Trying to get back to work while going through these difficult times can be exhausting. I reopened my small business selling my brand on multiple big online store platforms. I needed a car that was dependable and good on gas since I will have to drive and drop off packages to the post office every day. I found a car but was a little reluctant messing with dealerships.(Had bad experiences in the past) However, this one is a winner and Raymond made me feel comfortable and went out of his way to fix a small issue I noticed. He put not one but TWO brand new parts on the vehicle to accommodate me. I Really had a great experience!! I highly recommend this place and LOOVE MY CAR!!!

Oakland Kia is the only place to get quality service. The staff is informed, helpful, caring and provides even after purchase support, treating you as part of their family. I finally got a new car, with all the up to date conveniences, after driving for 18 years a Toyota. The Kia Soul was one among several competing manufactures ( Toyota, Honda, Mazda and Subaru) The Kia Soul is the most comfortable car imaginable. If you have the slightest concern for ergonomic car seats that allow comfort, ease and slouch free., this is the car to get. Any issues with discomfort for my back has totally disappeared. The car drives wonderfully and all itstandard equipment is treasure trove of conveniences and safety.This will be the best decision you make

I purchased a vehicle from this dealer about 2 months ago. Everything went great, Raymond was very helpful and made things fast and smooth. I went to look at the car and picked up the contract since I live in Los Angeles and everything was correct with the contract as me and Raymond had discussed, the car looked amazing as well! Just picked up a black 2019 Kia Niro yesterday and couldnt be happier. Christian and Jeff were so helpful and informative especially during these strange times. I really wasnt sure how the car purchasing process was going to be like because of COVID19 but they made it such an enjoyable and painless experience which we all know isnt always the case when purchasing a new vehicle. I cant thank them enough for their help. Not sure if it just the current market, but they currently, as of this writing, list that they have 7 Telluride SUVs in transit and ready to sell on their website, but to call for price. I called, and all the Tellurides are already pre-sold. If they are pre-sold, then dont list them. I understand the demand, however, once I was told they were presold, I was told I couldnt even order one through them, or get on a list to be notified when an actual, available, Telluride is able to be bought. I didnt even bother asking what the markup is, as I am sure it is outrageous. Wont be bothering with this dealership in the future as a poor 5 minute phone call just completely turned me off to them. They showed literally zero interest in having my business, and this was a call to their sales team.

We recently researched and tested several car options with several dealerships, and the customer service at Oakland Kia was outstanding compared to the rest! Raymond was very helpful in answering a lot of my questions over the phone and sharing a price estimate up front for a Kia Soul (no other dealerships were so forthcoming with this information). We booked an appointment for a test drive, and the car was ready to go and clean when we arrived. Charles was the person onsite who showed us the features of the car and what to know before we took a test drive (again, no other dealerships were so proactive in providing information about the car!). Ultimately a different car was the right one for us, so we did not end up going through the purchase process with this dealership. But the team at Oakland Kia were friendly, respectful, put no pressure on, while seeming to take us seriously as potential customers (other local dealerships were vastly different, particularly Hilltop Kia and El Cerrito Honda). Id highly recommend anyone considering a Kia to visit the Oakland location for great service and helpful information to help you make the right choice!

My experience with Oakland KIA is one that I will remember forever and I am so happy I went through them for the purchase of my dream car. Buying a car during this pandemic could have been stressful but Oakland KIA and their staff made it a walk in the park. I didn’t have to go in person I was able to do my trade in value of my current vehicle remotely and my contract was explained to me over the phone and the sales manager stayed on the phone with me while I signed everything to make sure it went smoothly. The next day my new SUV was delivered to my door and my trade in was picked up. This experience was amazing and was easier then ordering food at a drive through. If you want an experience like no other and want to be treated like a million bucks this is the place to get your next vehicle. If I could have given more then 5 stars I sure would have. Received outstanding service from Raymond. He answered all my questions and made the car buying process so easy. Once I notified Raymond what car we liked he gathered all the paper work and I was in and out of the dealership within 15 mins. They also take customer safety very seriously and wore masks and made sure the vehicles were cleaned prior to my test drive. Highly recommend buying a car from Oakland Kia.

I couldnt be happier with my experience with Oakland Kia! I first stopped in about a month ago. It was a weekday afternoon and I met with a laid back salesman who went with me on a test drive of a new Niro hybrid. He was open and friendly and made me feel at ease. My husband returned on his own that weekend and had a similar experience, though because it was Saturday, it was a bit more bustling.We continued doing our due diligence research online. We wanted to make an informed decision on which model and trim level to purchase, and of course, what was a fair price.I walked into the dealership earlier this week feeling equipped to buy a car (my first brand new car! and my first purchase not made at CarMax). I met with the same laid back salesman. I let him know the trim and color I wanted and he checked their inventory and confirmed they had that in stock. Next we talked about price. I was amazed that we were able to agree on a price and financing offer that I knew was fair (based on my online research on Carvana, Car Gurus, TrueCar, etc) without any haggling. I did a quick test drive of the car, and came back in to process the financing paperwork.After less than two hours at the dealership I headed back home in my old car. A couple hours later, the freshly washed new car (weve named her Babette) was dropped off at our house with a full tank of gas and charged battery. I signed a few more documents at home and that sealed the deal.I feel good about buying a car from a local dealer here in Oakland! The salesman, Scott, and manager, Jeff, were so easygoing, friendly, and respectful. They treated us with true customer service from start to finish, and never made us feel pressured to buy, or to purchase something more expensive.In terms of the car, we absolutely love it! We went with the Kia Niro PHEV which will allow my husband to commute using electricity(!!!). Time will tell, but were feeling confident the car will be reliable for years to come. If we encounter any issues or have questions, I have no doubts that Oakland Kia will help us in any way that they can.

Not your usual high pressure, back and forth, hide the ball type of buying experience. Found the 2017 Chevy Spark online as an internet special. Did my research and made what I thought to be a fair offer, all through email and text. Raymond, James and Jeff were all straight forward with no BS! Arrived from Sacramento to pick up the car on a Saturday morning with no surprises, no hassles. Was in and out in 30 minutes, full tank of gas as promised. We are in the process of getting some after purchase service set up for what appears to be a prematurely burnt clutch plate and we will see how that goes, but Im confident they will make it all good. I have purchased 35 cars in my life time and these guys seem genuine; I would recommend them to family. We Walked in fairly set on the 2021 Seltos.Raymond quickly set us up with a test drive, pulled the car out and sent us on our way. When we got back we explained that the car was exactly the same as the SUV we had and that we wanted different if we were going to be starting over. He understood, chatted with us for a bit about our needs then recommended another midsize SUV that was within our price range (the Sportage). Adding in that there was no pressure, the car would be there tomorrow & to take the time we needed. However, we had a good feeling. So he quickly ran down the block, grabbed the car and sent us on another ride. Within minutes we both knew it was our car!! It was comfortable, nice to look and & had all the bells / whistles we needed. Raymond was not only able to secure the car for us. He was also able to get the payment exactly where I needed them, without negotiating the down agreement AND was able to pull some string and get it in the exact color I wanted!! The entire experience was easy, stress free and quick. We will definitely be back for all future car needs!!

Feel extremely frustrated and lost. I was completely scammed by this place. I leased Kia Soul for 4 years (I would never recommend that car to anyone) and returned this car in August to this place and purchased a new one from them (even with a down payment). Upon returning Kia Soul I was never mentioned of possible charges on returned Kia Soul, by the way I went there a few times and they looked at the car bit never was there a mention of possible extra charges. Recently by accident I found out that I owe almost $2200 to Kia.When I called back and spoke with the manager Raymond he said that we never promised anything according our agreement... call Kia, call Kia, call kia... it sounded like a mantra from him. So I’d never recommend that place to anyone.

I never post reviews but I had such a great experience today at their service center; I had to talk about it. I went in to service my car and Kameron and Albert provided a white glove level of service from beginning to end. Ive been in the service industry for over 12 years and every once in awhile, I come across individuals who JUST GET IT. These guys are fully knowledgeable and knowingly sensitive to the fact that most people who come in to service their car is probably having a bad day. Kameron is brilliant in providing the necessary support, knowledge, and service that eases the stress and tension of having major car troubles. Its rare to find that, especially with our current pandemic. Which also should be noted as they responsibly follow all Coivd-19 safeguards necessary. Great Job, highly recommend. Thanks guys!

I purchased a certified pre-owned Kia from Jeff Lee at Oakland Kia. While Jeff is a Sales Manager and doesnt usually work directly with customers, I asked for his assistance when I arrived and he kindly helped my wife and me. Throughout the buying process Jeff was very professional and responsive. I am an attorney and a rather detail-oriented person and was impressed by Jeffs dedication to ensuring some fix-up items I found in the car before we purchased it were taken care of, and most impressed when, after we had purchased the car and I found a problem that same day when I arrived home, I called Jeff and he honorably and professionally took care of it without additional cost to me. In addition, when I took the car into the Oakland Kia service and parts facility to take care of some of the items I mentioned above, the entire staff was professional and courteous. While I dont normally like the car buying process at most dealerships, I found the process with Jeff and his associates at Oakland Kia to be a professional and positive experience, as was the follow-up process with the service and parts departments. I came away impressed by Oakland Kia and the Kia car we purchased. It is a lot of car for the money (more bang for the buck than most cars out there). Overall, a well-earned 5 star experience.

However, due to their volume, they were not very responsive or willing to work via email or over the phone. Was treated very well at Kia. No real complaints. The vehicles I wanted to test drive were ready for me (though one was very dirty on the outside) and the salesmen were friendly and cordial. Told the manager I was looking at another vehicle (through another dealer) and wasnt hassled at all. He gave me a very fair written offer at the outset and encouraged me to return if and when ready. If I dont buy from them now, will definitely do so in the future.

I worked with Raymond in the sales dept. (great response time btw) for about a week, texting and emailing back and forth. Due to the shelter in place I was hesitant to drive an hour away just to browse and come home empty handed. Communication and texting can get confusing sometimes but Raymond was very patient and I didnt feel pressured at all. He was understanding of my current situation during this difficult time and he put in a lot of time and effort to get me and my family in a safe reliable car that would work for us at a price we could afford. Even though I was hesitant and unsure about my first car purchase, I left with confidence. So since there is a global pandemic going on, I called to make an appointment to test drive a car. They said they had several available. I arrived at the agreed upon time and no one knew of my appointment. That would have been fine, except that it took 20 minutes for them to go to their offsite lot and bring back…THE WRONG CAR! Salesman then tried to convince me that the electric car he brought back “drives the same” as the hybrid that I requested. Haha. Needless to say I just walked away. With that kind of service and “knowledge” why would anyone buy a car from them. We will see how it goes at San Leandro.

Took car in for recall service, vehicle was in the dealership for over a month. (5 weeks) to be precise. Picked up vehicle in a dirty condition. Dealer could not even clean the interior nor exterior. The supervisor apologized to me saying he has been off work for a few days as he would have ensured the car was cleaned.

I then asked for information and quotes about the car and the person told me to send a text with my email which I did and never received any information after expressing I was needing to get a car in the next few days. Not impressed by the service at all. I ended up going over to Toyota down the street and getting a car.

It was one of the most aweful car buying experience. BE CAREFUL WITH FINE PRINTS BEFORE YOU SIGN!! They tricked us with promised price, then increased the price on the paperwork when we were ready to sign. We are going to report them to the FTC for consumer fraud. They fail to fully disclose final pricing, sneaky managers. The managers do not care about their workers or customers. Well take our money elsewhere. I would advise you to do the same.

Richard Huang assisted me during my visit at the Oakland KIA dealership. He is friendly, helpful, and not a pressure cooker of a salesman. I’m not a fan of shopping for cars but he made my experience a good one.I knew what I wanted already and he didn’t try to put me in a car I was not interested in. I had to leave and he emailed an offer not long after I left as he promised. We negotiated a bit and came to an agreement quickly.The best part about dealing with this dealership is they got all the paperwork ready for signatures before I went back to make the purchase. Instead of the usual 5 hours, I was in and out within about a half hour!!! It was great!

1.0 star rating 8/25/2017I have been a loyal customer at Kia Service for about two years, and I loved the service and how I was treated. Unfortunately, that took a turn for the worse today. This past week, my interior front upper light console fell out and is now hanging down by electrical wires. It hit me in the face while driving on I-80 (scary but kinda funny afterwards). I taped it up and immediately scheduled an appointment for when I could take off work. I received a reminder email the night before the appointment. Then the day of they called me before my appointment and told me they didnt have time to service my car. I wouldnt usually be upset about it, but I had to take the day off plus its safety hazard. They clearly dont value my time, and they probably wont value yours.I wanted to warn anyone that this is probably a good place if they have the time to service your car, but they clearly dont adhere to their scheduling system and are willing to bump people off their schedule. Complete bummer that they dont even treat their loyal customers well.

I had a great experience leasing a Kia Soul EV from Oakland Kia. They were very straightforward on the pricing, had the best price and provided the quickest car purchase I have ever completed. I had a great experience at Oakland Kia getting a new car for our family. The sales folks were helpful and informative, but not pushy. I immediately got to test drive the car I was interested in, and the person joining us on the test drive shared a lot of useful information about the car without feeling like they were desperately working towards a commission. I got a fair trade-in offer for my current car, with a break down of where that number came from.When we decided to go ahead and make the purchase, the financing and other paperwork was put together explaining to us at each step whats happening, what were signing and why. Zero shadiness or lack of clarity. While we were going through that, other folks detailed the car and filled it up with gas.In addition to having a great experience dealing with folks at Oakland Kia, we are absolutely loving our new Niro. Unethical, incompetent, and rude. Sold us a used car, we got it checked out by a mechanic, found out it has a blown head gasket and a bunch of other problems which would have cost close to $3000. Thankfully we bought cancellation insurance so we returned it. They were very rude and told me what were you expecting? Its a used car. Yeah bro, I expected the car to be free of major defects. Stay away.

This event had happened almost 2 months ago and there has been no help from the Oakland KIA dealership or KIA assistance center since. I bought a KIA Stinger on the January 28, 2018 in the afternoon at Oakland KIA. When I was driving back to Sacramento that evening, the car overheated 3 or 4 times. I had to contact the saleperson throughout this. The next day, I had to tow the car to Paul Blanco Kia dealership in Sacramento because it was the closest one. After looking at my car, the reason was one of the clamps to the engine was not properly tighten and therefore was leaking coolant which did not properly cool the engine. This was the reason why the car was overheating. The Paul Blanco Kia dealership told be to complain as it was Oakland Kia for not fully inspecting the vehicle before selling it off the lot. I contacted Oakland Kia manager Jeff about this as it was going to easily lead to problems down the road and that it was their fault for not fully inspecting the car before selling it off the lot. The manager was rude and obviously did not care. I have contacted KIA assistance center and as did my mom who was in talk with Eddie. Since that 2 weeks, Eddie cannot be contacted and nothing has been resolved.

I was very disappointed my car was not cleaned after being serviced at this dealership. The explanation was they were too busy servicing 5 auction cars delivered that day! Not a good excuse for a paying customer, especially when it was the most expensive routine maintenance service cost experienced on the car in two years. They are too busy thinking about their next sale so take your service somewhere else!

I walked in ready to purchase a Stinger and got no assistance from the 2 salesmen in the whole in the wall “showroom” because they were too busy on Facebook. Go elsewhere for real customer service!
