I have had the absolute worst experience in trying to get my son his glasses. We were previous patients of this office, prior to whatever merger they made earlier this year and it has been a nightmare ever since. I have been on hold for 7 1/2 minutes - just to make an appointment. I learned that all 6 offices share the same phone line This is only the beginning of my complaint. Prior to going into the office I called and they said they take my insurance. Once we were there and for 30+ days since, I cannot get them to confirm my new insurance so that I can get my sons new prescription and glasses. Anytime I call - the person can find no notes in my file and is of absolutely no use. I have had to visit the office twice to get any information - which still yields NOTHING. NO ONE has ever returned my calls. I wish this new Dr. luck - this office has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. You have to wait on the phone for 10 minutes to make an appointment and after that - GOOD LUCK!

This is THE WORST eye care center! The doctor is lovely, but the person that helps fit your glasses is belittling to all that she interacts with. Ive seen her be rude to others, and when my glasses were giving me troubles, she kept blaming it on me. I have been several times and will NOT BE BACK-even though I have glasses that dont work for me (and I paid for expensive glasses through the office!) Stay away!

I had a good eye exam with Dr. Egea, which included two additional tests at extra cost I had authorized in writing in the initial paperwork. Then I went to the optical area to order glasses. I was told verbally what the cost of glasses would be before and after insurance. My request for a detailed breakdown of the charges was refused; I was told I would get that when I pick up my glasses. I didnt get one when I picked up the glasses, with the excuse that their system had been down for over a week and it wasnt their fault. A copy of the handwritten breakdown could certainly have been offered at any time.Imagine my surprise when the night I first used my new glasses I started seeing blue circles of light around any street lights or other artificial lights. I finally figured out why that was happening - a blue anti-reflective coating had been added to the lenses without my knowledge or consent. I took the glasses back to Peoria Eye Care and was told I mentioned anti-reflection coating when I read off the costs to you. Im sorry you misunderstood what I said. No refund was offered, I still have no written breakdown of charges and no prescription, and I was forced to verbally consent to have a different color anti-reflective coating applied in order to avoid paying a whopping $85.00 for nothing. My husband was a witness that my consent was not given for anti-reflective coating, which I dont like and dont want. These are business practices that do not follow established ethical standards, and border on fraud. Please beware.

Overall I like this place, the downside is that staff either don’t mask or nose fully exposed . No hand sanitizer any where to be found, I’m sure if I’m paying $300 or more for a pair of glasses then they can afford couple of hand sanitizer. Since we cannot have magazine to kill time while waiting for a family members to be seen at least have the tv on. The staff was half nice friendly and half too serious :)

I zoomed out on Google Maps so I can see all of metropolitan Phoenix when searching for Optometrist. I wanted a good experience and was willing to drive across town if necessary to go where people are praising a business. Thats how I found and chose this place. Its quiet and clean. Both the Optometrist and her front desk staff are professional, friendly, and personable. I think this the the beginning of a long relationship.

Very cheap glasses that break on their own and then the place won’t replace them. I own several pairs of Ray Bans, but the pair of eyeglasses I got from Peoria Eye Care was loose at the frame within a week. This is now the second time this has happened from glasses received from here.

I hate leaving a bad review, but I feel that I need to share my experience about Peoria Eye Care. I was with Peoria Eye Care for at least a decade, and I never had a problem there until the summer of 2018. I was given a new prescription and got new glasses, and I spent over $500.00 for them. I was having a very hard time getting used to the glasses and was in the office 3 times over the course of 2 weeks working with the optician with getting the glasses adjusted. The last time I went to the office the optician, that was previously patient with me, told me “I don’t see a problem!” and “I’m not sure how to help you because I don’t see your glasses moving!” I was absolutely humiliated when she spoke to me that way, and this was coupled with the fact that I was having a hard time adjusting to my new glasses and wrong prescription. I was uncomfortable visually and was seeking help. The office manager was in ear shot and there was another person in the lobby. I left feeling very humiliated and shocked that I was treated this poorly, especially because I spent so much money on my glasses and was having trouble. On August 11, 2018, I sent a long, detailed letter to Dr. Ransdell explaining my issues and how I was treated in her office. I didn’t have access to her e-mail address, and I thought this would be the best way to contact her to let her know I was having trouble with my glasses. I was hoping to resolve my issue with her, but I have a feeling she never got my letter. I never heard back from anyone in the office. I was forced to get my glasses manually adjusted at Walmart because I was turned away by the Peoria Eye Care optician, and my eyeglasses bothered me for a year because I couldn’t see out of them very well. I’m now giving my business to a lovely eye doctor not far from Peoria Eye Care, and she is friendly with a 5-star review. There is a reason she has a 5-star review. I feel valued and appreciated at this new location. I can see so well out of my new glasses. I suffered for a year with the wrong glasses, and I think that is why I’m now writing this review. Had the optician took an interest in trying to problem-solve my very real issue, I would still be at Peoria Eye Care and wouldn’t have had to suffer for a year with the wrong prescription. She was right; my frames were fine but my prescription was wrong, and I just thought it was the frames giving me trouble. A little problem solving on the opticians end could have saved me a lot of misery over the past year.

I recently relocated to Phoenix and was searching for an eye doctor. I found Peoria Eye Care online and the reviews were good so I decided to contact them. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to me as a new patient. I was able to get an appointment quickly. Dr. Ransdell was very helpful in explaining the procedures that were taking place. Her explanations were understandable and concise.

Thank you Dr. Tara Ransdell for always taking the time to get my vision perfect! You truly care about each and every patient. Your staff has always been so professional and office immaculate. You took this girl that had 20/20 vision her whole life into contacts with such patience and I will forever be grateful that you stuck with me and never let me give up! (even when I had a meltdown and couldnt put them in) You are the BEST!

Ive been a client for years and Ive always loved this place until I came in with the issue that my glasses were no longer keeping my lazy eye from turning. They remade my glasses with a higher prescription that I cant see out of and my eye still turns, so the issue only worsened. The higher prescription gives me such bad headaches, I cant even use the glasses anymore.I called them to talk to them about this and they were really rude on the phone when I was trying to explain that I cant afford the $100 dollars they wanted just for my previous lenses back. I broke down. They insisted that I specifically asked for a higher prescription but I didnt, I just told them that my lazy eye wasnt focusing and their decision was to increase the prescription.I have too much anxiety to return.Love the doctors and the office manager though. Such kind people.

Nice people, but it did not seem like they knew how to operate their equipment properly. I had to have my eyes tested on the same machine 4 times. Even then the results were incomplete. I left not feeling very confident in their results.

I went here two years in a row and both times came home unable to see well. When I told her the next year it was difficult to see, she gave me the same exact prescription. I went to a different eye doctor in Scottsdale and now can see clearly.

Absolutely the worst in service. Wait times are horrible and the prescriptions are wrong! My daughter has been on the wrong prescription for a year! Avoid this place and go anywhere else. (edit after they responded). As you can see from the response. They are full of lies. It just isnt the case. By late they mean I wasnt 15 minutes early to re-fill the forms I had already filled out. Not 30 minutes late, not 1 minute late, but on time for my stated appointment, but too late for their 15 minute early deal. Read the other reviews. Poor service and just a bad eye place. I went two days later to another place and guess what? My eyes arent magically the same prescription in both eyes! What a surprise that BOTH my daughter and I werent magically the same prescription too. Such a poor job. I went a year with the wrong (albeit slightly) prescription as did my daughter!

Felt office and provider was pushy with their eyewear products. Messed up labeling my contacts not once but twice, each eye is very different Rx. Had three years of service there and each time asked myself why I was coming back. Never felt like a welcoming place, feels sterile. Shame on me for repeating my mistake.

My pediatrician recommended them for my 4 year olds first eye exam. I was so impressed with the friendliness, the décor, and selection of eye wear that I removed my 7 year old from his previous provider and brought him here. He was thoroughly happy with his choice, as was dad and I.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tara Ransdell for 4 years. I went to her clinic to get a second opinion about my cataract which my previous eye doctor said must be replaced with a lens implant. Dr. Ransdell examined my eye condition and said that there no need for that kind of a surgery for now. She said I might even outlive my cataract. I get my exam yearly at the Peoria Eye Clinic and get peace of mind about my vision.

As a healthcare professional, I must give credit when credit is due. I happen to be very hard on people when it comes to customer service. From the fist time I called Peoria Eye Care to me leaving the office was nothing but a great experience. Dr. Barsness explained everything she was doing and the results of all test in great detail and made me feel at ease. I was then handed off to Ashlee to pick out my frames, and I cant thank her enough for all her help. She was honest and helped me find the perfect style of frames. Maria was extremely helpful during my check out process. If I could give 10 stars to Dr. Barsness, Ashlee, Maria and Natasha I would do so. I am so glad I have found my new eye doctor and will recommend you to everyone I know. Keep up the great work, its very refreshing to walk into a medical office and be treated the way I was! Maria... This one is for you, I promise not to wink at you next time! :-)
