Took my moms car to repair the exhaust pipe. The owner of the shop said it needed a new muffler and hed put one in for $280. I new that the muffler was ok and told him I only wanted to fix the pipe. He reluctantly quoted $180, said it would take him an hour. I thought it was pretty steep, but ok. We agreed on $160 cash. In 18min the pipe was fixed and the car was ready to go. I said to him, are you charging me $160 for 20min of work ($480 an hour)? Yes he said, you agreed to the price. He said, I can take the whole thing off if you dont want it. I felt ripped off. The guy is a crook. Stay away.
