Apparently, they dont start to fill a Rx unless you show up first, (or call, but good luck getting a person...) so I guess you can wait around in the store...? During a pandemic? What happened to texting when its ready? Why must i track down and harangue? What kind of service is that?

I wish there was an option to give zero stars. If you want to waste INSANE amounts of time just to get to the front of the pharmacy line just to be told that your prescription is not even filled yet, then this place is for you! Drive thru? Nah, lets make everyone come inside and stand on a massive line. Longer hours to deal with the issue? No! We now close earlier at 8pm! Thanks CVS for being literally the WORST part of my day. I DREAD needing a prescription filled now. If only my insurance allowed me to use any other pharmacy, Id be there.Hmmm, gives me an idea, perhaps driving to Canada to pay full price would be QUICKER than dealing with this.

THEY DO NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE!! I have tried calling for FOUR days about a prescription and have yet to reach someone. It should be illegal to not be able to get your medication only because they won’t answer the phone. I even showed up to the drive through and the man (who is useless) when asked about why my prescription hadn’t been filled for days simply said “I don’t know” This neglect should be illegal. I am disabled and cannot wait in the long lines inside the store right now.

They have the worst morning cashier. Her name is Robin. She is very rude! IVE BEEN SHOPPING HERE FOR YEARS AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED. She will have a full blown conversations and ignore the lines and self check out. When customers say something I’ve witnessed her yelling at them as well as getting nasty with me too. My wife has gotten into it with her the way she speaks to the elderly people. She always by photo texting and talking. She has also ignore THE CUSTOMERS. She always say she only has two hands we NEED TO WAIT!!!! she does everything no one helps her. I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS A WORKER. She keep refusing to do passports for customers. She say the camera is broke and once the customer had left she said out loud shes not doing it she don’t care what CVS say they can fire her she don’t care. This is CRAZY! I feel bad for the managers as well I’ve also witnessed her getting on the loud speaker stating…. I’M DONE IM GOING TO LUNCH WTH!!! REALLY!?Another problem is when you ask for a manger, she flips everything around and start with her antics. She really needs to work in the back she is not good with people. She feels like she can’t be touched cause she’s been there for 20 plus years as she say.On the better side. Every-time I go there seeing Shy I believe that’s her name. She always speaks she very helpful to me & my family, she always working while Robin sits there doing nothing as well as the other manager Abi I think that’s he’s name, he’s helpful as well. they work while she complains and do nothing, but paging managers for things she refuse to do as Robin say I’m not doing that if I don’t feel like it so I page the managers WHAT?????? Also she’s always putting down her staff members, talks about them to the customers. I have seen so much it’s ridiculous get her out.The way she talks why can’t corporate catch her. Smh. She really say what she wants too. Us (the customers) on the line look like this can’t be real. They need to do better. I wish Shy can be there in the mornings all the time. She is so sweet she knows what customer service is.CVS PLEASE GET A HANDLE ON MS. ROBIN SHE IS OUT OF CONTROL!!!!

This location needs to do better. It was my first early morning trip to pick up meds for my sick husband. First I’m ignored by the cashier, then another employee (Sy?) interjects with all the reasons why I need to use the self-checkout and not the cashier. When did stocking shelves become more important than customer service? The cashier understood my trepidations, but Sy did not. She was pretty rude. I won’t ever return to this store. Do better, CVS.

How is this store still in business? The managers are the absolute worst. They do nothing. I was there on Saturday, 9/25 during the day. There was a super long line and I asked the one cashier working where the managers are and she pointed to the office. After I checked out, I went over to the office and could hear alot of laughing and waited for a while and the managers (male and female) finally came out. I asked a question about the photo dept and then went into my car. When I was ready to leave the two managers had come into the parking lot and were smoking cigarettes and joking around, leaving the crowded store inside in disarray.

Absolute pleasure , great customer service, friendly , communication was a plus, They helped figure out the buy 2 issue when they finally got another item in 1 month later. Another employee gave me the wrong info , Long story short it was handled and Domonique was great, very professional and understanding to my needs and how I had to run around looking for this item at all the cvs which I was told was unnecessary as she apologized when it was not her fault. I Would def shop here again just because of the Great people who work here! Great overall experience. I def would recommend this CVS to Friends and Family who live in the area.

The most rudest people work here. Earlier today this women refused to check if a coupon could work, I believe her name is Robin. She didn’t bother to check if it scanned and told my mother, “next time don’t come and purchase with me”. This women has so much entitlement and kept making the rudest side comments. Also she walked away from the cashier twice because she didn’t want to help or understand. A grown women acting like a child. She also claimed that she has worked at CVS for 20 years. The fact that CVS has these kind of employees for such a long time is very sad to witness. Don’t purchase from this CVS, the one at New City has a much nicer staff.

I used to live in Pearl River & had a very extreme (BAD) situation happen to us. My daughter was sick and a medication was prescribed. The script was filled by Pearl River CVS. I opened the bottle and was shocked to see that pills were prescribed for a 2 yr old. So I looked closer..... the outside of the bottle said....liquid and the name of the med. I went online. The medication given to my 2 year old was not a pill version of the med, it was not even the correct medication. It was a medication for heart problems, with significant side effects. (for adults not a 2 yr old). I brought back the medication and was told that I was wrong and it could never happen. The pharmacist then looked at the actual pill and quickly discarded it. It was just a quick, Im sorry, let me give u the correct med.To this day, I wonder if she was age to swallow a pill, could she have had a serious reaction? After that experience, I look at everything , in close detail, that my children put in there bodies. Mistake? Yeah....I guess I understand that not everyone is perfect. But when it comes to my children and dangerous medication, errors should be rare to non-existent. Thank you. Gary.PS: My wife just reminded me of a second time that PR CVS gave us the wrong medication. They gave us the adult Albuterol for a 6 month old child. Information that had been clearly written on the script and my sons CVS history. I guess it wasnt a one time issue.

Worst pharmacy service ever. Repeatedly takes MULTIPLE phone calls to get an RX filled even if it is a monthly recurring RX. I have to call to make sure they receive it. Sometimes it magically shows up or disappears in their system. Then I have to call to see if they filled it, usually out of stock, and then they lie and tell you it will be ready Friday, then Monday, then its a holiday is the excuse. There is ALWAYS an excuse. And then after weeks or days of promises they then will tell you it isnt covered by isruancecand they dont know what will be covered so you can call your insurance yourself. They will tell you they contacted your doctor to help get a new RX (even though they dont know what will be covered?)usually by some auto system where message is never recieved.I used a private local pharmacy for about a year and NEVER HAD THE SAME ISSUES! Came back to CVS for 2 months after that pharmacy changed hands, never again!! I have spent over 2 hours on the phone in 2 months and about an hour total in pharmacy just to get my recurring monthly RX filled, sort of.And to add to it, RXs I dont want get autofilled without my consent!! Last week I asked them to remove me from this option I never asked to be included in, they said they did. Today she removed me again.I so not blame the staff, the CVS system is the problem. This pharmacy is based on making money and never based on patient care. Save yourself the high blood pressure and go someplace they care about patients needs.

Pharmacy is supposed to send insurance pre-auth. forms to medical providers after receiving the electronically-submitted prescriptions. My appointment was yesterday morning, and I attempted to pick up meds after work, approx. 8 hours later. I was not previously informed that there was an issue with pre-auth. Upon arrival I was informed that my ins. carrier never gave pre-auth and I would have to pay several hundreds of dollars for the meds out of pocket. Like heck I will. The insurance carrier was closed for business at that point, so I had to wait until the following day to make the call. The next day I called the carrier. They said they never received pre-auth form from my provider. I called the provider who indicated that CVS was supposed to send them the pre-auth form upon receipt of the prescription, but never did. I called CVS, who told me that they electronically sent the form to the medical provider. I called back the provider, and they told me that CVSs always faxes the forms, and that they never received any fax. In point of fact, the provider said they have no system whereby CVS electronically submits pre-auth forms. I called back CVS, who insisted that they dont fax forms, and only submit them electronically, which they allege they did in my case. Basically, this particular CVS has a procedure which does not work with my medical offices procedure; assuming they electronically sent the form, which I dont believe to be honest, they effectively transmitted it into the nether. Note: the medical office is not a hole in the wall place. It has been in business for over 10 years, and services a broad clientele. In any event, my meds are just sitting at CVS, and I am without recourse. No one ever picks up their phones and, if and when they do, they are incredibly rude and uncooperative.

I knew it was a specialty medication that had to be ordered. I’ve been getting the run around and was even told it’s not their problem I have to call Caremark to find out what’s going on myself. Today my dr called to see if I was having any side effects. I old them I haven’t received the meds yet so she called them. They told her I said it’s not the correct medicine and I don’t want it. On Friday, October 10th, I went to CVS in Pearl River to pick up a prescription that had been called in by my doctor. He called it in at 3pm. I arrived at 4:30 and was told..Its not ready yet, give us half an hour. Now, I hadnt taken the pills for 2 days, as had misplaced them during a house move, so wasnt feeling very well at all. I was also on foot as I dont drive. I left the store and returned 45 minutes later. They still werent ready. I sat and watched nearly every customer there encounter some sort of problem. Either the prescription wasnt ready, or they were missing some part of it... some were told We wont have them till Tuesday. others were told how busy they were and that was why they had to wait so long. I had been sitting on a chair to the side of the counter.By 6:15, I went back to the counter and moved the items from beneath the counter ledge and sat there. I wasnt moving until the medicine was in my hands. I got my order at 6:30 and they had it mixed up. One order was for 6 days of medicine which would be 12 pills. The other was for 10 days which was 10 pills. Of course they gave me 10 of the 12 that I needed and 12 of the 10 I needed. When pointing this out to them, I was told about it being a controlled substance.-thats what the doctor ordered. He did not, he ordered the right doses, they just got it wrong. At this point I took the pills and left. I will Never go to that pharmacy for my pills again. It was a nightmare. The only person there that was polite was the young man with a beard. The women working there were not apologetic for the disaster of a service, in fact they were acting as if everyone was annoying them. Shockingly disgusting service and attitude.CVS is rebranding as a healthier organisation; they stopped selling cigarettes, but all it did to me and many others that day was make me feel worse than when I went in.I recommend any other pharmacy but CVS. The only reason I gave it one star is because you have to rate it to publish this review, otherwise I would give it 0 stars.
