Im a woodworker who sharpens my own chisels and other tools that require it. Cooks knives are a challenge for me for reasons unknown. So I sought out a pro. And was I fortunate to find the folks at Bernal. Not only did they do it (I only had one that was a problem) on the spot for a reasonable price, their little store is packed with a very impressive selection of high quality kitchen cutting tools and an abundance of knowledge and information about them all. They are nice people, as well.My seach is over. Could not recommend them more highly!

I originally went to window shop due to already having quite a few good knives. Ended up leaving with a Dao Vua spring steel gyuto. Will be going back to sate my obsession again soon. I see a new AS steel knife in my future now to decide which one. Also they were very patient even though I took so long to decide, and probably seemed a little weird due to my being extremely tired.

Best place in the bay to buy high end knives. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable
