So pleased with the convenience of renting a truck for just a couple hours. Its like having a buddy with a truck.

In conjunction with a recent move, I’ve had numerous transactions with this location. Even though some of the transactions were accompanied by hiccups, the employees did a fantastic job of resolving the issues and maintained an engaging and pleasant attitude. This has not been my experience dealing with many other UHaul locations.

Rented a trailer for one day, charged for two. Refused to reverse the charges even with proof that the trailer was dropped off on time. All this and they didn’t even give me the correct trailer to begin with.

The price to rent out-state one-way truck is $4k -$9k thats not including the vehicle tow trailer!! One could just buy their own trailer or box truck, then sell it when you get to their destination. Or better yet just sell all your belongings and load your car and buy new when you get to your new home. Rentals shouldnt be comparable to the closing cost on a new home they are trying to move to, 🤦 thats not including additional costs like: gas, ins, food, hotel nights, and maybe a tow dolly for the vehicle. Ive used U-haul for all my state moves for over 2 decades and have been 100% pleased and grateful for U-hauls service. The perks of renting is that road side assistance (but so does your own ins). In less the 4yrs its jumped thousand of dollars to move one-way and it doesnt include gas, hotel, food etc the customer has to pay during their travel. Ive been reviewing all avenues of a cross country move and moving companies are a comparable pricing, but they pack, load it, and deliver it.I say Uhaul has the win for 50mile radius moving; but lose for the one-way out of state rentals. When you realize how much of the whole moving experience is the customer expense n responsibility.

Big fan of my experience here. I just wish hours were 24/7 as closing at 7 on Sundays for example can be quite the headache for patrons.

A man that I was in a relationship with years ago forced me to give him my debit card june 30 and go into this haul said $50 was just needed on a hold to rent A haul. After that I never heard from him again there was an 80 something dollar hold on my account I understood that though probably fall off which it did 4 days later . I was charged this all started by 2nd week in July I called not only my bank but u-haul let them know that for some reason this card is still attached and it needs to be removed. The man I spoke with with uhaull assured me the card was no longer attached although he could give me no more information he told me that the card was no longer attached I even called my bank amd asked.to make sure.the card was removed they said they dont do that. . The man who forced me to use his card,Ive never heard from this man again he up and robbed me and left. After my bank said suspicious activity on around 23rd this month, I cancelled my debit, come to.find out uhual was STILL using my card to try to charge over a grand , which I didnt have in my account so it declined. Then 3 weeks after this man took off, the uhual successfully drained my account of over 460 dollars. Even after I cancelled my. Bank card. The uhual refused to have empathy or assist. The woman who works in the shop had no respect or empathy. Not only will they refuse to refund me and charge the man responsible for all this, they refused to give me an itemized bill of what I was paying for. they said they had to tow the uhaul because the man never returned it but they wouldnt tell me where or anything details even though they charged me. They said its not their problem its a civil matter. I cant get them to give me the address where they found the truck so I can tell the police. Nobody I know will ever use their service after all this. Such a huge entity that was capable of giving the single mother with a drained checking her money back , and fully charge the man responsible instead, but said its physically impossibleIve never felt so disgusted with a company. I needed that money to feed my.kids. side.note, my Bank said that they Deal only with fraud and domestic violence isnt their problem, and said best of luck to me. And that was it.

Uhaul changed the appointment from a Tuesday to a Thrusday because of parts so when I arrived they could not install the hitch on that Tuesday. I had already made arrangements to pick up a trailer that evening. I ended up re-scheduling for the next week and spending a extra $140 to rent the truck. Their install time was over 4hrs causing us to miss a doctors appointment for my wife.Review update.Last week I had my Trailer Hitch put in by U-Haul. Well I could not find the wiring plug for the lights anywhere.Today I went to U-haul and found out that they place the harness inside the vehicle of SUVs and not near the hitch. The service person proceeded to open the back of my jeep, open a panel that I would never opened unless I had a electrical problem and pulled out this cord.Then she tells me that you just close the hatch on it. I am then told that is the way they do it now. I tell her that is the stupid way to do it.Maybe I am as little old fashion or maybe I just see a problem with a cord being shut in a access hatch then a hatch back door to be attached to a overland trailer on a trail rated Jeep instead of placing the connector on the hitch frame where it belongs.I am pretty sure the wiring is going to rub on the door frames causing a shorting hazard and also wear the weather striping on the door.Poor work U-haul. I should of done like I normally would do on one of my new vehicles and just installed it myself the right way.

This U-Haul is in a good location. My husband I rented one of the caravan and it was really clean, exactly what we needed for our moving needs. The staff on the phone and in the store were both helpful and professional. My only concern is that the store line was very long and it took quite some time to get to the front desk. The phones were also ringing off the hook. The price for renting the caravan was appropriate and when we move again we will be using U-haul. The parking lot is kind of strange and on the side street so dont get lost driving around in circles like I did.

Extremely disrespectful! The manger, Danielle, is rude and yells at customers. She doesnt hold her employees accountable to anything and they are also rude and disrespectful (such as Caitlin). She doesnt bother with anything. If she doesnt have the energy to help you out, as soon as you walk in, she will go in the back and make you wait. Tristan doesnt know anything about anything. He is always playing games on his phone and doesnt care how long the lines are.Fire them all

Update store hours. Tried calling before 6pm and didnt get an answer for at least 15 minutes before I figured they had stopped accepting calls for the day.

Totally quick and friendly even at 7 AM. I was hooked up and out of there faster than expected. Hauled a car from Tacoma to Olympia for a fraction of the cost of hiring a tow truck.

I had a trailer hitch ordered and installed during a global pandemic, which is a huge service. The folks here were communicative and helpful getting the hitch I needed and the installation was quick and expertly done. Highly recommended.

Danielle and Caitlin are so chaotic, I wouldnt trust them with anything! I submitted a complaint against them to corporate and truly hope they get fired.

If I could give a lower score, I very much would.I went by this location yesterday to reserve a van for a few hours today.Yesterday, I was treated as to be expected. Today, I walked in to pick up my van, and the young man who helped me, was not only RUDE, but condescending as well.As I went to inspect the van, for dings, scratches, etc... I saw what I believe to be dried blood. It covered the entire van floor, and had dripped down on to the sides and steps of the van. It also had a fool smell. I told both customer service agents inside. They both said, that was strange, because its a new van.The young man who was helping me said, they dont ding or charge customers for strange smells. I complained again about the blood, he kept saying it wasnt blood, that he couldnt smell the smell I was referring to, but admitted he had a cold, but again, they dont charge customers for returning their vehicles with bad odors. Not to worry about it because they have a black rubber mat to cover the stain in the van.I asked for another vehicle, but he insisted they didnt have another one for rent, and if I cancelled now, I would be charged. Since I had people waiting on me to move this new bed, I took the van.The people helping me move the bed, made several comments on if this van was used for a mass murder or hunting. I told them what the young man had said, and they said, they also believed it to be blood.Two of them followed me back to return the van.The woman who assisted in moving the bed asked the young man who helped me earlier why they would rent this out with out cleaning the back of the van, and getting the blood out. The young man had said, again, it wasnt blood. Hes had vans come back that had been used for hunting, he has seen blood, and this was something else, that just looked like blood.Never apologizing for renting me a vehicle in that condition, or asking if he could rent me something else, since I was in a bind to get my new mattress picked up.Since there was no one with authority there for me to talk with, I am posting this to warn people about the conditions of their vehicles and their rude customer service.

Rented a truck and tried to use the online contactless check in. Wasn’t working so had to go inside. No employees were wearing masks. There was a small sheet of plexiglass in between the employees and myself at the register though that doesn’t negate the need for a mask. And upon asking them to mask up, only one of the two employees did so. Renting from this location was not a safe experience.

Good but during my lock down and my money stolen my car damage my keys stolen cancer in my family and my nephew and his son had the virus i can not go any but to buy food out for 30 minute they want me to clean out my stuff

WOW So sad to see such bad reviews!! I rent from them often. A couple times a year. I have always had very helpful store employees helping. Never have I been over charged. Its always quick and easy to pick up the trailer and drop it off.

Woman behind counter was rude regarding my friend whom is a paying customer with them currently wanting to upgrade too. She needs to take her money elsewhere in my opinion. That lady had a very terrible attitude. Felt like we were an inconvenience and annoying her. Her tone and everything out her mouth was said rudely and with a smug attitude. I will never consider renting from them or asking for any of the services they provide. Id rather pay someone else 50 bucks more if I had to. Their prices arent anything special anyways. Its sad when you feel offended and its not even you thats dealing with them. No customer service what so ever. Didnt get her name but it was a lil past 3 pm saturday. So boss put that chick with beanie somewhere in the back before you lose anymore future business. After witnessing that interaction I didnt bother discussing doing business with them myself like I planned. Ill go somewhere else for sure and take my friend with me if she is smart. They advertise that they fill propane 7 days a week. A guy that was working told me they dont have time at the moment. They close in 20 minutes. This is why this store gets one star. I probably screwed myself on getting them filled at another store by taking the time to write this post. Just wanted to let people know about the lack of customer service here at this store. .

We made our reservation for a trailer at the Harrison Avenue location for three days and were given the total. The day we were supposed to get trailer, we received a call stating that we had to go to this location to pick it up. Upon arrival, we were told we could only have the trailer for three days if we purchased insurance - its illegal in WA to require the purchase of secondary/additional insurance if you yourself already have full coverage. Then we were informed that the price would be more than price given at the Harrison Avenue location. We needed the trailer so we agreed to the insurance permitting they adjust the price back to what was originally quoted and reserved. Upon hooking up the trailer we realized the lights did not work (we haul with our truck quite a bit and never have issues with lights.) We pointed this out to the employee assisting, asked for a different trailer for safety purposes, and the employee outright refused stating that that is the only trailer we can give you even though there were others on the premises. Again, we needed the trailer so we decided to not fight this. Since we have had the trailer we have received harassing phone calls about returning the trailer to this location even though all the paperwork states its a one-way rental and how we were supposed to return it earlier than what we reserved it for. I can only assume they either entered our entire transaction into their system incorrectly or they do not honor their rental agreements. The employees we have encountered were not helpful nor were they friendly. We contacted U-haul corporate regarding this subpar service in hopes these issues can be rectified for future renters. We will not be renting from this company again.

I had nothing but good service from these guys. My truck was ready for pickup and it only took a few minutes. Turn in was quick as well without any hidden charges. My phone calls throughout the day were answered promptly and the staff that helped me were all friendly and helpful.

Poor Customer Service. I only got as far as calling for a quote - which they would not give me because I declined to give my email address. I said if I couldnt get a quote without providing an email address I would just go with Budget as they gave me an upfront quote when I called. The guy on the phone simply said ok have a nice day then. So collecting my email addresses to spam me is more important than getting my business? Budget rentals here I come.

Average people like you or me trying to make a living. Arrogant, rude and entitled feeling customers that demand service like condescending eighteenth century French Aristocracy that you want to push out of the way so you can get your propane tank filled. Staff great but other customers typical pushy Americans that expect more service than they deserve. Nice staff.

I have only used U HAUL twice. Both times I got overcharged by them debiting my card without notice or authorization. I would recommend anyone to distance from using them and look at Budget Truck rentals. Far better deals, more flexible and more important, good business ethics. All of which U Haul lacks. I tried legal court action against them, and they brought a manageress who knew nothing about my rental, lied in court and got off free. Now I am holding them liable with my credit card company.

I stopped by to pick up a class 3 hitch for my 2006 Honda Element, they had one in stock and it was about $135, Ive read that U-Haul sells high quality hitches for very reasonable prices and Im going to have to agree. I did have an issue when I got home and discovered the hitch was missing all the bolts!I tried to call and I was frustrated that calls go to the call center not the branch, but my rating doesnt reflect that because Im reviewing this specific branch, not U-Haul in general.I showed up the next morning and explained what happened and the employees were very apologetic, and the gentleman who was working with me looked up the hitch kit in his system and there were some branches with it in stock 30-40 minutes away. He said he would drive up to them to pick up a kit and get me my bolts that same day, probably back about 1:00 and hed give me a call.Right about 1:00 I got a call saying they had the bolts and I dropped by to pick them up, I did installation myself and it was nice and smooth with the supplied instructions and Im happy with my new hitch!I was disappointed that I got a hitch with no bolts but the way the employees at this branch handled the situation was impressive, I would happily return to this branch in the future.

Staff works hard, but has no direction and lack knowledge of their products, management needs to be trained or replaced. Zero leadership. Appointments and extensions made online or through Uhauls national scheduling center MAY NOT BE HONORED so be wary.

Horrible customer service on the phone and at the store. told me they had it in stock went to go get it they said oh you talked to the call center. We will have to order that, i said no i called the store an told them i was on the way to pick it up. got to the store waited 10 min to be acknowledgedto be told it had to be ordered.

If I could give 0 stars I would have.This nightmare began when we called to see if they would deliver the U-Containers to your area. The first lady told us yes, for $70 they would pick up and deliver 3 Containers. Weve used this service before and knew this wasnt correct so we stopped in to get a paper quote from someone. That lady told us yes they could deliver to your area, only to find out they couldnt. No other moving service like PODS would work with us due to your location so we decided to rent a truck and load the Containers at the facility. When we arrived for the truck the guy who helped us couldnt have been more obvious he hates his job, rolling his eyes at us because he couldnt find out reservation despite us having the confirmation number, not giving us the correct lot for your truck, and didnt explain any paperwork.We planned on loading the containers on Sunday, this was reserved weeks in advance with no issues. They called us 20 minutes before out reservation to tell us they didnt have a forklift driver and we would have to load Monday, I told them that wouldnt work because we were leaving at 6AM Monday. In a matter of 5 minutes when we arrived they magically found a driver and he had 2 of the 3 Containers ready for us (so they obviously had a driver on site). We went to go load the Containers and one was lag bolted shut and the other one didnt even have the latch to secure it and had Do Not Ship written all over it. It took them 20 minutes to replace the two Containers. We finished loading and went to go let them know they could move the Containers because we were done. The lady told me they dont usually let people load on the weekends (BS) so they would deal with the Containers Monday when her manager got in. We had to tell them were paying for secure storage and on the side of the building along the road is not secure, we waited for about 30 minutes for the forklift driver to move the Containers.Due to the unprofessionalism of the store from start to finish we filed a complaint with corporate and were told that within 48 hours the manager would call us, a week went by no phone call (big shocker). When I finally got a manager he told me I had to retell the entire scenario, after I was done he said What do you want me to do to fix it. I explained a partial refund would be nice and to talk to his employees about being more professional and knowing policies (we already know he wont but no one should have this much added stress to moving). He said he would give a small refhnd, that was a week ago, still no refund (no shocker). Just called and the lady said he will give us a call, we already know he wont and we will have to go back to corporate again.Weve used Uhaul before both trucks and Containers and have never ever had such horrible customer service or experience. I would avoid this location, theyre not all like this but this one shouldnt even be open. Were just thankful once we get the refund we will never have to deal with any of these people again.

Horrible! I had a hitch and light wiring installed. Lights do not work and have been back 4 times trying to get them to look at it. Either no one there capable or too busy. I tried to schedule an appointment and was told it wasn’t needed if I come in at 7:00. Arrived at 7:00 and told I need an appointment. Don’t go here!

Reserved a truck, went to get it and the brakes had an issue. Went to get another, and they couldnt get one. Told if I wantes a much smaller one that I had to pay now or risk losing it. I was told I had to drive 60 miles out of my way, zero miles comped, to get thw smaller truck. Counter people were very rude and had an indifferent attitude about my move being offset by an entire day. I will never use this uhaul again.

Confirmed twice that they installed third party hitches. Once with corporate and another with them personally. They took down credit card information and scheduled the appointment. Came in today for said appointment and got turned away saying they dont install third party hitches. A waste of gas and time.

Online uhaul said they would rent me a car trailer got there and they wouldnt. Rude employees. Uhaul of Olympia left me stranded. Dont rent from these jerks they suck all the way around.

Made an appt online to have a tow hitch installed on our minivan. The online reservation stated it would be a 30 min-1 hr job. Arrived at the set time and they told me it would be four hours. Rescheduled again since I had my children with me and couldn’t wait four hours in their store. I rearranged plans and childcare for our second appt and they called that morning and said they couldn’t open their bay doors and cancelled on us. Rescheduled for a third time (again having to cancel plans and arrange for childcare since this is our family vehicle) and they called 30 minutes before our appt and said they no longer had the wiring harness in stock and couldn’t do the job. Such a frustrating experience and will never do business with them again and highly recommend others to look elsewhere if they actually want a job completed!

The gal who is answering the phones there is causing this place to lose business. I needed a very small storage room for now and a moving truck for later. She gave me my quote for the storage room. And I asked for a quote on the truck. Her exact response was: Well based on what youve told me, you dont need a moving truck. Hmm... in that case, I guess youre right. I dont not from YOU. I expected a specific answer to a specific question. Not what you think I need. I know what I need. So I will be going with someone else thanks.

Really want to leave 0 stars. Bad service. Bad vehicles. The employees are not helpful and rude. Moving is stressful as it is to have these guys in your process is a bad idea. Highly recommend doing business elsewhere.

Worst service, very rude, took 8 hours from our appointment time to even start installing our hitch system, then upon inspecting it we found they did not finish and were missing parts which once told to the service member their response was that person who installs them isnt in today we have to install the rest of it ourselves. Very disappointed, we came to this specific location 20 miles away just because of the high reviews.

I was told there was one available and that I could pick it up between 10am-5pm, (I was never asked about what I was towing, or what I was towing with). I arrived there around 1030 and waited in the longest U-haul line Ive ever encountered, (approx 30 mins). When it was finally my turn: (Conversation below)Uhaul guy: What can I help you with?Me: I called earlier and requested a tow dolly.Uhaul guy: Sorry, but we dont have any.Me: But I called earlier and reserved one.Uhaul guy: I dont know what to tell you, but we dont have anything.Me: So what the F**k, how was I able to call and reserve one?(He turned the monitor around so I could see the availability, to which I noticed my last name in a green bar)Me: Theres my name and reservation right there.Uhaul guy: (clicks open reservation) Oh, you need just the 2 wheel tow dolly?Me: Yea, thats why Im hereUhaul guy: So what are towing with it?Me: 03 Chevy BlazerUhaul guy: You know I can refuse you service for providing false information.Me: What false Info did I give you?Uhaul guy: Says here youre towing a 92 Buick with an F-150 and you told me just now you were towing a Blazer.Me: I never said any of that, and Im very curious how you even got that information.Uhaul guy: Well either way, the blazer is a rear wheel drive and I cant rent you this dolly.Me: So I drove all the way here for nothing?Uhaul guy: Well I can see what they have in Aberdeen (which is about 25 miles away)Me: Sure, I guess if thats my only option.Uhaul guy: Well can you step aside so I can help the next costumer?Me: (Shrugging my shoulders because he didnt finish assisting me after waiting there for nothing.)Me: waited for about a minute and gave up and left.This is my first bad review Ive ever left for anything due to how aggravated I was with the service I received. He was very rude and treated me like a criminal for someone else mistake. Luckily a friend was willing to ditch his plans and spend his entire Sunday helping me go retrieve my vehicle.

I went into uhaul to have a hitch installed on my car. I received a quote and paid it, when I got my car back they charged extra without consulting me first then gave me some bs excuse that it was a production supply cost. Is this seriously how you run a business? Theyre very dishonest people.

Will never rent here again - would drive to Seattle first! Truck I rented was piece of very tired iron, beat up with nearly 200,000 miles and a very loose frontend (wobble). Also, I wrongly trusted the documentation that the tank in the truck was full when I left. After getting the vehicle on level ground it had less than 7/8 of a tank. I drove it a total of 19 miles and it took 8 gallons of gas to fill it up. Next, when I returned the the general manager scoffed when I told him where I parked the truck. He arrogantly stated I missed the sign for returning vehicles and put it in the wrong location (he was wrong, the sign was turned around the wrong way off the side street). In the scope of all things of the world - not a big deal but there are too many other choices out there for truck rentals and they will not get my business again.

Make reservations in advance. If youre renting on a Friday or Saturday be prepared for a 45 minute wait.
