Undeniably the best in the Bay Area, according to visits I made all across metro SF couple years ago. May not be true today but it’s still shockingly fab. Go every couple weeks to Oakland store to stock my larder. πŸ§€πŸ₯©πŸ·

What a treat to shop in this store! Very unique spices and sauces. I shopped the deli section and couldnt resist buying some Jamon Serrano. Paired with ACME sourdough bread, some wonderful cheese from Market Halls cheese selection, it made for a very nice mid-afternoon snack. I wish my town in North Carolina could establish this type of market vs. the corporate models that are on every corner.

Lovely place for a great neighbourhood like Rockridge. I live in Oakland Lake Merritt area but have come across this place couple times while in Rockridge so finally gave it a try.Lots of pasta options and also available by the pound (loose) for approx. 5$ a pound. I honestly found prices to be quite expensive here compared to Wholefoods where you can get organic pasta for less than 2$ per pound. Definitely seemed good quality and like I said, LOTS of different pasta options!I honestly like to support locally made stuff because thats the whole point of being environmentally friendly, right? :P Many things in this store are imported, which is great but I wouldnt come here just to buy stuff and bring it back home to Lake Merritt. Including the 4$ return BART ticket, I would end up paying a lot for groceries so not worth it for me personally on that front. We picked up couple different cheeses, cold cuts salamis (4 different types), couple jams and dark chocolate that had a good price tag on it - happy me :)I was happy to see they had Bulgarian and Greek feta available loose by the pound and not super expensive - these are the stuff thats hard to find and would make me come back for. I wish this store was closer to my house to make it worth the trip here.Definitely recommend for all those around the area - great selections of cheese, meat, cold cuts, wine, pasta etc and a lovely bakery section and coffee and their restaurant.

This place is foodie heaven!! The most amazing selection cheeses, deli foods, deli meats, breads, pastas, veggies, sauces, spreads, and teas. Separate shops with wines, fresh fish, veggies, and butchered meats. Covid precautions are excellent, staff for the most part are extraordinary. Only downside is how much money youre gonna spend. Oh- and a free parking lot in Rockridge? Yes please!!

Everytime I went to buy fish anyone who is there shows a bad attitude, like impatient, rude, not helpful, the opposite of the butcher department where they are friendly and ready to help in whatever I needed. I am not going there anymore, they are not making me a favor. It is the opposite.

Youre immediately transported to a European market when you walk into Rockridge Market Hall. Market Hall Foods has a fantastic selection of quality products and prepared dishes that make busy weeknight dinners and special dinner parties a breeze! Just ask the trusted cheesemongers for their suggestion of domestic and international cheeses with a nice dried fruit or jam pairing and youll be impressing your friends and family. Our guests on our Rockridge Neighborhood Heritage food tour love this place ... and you will, too!

I ordered candied fruits and such from them online several years ago. I got the whole range, from candied angelica and citron-- very hard to find, especially uncolored, in the case of the former-- to the standard lemon and orange peel. Excellent products and totally worth the price! They even through in a freebie. Looking forward to purchasing other gourmet items from them in the future.

I went in expecting to find some unique items and was a bit disappointed by the selection. The store was much smaller than I expected and I couldnt quite pick out if they are trying to specialize in something because the items seemed like standard grocery fare to me. I ended up leaving empty handed.

This is my regular weekly groceries stop. For specialty foods.. especially European / Italian.. youll likely be able to find it at Market Hall! The market at the back has the best produce. And the fish monger is amazing. The prepared foods in the front have mouth watering options. the bakery has awesome tres leche cake and cheese bread. High wire coffee is amazing and also has regular stock of mochi muffins / donuts from third culture + pastries from starter bakery! There is off street parking available with spaces in an under garage so dont be discouraged to bring a car and load up!!

Simply the best place for cheeses, meats, specialty gourmet items, outstanding prepared foods, bread, unusual snacks, and those hard-to-find ingredients youve been searching for. The staff will give you tastes of items, especially nice to try the dozens of top-quality cheeses they offer. Lovely cooking gifts as well, including olive wood cutting boards sustainably harvested, and similar items. Across fro the Rockridge BART and with a parking lot accessed from Shafter near Forest.
