Great place to shop. Staff is friendly. Local business that’s been around forever. They are conveniently located and usually getting in and out is a snap. They seem to carry just about everything you need. I use to walk 3 miles round trip to get my candy fix as a kid there so I’m a bit sentimental. Recommend it.

Visited this store when I came in from out of town. I was ready to stock up on local craft beers. I’m very involved in supporting local owned businesses when I visit other cities. When I entered the store with my mother and daughter we were kindly greeted by the cashier. She welcomed us in the store. We then proceeded to look around and I, along with my mother carried the beer to the counter. I then told the cashier I was from out of town and asked if they had any more local Pburg breweries beers. She explained how they were just going through the inventory and it wasn’t available yet. Then as I was getting out my wallet she asked for my daughter’s ID. I was confused since my daughter was not purchasing any alcohol. The cashier stated that since my daughter walked through the store (with us) and touched alcohol (that we were not purchasing) that we could not buy anything for 24 hours. I was completely shocked. I more than understand policy. But I feel that this should have been explained when we walked into the store or as we were walking around. Not when I approach the counter to pay and finalize my visit. If this is such an issue, then this business should absolutely not allow anyone into the store under the age of 21. And if they question anyone’s age as they enter their business, that is when they should be identified with a proper state issued ID to assure they are of age and explain at that time. This entire situation could have been avoided. I was very disappointed. I had $50 worth of local businesses for a purchase at a local business and was turned away when the outcome could have been different.

Have shopped there for many years. Excellent staff, fair prices, and giant selection of beverages with related items.

Yesterday was only the 2nd time that I have ever been to North End Market. The last time was probably around 14 or 15 years ago. The selection of alcohol there is Huge! They sell a variety of things other than alcohol also. The prices are cheaper than I have seen anywhere else. I can almost guarantee they have what you want. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definately be going back. I do recommend that you do too.

I was in line here yesterday, and overheard the cashier making a disparaging comment about the appearance of the presumably transgender woman checking out a few places ahead of us (Im trans myself). If this is how their employees treat their customers, then its not worth shopping here whatsoever.

I understand it’s a stressful time for some people however one of the associates working the door was incredibly nasty and closed early on a Friday night. There are a lot of good people out of work right now so I would think it would be a good opportunity to improve the quality of workers who represent this establishment.

Everybody in Parkersburg, WV, was so very nice and so helpful as I tried to find a product apparently not common in that area. I felt like I was down South vs the Mid-Atlantic (Im from NJ, was traveling from Ohio) where, in every interaction with strangers, I felt like I was treated like a neighbor. I finally found what I was looking for at the North End Market, which had a large selection of merchandise and remarkably good prices.

This is the place to find that specialty spirit, like my favorite rum, Mount Gay. Also, I bought some limes here and they were the best tasting limes I think Ive ever had, and Ive lived in Florida for decades. Go figure...
