Ann, the employee with short red hair, the one mentioned many times in the one-star reviews for horrible customer service is the reason for my posting. She always has a horrible attitude and is rude, but this time she argued with me about buy one, get one free pricing on LED lights. It was clearly tagged and the signed indicated BOGO, but it wasnt in the system per my angry employee. A co-worker was kind enough to physically get the sign under the product and show it to Ann, to which she said, thats wrong and was rude to the co-worker. All I wanted was the correct price. Never going back to this store, will drive to Corinth location Ace store or down the road to Home Depot. SAD!

As always its fun to go in and browse , gives me ideas of projects to do at home, and when Im ready the staff is so helpful.

This is an OLD SCHOOL Ace w a gift and knick-knack section.You know how Target has 200 units of like 5 brands of everything? This is the opposite - five of almost every imaginable brand. Delightful.I went to get some floor cleaner that was $18 on Amazon but $4.99 at Ace.

This was the most hateful place Ive been to since before Covid-19 this place had me ready to run out until 1 and I mean ONLY 1 lady had enough since not to horrible like the rest of that God awful place!!! To her I thank you she helped me with getting Stain for my hardwood floors although I definitely didnt purchase it shed be the only reason I wouldve. Thumbs down to this devilish place!!!

Great stuff in this store. Went in for a mouse trap and left with a sonic light bulb that emits a noise perceptible only to rodents that scares them off. No death, no carcass. The help wasnt particularly attentive but I still love this store.

Great staff. Employees definitely turn up on the weekends. That’s the kind of hardware store I want to purchase my products from. Great gb pieces. Always comes in clutch. This one employee was listening to JBalvin who is my favorite artist. We had a great conversation and he was so nice. Also great car air fresheners.

Called in advance for parts... They Said they had them. Drove an hour for parts and they did not have them. Very disorganized. Probably not going back.

This store isn’t the most convenient for us, but we stop by if Sutherland’s doesn’t have what we are looking for. I will give credit to friendly service in most instances. Today was the 3rd occasion of coupons by Ace Hardware not working. Between the amount of exclusions and the store’s inability to support an email/app coupon received within the company’s app, we’ll head a bit further down for Lowe’s in the future.

I was in the lawn and garden section and asked for help from the lady with the short red hair. She was extremely short with me, and made me feel kind of stupid. I never leave reviews, but I’ve had this same type of experience with her multiple times. If I come back, I will definitely avoid asking her for anything!

The second time I have been in the store and various employees are not wearing mask. The first occasion I witnessed another customer talking to a manager about lack of masks. Today I called and spoke with the manager and he said as long as his employees stay 6 feet away he’s not going to be the mask police. He also said he couldn’t and wouldn’t manage his employees and that he had a health issue and he couldn’t wear a mask. He also said mask wearing in Johnson Co., is not mandated. Last time in Ranch mart hardware!

Went here today and the majority of the staff were wearing their masks down around their chin even inside. This is the second time I’ve come here since the pandemic and witnessed this. Regardless of your personal opinion, it sends the message that you aren’t concerned with your customer’s health and safety. It’s really too bad because I want to support locally owned businesses especially during this time.Edit: I appreciate this owner’s response. As a healthcare worker, I have been wearing a mask all day, every day well before it was mandated for the general public, so I am aware that it is not the most comfortable thing to have to do. However, I still continue to wear a mask when I come out into public to do anything I can to help keep others safe. I do hope your ownership is genuinely committed to creating a sense of solidarity among the community by expecting the same of your staff.

We had water in our basement from the intense rain and they were happy to stay open late and help me load sandbags into my car after we called and asked for help. True customer service!

Good hardware, but the last few times I have been in, the helpful staff have been getting harder to find. This last time, I asked some fat indian guy who said he was a “manager” if he could help me find a cleaner. He passed me off to another employee, saying he was “too busy”. All while huffing around without a mask on. I’ve never left a review before, but this service has made me change that. I will be going to a different location from here forward.

Came to this to purchase replacement for power cord (electrical grill) they didnt have what I need but they said go find one at Home Depot and come back we will fix it no big deal. We went to Home Depot got the replacement and came back they said will be done tomorrow come to pick it up at any time! I came the next day...and guy told me he doesnt know what Im talking about! It could take up to 7days to fix it! It is other places to go to get this done without hassle! Wont ever come back to this store again.

Has a lot to offer, lots of folks running around to help you but theyre a little short on knowledge sometimes.

This is our go-to hardware store. The employees are SO helpful. When you walk down the main aisles, every employee will stop to ask if youre needing any help. Tonight, the manager spent 15 minutes on the phone with other Ace stores helping us to locate an item that was out-of-stock here and in the Ace warehouses. The customer service we experience at this store is unlike anywhere else!

I went there on 4/25/20. Every other time Ive been there the staff has been helpful, if not pleasant.This morning, the woman with the dyed, red hair working the help desk was extremely rude, in addition to being of no help whatsoever. In fact, she tried to pass the blame for her own uselessness off on the kid working the register when I went in to pick up my motor.Maybe she should consider a job where she doesnt have to deal with people.

Love, love, love the selection of this store but the staffs customer service can fall short. Bought a can of spray paint and the nozzle didnt work. Called the store to see if they had the same color in stock before I made a 25 minute drive and they refused to tell me over the phone. Said Id have to bring it in. As Id already put the primer coat on and had 1 hr to get the topcoat on, time was of an essence. Very rude.

This family owned . Neighborhood store feels like the kind of store you went to with your dad when you were a kid . Friendly staff the employees give great advice and help when buying supplies for small DIY projects . Paint , gardening, automotive , household cleaners, bbq grills . I always shop here instead of home depot or lowes when possible.

I went in looking for something to hang pictures. So much variety and so many choices. A gent came with me and helped me locate them.It was very nice. And I even found some other things.

This store is the closest thing I know of in Kansas City to the old-fashioned hardware store. TONS of stuff that might only sell once a year (but when you need it, you need it), rather than only things that move fast (like most hardware stores and the big box stores have become). Those who dont like this store because its cramped, dark, etc., dont know what its like to go into a real hardware store. Theyre lucky one still exists. I drive a long distance just to give them my business (and because they usually have things nobody else has).

Supper nice they went to the basement and got snow boards for us in the middle of the summer. You can fine just about anything best hardware store Ive seen.

The staff at this location is among the most helpful I have encountered. I showed up 10 mins before they were actually open, but they let me in and cut the piece of glass I needed anyway. I will shop here whenever I am close to their location.

Good selection of hardware. Good help is getting harder to find at Ranch Mart Hardware. I talked to someone who identified himself as a manager. That person would not help me find a concrete block. That employee suggested that I go to a local chain of hardware stores for that type of thing.

The man working in the paint section is completely rude. Treated me like I was putting him out of the way to do his job because I needed a certain kind of paint for a project and I needed help figuring out what my options were. Lost my business. Left what I originally came in for on the shelf for him to put back, which I never do, because that is how rude he was and severely pissed me off. He was wearing a black shirt. I hope THAT wasn’t your manager.

Bought a garage door opener & it started making a grinding noise immediately. The receipt says 30 day money back guarantee but after only a week the lady assistant manager refused to take it back & said we had to send it back to manufacturer even thought I had the receipt. Terrible service will go to Lowes from now on. I should have read the reviews first because I see Im not the only person they refuse to honor the 30 day money back guarantee for. Fraudulent advertising at its worst.

Customer service at this place has gone out the window. People at the registers are nice, but people working the aisles (if you can find anyone) are rude to apathetic. I used to frequent this hardware store a lot; not any more. I now go to Westlake Ace in Corinth for quick stuff. Also, beware of local guide reviews that tend to artificially inflate google reviews.

This is my go-to place for bulbs, furnace filters, grass seed, Christmas lights, etc. Im not a contractor, etc. Just a guy that needs a few things every now and then and this is it for me. The store is well stocked and the employees are always helpful...Plus they sharpen knifes.

I love ranchmart hardware and have for a lot of years, even when they were on the north side of 95th. They usually have the hard to find hardware and their service, help and advice is stellar. The prices are a little higher but I usually find its worth it. They also have some good sale items that draw me in.

This place is AWESOME and the staff is friendly, helpful, and honest! They helped me with my Key fob for my car and had me out the door in minutes!

Most of the time they have been helpful, but maybe my previous visits werent as demanding. We went into the paint center this last weekend to have our colors mixed up and the person who helped us was absolutely terrible. He didnt seem like he knew at all what was going on, and just kind of muttered around. After about 10 minutes of him spitting out random sentences, we took our business to the ACE down the street. There is no chance of me visiting this location again, the service was awful.

I called to ask about a specific pizza oven (Ooni) because online it said they had some in stock. The manager I spoke with wasn’t helpful at all. When I asked about it he replied, “Well, we have some grills..” I asked if he would check for the pizza oven. He came back on the phone a minute later and said, “Yeah, we got some in the barbecue section.” I asked which brand and he replied, “I have no idea at this time.” I said “Ok..” and he hung up.

Once I went here to fill up my propane tank, and even though the store was practically empty, it took over 30 minutes. They forgot about me and didnt even apologize for wasting my time. They do have a pretty good selection of supplies, for a neighborhood hardware store. But, Lowes and Home Depot will get you a better price with a much bigger selection. There just arent any of those nearby.

They prominently feature MAGA stuff as you walk in the door. Thumbs down. Westlake is at 83rd and Mission 5 minutes away.

They carry things that are hard to find at other big box stores like Lowe’s or Home Depot and the employees are always so helpful. They actually ask if they can help you, rather than you, the customer, searching aisle after aisle for someone to help.

The store feels very cramped, but I guess thats inevitable for a hardware store in a strip mall. Selection seems at least on par with other stores. The real issue was the customer service. Ill admit, I dont know a lot about tools, but even if I ask a stupid question, I expect the help desk to be helpful and friendly. I got the answer I was looking for, but not before being talked down to and made to feel like an idiot. The lady at the checkout counter, where the ladder we were purchasing was waiting (taken to the front by another employee), was about to close her lane. Sure, our fault for getting in the wrong queue, but she was extremely short about it. She checked us out, but the disdain was palpable. Go for nicer employees on your next hirings.

Staff has ALWAYS been helpful when Ive been in the store and they have just about everything you could want.

In general, they are pretty good. However, last time, I was read the right act over returning a defective light bulb. It was a specialty bulb at $10 each. I was told I should go to the manufacturer with defects. I dont think this is typical of other stores. If it doesnt work out of the box, they will take it back. Ultimately, they did, but as I said, I was read the right act about it. I did not appreciate it and will not go back.The manager lady lectured me about how to carefully open the package as not to tear it up. Well, I noticed that it had been opened already when I got it home. That tells me, they want to put it back on the shelf regardless of its condition.They did not have any more of those particular bulbs. So, I went right on down 95th Street to the new Lowes where I found it for 1/2 the cost. And it worked out of the box.Also, if you have expired Ace rewards cards, Ranchmart will not take them, but Westlake Ace will. Truth hurts.I have been treated rudely there in the past as well. Several times, I have walked out because of it. Another time, I was waiting for the shop to repair something. One of the staff said Do you have any business in here or are you just wandering around aimlessly? This last visit was it for me. I am all for supporting local stores, but not to the extent of being treated like this.

53 years ago, my dad took me to Ranchmart Hdwr, I was 7 years old. Ive enjoyed looking at all the stuff then, and still do. My sons worked here in high school. Its not just a store, theyre family.
