Drove 40 minutes to this location and called before hand which the phone said you can walk in and get balloons filled, I get here and they say it’s an hour wait. It takes all of 3 seconds to fill a balloon up, why do I have to wait an hour? I have never dealt with this. Independence location never does this. Wouldn’t recommend. Now I’m late for the occasion I have to do.

Pretty confusing customer service. I came into the store to order balloons for my grandmas birthday, but was told they are no longer taking orders because graduations have sold them out. Fair enough. But then I go online and Im able to order a balloon bouquet for pickup at that same store, 2 hours later.... So they werent really sold out then, were they?If they had told me I could order online, I wouldnt be as miffed but it was only because I was determined to do this for my grandma that I decided to check online. Then when I get to the store, the balloons are ready, but they tell me the weight I ordered with it is no longer available. I showed my receipt to show that I did order one and asked if I could replace it with one, but got no real answer. They claim the weight will be taken off my final order after theyve verified that the balloons have been picked up, but as I did not get any email about it being removed from my order in the first place, Im a little worried that wont happen. Just really weird customer service here for a pretty basic order of a pre-made balloon bouquet with a weight.

Went in to buy balloons for my sons birthday and they wouldn’t fill them. They are only filling balloons that are ordered in advanced- said we could order them and come back in three days- unfortunately my sons birthday is tomorrow. Who sells balloons but can’t fill them??

Shopped online. Got the last one of what I was looking for, whew! They forgot to text me that it was ready to pick up, but I was just happy they had it. The clerks were very friendly both on the phone and in person.

My experience with great customer service was excellent

Wouldnt fill balloons because it suppose to be ordered online now because of covid. Makes no sense since its not done with your mouth. Also NO ONE was in the store and they could have done it. But NOoooo. We were not the only family stomping away angry. It was a steady stream of angry empty handed folks and the store was dead.

Huge store full of great party supplies and decorations! Went in for some game tickets and left with a beautiful fall wreath and some reusable straws I had been searching for.

More awesome costume and party ideas than one could imagine! Lots of accessories and items for parties, Halloween or any reason to celebrate! Wigs and balloons you didnt know existed! And everything was decent priced!I was pleased with the store, the employees and the array of items you wont find at a Target or Walmart.

Vast selection. One stop shop for parties! Decorations, party favors, and candy! Not to mention endless colors of matching cups, plates, napkins, etc. The staff was kind and helpful. The store was very clean and well stocked.

I bought a bunch of stuff here for my wife’s birthday. The selection is pretty good but may have been limited due to Halloween. It could use some more selection of sashes and fun props for going out and they should get the fun pet animal balloons. Otherwise, they have just about everything you need for a party.

This party city is super great! They always have my balloon orders ready. The staff is really helpful and go out of their way to make your shopping experience nice! Ive never had an issue with anyone there, the employees are mostly young but its fine, they tend to know what theyre doing. Overall its just a really pleasant place.

I had asked for a specific product for a costume and the man who helped me knew he had ONE in stock and led me right too it even though he had to grab a ladder to reach it on the highest shelf on the opposite end of the store. Much appreciated.

The service here is great and this a nice store. I just wish theyd carry more supplies like other Party Citys. I went there for a 21st birthday party deco and they had the smallest section and really didnt have any cool things. So if they had a variety of more supplies that would be great.

They were out of Halloween party invitations BUT Party City almost never disappoints. They have awesome halloween decorations and always a great place to shop for any theme birthday party.

Called the store and they stated they had the numbers I wanted but when I got there they didnt. Just a why to make you pay more.

You get what you pay for. Its a chain party store with minimum wage employees. Come here for quick party purchases. I ordered high float latex Balloons on a Tuesday night, and they were still floating Friday evening. Not a bad place to shop. Its like the Walmart of party stores.

I called 9 days before my event and asked how far in advance I need to place my order for TWO numbered balloons. They told me they dont take phone orders, totally understand and added going into the store to my errands list. Went into the store and waited in line to speak to a cashier to place my order. I said I would like to place a balloon order for next Saturday (1 week in advance) and told them what I would like to order. They told me they are out of one of my numbers, so I asked when they would be getting more in and if they would have them by next Saturday. They looked at me as if I was speaking a foreign language and told me they dont know what is in their orders until they arrive. I proceeded to ask how Im supposed to order two balloons if I cant do it over the phone, I come into the store and you cant tell me if you will have a number available and you dont take walk-ins on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays when my event is on a Saturday? Blank stares. I left and went to another store and was able to place my order in no time at all. Who knew ordering 2 balloons could be such a big task?

Dont order balloons here! I ordered 2 dozen balloons way in advance to be picked up on Saturday morning for a graduation and it was a disaster! The store was being run by a bunch of teens who were doing their best but not equipped to handle the large volume.My balloons were already deflating as they had apparently blown them up the night before. They did offer to refill them, but after waiting in the line 40 minutes I didnt have time.Horrible experience.

Zero stars. Stopped on my sons birthday this week for balloons, and the cashier said they were out of helium. Posted signs stated theres a national shortage. Asked a few questions and the cashier said that none of the Party City stores had helium and that Hyvee and Dollar Store had helium but wouldnt fill balloons unless you bought them there. NOT TRUE. I went to Hyvee thinking Id get some latex balloons for the day and order helium online for his party. The very pleasant person in the Hyvee floral department was happy to fill the foil balloons I got at Party City (although I had to spend an additional $32). She also stated they were getting 5 more tanks of helium the next day. Hmmm. Now Im wondering if Party City makes more money selling just the balloons and losing business than actually keeping helium in stock. 4 customers were there for balloons in the 5 minutes I was in the store (including me), at least 3 of which paid full price for the balloons to fill them elsewhere. Save your time.

I had a horrible visit here it was my mom and sister & I that came to the store. We were finishing up our shopping for a bridal party. The workers here were so rude to us. They were following us around the store then one worker she jst stood there and watched us the entire time. They tried rushing us out the store as well. I had gotten to a point I didnt even want to purchase what I needed to just because of the customer service and the hospitality. I am a African American and it felt as if that had something to do with it and that is sad. I will never reccomend this store!

Go to HyVee on the next shopping center over instead. This might be the most poorly run store I have ever been in. Every time I have had to step foot in this store the employees have been rude and not helpful. Balloons have NEVER been done on time. The store is run by teenagers who clearly dont know how to prepare for the day and run a good store. I would suggest cleaning house and hiring some folks with experience dealing with people.

We called in advance before going there and they told ys we could order inflatable ballons but once we got there we were told they were out of helium to inflate our balloons and now recommended we buy tanks of helium they were selling.

A bit pricey but great selection. Returns are a breeze if necessary and the staff was very funny/ friendly despite it being graduation weekend and a gang of teenagers trying to overrun the place.
