Tried to purchase through this dealership several years ago. The dealership refused to negotiate on purchase price even though same Subaru Forester in Columbus cost $2,000 less.As a cautionary tale, they told a heartwarming story about an elderly couple that decided to purchase from a Charleston dealership to save $100 bucks. They said that later, when they needed help, they told them to “go back to Charleston” and would never serve them.I would not give these people any business. Byers Subaru in Columbus was awesome to work with, provided excellent, no haggle pricing that saved us $2,000 and got us in and out quickly while we were on a trip to the zoo.

Came in for help to reset different electronics that werent working after my battery went dead. The book was overwhelming for me!!I was very upset that I was told that all of this was taking away from the gentlemans job in the office! I did try to figure it out myself.He said it was the mechanics job to reset the tire rotation business!! This man was irritated but a good customer shouldnt have to hear this. Why should I feel guilty for asking for help?????

I have used Louis Thomas Subaru over the last ten years with no complaint. However on 3-30-21 i needed some work done on my front end. I told them to only repair the left front, replacing the strut and wheel bearing only as the right side had been repaired less than 1500 miles prior. They replaced the right front strut anyway. When I asked the associate about it when they presented my bill, he shrugged his shoulders and said When you replace one, you have to replace the other. and he turned his back on me and walked away. They also replaced a ball joint that had less than 20k miles on it. When they replaced my brakes and replaced a caliper (which needed replaced) they did not bleed the line and now I have to pay someone else to do it. This place is now a clip joint, a rip off. They have ceased being customer servers and are now primarily interested in making their quota, even if they have to rip you off. Avoid this place!

I have purchased 4 subarus from Louis Thomas. That is strong testimony. Service is fast and efficient for everything from oil change to questions about latest upgrade on my car.

I wa very disappointed. I was in an accident and desperately needed transportation ASAP. My family, who do not live here, had to rely on the honesty of the dealers. Saying all this, they paid $14,000.00 plus taxes, in full, for used 2013 Legacy. Only to find out that three of the parts were previously replaced with non- Subaru parts along with a bad tires and batteries. When confronted, they denied it and offered no help or resolution. Shame on them.

The outback is one super car, it has everything you need and more. Very comfortable to ride in and very little road noise. It has a lot of room in cargo space. We are very pleased that we purchased it at Lou Thomass Subaru in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

Everybody we’ve worked with here has been very helpful. We hve bought two new cars from them, one last year and another one last month, and both experiences have been very good. The transactions were quick and easy, and you can feel that they really try to get you a good deal.

I had my oil changed and tires rotated. The waiting room was very clean and new. They had free coffee, bottled water, and snacks. I was treated great by the service reps. The work on my car was done correctly by people trained to do the job. I will be back.

Everybody is extremely helpful, no pressure, no back and forth for hours to get the payment right. All car sales should be like this!!! My husband and I found a great vehicle but we had just bought a house which made his credit score go down. Lou told us that he didn’t know why anyone would have even sold us a house but “I guess people need a place to live”. He was rude and treated us as if we were ignorant, although I’ve sold cars before and I understand exactly how the process goes. We felt very judged and not like we were potential customers at all. Nobody greeted us as we walked in. Not happy at all.

Fantastic experience on a lease deal.We dealt directly with the owner, presented him our target payment and he personally explained our options. They offered more for our trade-in than the three other dealers we visited, and the purchase process involved NO aggressive upselling.And a bonus for me (maybe not so much for others): they didnt apply a dealer logo-decal directly to the car.I never thought wed own a Subaru, until I met Louis and his family.

Stopped in today to test drive a new 2018 subaru wrx and the salesman didnt have the time for me to drive the car. I have a 750+ credit score and treated me as if I couldnt afford the 38k dollar car. Due to the rude treatment of the salesman, I will be more then happy to look at another dealership.Customer service is well below acceptable. Hope this review helps other customers, and the management at the dealership prevent / resolve the issue.

2017 subaru pulling to the right. Was still under warrenty. Service manager tried to say it is supposed to because of the crown in the road I guess he thinks we were morons...My husband said it acted like a sticking brake caliper. Service manager says I never heard of thatHonestly, this place is not very accommodating. They sent my car out to have the alignment checked, and it WAS OUT, AND NEEDED ADJUSTMENTS. (So much for the crown in the road theory)

Great family owned and operated dealership, which I highly recommend. I met Eddie, who started the dealership back in the early 70s.(By the way, it has been a Subaru dealership since its inception). He was a very nice man and was more than willing to sit and chat. I also met Big Lou, who now runs the dealership. Working with him on the final paperwork was easy and stress free. Lou Jr. was my salesman. He was very nice and was willing to engage in some haggling, which is part of the fun (at least for me).The day I went to buy my Impreza, they were quite busy and I believe they sold 5 cars while I was there, with only 3 or 4 people doing sales and finance. Lou Jrs brother was on vacation and he typically does the finance paperwork, so things were a bit slow. They were very apologetic and even gave me one of their other cars to go grab lunch with my family, rather than sit around during the whole process.I never bought a new car of my own, although I have helped others in the process. Virtually all the cars, trucks, motorcycles, dirtbikes and atvs I have bought(or helped other people buy) have come from private owners or auctions. That is to say, I typically avoid dealerships and have always gotten the stereotypical car salesman vibe when I have dealt with them.Louis Thomas Subaru does NOT feel that way at all. If I am ever in the market for another Subaru, they will be my first call. I recommend that you call them, too.Lou Sr. even called me a few days after the sale just to check in and make sure I was doing well and didnt have any questions/concerns with my new car.I have had no experience with the service or parts departments, but I anticipate an equally positive experience should the need arrive.
