Needed a replacement bathroom faucet so we popped into Bender as we have used them a few years ago. We are also planning some upgrades in near future in the kitchen. We had the great luck of having salesman Jay Rivera help us. As he was ordering our faucet, we mentioned the kitchen and discussed kitchen faucet and sink we had in mind. I liked a sink with drain off to the side but said I didnt want to have a plumber get all involved with moving the drain under the sink. Jay said that would be unnecessary. To our delight, Jay is also a plumber by trade and explained how it would work. He also went ahead and priced a couple of kitchen faucets so we can start planning the kitchen and order when ready. We cane away so impressed with Jays knowledge of all the various product lines and features/compsrisons, his invaluable plumbing knowledge, thoroughness with the initial order so we got ALL the parts necessary, AND his patience with our questions. He rotates among all the Bender locations, so find out when he will be at your nearest Bender and definitely ask for him. Additionally, the Bender showrooms have just about everything you need for kitchen, bath, bar projects including tile and hardware and lighting. Showroom is large and laid out in an organized manner.

Really professional guy and knew his stuff on bathrooms and plumbing. You could hear the excitement in his voice when he spoke about it! He was super helpful and I appreciate the time he took to speak with me. This is the type of service that I like!

Went in to purchase a kitchen sink and various other items. Was ignored when receptionist was socializing with a fellow employee. Found the sink we thought we wanted to purchase went back to frontdesk for help..she said she would find a salesperson..no salesperson to help. Can I make you an appointment for another day? Again after to talking to other people and on phone. We walked out. They obviously did not want to help. Frustrating to take time out to shop and no one can help.

Do not do business with this company!!! Non-existent customer service . I have been waiting for faucets for three months. Every step of the way I have had to call to find out when I would get the order. I was finally promised that the order would arrive last Friday. Not only did they not arrive, I had to follow up myself. God forbid they call me and tell me there was a problem. Then they promised me the order today. Guess what... no order. I have had it!!!!!!!

My husband and I had the best experience in the Norwalk location this weekend. Crystal was so nice and helpful, even though we clearly had a small project and were not ready to buy. The trainee who was with her (in training, but she obviously knew her stuff) was extremely knowledgeable and helpful as well. While we were browsing another gentleman offered to help us and offered water as well. So refreshing to be treated so well! Excellent service - I will definitely be back for any big projects we take on, and highly recommend!

My husband and I visited your Norwalk store this morning. Beautiful store, appallingly bad customer service. If zero was a rating option you would receive it. Unwelcoming environment, starting at your “reception desk”. The three women working behind the desk ignored us and continued their conversation with one woman actually turning her back as we walked past them. We wandered through the store and after about 10 minutes one of the ladies tracked us down and without any introduction or interest in what we needed she told us all salespersons were busy today, and we needed to make an appointment. Maybe that’s true. Did I mention we were casually dressed and we felt we were “profiled” by your front desk staff as not serious buyers or affluent-enough customers. We left your store without making an appointment and won’t be returning. By the way, I’ve read your reviews it appears that this type of rude behavior is not an anomaly.

Bender in Norwalk Ct - I went there recently to order a quality polished-chrome shower curtain rod and its wall-attachment pieces in same finish. Note: no hardware store, nor Home Depot or Lowe’s stocks such things. I was told to go to Bender and they were great: I sat down with a representative and ordered the above at a very good price; and picked up these items up three days later. An excellent experience. Outstanding service and customer support at the Norwalk store. We purchased all our plumbing fixtures for a recent remodel of our kitchen and two baths. Our sales ladys (personal assistants) Payton and Alex are really fantastic.

I purchased a floor model chandelier. It was missing the very bottom crystal. Eventually, I decided to call Bender to ask about getting a replacement crystal. I began working with Kathy on my request. She was extremely friendly and worked diligently with the vendor to get the replacement for us free of charge. Since the chandelier had now been discontinued, there was a good chance that we may not be able to get it. For such a small item, Kathy, continued on working with the vendor to find one and get one for me. She has it now at the showroom for me to pick up. I am so happy to complete the look of the chandelier and was especially pleased with Kathys good work and time in this matter. I will definitely go to this Bender showroom again for any new lighting!!!

She greeted me and made me feel extremely comfortable in the showroom. We had spoken on the phone so she an idea of the style I was trying to achieve. Kathy was prepared with materials, specs, plenty if ideas. She walked me through Benders beautiful showroom to make me feel comfortable and confident about all my choices. Top shelf plumbing supply and design center.A CT. staple carrying some of the major brands in the industry from Kohler kitchen and bath products and the most exquisite mosaic tile and offerings from SICIS of Ravenna, Italy. Fell in love with a glass product called Vetrite that comes in tiles to larger format to full slabs. Over 150 plus textures and color groupings. Absolutely a find in a local establishment in this 4th generation of family ownership.

Bender has great quality and a huge selection of products. The people there are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them!

Very large selection of fixtures (plumbing mostly but lighting as well). None of it inexpensive. Service was decent although had to wait a bit. I think this is probably the new normal in COVID-19 times. Although they were busy, I felt left alone while I browsed. That is good and bad but mostly good.

We just finished a major master bathroom renovation and the BEST part of the project was Amy at benders! They say attitude is everything, if it is this young lady will go far. Everything was NO Trouble. When we did have a slight problem with a small part of our extensive order, Amy came to the rescue rush ordering a replacement and handled the return of the faulty item with no difficulty. I have worked with many local companies and even when the product is fantastic [as it was as benders] it still always comes down to service. With Amy it was always a positive can do attitude. Would recommend Benders without hesitation, [just make sure you ask for Amy]

Our experience was first rate. Kathy Woolsey was our designer/sales person for two projects; one locally in Wilton and one long distance in Florida. She made the process easy for us with great advice on size, placement, lumens, and style. Kathy understood our needs and made recommendations that were a perfect fit. I have shopped at Bender Norwalk for almost 15 years. I keep returning because they always provide great customer service. I recently updated a bathroom that I renovated five years ago (using Bender for all the fixtures and hardware). Amy Nunez did a great job of helping me match the original hardware and she even managed to find a shower door in stock at Bender’s main warehouse. Amy’s persistence allowed me to finish my update in only two weeks.

Love the great customer service they load it up onto my vehicle. Very happy with my purchase and level of customer service provided. Bender is the kind of business that many persons might not know is a consumer facing as well as a business facing store for home decor for kitchen, shower, home fixtures. I first discovered them from my contractor during a house renovation. But just last week I had a problem. I needed a new soap dispenser for my kitchen that had to match my existing fixtures. I went to Bender and they could not have been more helpful, more smart, more nice. The person I worked with was Jessica and she was so sharp and quick to solve my small (but important) problem. No attitude, no hesitation, no please wait a moment, just positive energy and a quick solution. I cannot recommend Bender too highly simply because of their positive and professional attitude. Of course the store has choices by the thousand but some times the way you are treated is what counts the most. If I have another fixture issue, I know where I will be going.

Gina Balducci helped us select, order and purchase plumbing and fixtures for a decent sized whole house remodel. Many moving parts to the project. Coordination with designer and general contractor, supplements to the order and questions along the way. All super smooth. It was a pleasure. Gina and Benders are great.

Worked with them as a referral from my contractor. READ THE YELP REVIEWS. They are knowledgeable and make a good first impression. Also like other YELP reviewers experienced, let the buyer beware when the inevitable return has to take place. Even though they have a showroom full of lights, these are NON STOCK items. When we found we had to change design in a bathroom remodel, they told us that the light was a SPECIAL ORDER and they did not have to take them back. We bought all of the bathroom accessories and fixtures so this fact was not obvious. I spent $1000s there. In spite of having a lighting showroom, displays and sales people, they do not stock these products. After arguing, they begrudgingly took back the light, withheld 25% restocking fee and are making me wait 4 weeks to get a credit on the one lousy $200 item I had to return. They are really nice until something goes wrong.... BEWARE

Terrible customer service! Would not go back again.This review was followed up with a call and they were extremely nice and apologized. They said this is not their standard and they made it right for us. I appreciate the fact that they listen and care!

** DO NOT BUY ** Purchased a Rheem PDV75P from Max Bender June 2013. Was told it was commercial grade and it cost just under $2,000. Its now June 2020 and we have replaced the controller/ignitor and now having to replace pressure switches. Ironically its just past one year of a six year warranty. One year after the warranty expired, and the repair costs for major new parts are adding up. That must be the new engineering standard for what is sold as commercial-grade equipment. Bender was helpful in the sale, but gave us the Heisman in terms of helping out with the warranty or standing up to the product. If it falls to the manufacturer to handle any problems, no wonder people just use the internet and drop-ship. Now dealing with Rheem directly, and they are thinking they might pay for parts, but not confirmed yet. Definitely would not buy this unit. Attached the label so folks can see the Serial Number

I frantically called Bender of Norwalk with a shower remodel fire drill. I needed shower materials asap and Amy Nunez was AMAZING! She was so helpful. We are renovating two bathrooms, top to bottom. In deciding who to work with, we visiting several showrooms throughout Fairfield Cnty, as well as online. The showroom is lovely and their selection of everything bathroom is vast. Our sale associate, Hernan, is very knowledgeable, helpful, and he spent all the time we needed in guiding us through more decisions than I can count. Highly recommend this showroom.

I rarely write reviews. On this occasion I would like to tell you a little about my experience at the BENDER store. I have several years of working with them to buy items for my company and also some beautiful items for my house. My experience has been excellent especially with Miss Amy, she has always helped me with everything I need. On one occasion I had a problem with an engine of a bath tub that had been lost, check in several places and they failed to find it. I remember almost collapsing because it was an expensive tub. When I checked in Bender they could follow me the engine very fast and we could do the installation as soon as possible. Regarding my experience I recommend Bender and especially Amy, she is a very kind person. Also the warehouse service is excellent they always help me when I go to pick up the items.

I would give them zero stars since they locked the door on me an hour before their official closing time. Granted, its the Friday after Thanksgiving. But I walked in the door, realized I had dropped a part in the parking lot and went back to pick it up. By the time I got back the old, fat guy behind the counter had locked the door and was doing the “thumb across the throat” sign for “we are closed.” Despite the fact that he still was helping a customer. And he did the same to another Contractor who walked up to the door. Nice. I will go spend my money somewhere else from now on.

Excellent tile displays and selection. This showroom isnt over whelming so its easier to make decisions. Loni and Jessica are super helpful and patient. Loni is terrific with design advice and he makes it fun.One major complaint I have is the hassle of getting your sales rep on the phone or getting assistance from someone else when your rep isnt available. Your call goes to the reception desk in New Haven first so its five minutes with them before you get bounced to Norwalk. Then it takes another 5 minutes with Norwalks reception desk before you get to a sales rep for help (maybe.) Its very frustrating so Bender needs to improve access more seamlessly. Even trying to type in the first 4 letters of my reps name to get to their voicemail failed.Best way to communicate with Bender once you become a client is email, but then you will wait half a day for a response.

Buyer Beware. I would give this company zero stars if it was available. They will gladly take your money and not deliver as promised. Do yourself a favor and go to Lowes or another store for your lighting fixtures.The lighting / sales manager Jessica was very nice and helpful during the sales process, however, that’s where it all ended. After confirming that my fixtures were in stock, and available for delivery, she gladly charged my cc $1500 and I was on my way.Fast forward 3 weeks , no lights and I have attempted to call Bender 4 different times to confirm delivery. Jessica was “busy” with other customers and unwilling to speak to me over the phone. Also, none of the other sales manager were available to confirm my delivery date or available to speak to me about the status of the lights.So I am filing a complaint with the BBB, charging back the items on my cc for a refund and will take my buisness elsewhere.Thank you.

Called in to get the pricing on 6 PVC Sch 40. The guy at the counter told me that this is a very complex question and there is no way for him to give me that price and hung up.Called in again spoke to another guy, he managed to give me the price per linear foot, but quickly told me that they dont have those in stock and before I was able to ask about the lead times and quantities he hung up as well.Called in again and asked for the general manager, but was told that hes busy in meetings for the foreseeable future and his contact information cannot be disclosed.

The worst experience by far from a parts department. Gentleman had no idea how a common brand new Kohler kitchen faucet operated when I asked a question about how to replace a valve. He insisted the part was “soldered” when it was apparent by anyone (with no plumbing experience), could see the valve was a quick release. He merely dismissed my concern and told me I could buy a new faucet in the show room. If this is an example of the quality and experience of the Bender business, I will never shop from them again.
