I grew up going to this bead store and it is a tribute to them that they are still there going strong after all these years. I love seeing people in the store discovering beading for the first time and working with the helpful staff. I Recently, I drove a good distance to go to the store and arrive 1 hour before closing and I was met with a locked door. They were closing early without warning. After asking if I could grab something I needed, I was let in and I did my shopping quickly. I appreciated it, but was incredibly rushed and I had planned to spend a lot of money there that day. And this last time I went, I noticed charms I have purchased in bulk from Amazon listed for $2 a piece and I got 120 of them for $12! This is a ridiculous markup. I understand you are paying more than you would online at a bead store, but I wish it was a little closer to reality so I could justify going back. People who bead and craft know that going to these stores is about the experience and community and so a little markup is expected, especially with good service, but this markup seems extreme.After this last trip, I dont think I can go back. I kept noticing items 5x and 10x (and more like my example above) what I can find elsewhere. And they didnt have some of the standard bead supplies I thought they might.

Wonderful bead shop, pretty much have everything you need, charms, stones, crystals, all different types of jewelry string, cords and chains, clasps... its endless. The staff can put your design together for you or there is a little station in the back where you can use their tools and make it your self! So nice!

Great offerings, wish it was located closer to home!! On the other hand, perhaps its fortunate that its so far from where I live, or I might shop there far too often!!! Beautiful beads of every imaginable kind, from gemstones and handcrafted materials to metal and clay-- and a broad expanse of findings (including precious metals) and other assorted supplies for crafting and/or creating jewelry.

This is a great bead store with a beautiful selection of beads. They are so helpful and the lessons are great. Thoroughly enjoyed shopping there and learning from Beadworks.

Not sure theres a better bead/beadcraft store anywhere: its packed to the ceiling with beads and findings, plus cord, string, chain and fasteners in different metals. The staff is almost always extremely friendly and knowledgeable: now and again one of the young women can have a little bit of an attitude, but for the most part theyre great.

Incredible quality and prices! Staff are very friendly and helpful. I bought a piece of Druzy and she (I think her name was Hanah) helped me find the right color of leather to hang it from and even put it on the cord and tied the knots for me! So sweet! It was my 3rd time shopping there and I will return...

AWFUL! I went looking for some help on a project I was interested in making and had a terrible experience. The employees paid no attention to their customers around the store and when I asked for help I was told to look around the store to find what I needed. Terrible experience, I found a few things I liked but I decided against them purely because I did not want to give them my business. Spend your money else where, I think it is appalling to think customers can be treated so rudely.

I have found the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. They took the time to answer my questions and provide me with direction. Rents are expensive in Fairfield County and to my knowledge this is not a chain store. If you are looking for Michaels prices then shop at Michaels, but if you want beads, crystals and pearls, etc. of quality then you have come to the right place.

I grew up (26+ years ago) going to the Norwalk store as a treat for some reason. I remember digging in the $5 treasure bin because I could get so many beads. My mom always set a budget for me and I always left kicking and screaming.In 2011, I moved to Tucson and was exposed to the Gem and Mineral show...I bought a ton of stuff and didnt use it, primarily because I didnt know how and felt uninspired.I moved back to the area and was thrilled to see Beadworks in Fairfield!!!As a novice, I would go in and poke around, see things I liked. In June of 2016, I had major spinal cord surgery that laid me out for 5 months.In preparation for that I purchased a variety of things to keep me busy.I didnt realize that my recovery would be so intense, but after I became mobile...I was in beadworks daily. I had so many questions about gemstones, techniques, problem resolution, etc.; and the team there was always willing to help me understand where I went wrong and what I needed to do instead. I often just sat there beading and listened to their advice and techniques. I have met some of the most inspiring and incredible people there, just by sitting at the front table and working on projects (that I dont have the self-discipline to finish at home). Some of these people have become VERY good friends.I give a huge shout out to Maggie, Briana, Amy, and Hannah. Thanks for all your advice and assistance! Fairfield is LUCKY to have you!I say that because after living in Tucson, AZ and going to the shows & being able to purchase whatever I wanted at the shows...I was never as inspired until I met you!
