likeeee....what was your questionnnnnn...?, and I re-explained the situation to her, and told her that both herself and the initial male that answered had absolutely disgusting customer service skills, and she started talking over me, and then yelled saying YOU DONT NEED TO BE RUDE, and hangs up on me!! I called back, in just complete disbelief and disgust with how I was treated, and the lady by the name of Christine answered and apologized for my experience and said that the manager at this location is Whitney, and she would transfer me right to her. She puts me on hold, and transfers me and a woman in customer service answered, who indicated she was not out of that location. She was the ONLY person who was even helpful to me, and extremely apologetic and I explained the situation, and asked that I be transferred back to that location. She confirmed that the GM for this location was in fact Whitney, and that she would transfer me right over. I was put on a brief hold, and a female by the name of Tamra then answered, I explained that I was being placed on hold for the GM-Whitney, and she immediately hung up. I am so beyond disgusted by how this company allows their employees to treat potential customers. This location definitely lost a customer and I feel that they need to be held accountable for how they treat people. My reasoning for even looking into a storage unit, has been difficult enough on me, and I finally made my first phone call to look into the costs, and this is how I was treated. It truly made me sick.

Where do I start...?Picking up the truck was the only smooth part of the whole process. Besides the fact that the truck takes 10 minutes to start every time you need to start it, whenever you apply the brakes over 40 miles an hour the truck shakes so bad that it about changes lanes. It definitely rattles all of the boxes and furniture around that you have in the back.I would say the worst part of this whole experience was when the air conditioner went out for the last few hours of the move. We are in Arizona  and the temperature was 105° when this happened. I called the location we rented the truck from when it went out and after explaining what was going on, the firest person hung up on me. The second time I called they transferred me to roadside assistance, who been basically said they dont know why they would transfer me to roadside assistance because theres nothing they can do about air conditioning. Roadside assistance said that I, the customer, would need to bring the truck into the shop to have the AC fixed!Ive then called that location a third time and ask to speak with the manager. The person I spoke with the third time said that the manager was currently talking to a customer and he would have him call me back when he was done. I never received a phone call back. After trying to start the truck for 15 minutes the next morning I tried the air conditioning again, and it worked. What the heck? When I returned the truck I explained to the gentleman at the counter how I received the worst customer service possible from them. He then said that I would need to speak with the manager, who was sitting right next to him. I had already been waiting in line for 10 minutes and then waited another 10 minutes for the manager to finish. I was unable to wait any longer as I needed to drop my daughter off at school. The manager heard what I was telling the person sitting next to him and said Ill be right with you. You think if a disgruntled customer just left the building that the manager would call them as soon as he had a free minute. No call. This location has zero customer service skills including the manager.Theres a new U Haul facility that just opened up on the 303 in Waddell  Arizona that we were planning on renting a covered parking spot for a fifth wheel. Because of this experience at this location we will never use any u-haul locations again for any kind of service. I highly recommend that you train your managers to give a customer the service that they would want to be treated with. And maybe you should also enforce that the managers pass that training on to the people underneath them.

Unless you are up for water damage on your stored items I would go else wear. I just took out my Christmas decorations and found that several of the boxes had gotten wet and I had numerous decorations ruined including some antique nutcrackers. This is the second time this has happened. They told me it had been fixed after the first incident. Anthony the manager looked in the unit and said he could not see any leaks. The janitor walked by while we were there and said it was a long time problem but Anthony made a condescending remark that Lumer didnt understand what we were talking about. Lumer has been there for about 14 years. The only reason this place gets 1 star is because of how clean Lumer keeps it.

I called ahead to reserver a truck for my mom. The guys name was Kevin. She arrived and went thru the process of signing up for insurance and paying. Then the young guy that worked there went to look for the keys and said, Oh no. I dont know where the truck went. It must have been stolen or something. He had a really bad attitude and was so unprofessional to my mom. Long story short, they sent her to another Uhaul location! When I called the main branch of Uhaul, they said there isnt a Kevin who works there.. (Not sure whats going on if they dont even know their own employees.) Super unprofessional. Dont rent your truck from here because it probably wont be there when you arrive!!!

1st - rang the bell at the propane station for a while and no one showed up? There was 3 people working on a trailer right by the station and none of them would even ask if I needed help? I went inside and then I had to wait another 25 mins?then there is only one person that can pump propane?No people skills including the manager, finally filled the tank.Poor poor poor service

Go to 67th and bell the people at this uhaul are lazy and rude.I went for propain fill. Everyone is just standing around. I rang the bell ,nothing . I ring it again thinking it may not have worked . Nothing. So I hold it thinking thats how it works. 20 min later in 100 degrees someone comes out. He doesnt even look at my tanks and says its to old. And I only need to push the button once.People like that is why big companies get bad names. Luckily the other u haul down the street has great employees!

I want to thank Uhaul for not honoring their own deal. We gained an awesome customer because she rented a Uhaul in Iowa, was told shed get a free month of storage rental once she arrived to Arizona. She got to Uhaul on 87th Ave for them to inform her that they will not honor that special. So of course she cancelled that reservation & decided to come where her son stores. Sue is covered in awesome sauce. So we thank you again Uhaul for another awesome customer.
