The staff members are beyond awesome! They helped me find the perfect little furry friend! :) they made me feel welcomed from the moment I stepped in, lovely people and very helpful. Not just that but the store is also super clean, everything is well organized, smells great to be a pet shop!! 10/10 highly recommend to anyone looking for a happy healthy furry friend ♥️

My husband and I had an amazing time at the Pet Land in Overland Park. George helped us through the entire process of getting our new puppy! Gorge was very nice to meet with and made sure my husband and I knew all we needed to know for our new puppy. He took extra time out of his way to discuss different products that would be best for our new puppy. Even when the store was busy he did a fantastic job with multitasking and handling all of the customers with help from his team. I would definitely recommend Pet Land in Overland Park because the store is clean, the staff are friendly and they will really help you and go the extra mile so you can take home your new pet!

Puppies are super cute and fun to play with but extremely unaffordable!!! I mean, $8,600 for a 10 week old, female, Yorkie puppy!?! Come on!!!

LOVE THIS PLACE! Its such a big store but the staff were eager to help me find what I was looking for from the moment I walked in. Only wanted some flea shampoo an instead found a bunch of stuff I never even knew existed! Left with a new litter box, some toys, a new bed, and NATURAL flea shampoo. I walk my cats and bathe them monthly so it’s nice to not have that sharp medicated smell! My boys smell like Autumn spices, just in time for fall! I will be back for sure! Might even have to get another cat or two, the kittens are too cute to resist!

Due to a rough patch in life recently me and my boyfriend decided it might help to look at puppies. It ended up working a little too well and we took home the cutest pup ever. George Morgan was extremely helpful

Sooo many adorable puppies! All of the staff was kind. George Morgan was the representative that helped us. He was extremely helpful explaining everything to us without pushing us to do or get anything we didn’t want to. Bringing our new baby girl home the same day was the easiest process!

My boyfriend and I came to the store on Monday, and were welcomed by George! He brought us the Siberian husky we came in to look at and told us everything about her. He took his time with us and went into detail about everything they offer when getting a puppy. We ended up getting her and he took us around the store and pointed out all of the good items to get this breed of dog and pointed out items that wouldn’t be good for the dog. He worked with us on what we could afford and overall did a great job! Will for sure be sending people his way.

Wow! This place is awesome. Me and the husband brought the kids here to play with the animals as a reward for good behavior. We ended up leaving with a puppy! George Morgan helped us out, he is extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much, he even simplified what he was telling me and my husband for our sons. It was so nice working with George, and if anyone needs a puppy I couldn’t recommend this store or George enough... thanks!

Nathan was Wonderful. He was very knowledgeable. He handled the dogs with such sweet care, so much to the point where I said he was going to make a great father one day. He was nothing but smiles and happiness. You can tell he really enjoys his job, takes passion in what he did.

They have expanded the selection of low quality foods and dont care about properly educating on biologically appropriate nutrition. Disappointing. Their small animals also have not had proper access to food or water during the 45 min i was there. I genuinely feel bad for the animals under their care.

The store is very clean, well stocked, helpful staff. The employees helped me right away their shelves are always stocked and prices are good. Most notable is the customer service. Staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about merchandise. No question goes unanswered and assistance is always provided. All employees clearly appear to be animal lovers. I had such amazing experience here! the customer service is very reliable and prompt in their service. the place was also very clean and organized. The puppies where so cute! I noticed that the kennels are very clean and that the workers are very on top of cleaning after the puppies! definitely would want to come back to adopt those cute puppies!!

Fist time at Petland to visit and decide to take home a cat or dog for our children... honestly the best and stress free process with the help of Julia and Stephanie. The only hard part was decided between a cat or dog but they were very patient and understanding with us. They walked us through the process of taking home our new family member. The amount of work that gets put into the pets here, the customer service, and the initial paper work signing has been such a great experience for us. Thank you for all the help that was given to us to bring home our new puppy! Cant wait to come back to continue to work with them, THEY OFFER TRAINING FOR PETS!

I love this store! I frequently come in to look at dogs and the staff is always so nice and accommodating! Especially George Morgan. He is super helpful and clearly cares about each and every animal in the store. He is always smiling and so happy to help any customer who comes his way!

Staff was friendly but puppies are WAY overpriced, $6000 lab puppy marked down to $2800 because he was ~5 months old, still ridiculous. can get a pure bred from a true reputable breeder with legitimate health history for a fraction of that price

We had the best experience. I went in to see another dog. But my son has wanted a Pug for a long time. I’ve never seen him so happy. The staff at Petland was so thorough and helpful with our questions and made sure we had everything we needed to transition our sweet girl pup home. Thank you for everything!UPDATE: Pretty disappointed to find out from the vet that this puppy has been in pain for months because she has an ocular ulcer. Now she’s on pain meds and medicine for the ulcer that was noticed and documented on 7/2021. I had no idea. No one should unknowingly spend the amount of money they charge for a sick dog. Super frustrated Petland!Second UPDATE: Test results show the puppy has Giardia.Save yourself 5k plus for a dog because they will never tell you prizes over the phone and adopt a healthy pup. They sold us this presentation above their dogs beige in the top 2%. This is far from true!

Fairy and the staff here are so friendly and knowledgeable. I feel so confident adopting our new fur baby from here! Would highly recommend if you’re looking to adopt….they have a tremendous selection of various breeds, and they are very well cared for here! I want to stay by saying that I have never left a google review before, but my experience at petland was one that deserved to be my first. I’ve never been to the store before but have been to pet smart and pet co. I went in to get food and George, whom I believe is one of the managers told me all of the downsides of hills science diet, which was a good recommended to me by the vet. He then educated me on how to look at the nutrition labels and showed me what ingredients to watch out for and what to look for. I ended up getting zignature kangaroo and what can I say, Franky my goldendoodle loves it. Not only has he been looking better (shinier coat) but he has also seemed to stop itching as much as if the food is helping with his allergies or the science diet was making them worse. After getting everything George recommended he informed me that they had one of the cutest mini golden doodles he’s ever seen. He let me hangout with the puppy in a super clean room and informed me of all of the health warranties, and the superior quality of the breeders they use. If I wasn’t going on vacation next week I would’ve taken the puppy home no doubt. All in all my experience at petland was incredible and I wanted the higher ups to know how pleasant George is and how good he is at his job. The staff was all asking him questions so I assume he is a manager but if not he needs to be! I will be adding petland to my endless to do list on my days off, and who knows I might even take him a new friend. Thank you George and thank you petland!

Have visited this location a couple of times, and it never disappoints. I was impressed by the great service, and the cleanliness of the store. Adopting my dog there was the best decision because they helped me get everything set up and ready for the new member of my family. Very happy with my experience and would recommend! 10/10

I went to this petland for the first time and was greeted by everyone I saw there. I even saw some really cute puppies there and they really give you everything you need to know about the puppy and what they come with. They give you their full time and attention and walk you though everything you need for a new furry addition to the family. This is probably the only pet store that I know that treats you like family and walks you through getting a new puppy. They matched me with my forever pup and on top of that walked me through everything I needed and taught me how to use it. These people really care about you!

Fantastic experience! Aiden was our puppy counselor, and helped us pick out our adorable fur baby, a beautiful mini-Goldendoodle! The experience did take a little longer than expected, but Aiden made it as smooth as possible! The staff were very informative, and explained the detailed pricing, and all that the price includes, making it seem like the best value in the industry. I did spend a little more than planned, but I feel every penny was worth it. Will gladly refer to anyone!

I’m not over the moon about my petland experience overall but Aidan helped me at my most recent visit or I would not have been as generous. I’m hoping the “new owner” will fix some issues moving forward. We got the puppy for a lifetime program when we purchased our sweet boy and so much of what came with it was conveniently discontinued to the point that we are wondering if it was even worth getting because seems they could just cancel the program entirely at that point. Just goes to show that nothing lasts forever so we will definitely be leery of other “lifetime” type programs in the future.I produced paperwork that showed I was supposed to have a 5% discount and was told that the new owner does not honor the discount. So glad I keep my own records too because they changed there system and didn’t even have me recorded as having purchased aPuppy the last time I came. My family is in love with our sweet fur baby so no regrets just lots of suggestions. Big shout out to Aiden for all his help as well!!

I’ve been working here for about 2 months and so far it’s has been a great experience and a great place to work at. The manager is the best and so is the people I work with. Everyone’s a hard worker and they all do an amazing job in keeping the place neat. And most important, we all care for the animals, making them our top priority. Staff was super inattentive. I walked into the store and there were only a couple customers. I was standing in front of the dogs for a good 10 minutes while the staff was hanging out in the back. I even made eye contact with someone through the glass hoping they would come out and assist me. Right when someone else walked in though, they were happy to help them. I don’t know why I was so disrespected, but I’m definitely not coming back here.

Don’t’ buy here. Pressure tactics. Not worth it. Way over priced. Within the first 10 days of purchasing the puppy I spent another $2300 in hospital bills. If this is what breeding get gets you, buy a mutt.

Peatland helped me out tremendously gudiño me through each step into adopting my first golden retriever! They gave me more than enough information about everything they have to offer and everything i would ever need in the puppy’s lifetime. i highly recommend a visit if you want a safe, reliable adoption.

Newer to the area and stopped in Petland to grab some cat food and saw the cutest little Munchkin cat and started talking to the employee to adopt it. We asked what their fee was and they said $3,500… ours jaws dropped and she assured us that all of their cats and dogs are purebred from reputable breeders!WHAT?!? I didn’t realize that pet stores were still allowed to breed animals for profit! How terrible!There are SO MANY cats and dogs in shelters in the area that would love a home. Please don’t support businesses like this. How sad…Needless to say we immediately put back our stuff and didn’t purchase anything there.And for anyone like me who didn’t realize this, go elsewhere for your pet food and supplies!

Called to learn more about a Golden Retriever. They wouldnt give any info at all by phone. Now I know why. Price!! If you have children do not go here. Theyll fall in love with a puppy only to find out that Petland charges 3 times more than reputable breeders. So spare yourself the broken hearts and temper tantrums!!!!!

This is the third petland i called .. Everyone has been super nice till I called this specific store (Petland Overland Park). As soon as they answered, the gentleman asked me what i needed, I told him I was inquiring about these puppies i saw online. He said he will get a specialist on the line. As soon as I get her on the phone. I told her the dogs i was interested in. She then said she cant give ANY info on how much they are worth over the phone ?? EVERY Petland I have called has provided me with financial information. THIS PLACE SEEMS FISHY!!!

I have bought 2 dogs from 2 different Petlands. Both experiences were great! I go to this Petland and they charge me 3 times what I paid at the other 2 stores! I really feel like they are prejudiced and only want to sale to a certain color!! They kept my $500 deposit and wouldnt even let me use it for a store credit! They are not helpful. They are not nice and I will never patronize their store again! And if youre a different color I would advise that you stay away too!!

Awesome experience, the place was clean although I did not get a puppy this time the staff greeted me and gave me some great feedback about breeds.I will for sure come back to get a puppy when the time is right!!

I get paying a premium for a pure bred dog(now maybe not this much of a premium, just find a reputable private breeder).But anyone who would pay more than $100 for a kitten needs to have their head examined. You can find a kitten in a dumpster and get it spayed and fully vaccinated/chipped for $300 tops. And itll be just as sweet and wonderful as any other kitten. The same types of kittens they had in their cages are the same type you can find at any shelter or through anyone rehomeing kittens.

Why wont they give me the price of a puppy over the phone? Ive talked to two people and they insist you make an appointment to meet the pup and then theyll discuss price and the benefits, etc. No Thanks. This is a terrible business model.
