I love large shallow bowls. I dont know if there is a name for them, usually about 10 in diameter but only about 3 tall. Theyre perfect for rice and noodle dishes. When a bowl i had used for 15 years finally broke i tried really hard to find a replacement.Luckily, I found Chanco. While I didnt find an exact replica (which makes sense since it was originally purchased in 2009ish), I found multiple great alternatives at good prices.They have a huge selection of serveware. They have plastic and paper to-go containers, reusable plastic bowls and plates glass, glass Tupperware and higher end ceramic plates and bowls.Service was friendly, and accept credit card. Parking was easy for China Town: They have an underground parking garage next door which is only like $2 for an hour, but the first hour is waived if you buy more than $20 in their store. Good deal!

Wow. Way better than Daiso for dishes and kitchen gear. Full aisles of dishes. Full isle of coffee and tea gear. Awesome amount of Japanese dishes and cups. Gorgeous selection, and also tons of cute stuff too... cats, pugs, fish, leaf designs etc

They have huge collection of dinnerware for us to choose, from Korean style to Japanese, and Europe event they said on sale for retailers but everyone can stop by and buy here, i think it is cheaper than supermarket ( not sure through) they have their own parking for free down basement

I like it. All the attributes and characteristics of a well stocked restaurant wares supply house (not food), but with a decided flare to pan-Asain cuisine. Satay skewers, special tea filters, clay pots, wanabe, sushi boats, hangiri, joss sticks; if it has to do with Eastern styled food and beverage preparation and dining ambience they probably have it. It is clean, well lighted, wide aisles, everything is priced, high end high quality items and plastic stuff, staff are attentive and helpful.

I just found out that Chanco is still open and I am thrilled! I last visited during the covid shutdown and thought they had gone under (knock on wood) because it was boarded up; thank goodness it was just temporary. I really love this place and make it a point to stop in any time Im in Oakland. They have a small parking lot thats free to customers and a vast selection of dinnerware, home-cook and professional kitchen tools and equipment. Great place, great value, reminds me of the mom and pops shops in my neighborhood growing up, but a little bigger.

A great kitchen supply store. They have a huge selection of home goods, especially dishes – any kind of plate and bowl youd need will be there. While a lot of their stuff is restaurant focused, plenty is perfectly suited for the home. Staff are also super helpful.

I love this store, amazing supply and emmese selections for kitchens of any size. Be careful (sarcastic), everything is so cheap I ended up spending WAAAAY more than I thought, but I got a full dinner set for 8, coffee press, tea infuser pot and more for less than one place setting at Macys, maybe even Target! Tons of designs and decals textures and materials galore! Oh, and did I mention their kitchen gadget selection? I didnt even go down those isles,. I know better, Id be broke. This place is a home cook and entertainers paradise. AND they are locally owned/operated, so if you live live local, shop local!

An amazing store run by an amazing woman. I live directly above Chanco and enjoy running downstairs for anything we need. Several months ago I was part of a restaurant opening in the area and purchased many items and was very pleased with pricing! Its hard to beat!

The labels they use on the bowl and plate are is tough to completely peel off and the glue marks stayed there after I washed the dishes couple times.

Really adorable dishes at a super great price. The staff is super nice and always helpful. Plus they validate parking in the garage.
