I came in here in the early afternoon of 21 October, on a strict budget and knew more or less the kind/style of mattress I wanted to buy. I could not have been more pleased with how accommodating and thorough the sales representatives were. They had me try three different mattresses within my target price range—all of which were great—and even helped me work out financing, which was a welcome surprise since I had assumed I would need to pay in full before receiving my mattress. I wish I could remember their names because they were so helpful and just lovely people (and a great sense of humor too). I would definitely recommend this place if you ever need a new bed. You owe it to yourself to sleep comfortably, and they can work with you even if you don’t have the most ideal financial situation.

I told the gentleman my specific needs and he showed me all the options that would work best for me. It made my decision easy and I was out of the store in about 30 minutes. Everyone was polite and helpful. They can also deliver as soon as the next day if the mattress is in stock, which is really convenient.

After sleeping on the same mattress for years and recently waking up with back pain every morning, I decided it was definitely time to look for a new mattress. I started with Mattress Firm and was greeted by George Segura, who was terrific. He spent a lot of time showing me the different mattresses, explaining the differences among them, and patiently answering all my questions. He didn’t try to promote the more expensive mattresses or push additional accessories. He asked me what my budget was and then came up with options that would fit within it. George is very professional, has a friendly, engaging personality and really listens to what the customer wants. There was no hard sell or pressure to buy right away. He represented what excellent customer care should be.I went to other mattress stores to see what they had to offer and to compare prices. I ended up returning to Mattress Firm and bought my mattress from George because of the service he provided, and the selection and prices Mattress Firm offered. I am very pleased with my decision and highly recommend Mattress Firm Oakland.

Came in for a new mattress and the Labor Day sale is awesome! Ended up getting a better deal than I was expecting for an even better bed than I set hopes on! Philip helped us out tremendously and got me set up with delivery the next day! Definitely the place for a mattress in Oakland!

Got no help with the people at the Oakland store while trying to get a warranty replacement for my father in law.My father who is disabled purchased a matress 2 years ago with a 5 year warranty. After 2 years the mattress caved in on the left side, causing him to slip off the bed and cut his head open.HE WAS REFUSED THE WARRANTY because of the blood stain that was caused by his fall.Then was given the run around from ART WHO IS THE DISTRICT MANAGER AT THE EMERYVILLE STORE AND REFUSED TO GIVE ME HIS SUPERVISOR INFO AND CONTINUED TO SEND US BACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHERE WE STARTED.BE CAUTIOUS OF THEM WHEN BUYING THE MATRESS AND WARRANTY as they tried there best to not replace it

Our salesman, George, was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. He was patient with out 16 year old, and helped him directly sort out what his needs were for a new mattress. The store maintained great social distancing and had hand sanitizers available.

We purchased a mattress in September and the mattress showed sinking and sagging within a month of use. After following up, the store associated confirmed that he saw a number of the mattress sold with the same issue. He agreed to return. However, we removed the tag and for this reason the driver refused return pickup. After we reach back out to the store for feedback, we were told that this would be escalated and was asked to provide photos for evidence. After we provided that information, it was completely non-response for a month. We called and were brushed off and denied assistance basically because the tag is removed. Despite the store knowing the defects existing from other customers, it did not provide any assistance to address this issue and has been non-communicative. I think the biggest takeaway for everyone is to keep your product tag or else you will be denied product warranty even if it is a defective product

Desperate to replace our 13+ year old mattress we checked out mattress firm Oakland. Carlos was very helpful and let us try a variety of styles. We ended up buying. Delivery will be tomorrow. Hand sanitizer and pillow napkins (read paper towels) were available. They do need to control the door though. Two couples and a single walked while we were there so appointments are optional?

Carlos at Oakland MF patiently showed me a thousand beds. He stood by, ready to help, yet assuming the air of professional disinterest that you want while simulating sleep in the side-lying position, tossing and turning, watching tv in bed, etc. He was genuinely patient and nice about it when I went back and forth, indecisively, between the same 2 or 3 beds over and over again too. THEN, when I decided, after my 120 night trial period, that I had gotten too firm a mattress, he did it all again. Just a as pleasantly. . Professional, efficient delivery and disposal of my old mattress. Aside from changing the sheets, pretty effortless purchase experience on my part. Happy with my restful new bed!

The Store manager was awesome!

I came in frustrated after 2 nights of sleeping on the floor because my old mattress does nothing for my insomnia, sciatica, shoulder pain and hot sleeping. Came in and Jen helped me immediately asked additional questions and I’m walking out within 20 mins with a new bed in my budget, better understanding of what I want from a mattress and optimistic hope that I will start getting some much needed sleep.

My mom got a massage chair and not even a week later the bearings broke in the arm. Had a technician come out and he said its beyond repair. We should receive a new thank god for the warranty we thought. Now they wont answer our calls and when we get a hold of someone they have an excuse for not sending the new chair. Today we receive an envelope with the bearings for what? To repair it ourselves? A $7000 chair? And we wouldnt touch it anyways it will void out our warranty. Very disappointed in mattress firm always heard good things Im not sure why this situation is occurring. My mom hasnt even had the chair 3 weeks and cant use it!

Tried to buy a mattress during their last day of the 4th of July sale. Got there after work at 7:30. Doors locked, sign still on the sidewalk, open sign and lights lit but nobody home. Should have gone to Alameda. Waste of time. Pretty disappointing. Sign and Google indicate they should be open.

Good place, the manager is very accommodating and went above and beyond to help me. Even in the instance where I wanted to exchange the bed for another. There is a 60 day return policy. You cant go wrong and also to mention the 3 month finance option is interest free if you pay it within 3 months. I got approved within 10 mins and the bed came the next day. Also when I made the exchange for the other bed the bed came the next day. Good prices, high quality beds, helpful people and quick delivery.

I went in on Wednesday to try out some mattresses, this location just opened recently and its 5 minutes from my house so super convenient. I ordered a new bedroom set and it was due to arrive on Friday so I wanted to go somewhere that had a nice range of different brands, prices, and styles. I worked with Rachel to find the perfect mattress in my price range. I told her I would come back the next day once I checked out some information on the bed frame I ordered. She was very helpful, and also e-mailed the information on the mattress I liked. I went in the next day and ordered my mattress plus bunkie board and was able to schedule delivery for the next day (Friday). April was helpful in explaining the pros and cons of each style and was respectful of my budget. All in all it was a great experience.

Im giving 1 star only because Carlos was so nice, friendly and helpful, he helped us pick the ideal mattress and delivered on time. However, when i was trying to call the store asking about my account information, the guy named Jordan who picks up the calls every time with no patience and started yelling at me when he wasnt able to help at all. Worst customer service and i would not recommend to purchase mattress from the store anymore. AFTER you paid them, the customer service turned horrible.
