The employees I spoke with were all very polite. The problem arose after I received the rollator. Evidently they either didn’t listen, they heard but ignored what I said or they are just plain ignorant of the products the sell. I very plainly told them I needed the rollator so I could take walks outdoors, including parks. They sent me one that works great inside my home but to go fora walk outside, I have to carry it from my front door to the road. As long as I stay on sidewalk it works. But if I want to go to the store 4 blocks away, I have to carry the walker because the store is on 6 lane highway, not safe for walkers.I hope I don’t have to deal with them again.

I wish I had read the reviews first! This was one of only two companies my insurance carrier would work with which is why I contacted them. I ordered a knee scooter for an upcoming surgery. They charged my credit card immediately BEFORE they contacted my insurance company. Turns out it wasnt covered so the rep told me she would issue a refund right away. When that didnt happen, I contacted them a couple days later. Was then told it would take 7-10 days to process and then would be credited back to my card. Well guess what. Its now been 10 days and nothing. Absolutely nothing. Ive called twice only to keep being put off. It would be helpful to get my money returned since its my money and you people arent helping! DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS COMPANY AND DONT GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT/DEBIT CARD BEFORE THEY RUN IT THROUGH YOUR INSURANCE.

This is the worst company to do business with. The customer service is terrible and when you ask to speak with a supervisor they put you on hold and then try to disguise their voice but you can tell your speaking with the same person. I got a CPAP machine from this company in 2020. They billed my insurance monthly and I paid my copays every month in 2020. I changed insurance in 2021 and when I called in January of 2021 they didn’t tell me I’m out of network with my new insurance. They said don’t worry about if and we will bill your new insurance. I didn’t find out until March that my new insurance wasn’t in network with them. They let me keep the machine until March. I returned the machine to them when I found out it wasn’t in network. Now they’re trying to charge me $214 and some change. I don’t owe them anything because they should have told me in January they wasn’t in network for my insurance. They continue to call me about the bill and I continue to tell them I don’t owe them anything. Nobody at customer service will take care of it. I spoke with them again today and they refuse to help me. After that and reading their terrible reviews I think they need to be investigated. So I will be filing a complaint with the Division of Insurance and my insurance company.

Big surprise, never received a call. So sorry mom!! They blew it and you have to stay in a lift chair for 2 more days. I didnt have a choice with suppliers as my insurance uses Apria Healthcare. I can not believe how terrible this company is. When I started having issues with them I looked at the reviews and I was stunned. How can they stay in business? The bills they submit to my insurance dont line up cost wise with what I received and they charged my credit card that was used on a prior purchase for a replacement item that was supposed to be free. After 4 phone calls to them they said they wouldnt refund my money but would credit the amount on my next purchase. No luck trying to get a Supervisor!

One of the most unprofessional companies I’ve ever had to deal with. Had a wheelchair ordered, delivered without any notification, leg rest was not long enough so they were to order another chair with longer leg extension. Delivered exact same wheel chair. Delivery guy was nice, tried to solve the problem however was unable to. New part was ordered. Called three times to find out when they would resolve the issue. Was unable to use the chair. Finally called in to have it picked up and was told that the order for the wheel chair was canceled and I never had one delivered. I have the scroll of the paperwork signed that shows it was. Was told the manager would reach out to me to resolve it. Never got a call. The company seems to be very unorganized and who even knows if there really is a manager because apparently they don’t call anyone back. Probably all kinds of medical equipment floating around in the Orlando area that was delivered but never billed for.

Then they refuse to answer any questions on services or bills, defer you a third party billing company who also can’t answer questions bc Apria is the service provider not them. This company has no idea about customer service. They do not send an invoice, but they call about my “account status.” They first want to verify my identity. They called me, and in this day and age of identity theft they have the audacity to ask people to confirm personal information on a recorded call, which is beyond irresponsible. When I ask them if my account is past due they tell me no. When I ask them if they have sent an invoice they tell me no. When I ask them to email it to me, some actually admit that the invoice hasn’t even been issued yet. Then they ask if I would like to give them my credit card number to keep on file. With their track record, why would I? I am calling my doctor to find out whether I can switch to another company. I would give this company a negative five stars if I could!

Is there somewhere to click for a negative stars rating?I have been calling them for over THREE MONTHS to get them to come pick up their equipment. Every time I make sure to relate in full detail my working schedule and that I tend to work lots of overtime so whoever is going to pickup must do so after 5pm or on the weekend and call me decently in advance so I can arrange to be home as I tend not to be due to working a lot or errands/social life. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME I come home to a call tag hanging on the door sorry we missed you (yeah right!), or I get a call from the SAME delivery driver who says Hey, Im calling to let you know Im on my way to your house. Yeah thats nice buddy, Im not there since Im at work like Ive told them AND YOU multiple times. So finally I give up and call them and say, Look, just give me the address and hours of operation and Ill work out a time Im off work, or have a mid-day doctors appt or something, and can run by and just drop it off myself. The lady starts giving me all kinds of excuses about how the logistics department doesnt schedule anything until each morning and she can put me in touch with the Logistics Mgr and I just stop her. No thanks, Ive talked to several managers and heard a ton of promises from people about how it would be taken care of, but it hasnt been, so please just give me the address and hours of operation and Ill take care of it myself. She then proceeds to give me JUST the street address. I ask for the zip code since Orlando is big and has duplicate street names in various areas, and she says, Oh Ill have to look that up online, I dont have that information. Im in Daytona. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?!?! Sigh. So then I ask for the hours of operation AGAIN. She says, they are open until 5pm. At this point Im bruising my tongue from biting it so much. Sigh. Ok, and what time do they open? HOW IS THIS COMPANY STILL IN BUSINESS?!?!?! I dont think I have ever dealt with a company that was so far from having it together that I had to struggle to get a full address and hours of operation from a person paid to handle customer calls.

It is no wonder insurance costs are sky high. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. They told me my insurance would cover the monthly rental for a c-pap. It did. I changed jobs and new insurance will not so I was going to buy the machine out. I asked how much would I need to pay to keep the machine. They said 15 months remaining at $136 per month for $2040.00! The EXACT same machine is $879 (highest price) and best price I found was $689 for everything, shipping, supplies the works. I told the person that they can take it back but then it is used, I would gladly purchase for somewhere between the $689 and $879. She said, and this just rocked my world, why would we sell it to you for that price when the insurance companies will pay us $2400? No wonder our healthcare is all $%^&%%$ up. Companies like this collude with the insurance companies to inflate prices and then stick it to the consumer when and where they can. I will not even mention their incompetence, lack of service, or ATTITUDES, of the people. Dealing with them on the phone, (in the Philippines no less) is a nightmare. I exceeded my character limit on my original post. So, short story, last Saturday (5/11/19), my husband and I were expecting to get a biliblanket for our daughter (now 10 days old) to treat her jaundice. Apria dropped the ball over and over again, making it look like we were stupid, or just lying to them. Because of the fact that they couldnt get it together, on Sunday, May 12, 2019, we had to take our daughter back to the hospital we had just been discharged from that Friday, and she was admitted to get UV treatments. My very first Mothers Day, I had to spend it in the hospital, watching my baby girl being hooked up to various machines, and three UV lights working their magic to do the job a biliblanket from Apria was supposed to do from the comfort of our own home. Do yall understand how hard it is to see your baby girl with IVs in both hands so the hospital can make sure she has enough fluids to not get dehydrated by UV lights? I mean, the IV I had placed in one hand hurt bad enough, but she had one in each hand. Thankfully, she was able to be discharged on Wednesday afternoon, but we lost half a week of bonding as a family thanks to having to be back in the hospital. My husband couldnt deal with it, so was home the majority of her stay.I would NEVER recommend Apria to anyone! And my heart goes out to everyone who has no choice but to work with them. They are by far the WORST company I have ever had to deal with. I never write reviews, but this company really screwed up to the point where it seriously effected my daughters health. And to whoever replies to these reviews from Apria, dont bother. I dont want your sorry excuse for an apology. Unless your company is going to pay the bill for my daughters NICU stay, then I dont want to hear from you. This is a beyond horrible company to do anything with. If I could give negative stars for this review I would because even 0 would be a rating them too high. After 6 weeks of them supplying my sons medical supplies we called insurance and begged to switch to any other company. Lets go through several examples of their incompetence. At least 7 times Apria called us to say an important piece of equipment or supply was to be delivered that day. At the end of the day when that item was not delivered I would call and Apria, would tell me they had no record of it being ordered.I was expecting one of the most important pieces of medical equipment for my son. I was called and told it would be delivered that day. By 10:30 that night it had not been delivered. I called and Apria told me according to their records it was. It is a 2 foot tall machine I would notice if it was there or not. They started arguing with me that I was not looking for it hard enough and that it must have been left at the door. Which, thanks for leaving a very expensive piece of equipment just at the door and not making sure someone was home to sign for it. When I finally convinced them it wasnt there they said it would be there first thing in the morning. It took another 2 days for it to show up.My son uses a feeding pump, the one he had was not holding a charge, fine when plugged in but not holding a charge. I called to have it switched out. Tech showed up saying he would take it and the new one would be delivered by fed ex later that day. I asked for a tracking number which he could not provide, and I told him he will not take it until the new one arrives. How is he supposed to eat without the pump? Of course the new pump didnt show up till the following evening. So due to Aprias pathetic logistics abilities my son could have gone without food for 36 hours.Apria sent the wrong food for my son. They admitted they sent the wrong stuff. I was then told they were going to send me a bill for the stuff they erroroniously sent to me.I am still waiting on some oxygen probes I ordered from them 6 weeks ago that I am told everytime I call will be delivered within the next 3 days. These are just the ones off the top of my head.Bottom line is this, you have to actively try to be this incompetent at what you do. At this point I am convinced they have daily meetings on how to provide awful service to their customers. I have never dealt with a company this bad. This includes all banks, cable/phone companies, anything. They are simply the worst. If your insurance company suggests them ask for another company because that company cant possibly be worse than Apria.I have asked my insurance company to look into their relationship with them. First I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to write reviews about their personal experiences with Apriea Healthcare. I was working with CareCentrix/Cigna to obtain a knee-scooter. After a two-week wait, I began researching online to purchase one. I received a call from an Unknown number, and a message from a person with a very thick foreign accent who directed me to call a number to set up a delivery. The person did not state the name of the company, or identify who was calling. I called the number to have another person with a thick foreign accent, answer the call. She identified the company. After asking for my name, she asked for my debit card information. (Please, keep in mind that this piece of equipment is covered 100% by Cigna, and all billing is to be conducted through CareCentrix, and not a third company.) As I was asked for this personal financial information, I googled Apria Healthcare, and discovered that many complaints were posted regarding their billing policies. Not sure if Apria was an online re-targeting scam, I refused to give them the information, and called CareCentrix to complain. By all means, this company has too many incompetent people with limited communication skills working for it! I will do without the equipment before I deal with this company!

I told them that this is a matter of life and death, as i could stop breathing in my sleep, or go back in to A-Fib, and the person on the other end flat out said that it is not their problem, as i am not yet in their system. I read other reviews and thought, maybe that these were special one off cases, however it seems they are very well versed in not caring if their customers with life threatening issues dies or not, and they do not even hesitate to tell you that they do not care if you die due to their negligence. I am not worried though, as this will be the downfall of this company, when someone actually does die due to complications of not being treated correctly by them, and they are shut down.
