Loved Leanne (name on receipt) she was an awesome server she got our orders quickly and helped us decide what to get since it was our first time. I didnt know they had dine in but it was so nice definitely enjoyed the food and the service. Only giving it a 4 star because I want to come back and see what my friend thinks of the sushi but I loved the Fried chicken ramen. Plus we got a pretty good amount of food for the price I got a food coma after.

This place sure knows how to take care of their clients. Constantly with a super friendly approach. The food is reasonably priced, always tasty and neat.

This place is a good Ramen spots open late till 10 PM. They don’t have dine in right now say everything is a takeout at around 9pm on a Thursday. You can customize your Ramen which is great. Highly recommend it..

The only reason Im giving this a 1* review is because of the absolutely atrocious customer service I received on Monday afternoon.I ordered a chicken and rice teriyaki bowl, and asked for No vegetables, just the chicken and rice.When I was handed my bowl, there was a layer of salad in between the rice and chicken. I went back and politely explained to the young woman at the counter, who took my order, that I had asked for no veggies. She proceeds to tell me Its just salad on top of the rice.I then say Correct, there is a layer of salad, and I had asked for no veggies.She once again tells me Its just salad.We go back and forth about No veggies & Its just salad 5 more times before I angrily just take the bowl and give it to a homeless person.This young woman clearly didnt give a single care about the fact that my order was incorrect, and made no effort to get me a new bowl with just chicken and rice. She consistently argued with me and told me Its just salad, not veggies like Im unaware of what vegetables are.I would strongly consider management having a polite conversation with her and explaining why she was wrong, so that this doesnt happen again.$18 for a chicken bowl and coke, and I dont even get the order the way I ordered it? Absolutely atrocious customer service, and you should be ashamed.

Came here for a lunch date with friends and had a great time. Our waiter was awesome! He was friendly and very funny. The ramen was pretty good, and you get a lot of it! The rolls were pretty good, my only complaint is that they were all very soft. I like my rolls to have a little better structure, but I have no complaints about the flavor. We will definitely come back.

Ramen and sushi are delicious, but only to go.

Very fresh fish. We ordered; salmon sushi, rainbow roll, baked salmon roll & wokano roll. The salmon sushi was like butter. The rainbow rolls were on right par. Baked salmon was spicy and sweet and the wokano was severe very hot and a little spicy. a Prices are phenomenal. Highly recommend Kitanoya

Spicy Miso Ramen can give you tummy troubles if you go too hot! But if you can take it, its worth it. Sushi, ramen, and beer, enuf said.

Visited last night and sushi was fantastic. Cucumber roll with cuke on outside. No rice but crabmeat, mixed fish so good . Tender halibut. Only drawback for me no wine but they do have beer and sake. Tried to serve with paper cups but brought glasses on request. Cold sake only. Wonderful sushi with a view.

Food tasted good but lets just say my sis & I had terrible tummy problems after eating here. The waiter was quiet but attentive, he seemed annoyed but- understandably when the other waiter was entertaining her friends. Wont be back!

Just update your hours if you dont want customers at 8:50. Geez. Walked up and woman just shouted NO. Asked if they were open, then suddenly its Oh Yes and very obviously upset about something.Will update if the food makes up for the rude service. Not holding my breath.

The food was not bad. the service was terrible there was an empty table right in the front the waitress didnt want to seat us at the table was three tables pushed together she said you sit at bar, but we dont want to sit at the counter no no, how nice whats wrong with this table oh I save if a big party come but were here now okay okay I give you a part of table.food took forever once we got our food we never saw her again until a big party showed up and then she was all about getting our ticket and pushing us out the door so she can put somebody else there. oh you done okay heres your ticket you go now.The food was fine but for me service is a big part of eating out three stars for the food zero stars for the waitress

Sushi was very fresh and tasty. I got a meal with their Miso soup and that was very tasty. So now I want to return for their Ramen.

At the first moment you come to this place they give you a nice feeling. Very courteous stuff, it is a friendly place to hang out with your friends or with your date. tasty food, skillful chief cook and stuff, reasonable cost and courteous service. Warmly recommended.

Place isnt as good as when it first opened. Quality and taste went down. A little pricey for the quality they have now. Got an Alaskan roll and fish smelled odd and I dont mean the fishy smell. Just smelled off. Didnt want to risk it so I didnt eat it.

30 minutes after eating a soup here I became ill. I don’t think I want to risk it again. Sorry.

Cozy, delicious food and great service..

Ive been going to Kitanoya since I was a kid! Easily 20 years now. Its always fresh and delicious! Ive made it a habit to stop in twice a week or so! I hope they never change. (Prices are very reasonable too)

I will comeback and will suggest to all to come and checkout this place. The back dining area has a really nice atmosphere. The view of PH harbor channel and boats on the dock. The food is surprisingly really good. I gave it a 4 due to Ive only tried the Ramen. They have many more choices but their ramen is a winner. The Broth is a winner. It reminded me when I was in Sasebo, Japan out at night and having ramen out in the sidewalk. Absolutely will come back and try their other ramen if its up to my standard. More to follow. . . .

Terrible service! They dropped the food off at the table and that is the last we saw of them.Maybe because we arrived 30 min before closing? They should not have seated us if they did not want us there. Very bad vibe from server and staff. The food was not bad, but we will not return

Of course its not as good as Japans ramen but its so good for the state side. It was my first visit and it wont be my last, I tried the wonton ramen, miso, and it was on point!

I didnt know about this place until last week. I came back to the states from Japan and all the ramen places in ventura suck. But this place is good. Different from what Im used to but very good.

The chashu ramen was very good on a cool rainy day. I deducted a star because the egg that I added was cooked beyond soft boiled and when I bit into it, it was cold. Also, some of my chashu was not as tender as I had hoped. Still, solid food and will defintely be return to try more items on the menu.

Tried the Garlic Bomb with spicy Miso soup and Baked salmon roll, Wow Absolutely the best ramen Ive had. Cant wait to try everything else on the menu

The sushi was cut thick, fresh and delicious. I will come back.

Kao with spicy mayo & shrimp

Always pleased with the food. This place has some yummy takoyaki, sushi, and ramen. The fried chicken ramen is out of this world.

We like a lot going out. Yesterday we went to this magnificent place which friends recommended to us. We spent a beautiful evening there with delicious cooking and an experienced crew and a great chief cook. We added this fine restaurant in our phone list and we shall no doubt return soon. Highly recommended.

I liked Kitanoya a lot! My brother told me the sushi that I liked was the Dragon roll, so I tried it. It was good! It has good service and it didn’t take them long to cook it! Because of their service, I give it a five-star!

Bad service but great food

Terrible service, waited 20mins just to get my food that was already made. I had to walk in to get my food, at which point I got yelled at. At the same time, people were waiting outside and thanked me for getting the food runners attention, as they were waiting forever too. Sucks that I had to get negative attention for some service

We just moved to the area and wandered in to Kitanoya for lunch... BEST CHOICE EVER. The service was as good as the food. Lindsey was awesome at explaining the menu options as well as entertaining my four year old who wanted to tell her everything but our social security numbers.. We will be regulars at this establishment. Thanks for giving us a warm welcome!

Since moving to California summer of 2018, kitanoya has been our go to spot for comfort food. My partner and I call it our “home base”. This place always serves delicious food, quick, and with excellent customer service! The staff are always incredible! We are really going to miss this place.

1st time trying out this place. OK, I ask to his face: Is there Wasabi & Soy Sauce. He said yes, plenty. Get home, NO WASABI. Had to go to the store to buy some. Not happy 😣

Tonight was my first time visiting this place and Ill definitely be back. My wife and I order the jalapeno bombs, handmade gyoza, and the garlic lover roman. Everything was wonderful. I even ordered a garlic lover roman for lunch the next day. It was a quit place even though it was pretty busy. I cant wait to go back and try different things.

Soup is spicy... so if you like spicy... this place is for you... but the regular menu items are tasty!

The sushi here is fresh and high quality. Its very well prepared and I even enjoyed the California Roll for once. Ordering the chefs choice (which is like an Omakase light version) is a definite must as its only $18. the sushi chef here knows what hes doing. 👌

Went there with friends for a birthday, and got some Ramen. I was really impressed with how good the food was! I was also happy to see the honesty of the waitress when there was an odd little discrepancy on one of the checks.

Been buying here every week, but got disappointed the guy making sushi was not wearing a mask!!!!

The best basic rolls in the area! I like simple rolls like Tuna, avocado, cucumber, philly, and salmon rolls and Kitanoya nails em with the right price! I dont do fried or specialty rolls, but my wife has not had great experiences with them so I dont recommend them for that. If you like cheap, clean, and fresh BASIC rolls, this is the place.

The sushi in this place was pretty good and also the bill wasnt half bad either. Definitely coming back for more!

Loved the Shrimp & Veggie Tempura!Came by today for lunch. The counter was crowded but there were tables available and they told me I could sit where ever I wanted. By the time I reviewed the menu, they were right there to take my order.I also liked that the appetizer came out before the entrée. Sometimes places bring you everything at once, but they got it right!The prices were quite good as well.

Had Garlic Bomb Ramen! It was pretty good a good backup place. Garlic was not to intense. The miso broth was really good. The noodles are not home made, I think thats why the price was so low. All in all a pretty good lunch, with a beautiful view.

They serve big portions and for fair rates. very kind employees. Highly recommended.

The food deserves 4-5 stars. I had the koi ramen with a spice level 4 and it was on point. Their sushi was also very delicious and fresh tasting. Everyone else at my table enjoyed their food also. Above average for sure.The only reason this place isn’t a 5 is because of the service. Our waitress seemed to forgotten about it at times on a slow night. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks (all water). We didn’t hear from her from time we put our orders until the water actually came. The food took about an hour to come out, but we had a few wrong orders and some forgotten food. She never actually checked on us either after the food got there.There’s definitely a lot of potential here, but they need to work on their service.

I love the choices of broth for the ramen. I love the spicy miso. I do, however, wish we had noodle options because I do prefer the straight noodles over the curly ones. But thats just me. Sushi tastes great as well. Having been in Japan, this restaurant tops many of their competitors in the area--price and flavor wise.

As others have said, service was not that great. Waitress did not check on us... even when there was only one other couple eating at the restaurant. Sushi was really just OK, the Firecracker and Rainbow Rolls were my favorite. Nothing to brag about for the price. We were asked to sit at the bar, and the sushi chef at the bar could not understand me when I asked to order another roll. I would suggest Sushi-holic in Hueneme, which is better all the way around, or make the drive to Camarillo to Masa Sushi (they never disappoint).

More like a 3.5? Pretty decent Japanese place in Oxnard that serves Ramen. Noodles were good, and the flavor was okay (shoyu was decent, but miso a bit bland). Cant speak to the sushi as I only had two pieces of unagi, which wasnt anything special. Still, if I visited Oxnard again I wouldnt mind coming here.

Food was good but, me and guests were being rushed to order and if we are done. Some advice to the owner and workers. Leave the patrons be, let them eat in peace. That is why we did not leave a tip.

Really good ramen and appetizers. The jalapeno bomb appetizers were perfectly balanced and not overpowered with spiciness. I got a custom spicy miso soup and I gotta say its REALLY spicy and I love spicy food so it says alot how strong it is. I got level 2 out of 5 and I got spiced out alot. Still really good though overall and I would definitely recommend it.

Been going there for a while...just went in yesterday and noticed they have a new menu same items, but I noticed the prices went up, only by a buck or two..and seems like they changed up some of the food items same item but played and dressed different..didnt know how to take it in, but the changes are great
