Good place. Knowledgeable staff. Ive been around Just For Fun since I was a little kid. This place is my go to game shop and I try support Just For Fun whenever I can.

Always go here for tabletop minis. If youre looking for something different than the usual boardgames, they have a insane selection of games. Highly recommend

Huge gaming and miniature figure store. It was almost too packed with games we were almost overwhelmed. We bought a game and a bag for dice. I found a few games which were competitively priced. We will definitely be back.

I contacted this store because I wished to purchase two out of print books they had in stock for The One Ring first edition ttrpg. Despite having an online store, they do not ship. I explained I live overseas and would love to purchase the books and have them held for me, as they are incredibly hard to find, or would gladly pay extra to have them shipped to my parents house. Their assistant manager, Michele, replied to my requests via email very rudely and dismissively. I explained I was trying my best to find some way to purchase the books remotely and have them shipped. There was no response to this. Two days later, the two books I was interested have been purchased by someone else. Given that these two books are the only two from The One Ring that were now out of stock, I can only assume a staff member realized the rarity of the books and bought them, ignoring the needs of a customer who all but begged for help buying the books.

Pretty good selection, despite the smaller size. Friendly staff. Prices were pretty good, better than many online options.

Little disappointed places very small not much of a selection. That is not what disappointed me. What the employee didnt even take the time to come out from behind the counter to see if we need anything just shout it over do you need any help. Im sorry you should always greet a person in versus yelling across the store if you need help its not very personal and not very professional oh well. Maybe next time the experience will be better

Just For Fun is a phenomenal board game, miniatures, and card game store. They have a plethora of options in every category and quite reasonable prices. The staff is extremely nice and helpful! You can tell they are passionate about the jobs they do and the games they play. I would highly recommend Just For Fun to anybody looking for board games, books, miniatures, cards, and more!

Have a huge variety of tabletop and board games to appease pretty much anyone. Prices on some Magic the Gathering items are a bit too high compared to other local places, but not a huge deal, it happens with local shops. Wasnt greeted as I entered but staff was courteous during the transaction.I recommend for anyone looking for new games to play.

This is a game store. Some people are awkward and weird but they are nice if you get to know them. This is the best game store in the area.

This place is great. Drove an hour and a half to check it out and am glad I did. If youre looking to find a new game but dont know for sure what you want, come here and wander around. Maybe try a demo, or ask the clerks for a recommendation, or just pick up boxes and see if something clicks.

I used to game at this store quite frequently from 2006 until 2009. I always considered Just For Fun to be one of the best gaming stores I have been to, and I have missed it and the staff ever since I moved. Mike is an awesome person, and a great gamer who always promotes quality events and cares about his patrons. I always found new games there, some of which I enjoy still, and some not so much. Regardless I always had a great time playing games there all day.I wish we had a store down here in Florida much like Mikes Just For Fun, and I hope this place has many good years to come. I know I have many good memories there.

Ive come in three times over the span of two years. Im not a store loyalist so I believe I can give a fair review.Browsing the selections can be difficult and it can be easy to miss something. Theres just -so- much. Which is both a good thing and a curse if youre trying to find something in particular.On my first visit I didnt purchase anything but a few dice. Spent a few dollars and made my way. Around a year later I came in with my wife and when asked by an employee (Arry) if we could use some help finding something we responded in the affirmative and this man went above and beyond to tell us about everything we asked about and more. Hes very knowledgeable and talked us into a game we didnt think we needed. But guess what? We needed it! It was perfect for our group.I had a matching experience when I came in on July 24, 2017. The same man, along with a few others were very knowledgeable and had some great advice and suggestions on what I was looking for. I took a game home and played it that night and it was great.I look forward to the next visit here, the only suggestion I have for the company is perhaps add some sort of organization with signs and genres to help clue customers in that are a bit in over there head like me!

My boyfriend is an avid table top gamer and actually found something hed never heard of as well as some other great finds. Liked the selection enough to go back to pick up some for a friend. I have no doubt this will now be a regular stop whenever we are in town visiting.8 months later, Im back in Peoria picking up a book he regretted leaving and taking pics of spines so he can tell me what to get for him. To bad his new favorite gaming store is an 11 hour drive away.

They have all the gaming needs i could think of. They have a large selection of board games and the owner is knowledgeable on nearly all of them as far as rules and game play. I go there mainly for MTG and they always seem to have an assortment of cards available. Love this place.

LOVE this place! I found this jewel just a few months ago, and my kids enjoy coming with me in there. The staff, for the most part, has been very helpful, and they have an excellent selection of different board games, especially RPGs. Overall, Ive had an A+ experience there.

Was told by many others This is a great place to catch up and hangout with other nerds! So by the expectations i know this is a great place to find some people who are into MTG and YuGihOh and such. I would recommend if you like gatherings and hanging with friends and seeing a place with all sorts of assortments in your needs, this would be the place for you.

A board game store with an excellent selection of items. Everything from card games, deck building games, board games, RPG, and more. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. A great place for the casual gamer or those who take it serious. Recommended to those who want to play something other than Monopoly, although they do have that as well.

As an enthusiast of TCG, Tabletop RPG, and Boardgames in general, I like it there. The staff & owner are friendly and helpful, the selection is broad, and theyll see if they can flush out whatever they dont have- within reason, but thats really fair in my book. Theyre regular events are great to. Whether Magic, or D&D, or even the older or more obscure stuff is your bit, theyll be able to direct you to it.

The store is great wide choices of games! But one of the guys there got a little to personal with me and my girlfriend, it got creepy really quickly. A guy talked his about life in details, nothing else happend. Once more great store! Just a guy just got personal thats all.

While they do have a decent selection of cards, their customer service has a lot to be desired.

Really friendly folks, and tons of selection. They have regular open game nights and allow food at gaming tables. As far as gaming shops in the Peoria area go, I cant suggest anywhere else that is on the level of Just for Fun.

I go to the different card shops in town and in the surrounding areas often. I had a very strange experience at this shop.For example: when I buy booster packs for MtG at Titan Games, in peoria heights, Dan lets me pick the boosters myself.Very recently at Just for Fun, I requested to buy 2, M20 booster packs. The clerk at that time, his name is Ari, had to open a new booster box. Ari stood for awhile thinking about something and then unwrapped the box reached in the middle of it and grabbed two packs. I asked if I could pick the packs myself and he said No. Then after I asked Ari twice why I couldnt pick the packs myself he said It isnt fair. I thought this was strange considering every other interaction Ive ever had at any other game store, and chose not to buy the cards. I have always felt like the other clerks at just for fun are very helpful. Ari has tried to overcharge for singles in the past also, even when shown a much cheaper price online for the same merchandise. I highly recommend Titan games over Just for fun if Ari is working.

Nice selection, had games to try out, but an employee laughed at me, (probably about my choice if wearing a cloak instead of a coat, but he refused to explain after I asked him), when I walked in. A nice way to kill some time, but my friends and I wont be returning.

My husband and I just went there to get a game for family game night. We wanted something you couldnt find at toys r us. I searched online and read reviews about how the owner Mike was rude and unhelpful. That is not true I am so happy we still went. We told Mike our kids ages and he was so helpful. Some games were priced high but on average they were consistent to what the games cost online unless you find a great sale. Great small business and we would rather give them our money. Until recently i would have rated this store as one of the better ones in the area....BUT, due to a critical lack of morality and common sense on the part of the staff of the store and in part the owner Mike, this store gets THE WORST QUALITY RATING AVAILABLE!!!!!!!! And this is from someone who until recently was a loyal patron for this establishment since 2006.There are 2 main reasons for my scaling review, 1st: The fact that the owner has hired mostly absolute jerks and pricks to staff the store, some of which spoke of engaging in under age drinking and drug use... among other things. And Im not alone in this as several of my close friends, who also were good patrons this establishment have since gone elsewhere due to the employees belligerence. Now there are one or two good workers there, but the bad ones cancel out their help.Secondly, is the fact that every single good gaming group in the area that frequents this establishment only does so out of the fact that there are NO other gaming stores (with the exception of the Game Room in Washington, IL) in the Peoria area. They are forced to meet there not out of choice, as the anywhere else would have to be a persons home or church hall. Thus, this store has a virtual Monopoly on tabletop gaming in the Peoria area (with the exception of the Game Room in Washington, IL) unless you want to drive 45 minutes to Bloomington-Normal.Therefore, I cannot recommend this place as a good place for families fun or competitive table top gaming of any sort for the reasons mentioned above. The atmosphere is just bad all around.

The store has a good selection of a bunch of various games of all sorts, unfortunately everything is priced really about as high as it could possibly be priced, but they likely have just about whatever you might be looking for if you dont mind the price. The real problem with this store is Steve. This guy has no business working any job that faces the customer. Hes rude as all heck and he alone makes this store not worth supporting. If this was the only store in the area that sold board games, various card games and did magic, I could see putting up with this clown. However, with Showdown in Peoria now, rumors that Titan will be moving into Peoria soon and the Zone in Pekin, there is no just no reason to go here and over pay for everything and get treated like crap while you do.

Im not quite sure why some people chose to rate this place 1 or even 2 stars. The staff were all perfectly nice to my wife and I, the games seemed reasonably priced (Firefly Fluxx for $15 is perfectly reasonable), and they do have a huge selection of games. Just because some games (like Betrayal at House on the Hill, $50) are expensive doesnt mean the prices are unreasonable. Plus its a local business, so its not like they have franchise rights or anything like that to fall back on. The lady at the counter not only joked with us when we couldnt find Fluxx (even though it was right in front of the cash register), but she asked if we liked to play at game nights, then she showed us the facilities and told us to come by on game night, which we are going to tonight.All-in-all, this place as an amazing selection of games, figures, and MTG cards and I will be visiting it again.
