They processed the order regardless of closing at 630. I traveled out to the location to learn that it isn’t even the pastry shop. πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ They need to be transparent or better explain their business operation. What a waste of my time.

Got 6 of the donuts on Doordash for a birthday and they were DELICIOUS. Some of our donuts didnt look like the picture of the one we got but looked like a different donut.. but it TASTED like the correct donut. Not sure if our order was wrong or the donuts were just made differently. Definitely want to get from here again and buy a cupcake next time.

Discovered Mochill at its SF location. This was my first time picking up from the Oakland location. Placed my order online about an hour before I wanted to pick up. They had my order at the counter on time. Theres short-term parking on the side of the building. The building now has a giant mural on it and is named Oakland Food Hall. Now, about the donuts -- delicious and unique! Pictured L-R, starting w/ top row: Mango, PB&J, Chocolate, Choc Almond; Cookies & Cream, PB&J, Strawberry, Gummy Bear; Cookies & Cream, Fruity Pebbles, Fruity Pebbles, and Smores. Theyre all tasty, and with the ball sections, they are easy to split and share with others. My faves are the fruit flavors (Mango, Strawberry, Fruity Pebbles), but Ill eat them all. :) Glad to have this location as an option!

Extremely long wait time!! Great mochi cupcakes and donuts but the establishment should have been upfront about the long wait time! They should have warned customers in advance that the cupcakes were made to order and that it would take upwards of 30-60 minutes for walk ins. Wish their communications would have been more direct.

After reading the reviews, figured the fastest way to get the donuts is to order online. So I did. Got a text that the donuts were ready at the time that I chose. Gave me a locker number for pickup. As everyone mentioned, its at the Oakland Foodhall building, parked at the temporary lot next to the building. Got my donuts at the designated locker door. This was a quick and efficient process. The price has gone up since the SF store opened 2 years ago, then it was $12 for a dozen. I guess they have to compensate for all the 21 flavors they now have. I got the half dozen. All six flavors were great: curry salt, mango, hochicha, takoyaki, cookies n crm, taro. Cant find more unique flavors than this place. Will definitely come back to try other flavors.

This visit to Mochill Mochi Donut was occasioned by a Yelp Γ‰lite Squad event. Located in a cloud kitchen - multiple businesses offering takeout & delivery only; not a food hall, no seating on-site, Jingletown Eats in the perfect food-creation solution during a pandemic.Rushing home to feast on the donuts whilst theyre as fresh as could be, heres my order, ranked from most satisfying:Curry Salt - a savory donut is always an unusual treat and one with Indian flavors is doubly so. The texture of the donut combined with dry curry spice and salt is a joy. It could be immeasurably improved with a drizzle of Major Greys Chutney (as the PB&J has drizzled jelly).Peanut Butter Jelly - absolutely convincing was the comment I heard, spoken with a full mouth :-) The drizzle of jelly over the donut gave a bang of flavor and a wonderful moist texture.Nutella - a really satisfying blend of sweet hazelnut and donut. Die-hards could probably survive on a box of only Nutella donuts (although at a cost of missing the other interesting flavors).SMores - close, but no cigar because a dire lack of graham cracker flavor. There were crumbs atop this donut so perhaps its just that there wasnt enough to make this a truly satisfying smore donut.Dark Chocolate - this one had my highest hopes, being a lover of the dark, but there wasnt enough chocolate and as it was presented we felt it was a failed Γ©clair. This one needs a tweaking.Note that Mochill donuts are about half the volume of traditional donuts, which I wouldve shown in a photo if any other donuts had survived long enough...

First if this is your first time here...you will get lost lol. Just look for all the cars double parked. Second order ahead because it isnt one of those walk-in type establishment. (Dunno if this place is always like this). The mochi was great. Chewly and delicious. These are dangerous, you can eat all of them by yourself. The cupcakes were good but I prefer the donuts. Definitely would get again.

HEADS UP: this is not a storefront, it is a pick-up location only. That being said, these have got to be my new favorite donuts! The chewy texture from the rice flour really sets these apart as well as the variety of flavors.

Ive had mochi donuts from a number of places, and I so far, Mochill is my favorite. I really liked the fruity flavors (Im a fruity guy, okay?) like the mango and strawberry. My parents really liked the black sesame because it wasnt too sweet. Overall, very impressed with the donuts! Its a little bit far from my house, so I dont know if Ill be coming here all that often, but if they had Fremont or even South Bay location, Mochill would be my go-to donut place for all events and occasions. The physical location was easy to find, parking was plenteous, and the pickup process itself was streamlined and pleasant. The only downside is that the app I used to order these donuts (ChowNow) was a bit unwieldy. I accidentally messed up my order (my fault) but was unable to cancel it online and had to call ChowNow, which had to in turn call Mochill to get my order canceled. But overall, would come here again if I am nearby!

Its located in a shared kitchen type of building called Jingletown Eats. It seems there is one pick up window for all the businesses located inside but none of them are advertised because it is for order ahead/pick up only. This is not a store front so nothing is displayed! You give your name at the pick up window and your order is handed to you. My donut order was ready within 10 minutes of ordering online through Google/ChowNow.

It’s not like the san francisco location where you pick it up on the spot. Also it’s pricier than sf. Sf one charges you 12$ for 6 piece and $24 for 12 piece. This location charges 36$ for 12 piece plus tips and tax so it came up to 40$+ which is ridiculous. This place also has other food stuff so it takes forever to get ready. Not coming back.

I just got these delivered via doordash for my husbands birthday and they are so delicious! The flavors are so creative! My favorite is the fruity pebbles one. The cereal is still really crispy on top and the overall donut is not too sweet. This is a perfect balance between mochi and donut. The texture is fluffy like a regular donut on the outside but as you keep eating it has this lovely chewiness. Will definitely come back here!

I cant say Ive tried every mochi donut in the bay area, but these are my favourite by far. Light, not overly chewy, and great flavours. Oakland is my preferred stop as they have all the flavours and you can order ahead. Note, you want to order in advance or youll be waiting. I typically place mine before they open. For the sf location, there are far fewer flavours each day and its first come, first serve.

One hour wait for 6 donuts and Im still empty handed. This place is ridiculous. Other mochi donut places in the bay are literally eating their lunch. MoDo was cranking out like 25 every few minutes. If they give me the recipe I can make them at home faster than this place

My small order for 12 mochi donuts was late over 1 hour and 10 minutes from my specified pick up time. In addition, I made my order 1 hour in advance prior to pick up. I tried calling the Mochill phone number on the ChowNow order to get a status update and check if there were any technical issues, but no one picked up. If I known it would take that long I wouldn’t have order and waste my time waiting there. An improvement the business can make is to provide how much time in advance an order has to be made prior to pick up and be considerate of your customer’s wait time.Heads up, there’s limited parking here and the location is in a high crime rate area.
