First time going into the store. I had heard of it through friends though. The do have a lot of stuff thats cheaper here than on Frys or Safeways. Some stuff were things Id never seen in store shelfs like ginger flavored sprite. Lots of dog food, cold food, drinks, candy, dry food. I recommend you check it out and see for yourself.

Not a bad place if you need some bulk items to use immediately at a good price. 12 packs of propel for $4. $5 bags of Halloween candy for $2. Itll probably be the same for Christmas items. Everything well below cost. Enjoy.

We love this place! They are always doing something for their customers, free products or great deals. You do need to watch expiration dates, however we all know somethings dont matter if its month or so out of date. My so loves to get snacks and treats here because he can get name brad items whereas in the grocery we wouldnt afford them. He got 4 packs of gum, pop tarts, sunflower seeds, and a couple bags of candy. I got some decaffeinated coffee pods and a couple of sodas. We paid 7 bucks for all of it. They have dog and cat food / toys, home goods and house wears, Health and beauty products as well as some refrigerated and frozen items. They were giving away mayo free no purchase necessary and free bag of frozen chicken with 50 dollar purchase. Specials are always changing so stop in and check them out. Although not for everyone you can usually find something for everyone.

I love discount grocers. Found Annies chocolate mint cookies for $1! You gotta dig but real gems can be found. Watch the dates. I got free stuff based on my shopping total.

Love love this place!! As long as you know the difference between the Best Buy date, and the expiration date you’re fine!! A lot of people are missing out on great deals because they are confusing those 2 things, but the staff are very friendly. I will always go to PDG first especially with food prices on the rise everywhere else 😀

Discounted groceries and a very wide variety of products. Kind of a hit or miss place but worth it to check out. I always find unique items here.

Just dont buy mayo and know what does not have a beyond date shelf life. They are recycle, resource, and donate conscious. Owners are so nice and just want to help the community, they are not money hungry which is so refreshing. They care about their employees and their community.

Pretty wide selection of grocery. They pretty much have everything. Even dog food and diapers, if they have it. They accept all forms of payment, even ebt, and the store was clean and organized.

This is a big grocery with lots of foods to choose from. Prices are reasonable to cheap. They have lot of dogs and cats foods which is cheaper than most supermarkets. Their produce are very limited and they dont sell fresh milk or dairy products. One must take note that they have a number of EXPIRED Foods or soon to EXPIRE in packages, cans, bottles. Ive asked the Cashier about this and she explained that the products companies havent taken them out yet and deliver newer stocks.

Store is well kept. Prices are incredible! The store owner (Rick) actually came up to me and my family for the sole purpose of getting to know his customers. Saw him (Rick) thank a veteran for his service and for being a customer then he just told the veteran that his entire cart was free (his service was payment enough). Great guy great staff

Some great prices on a HUGE variety of items. New items every time I go there! Purchased high end dog wife half the price of any other store. Yes, some thing are past the “sell by” date, but used in a reasonable amount of time or stored long term (vacuum sealing) are fine. I haven’t had any problems with any of my purchases. I highly recommend visiting this store.

You have to be careful with what you buy. I had a few items that were almost a year past the Use By date. So many of the things were rancid and stale.

Hit or a miss on the food some of the food is not expired some is. Easy to maneuver around the store. They use paper bags not plastic and if you spend so much they some times offer a free item.

Prices are low. Food can be out of date, so keep an eye out. Not all foods are bad after that best by date, but be cautious. Water and other drinks are a good deal.

This business is operated by anti-maskers. The employees do not wear masks and do not practice social distancing. I asked the cashier why none of the employees are wearing masks during a pandemic and she replied, Masks are not mandatory. I asked her if she cared about spreading COVID-19 and the possibility of people dying as a result. At that point, another cashier rudely shouted Have a nice day! in that condescending manner that really means eff off. I would not shop here. If they only do what is mandatory, you can bet they are only doing the bare minimum as far as health and safety is concerned.

Peoria discount grocery store is the best around low cost and all the merchandise so if youre on the fixed income like I am it helps out a lot they have everything you can think of there and plus something you dont even want to know about so go there go shopping and enjoy it

Enjoyed my first time shopping at Peoria Discount Grocery. My God sister told me of all the good stuff you can get for below manufacturers prices. I got a huge bag of chicken breast for $ 7.99 and received my second bag of chicken for free with my first visit. Not to mention $10 off my entire order . Just be aware , they dont take cash . just debit or credit cards. Highly reccomend if your on a buget.

Went there for the first time today ,I admit I was impressed. Then I notice why it was very cheap. Everything I got was or is expired . A couple of items I have a few days,but still great for the convenience if your going to use the items then and there.

We enjoy walking around and checking out all the great buys. You never know what you will find. Excellent prices and friendly people. The staff is helpful and nice. The store has pet products, paper products, fresh food, packaged food, juices, candy and everything else.

Most of the items are expired. I did find dog vitamins and treats that were not expired. I also found nice beach towels.

Walked in just to check it out. Some prices were great, others not so great. Lots of expired items on the shelves. They werent super old but still expired.

The guy that owns this place is such a nice guy. Hes always walking around giving people candy and giving kids toys. My brother has 6 kids and he gave each kid a toy and he gave the smallest guy something better than most kids get from Santa Claus. The groceries may be second market items but they save our families a lot of money and that makes life better for our kids too. Thank you sir.

What a gem! I expected something like Ollies or maybe Aldi, but its totally different. Its clean and semi-organized, but its just shelves of stuff. Youll find nut butters in three different areas of the store. Its like a fun treasure hunt! Surprisingly, most if the stuff was health food, and I found a ton of new-to-me products that I could eat on my restrictive diet. I got a ton of food for $80. If I had bought it at Whole Foods, itd have been at least $200 for sure. They had staples, too, like rice, bread. The prices were great. Stash and Celestial Seasonings teas were half the price of elsewhere. Starbucks coffee was $4 for a 12 oz bag. They had a product I nearly bought to try the night before on an online store but didnt because of the price ($11). PDG had it in two flavors, one for $8 and the other for $4.

I love this store I came in for the first time and lost my mind on all the low priced products! And even walked out with a $35 vacuum cleaner brand new in the box. And they even have discount days for seniors, and students. Also just to let you know they do not accept cash, it has to be in a form of a card credit/debit or EBT.

Great way to save on everyday groceries, especially snacks and drinks. Be aware, the best prices are usually on blemished or expired items, but they are fair and will refund anything that has actually spoiled. I have not encountered any problems, however, in the last year of shopping here.
