They made the best of accident. The best choice to give the insurance company. From coming in for evaluation, to actual repair - I was well taken care… They even made the car rental work seamlessly.

This was just a short visit for an insurance adjuster, but I have to say that everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. They seem to have a genuine culture of great customer service.

Very happy with the work done on my brand new polestar, they fixed the damage some knucklehead did while parallel parking in front of my car. My car was hit while parked. It had body damage that needed repair, potentially some replacement pieces, and repainting. Uptown quoted a fair price, was clear about the repair work that needed to be done and what could potentially change once the damaged pieces were inspected, did a great job fixing and repainting everything, worked quickly, and were open and communicative the entire time. I highly recommend them!

The front bumper got pulled loose & broken on my car so I needed it replaced. Uptown did a great job and they even touched up a couple of small random scratches/chips so they looked better & won’t rust.The job ended up taking 2 weeks (was estimated to be 1) mostly because they had to wait for insurance approval for some additional damage they found.My only minor complaint is that I only ever proactively received 1 call telling me there was a delay. It would have been good to get at least 1-2 other progress reports without me having to call. But really, overall this is a great shop that does fantastic work with really nice people.

This wasnt my first time at uptown, and the reason that I kept going back to them is because of the way they treat you, whether it is in professionalism, hospitality, or the care and respect that I experienced at this location filled with wonderful people. And mostly I loved sitting at their waiting room which was filled with warmth of hope and encouragements that we all in need in our lives nowadays, to specify I am referring to the beautiful words of wisdom hanging around that waiting room. And this tells you what they are really about, its not just a business to them, from I can understand, meaning they really do show care as best as they can. Keep it up guys, and wish all the best.

The total experience at UpTown is so wonderful that I might be tempted to have more damage to my car so I can go there again! The work is complete quality and the people are consumate professionals plus kind and gentle handed. The interior design of the non-working part of the garage where one is greeted and checked in plus the waiting area with an espresso machine and full line of teas ..... well, you feel like you are in an art museum or a lovely hotel!

Uptown has been my go to body shop for years. They are thoughtful, communicative professionals who take great care with the quality of their work. They truly support the local community as well. They have local art displayed on their garage walls and they have hosted art & non profit events in their beautiful and immaculate space.

Uptown did their job plus. Plus helping me navigate the the time gap waiting for driver at fault insurance to kick in. Uptown knows just how long to wait without causing delays and communicated frequently that first week getting things rolling. Uptown makes the rental car connection easy. Uptown does a great job on cars and understands customer service. Doesnt matter that I am the thousandth customer who get rearended, I was treated as an individual who had a bad experience and needed assurance things would get fixed. Upon my arrival, I was hooked up with Rodrigo Serpas the estimator. He was very professional, responds to all my emails and questions within 30 minutes. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. I learned that the company I work uses this shop and that on top of the great treatment of my wife and I made my experience spectacular.

They informed me when my car would be ready but it wasn’t until a day later.They have a convenient shuttle service so getting to and from their location was quick and efficient.I noticed upon leaving my passenger seat was in the recline position and the seat emblem was broken. They had pictures taken the afternoon of the morning that I brought it in showing the broken emblem and therefore stated it was not their fault. I believe I would have noticed it that morning but could not swear to it. I seldom have passengers It left me with an unsettling feeling.The work on the body was excellent.

Uptown Body & Fender is an amazing place. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. Rodrigo was the service manger who assisted me. He was extremely helpful and professional. He explained in detail how the damage on my vehicle could be fixed. The work they did was on my vehicle was exceptional and was done at a fair price. The building that houses “Uptown” is a story in it self. From the creative “Uptown” sign on the front of the building to the skillfully designed interior make this a very special place. There are at least 100 paintings that were done by a local artist which are beautifully displayed on the brick walls inside. It almost doesn’t seem like an auto body shop. Across the street is another building where “The Oakland Palestine Solidarity Mural” was beautifully painted by several artists from around the world. This incredible mural is about 15’ high and about 100’ wide. Giovanna who is the manager at “Uptown” took time to give me and my friend some of the rich history about this lovely mural. Even if your vehicle doesn’t need bodywork right now you might want to stop by to see the incredible artwork and maybe pick up a business card while your there. This is not your typical auto body shop. It’s a wonderful experience in every way.

I have used Uptown over the years whenever I have body work needed in one of my cars. They are very customer service oriented, professional and have the cleanest auto body shop I’ve ever seen anywhere! It might be in part due to the fact that this is a woman owned business. Giovanna is also very generous to the community and let’s community organizations hold fundraising events in her shop. It’s a fabulous space and she is very gracious.This time my car was determined to be a total loss and the shop handled everything with care and concern. In the past the work has been top notch and on time. I highly recommend Uptown for any vehicle body work.

Over my 30 years in Oakland I have used Uptown whenever I needed body work done (on car, not me!) It is so unique that it is hard to describe .....Like how many body shops have professional art work on the walls and in the office/waiting area? They are so customer centered to assure we are comfortable and understand all of whats going on. They are organized, efficient, took care of calls to rental car company, and practice all virus safety measures.The especially exceptional experience for this minor bumper repair is that they discovered the reinforcement/impact bar was damaged under rear bumper, which is a safety issue. I bought the car used and was not informed of this and it was not repaired it as it should have been.I asked them to go ahead and replace and it did not delay the completion of work. In fact it was ready sooner than I expected!AND they completely washed the car! Whenever you have the choice use Uptown! Insist Insurance use them!

I have been a customer and fan of Uptown Body & Fender for many, many years. Today I picked up my 2016 black Mercedes after repair of significant right quarter panel and both doors and rear bumper. As always, the work is excellent, delivered in impeccably clean condition. Looks like a new car. Lady “Boss” Giovanna is terrific as is the whole crew and the shop is always immaculate. I couldn’t recommend Uptown more highly. I wouldn’t keep returning if not overly satisfied.

My car had an attempted theft, I called my insurance company they recommended I take it to Uptown Body and Fender. During this time of shelter in place they were very good about how they were handling social distancing and still being professional and efficient. They got my vehicle repaired within 24 hours of drop off, they kept me abreast of all the work orders and insurance needs prior to my dropping it off. Should I ever have need any type of body work I would definitely take my car to them. I truly appreciated their diligence and professionalism.

We had an accident and brought car to them for estimate. Although they were not an approved shop with USAA, our insurer, they were totally up to speed with dealing with USAA. The estimator, was a former adjuster, and he was very knowledgeable and helpful and available.... Unfortunately, our car ended up being totalled, so we did not have repair done. But, we had a good experience, considering the circumstances. Very responsive to our questions.

I was banged up; the car was mangled. Of course I was sure the nasty insurance company would total my old car. I was heart-broken.
